"But no matter what happens I'm going to make sure you're safe." she said and leaned forward and kissed his cheek. "Promise." she whispered and laid her head on his shoulder knowing there was nothing she could do to make him feel better.

Katie was quiet a while before she nodded. "Okay." she said guessing they would use his room because it did better during the storm then her room did.

Reece nodded, 'thank you," he said lightly. He walked over to her and hugged her softly, 'Hopefully we'll hear something in the morning," he said

Katie wrapped her arms around him and nodded. "Hopefully." she said and sighed. Katie closed her eyes letting him hold her. It felt nice to be in his arms.

Reece smiled softly, he let her go, "shall we head to bed?" he asked softly. He was glad she was going to stay with him

Katie smiled softly. "Alright." she said and took her book standing. "I will be right there. I am going to change first." she said and smiled softly before moving to her room.

Reece nodded lightly, and headed towards his room. He changed clothes into his pajamas before climbing into his bed.

Katie dressed in her pjs and then moved to Reece's room. She slipped in and smiled at him. "Hey." she said and moved into his room and moved into his bed. Katie cuddled into Reece and looked at him wondering if he was going to be alright if something happened to his parents.

Reece smiled when she came in, "hey" he replied quietly. He put his arms around her and attempted to get some sleep, although he didn't think he'd manage to get to sleep at all, with how worried he was

Katie curled into him laying there in the dark. She bit her lip and rubbed her back. After a while she whispered to him, "Are you asleep?" Katie let her eyes she had been resting flutter open as she looked at him.

Reece looked at her, "no, I can't keep my mind off the worry," he said softly

Katie found his face in the dark and she cupped his cheek and bit her lip a moment. "I know I'm worried too." she said and pressed her forehead to his. Katie leaned her head up her nose touching his and she heisted before pressing her lips to his gently.

Reece kissed her back softly, "what will happen if they are dead?" he asked softly once they'd finished kissing.

Katie frowned. "If there is no other family to take you in then you will go into the system with me. But I know this system Reece and I will make sure we end up together. I will take care of you." she said and cupped his face. "Shh don't think of this anymore tonight." she said and took his hand running it up her shirt until she could feel his fingertips brushing her breast.

Katie looked up at him and cupped his cheek as he asked if he was sure. She smiled softly quite for a while. "I'm sure. Just don't make any rude comments or think this is something you get to decide you want, It's mine to give and mine alone." she whispered. "As long as that is clear then you won't regret it." she said because she knew what she wanted and though she wasn't really the commitment type she did want Reece now.

Reece nodded softly, "I can live with that," he replied quietly. His hand now holding her breast more firmly. He lent in and kissed her softly. His mind had been successfully taken off his worries, and turned towards how beautiful she was.
