She buried her face in his neck and sighed, thinking about today. "Do you think were at war?"He smiled a little and began gutting and cleaning it, putting what wasnt needed into a trash bag. "Maybe we'll get an idea if whats happening in a few days."
He nodded,"Definitely at war," he said to her.She nodded, "Make sure you hang that somewhere safe - we don't need cougars or bears," she told him lightly.
"Its so strange. We hear of soldiers in other countries but never here." She murmured. He nodded at her. "I know," He said, finishing and heading out to tie it up and get rid of the bag.
She sighed a bit then rested her head in her hands, "How could this even happen?" she asked herself softly. He nodded a little,"Yeah, well this will be a wake up call to our country - if they want to do terrorism they will," he sighed.
She nodded a little and sighed, closing her eyes. "It's crazy," She murmured. "But I'm glad I'm safe, and you're safe. I just hope my parents are okay."He headed back in and sighed. "No idea. It's crazy," He murmured, sitting down next to her. "But everything will be okay."
He nodded,"I'm sure they're safe," he said to her, "Your dad is ex military I'm sure he had a plan,"She nodded and leaned against him, "I'm happy I'm with you, " she said to him gently.
"I know, I just want to know they're safe." She murmured. He nodded. "Me too, I probably would have gone back to make sure you were okay if I hadn't seen you."
He nodded a little and yawned. "We're going to need sleep," He murmured, laying back onto the bags. She nodded and kissed his neck. "Come on, let's go to sleep," She murmured. "We have to find out what's happening tomorrow."
She followed him over and laid down, closing her eyes. "Thank you," She murmured, closing her eyes and laying against him."I won't lie to you and say yes, but eventually everything will be okay." He said softly, laying down.
The next morning she woke up and looked around before stretching and sitting up as she yawned. She could hear the birds chirping but she could smell something in the air - smoke, something she wasn't used to smelling in the woods.
