gonna make you sweat, gonna make you groove

  • "I want this, Sam." Callie breathed. "I want you so bad." She hadn't heard what was going on down the hall either. She'd been too caught up in kissing Sam at the time, they'd honestly kind of been in their own little world since they'd both woken up this morning, and now she was definitely focused solely on the younger Winchester and nothing else. This morning things had felt normal, and she sought out normalcy just as much as Sam did.
Dean wiped at his forehead and winced a bit at the tenderness. "Well, when I'm kissing an attractive redhead, I don't exactly expect to get my head bashed against the wall." He told her before nodding in response to her later words. He shut his eyes for a moment when he felt a little bit dizzy. Yep, definitely a concussion. That was going to be freaking fantastic to deal with. "You're telling me." he said as he started down the hallway to his and Sam's hotel room.

  • Sam sat up not wanting to waste anymore time and moved to slide his pajama pants and boxers down his body. He tossed the articles of clothing haphazardly on the floor, moving to help the blonde take her t-shirt off when the hotel room door slammed open. Sam quickly moved the blankets to cover Callie and him up, aggravated at first Dean cockblocked him, opening his mouth to start yelling at his brother when he noticed some dried blood on his forehead. He took his clothes from Melody when she handed them to him, watching the redhead lead his brother to the bathroom with some ice from the mini-bar and the first aid kit. "Guess they got a head start on hunting," he grumbled. Sam quickly made work of putting his clothes back on, opening the bathroom door and watched Melody start dealing with Dean's injuries. "Did the ghost get you," he asked.
Melody handed Dean the dish towel she had filled with ice, having him place it on the bump that was already forming on the back of his head. "This is going to sting like a bitch," she stated. "But I need you to stay still while I figure out if I need to stitch anything up." She redhead grabbed a q-tip and hydrogen peroxide, cleaning the blood of Dean's forehead and any other signs of blood she could see in his scalp. Once Melody was sure she cleaned everything up she had Dean move the towel, frowning at the wound that was on top of the bump. "You're gonna hate me but that bump needs stitches," she mumbled. "Do you want some booze before I do it?"

  • Callie was ready to unclasp her bra when the door of the hotel room slammed open. There was a brief deer in the headlights moment on her end before Sam was moving to pull the blankets over them both. She would have been more embarrassed and a little pissed at Dean and Melody if she didn't notice the dried blood on Dean's forehead. "Looks like it." She said quietly in response to Sam's words. Once they were in the the bathroom tending to Dean's injuries, Callie got out of bed and grabbed her jeans from yesterday, pulling them on but opting to wear Sam's shirt instead of her own. "What the hell happened?" She asked as she walked over to the bathroom, leaning against the doorframe.
"The bitch freaking possessed Melody." Dean said, flinching slightly when Melody pressed the q-tip to a rather tender part of his head. He knew it was where the bump was forming on the back of his head. He shook his head when the redhead asked him if he wanted some booze while she stitched up the back of his head. "I've had worse, sweetheart." He said before looking to Sam and Callie who both still seemed a bit in the dark about all of this. "We were headed here to find you two when it happened."

  • Sam watched the way Melody seemed to hesitate every time Dean would wince or cringe while she cleaned his wound. He almost would have thought this was her first time doing this kind of thing if he didn't know any better. He was sure John would have made sure the redhead knew how to patch someone up if they got hurt during a hunt. Sam looked over at Callie, wondering if she knew why Melody seemed so timid, his eyes following the blonde's when he noticed the red head was crying.
Melody closed her eyes for a few moments, clenching her eyelids shut tightly and took a deep breath before she began sterilizing the needle and thread. She tried to go as quickly as possible without making the stitches sloppy, not wanting to scar Dean because she got possessed by the stupid ghost. "If you need a moment I can take over," Sam offered. Melody looked up, the mirror in the bathroom reflecting what Sam and Callie were seeing. The redhead was crying and Melody hated herself for it. "I'm fine," she snapped. "I fucked up and I need to stitch him up." Melody finished up Dean's stitches in no time flat after that. She cleaned the wound and made sure the stitches wouldn't cause any scaring before she left the bathroom to raid the mini bar for something strong and full of alcohol.

  • Callie could tell that Melody was having a hard time cleaning Dean's wounds. She had never seen her friend hesitate like that before, and then the redhead's eyes seemed to glisten with unshed tears when she started stitching up the wound on the back of his head. She exchanged a glance with Sam before he asked Melody if she wanted him to take over. She wasn't at all surprised when her friend snapped at him. She never liked showing any weakness and Callie knew that. "I'll talk to her." She said quietly, giving Sam's arm a light squeeze as she brushed past him and out of the bathroom. "A little early to drink, don't you think?" She asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow.
Dean wasn't able to see the way Melody was acting as she cleaned his wounds or the way she acted when she stitched up the wound on the back of his head. When Sam spoke, he wanted to glance in the mirror to see why his brother had asked that but he knew better than to move his head while someone had a needle that close to it. He didn't want to fuck up the stitches there already. When Melody finished up, after snapping at Sam first, he watched as Callie followed her out of the bathroom. "You two got cozy real fast." He commented to his brother. He wasn't really that surprised that his brother and the blonde more or less picked up where they had left off that summer.
    February 23rd, 2017 at 06:22pm
  • Sam couldn't help the scoff that escaped his lips at Dean's comment. He should have expected his brother to say something especially since he had essentially cock blocked him when they had stormed in earlier. "Seems like I could say the same to you," Sam countered, a slight smirk playing on his lips as he spoke. "She seemed pretty upset by the fact you got busted open." It made Sam wondering if Dean had actually slept with the redhead last night. "What did you two do last night?"
"I'm fucking pissed," Melody stated. She hated that she was crying and she was absolutely livid that the ghost had possessed her. The redhead quickly found what she wanted, grabbing the small bottle of Jameson whisky and down in one big gulp. "Someone else got hurt because I was reckless," she stated. "I promised myself that I wouldn't let anyone else get hurt on a hunt because I dropped the ball and Dean just did." The redhead was sure the boys or maybe even Callie would think she was freaking out fornaomething little but to her after John had died little things like what had happened to Dean caused her to freak out and have panic attacks. This was probably the first one Callie had been unlucky enough to witness though.
    February 23rd, 2017 at 07:29pm
  • Callie frowned. "Melody, you weren't reckless. That ghost possessed you." She told her friend. She had never seen the redhead like this before. She didn't realize just how much her father's death had impacted Melody, but she was beginning to think that was why her friend was freaking out right now, and it wasn't entirely because Dean had gotten hurt. "He's had a hell of a lot worse than a bump and a few stitches, Mel." She might had only been with the Winchester boys one summer, but she'd witnessed a few nasty injuries in that short amount of time.
"You didn't walk in on me though, did you?" Dean countered, punctuating his words with a raised eyebrow. He couldn't help giving Sam shit for walking in on his brother and Callie the way that he and Melody had. It just wouldn't be Dean at all if he didn't at least comment on it once or twice. "We had a couple of drinks, listened to some good music and we might have fooled around a bit, but that's it." He shrugged his shoulders. "She shouldn't be upset, I've had a lot worse than this."
    February 23rd, 2017 at 07:44pm
  • Sam looked at his brother, rolling his eyes at his comment about walking in on him and Callie. The younger Winchester opened his mouth to argue with Dean about his stupid comment when he heard Melody's raised voice in the main part of the hotel room. It almost sounded like a panic attack with how she had acted in the bathroom and what he was hearing her say to Callie. "Go tell her you're okay," Sam ordered. "It sounds like she's having a panic attack."
Melody scoffed when Callie said Dean had been through worse. "You know your dad used to say the same thing before I got him killed," she snapped. The redhead swatted away the tears that were now falling down her face in waterfalls. Melody grabbed for another mini bottle of Jameson and drank that quickly, focusing on the burn she felt as the amber liquid went down her throat instead of the racing of her heart so loudly she could hear it.

  • Callie frowned. "Mel, that wasn't your fault. We've talked about this before, it was a freak accident." She told the redhead. She always told her friend that she didn't blame her for her father's death, and it hadn't come up in conversation for a while now. She could understand why Dean getting hurt would cause her to bring it up though, and she also understood why Melody was acting the way that she was.
Dean frowned when he heard Melody's raised voice from the main part of the hotel room. He stood up and made his way out of the bathroom. He hadn't seen the state the redhead was in when she exited the bathroom before, and he came out just as she downed what appeared to be a second mini bottle of Jameson. "Hey, Red..." He started, approaching her slowly. "You know that I'm alright, don't you? I've had much worse in the past, trust me on that."
    February 23rd, 2017 at 08:53pm
  • Sam followed Dean out of the bathroom, wondering if he had read the situation correctly. Had she been having a panic attack or just having a bit of a mental breakdown for some reason? As he walked into the main part of the hotel room he heard Melody mention John, Callie's dad and he knew exactly what was happening. The redhead blame herself for what happened to John and was still drowning in guilt from it and possibly the loss of her family as well. Sam stood besides Callie, watching as his brother approached Melody. He honestly hoped Dean could get through to her since him getting hurt was what triggered whatever was going on.
"She shouldn't have been able to get the jump on us," Melody snapped. "I should know better by now." The redhead frantically began trying to wipe the tears from her eyes, hating that not only Callie but Sam and Dean had now seen her cry. She always thought crying was a sign of weakness and now she was sure the Winchester would probably think she was now. "Can we just gank this bitch and leave please?"
    February 23rd, 2017 at 10:04pm
  • "Listen to me, Red. She caught us both off guard. It happens to even the best hunters sometimes." Dean told Melody. It honestly tore him up to see her this upset and over him no less. He knew that he hadn't directly upset her, but the bitch fucking his head up had triggered her, so it still tore him up quite a bit. "We can, but you need to calm down before we do anything." He wasn't about to let her go after some ghost when she wasn't thinking clearly. That never ended well.
"Why don't we all go grab breakfast and then we'll come up with a game plan?" Callie suggested. She knew that Melody hated crying in front of people. Callie had been hunting with her for a few years now, and she hadn't really seen the redhead like this before. She knew her friend was probably frustrated because of it, and it didn't help that Sam and Dean had witnessed it as well.

  • "We need to find that portrait." Melody stated. "We find it and burn it and then we can leave." She didn't want to leave or take a break. The redhead needed to prove herself now more then ever to Callie and the boys that she could handle the ghost they were hunting. She ran her hands through her hair, exhaled slowly and sniffled as ran her hands over her face. "The sooner we finish this the better I'll feel."
"Melody you can't push yourself," Sam insisted. "You need to breath and get refocus." The younger Winchester knew what he was saying came off as stern and a little abrasive but they needed Melody to listen. If she was a ball of frazzled energy and was off her game it could only cause problems and give the ghost an unfair advantage. "Look Callie will take you back to your room to grab a jacket and we're all eating while we make a plan."
    February 24th, 2017 at 03:45am
  • "Sam's right, Mel. You need some time to clear your head." Callie told her friend. It didn't surprise her that Melody just wanted to get right back into things like nothing had happened, that was just how the redhead was, but it really didn't sound like a good idea at all. She just hoped Melody didn't fight them too much on it. "Come on." She nodded her head towards the door before looking to Sam and Dean. "We'll meet you boys down in the lobby in a few minutes."
"I'm siding with them on this one, Red." Dean said. He was sure that the redhead probably wouldn't like the three of them taking the same side against her, but tough. They were thinking rationally right now, she wasn't. And that was precisely why they were all going to grab some breakfast and figure out exactly how they were going to bank this bitch before they actually did anything. It would give her an ample amount of time to refocus and calm down.
    February 24th, 2017 at 04:16am
  • Melody sighed softly as she ran her hands over her face and through her red curly locks again. "Alright," she grumbled. "Just no rabbit food." She needed something greasy, covered bacon and maybe gravy to feel better. After all she had just mad an ass out of herself in front of three people and she hadn't even allowed to let Callie see her this way before. The redhead knew she had screwed up big time and she knew she'd have to make it up to them all eventually.
Sam couldn't help but laugh when Melody mentioned not wanting rabbit food. Dean had used the same statement when talking to him several times in the past. While Dean ate a cheeseburger he grabbed a salad and that would be when his brother started tossing the term around. For Sam it just about wanting to stay completely healthy and fit because apart of him wanted to out live hunting with his brother and go on to have a normal life.
    February 24th, 2017 at 02:09pm
  • "You can order the greasiest thing on the menu if that's what you want." Callie said as she walked out of the hotel room with her friend. She glanced over her shoulder and sent the boys a small smile before making her way to the elevator. "So what's going on with you and Dean?" She asked Melody as she leaned against the elevator wall and waited for it to go down to their floor. "You two spent a lot of time with each other yesterday." It was slightly off topic from what had just went down back at the hotel room, and she figured that was what her friend needed right now, a change of subject.
Dean chuckled softly at Melody's comment about not wanting rabbit food. They really were more similar than he thought they were at first, and he was noticing more and more similarities between them the more time he spent with her. Once the girls had left the room, he walked over to his duffle bag to grab a change of clothes. "Are you and Callie picking things up from where you left off then?" He asked his brother. He assumed that was the case from what he saw, and he wasn't really asking to tease his brother about it either. If things didn't work out and they didn't find a way to save his ass from going to Hell, he'd be a bit more at ease knowing Sam had someone to look after him. He didn't want his brother doing anything stupid.
    February 24th, 2017 at 03:02pm
  • Melody have Callie a small ghost of a smile when she told her she could get the greasiest thing on the menu. If she was honest with herself the redhead was sure if she didn't get such a good work out from being a hunter she's probably be extremely overweight. She loved bacon, gravy and anything that could possibly considered southern comfort food like chicken and waffles. When the blonde asked her what was going on between Dean and her, the redhead responded with a simple shrug. "We just got drunk and talked," she replied.
"I think so," Sam admitted. He slid on his jacket, moving to sit down on his bed and slid on his boots. "It almost feels like we haven't been apart as long as we have," he stated. "What about you and Melody," he questioned. "Did you two get cozy last night?" Of course Sam knew some sort of friendship had to have bloomed for Melody to have any sort of freak out because of Dean's minor injury.

  • "That's it?" Callie asked, punctuating her words with a raised eyebrow. Something told her that her friend wouldn't have reacted the way that she did to Dean's injury if they had only gotten drunk and talked the night before. Once the elevator reacher their floor, she walked out and made her way down the hall to their hotel room. Once inside, she grabbed a change of clothes before turning to her friend. "I'm going to change real quick and then we can head downstairs and meet the boys."
Dean nodded. "Well, she was the first girl you ever showed any real interest in." He said to his brother. "That's bound to count for something." He was glad that Sam seemed to be rekindling things with Callie. He liked the blonde, she was good for his brother, and he knew she'd take care of him if he did end up going downstairs in a year. "We drank and talked like I told you earlier." He said, punctuating his words with a slight shrug of his shoulders.
    February 24th, 2017 at 06:15pm
  • Melody bit down on her bottom lip, her cheeks flushing when Callie asked if anything had happened. The redhead knew Callie wouldn't judge her for almost sleeping with Dean or telling him about her family. If anything John and Callie were even more understanding of her actions then her family were most of the time. "We talked about my family," she mumbled.
Sam nodded in agreement. "Callie is definitely one of a kind," he replied. "What did you talk about," Sam asked. He wondered if the redhead had opened up to him about what had happened to her family. "Did she mention how she met John and Callie?" If she had opened up to Dean it would be interesting to hear how much she did actually open up to him. From what Callie said it was a very sensitive subject for the redhead.
    February 24th, 2017 at 06:54pm
  • Callie walked into the bathroom and changed really quick before walking out. She looked to her friend in shock when she spoke. "You did?" She asked. Melody never talked about her family with anyone. Callie only got a small portion of the story from the redhead when the first started hunting together, and occasionally when there was something that would remind her of her family, but normally it was just small details here and there. The fact that she'd talked to Dean about her family was kind of huge.
"She's good for you, Sammy." Dean told his brother. Dean always thought that the blonde was good for his brother. Sure, they might have just been kids when they meant, but there had definitely been something there even then. Dean knew Sam saw himself getting out of the life at some point in the future, and he could definitely see the blonde being the one who get out of the life with him. They were definitely suited for that apple pie life, Dean most definitely wasn't. "A bunch of stuff. We have similar taste in music, we exchanged a few hunting stories." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Uh yeah, she did actually."
    February 24th, 2017 at 08:02pm
  • "That stupid song came on," Melody grumbled. "I started tearing up and slammed my laptop shut while it was playing." The redhead sat on her bed, biting down on her bottom lip as she ran combed her fingers through her hair. "I felt like I owed him an explanation and what was supposed to be just a simple explanation turned into me talking to him about that night."
Sam nodded in agreement with his brother when he said Callie wasgood for him. She had honestly been the one person that had kept him from running away that summer. Sure her dad, John had made things more tolerable then hunting normally was when it was Dean, his dad and him but she had really made it more then tolerable. Callie had made it liveable. When Dean stated Melody had talked about her family his eyes widened slightly in shock. "What happened," he asked. "When I asked Callie about her she said Melody's family was a sensitive subject."
