Leila headed back to the kitchen, sending in a new order. She'd be off in an hour and she couldn't wait to get home. She had only a few tables and couldn't wait to get them finished.
She headed to her new table to take the order, smiling politely at the customer. "How can I help you?"
Travis headed into the store, looking around for Faith. All he had was a picture and what his mission was -to keep her safe- in his head. He knew it was much more than that though. He headed in, looking around until he saw her, working behind the counter. Silver sighed a ittle as she helped the customers then began to bag the items while she waited for them to pay for their things.
He looked at her and flashed her smile, "I'll take a sweet tea and some of the best waffles please," he said to her.July 12th, 2015 at 05:39am -
"Sure thing, I'll put that right in for you," She smiled, picking up his menu and setting down coasters. "I'll be right back."
She took his menu and sighed, setting it down onto the hostesses station and going to get his drink and put his order in.
She turned, seeing someone walk into the restaurant and head straight towards her, pulling a gun and pointing it at her forehead. It happened so quickly she didn't even know how to react other than to scream and duck, running away from him as best she could.
A woman carrying a box of cookies went over to Faith, setting them on the counter and staring at her. Travis watched, remembering that the robots on the surface looked like humans but were unable to blend in well. The woman's hand shifted, turning into a metal blade and she moved as if she was going to stab Faith and he knew he needed to move fast, taking out his gun and shooting the woman immediately. He knew it would only slow her down, but it would slow her down enough to get Faith out of there.July 12th, 2015 at 03:20pm -
She screamed at the sudden movements and nearly fell back onto the floor when she heard the gun shot, "What the fuck," she whispered as she scrambled back and onto her feet.
He growled a little and pulled his gun out and shot at the mechanical figure, "Get down!" He told the girl as he continued to shoot at her keeping her down.July 12th, 2015 at 03:50pm -
She screamed, seeing the man fall over but move as if he was only knocked down. She crawled along the floor, trying to get away and seeing the man move to crawl after her. What was going on? Why was he trying to kill her?
The machine moved after her again and he shot at it repeatedly, moving closer to Faith. "Come on, we need to move now!" He yelled, holding his hand out to her.July 12th, 2015 at 04:37pm -
She grabbed his hand and pulled herself up, "what is going on?" she asked as she was pulled from the building.
He kicked the machine in the head putting bullets into it, "You have to come with me, or you'll die," he said to her.July 12th, 2015 at 07:07pm -
She stood up, moving away from the robot and behind him. "What is that thing?" She asked, moving away from it as quickly as possible. "What's happening?"
"It would be easier to explain a little later, we need to get away from here as quickly as possible." He said seriously. "How well do you know the area? If I get us a car, can you show me how to get to a town at least 3 hours away?"July 12th, 2015 at 07:13pm -
She nodded a little,"Yes, yes I can," she said to him, "As long as you promise to tell me what he fuck is going on!" she said to him, "We want to go that way, its to avoid high ways," she said to him, "Traffic will pick up shortly, school isl etting out,"

He pulled her towards the car he had stolen earlier, climbing in and speeding off. The machine was already on its feet and chasing after, gaining speed. "Take the wheel," He said, leaning out the window to shoot at it.

He shot at the robot until it fell, knowing it wouldn't stop but it was at least delayed until it could find them again. "Alright, i can take the wheel, we need to get away from here right now."

"When we're safely away, I'll answer all of your questions. There could be more coming, and you probably want to be sitting down somewhere stationary when I explain." He said seriously.

She pointed to the sign on the freeway, showing the highway out. "That way. Can you explain to me what's happening now, please? I'm really confused," She added.

"The future..." She said skeptically, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm sure you realized that that thing earlier is a robot, and far too advanced to be from this time." He said with a shrug. "It's a cyborg, and it was sent back from the year 2028 to kill you. I was sent as a way to protect you from it." He said slowly. He pulled out a picture of her, one that was taken of her in that time and sighed. "This is very weird, I know. "Where are you taking me?" She asked him, looking around. "I have an apartment, you know. We could just go there."
"We get you as far away from here as possible. I have another soldier here to get someone in a similar situation. We need to meet them in Utah, theres a safe house there." He explained. "Because they won't stop until you're dead."July 13th, 2015 at 02:59am
