this means war.

Charlie woke up with a groan. She had the dream again. The same one she had been having almost every night for the past ninety two years. She got dressed after she had showered and done her morning ritual. Charlie walked downstairs to have breakfast with Marcel, as usual. Marcel was the only family she had left. He's also the only one that knows how she really felt when the Originals left New Orleans. Charlie gave him a small smile as she sat next to him at the table. She started to put some food on her plate quietly, "Do you want to talk about it?" Marcel asked like he did every morning, "There's nothing to talk about. It's the same dream every time. I finally find him only to have Mikael show up and make me watch as he kills him right in front of me." Charlie replied back flatly. She missed him so much every day. She missed all three of them. They were her family. They took her in when she first got to New Orleans and treated her as if they had known her their entire lives. Then Mikael came and not only did she lose her family, she lost the man she loved. She knew that she would never love anyone like she had Klaus. She was in so much pain when she lost him and actually had considered flipping her switch so she didn't have to feel that pain anymore. Marcel had been the one to convince her not to do it. She was thankful for it, though.
It had been so long since Elijah had returned to New Orleans. He knew that Niklaus was going back to basically start a war. Elijah was his family and would go anywhere with his brother. Family was Elijah's weakness, not in the same way as Klaus though. Where Klaus' weakness for family was having a family who didn't disappoint him, Elijah would do just about anything for his family because he didn't want to lose it. So he followed Klaus everywhere. When it meant going to Mystic Falls to stop him from breaking his curse, he did it, even though in the end he let Klaus go through with it. Klaus had betrayed Elijah so many times, but he still loved his brother more than anything and would still do anything for him. Rebekah just followed Klaus because she didn't want to be alone. Regardless of their reasons for being there, the three Originals still ended up back in New Orleans, the city they had basically help build.

Eleanor had been in a sour mood from the moment she woke up. She hated waking up and feeling that same confusion and fear she had first felt many centuries ago. She could vividly remember the fear crawling through every thought when her eyes snapped open to see the empty dark field she was left in. She could still feel how soaking wet she was. The thing she remember most was the one thought that stood out the most and that was how much she wanted to rip someone's throat open and drain all their blood into her mouth.

To this day, she still hated what the Mikaelson's had done to her. They had left her alone in that field and they had changed her into this monster without her consent. It took decades for her to accept that she was a vampire and to learn to control herself when she was feeding. She had so much blood of the innocent on her hands and she would forever blame the Mikaelson's for that.

Eleanor downed the rest of her whiskey before she grabbed her helmet and stormed out of the bar without a single word to anyone who was sat in there. Unlike the rest of the vampires in New Orleans, she wasn't as social. She avoided their politics and their hate towards the witches and wolves, but she helped whenever she was needed. Most of the vampires in New Orleans had little to no trust towards her because they knew nothing except for her fighting skills and her name, but for some reason Marcel did even from the moment she walked into town. As long as he had her back, she didn't care about the other.

She headed towards her motorbike and threw a leg either side of it before she slipped on her helmet. She had her ear to the ground all this morning. She had this gut feeling that something bad was going to happen. She started her motorbike and glanced ahead; that was when she knew that she was right. She saw the back of Niklaus Mikaelson's head and if he was here she knew that a war was brewing because if he was here, the rest of the Mikaelson family was going to follow and they would want their home back even if it wasn't theirs anymore.

She revved her engine before she took off; heading towards the compound to inform Marcel.
Niklaus had been wanting to come home for a very long time. He had missed the life he had in New Orleans before it was ripped from his hands by his devil of a father. Now that he was home, he was going to claim back what was rightfully his, even if it meant ripping a few hearts out here and there. He walked the street with his eyes surveying every little thing and person he saw. He knew by now that Marcel should know that he was back and he was sure that his brother wouldn't be too far behind in returning to their home.

When Klaus had fled from the city, he was sure Marcel had died. He had seen the theatre up in flames with Marcel still tied up inside, but here Marcel was, still kicking and thinking that he was the king of the city. Klaus wanted to take that from him as soon as possible.

There was still one thing on his mind that he didn't know and that was what happened to Charlotte that day. He remembered he told her to run and he hoped that she had run as far away as she could. He truly did love her even if it was hard for him to admit that out loud. Sometimes he wondered while he tried to sleep or while he was painted was what would happen if he saw her again. Would he let her in like he had once done? Would he still love her as much as he once did? Would she still want to have anything to do with him after he had left her behind?

As a motorbike roared past him, it snapped him out of his thoughts. He knew it would never quite be the same especially now.

Charlie was talking with Marcel when she heard a roar of a motorbike come towards the compound, "Ella is here." Charlie said as she looked towards the gate. Charlie didn't mind the vampire as much as the others in the quarter. She actually liked having another girl vampire around. She ate more of her breakfast as Ella walked in before looking back over at her, "What's up?" She asked. Usually Ella only came around when she had information for Marcel about something happening in the quarter. Ella didn't really get along well with the other vampires in the quarter. She felt differently than they did about the witches and the wolves. Charlie was more sympathetic to the wolves because of the fact that Klaus is part werewolf. But that was it. The witches got no sympathy from her at all. They had tried to kill her on more than one occasion, so she felt there was no need to be nice to them.
Elijah pulled up outside of the restaurant where Klaus wanted him to meet him. He passed by a motorbike on the way and almost hit the person driving by accident. He shook his head as he pulled into a parking space and got out, looking over at Klaus, "Niklaus what am I doing here?" He asked impatiently. He knew that there was going to be a war between Klaus and Marcel. Elijah knew that Klaus wouldn't go one week without trying to regain his thrown over New Orleans. It just wasn't in his nature to give up. Elijah knew what was coming. By this rate, Marcel probably already knew that the Originals were back in town so he would probably be prepping for a war as well.

Eleanor's emotions were running high as she stormed into the compound. Not only had she seen the one and only Niklaus Mikaelson, but her just repaired motorbike was almost wiped out again by some idiot on the road. She was not in the mood to have the Original's start shit today. Her eyes searched frantically for Marcel until they finally found him and Charlie in the kitchen. "Why is he here?" Eleanor questioned loudly as she paced back and forth; staring at Marcel. "There has to be a reason. He always has a reason for doing things. He just doesn't flee and come back to the place he fled from," she rambled as she continued to pace back and forth.

"Ella," Marcel said calmly as he stepped towards the girl. He shot a quick, confused glance over at Charlie before he placed his attention back onto the pacing girl. "What happened?"

The look Eleanor gave Marcel made him take two steps back. He had only ever seen that look once before and that was the first and last time he had said Elijah's name in front of her. "You don't know who I'm talking about?" she said amused, but that anger took over her face once again. "Why the hell is Niklaus Mikaelson here?" she snapped.

Her eyes fluttered close as she took a deep breath in to calm herself down. "He's here and the rest will follow. They always follow each other no matter what. There has to be a reason they have come back. We need to know that reason..." she trailed off as her eyes opened and found Marcel shaking his head. "We all know he will want his spot back as king and that he will kill for it, but I am not going to let that happen... There has to be more; he doesn't just want his crown back. This is Klaus, there is always something more."

She didn't care that she was talking like she knew him because she did. She knew Klaus, she knew Rebekah and she knew Elijah even better. She may not have cared much about witches and wolves, but the one topic she cared about was the downfall of the Original Family. She didn't want them to die; she wanted them to suffer as much as she had.

Eleanor stopped pacing and stared up at Marcel. "I am going to find out the other reason they are back and I am going to personally make sure they do not take this place back. This is not their home anymore."
"Brother!" Klaus shouted as he clasped his hands together and stepped closer towards him. He had a cheeky smirk on his face as he stared at his brother amused. "You came here at your own free will," he replied simply with a shrug of his shoulder. He removed his eyes from his brother and began to survey the streets of the French Quarter again.

"Haven't you missed it, Elijah?" he asked after a few moments of silence. "This place was truly like home and I want it back." Klaus' voice held a serious tone to it as he stepped closer to his brother. "And I am going to whatever it takes to make it mine again." Klaus stepped away with a devious grin and turned his back on his brother. Klaus reminded silent for a moment, but soon clapped his hands together and spun back around to face Elijah "But I am afraid that will have to wait until later because I found out who called me back here. The witches are conspiring against us."

Charlie stood from her spot next to Marcel and watched as Ella paced back and forth in the room. Charlie didn't know what was going on, and she was even more confused when Ella started speaking. When she replied to Marcel's question when he asked who she was talking about, Charlie could have sworn she felt everything stop, "He's....here?" She asked quietly as she looked at Ella. She could feel the tears burning the back of her throat but had to fight to keep them down. Charlie looked over at Marcel, "Marcel, he's here. They're back." She stated. Everything else that Ella had said about Klaus probably wanting to be king again and all of her freaking out was just going right past Charlie because the only thing she could focus on was that he was in New Orleans. He was back. Part of her was so happy that she wanted to cry and the other part of her was so angry because he had just left her and Marcel in New Orleans. She knew they didn't have a choice when they fled, but she was still beyond pissed.
Elijah nodded slightly at his brother's words, "I have missed it indeed." He replied before he raised his eyebrows at Niklaus' following statement, "You're not going to be able to just come back in after ninety two years and take over the quarter again, brother." Elijah said. Both brothers already knew that somehow Marcel had managed not to die in the fire that Mikael had set, and that he was now running the quarter as the Original family had did so many years before. When Klaus spoke again Elijah laughed slightly, "They're not conspiring against us, Niklaus. They're conspiring against you." He informed him. Elijah had been briefly caught up on what was happening in New Orleans and he knew that the witches were plotting against his younger brother. Elijah also knew that Klaus would do anything to stop it.

Eleanor placed a hand on her hip and had a small smirk playing on her lips when Marcel agreed to her help. She could feel herself calming down and her mind slowly clearing so she could think of what she could do next. She had to find out what brought them back or, more importantly, who. The wolves were no threat at this point of time; they hadn't even tried to step foot back into the quarter. The humans were smart and wouldn't get involved with the Originals. That only left the witches in Eleanor's mind and one witch jumped out the most. Sophie Deveraux.

Charlie's soft words made her snap out of her thoughts and a frown deepen on her face.

"Yes, he's back," she said seriously as her eyes flickered to Marcel for a split second.

"But you can't trust him Charlie," Marcel told her sternly as he folded his arms against his chest.

Eleanor knew the story behind Marcel, Charlie and Klaus. She knew every detail and she had a feeling it might not end well for Charlie. She liked the girl; she was smart, beautiful and could kick some serious ass, but right now with just mentioning Klaus' name, in Eleanor's opinion, she looked weak.

"There may have been something real back then Charlie, but this is a different time and you need to know that you can not trust him," she said sternly. "He will find you, he will say things to you, but when he finds out your Marcel's right hand lady, he will use you. He will try everything to get what he wants and he will not care who he hurts in the process." Eleanor sighed loudly. "You two can discuss the Klaus matter for as long as you wish, but I am going to find out what I can from Sophie Deveraux. I think she might be involved."
"You underestimate me Elijah," Niklaus replied coolly as he smirked once again. He had a plan, he always did. Nothing and no one was going to stop him doing what he wanted to do. He was going to take it back. He knew it was not going to happen in a day or a week, but it was going to take him a little bit longer than that. He could take it back by tonight if wished just by ripping Marcel's heart out in front of his followers eyes, but he didn't want to do that. No, he wanted to see Marcel's face when he ripped his kingdom out from under his feet.

"I am aware that it is mainly me the witches want, but now that there are two of us here, I am sure they would want you too," Klaus replied back. "You might want to talk to Sophie Deveraux. I have another lead I want to follow." Klaus smirk widened as he stepped back from his brother. If he thought what the witches wanted him to do was right then he was going to get a head start and have a little chat with Marcel. It wasn't going to hurt him to find out who the weak person was in his little kingdom while he was there.

Charlie frowned at Ella's words before she looked over at Marcel, "I'm loyal to you. I'm your right hand. I will always be your right hand." She stated and gave him a look, "I won't see him if you don't want me to." She finished. She owed Marcel her life. She would have driven a stake through her own heart after she lost Klaus, but Marcel convinced her not to and made her his right hand when he decided to take the quarter as his own. He gave her a purpose to get her mind off Klaus, "Charlie I'm not going to tell him you're not allowed to see him. I would just prefer that I get my plan together before you do see him." Marcel said. Charlie nodded in response, "I'm going to go see Davina to see if she will tell me anything about what's going on with the witches." She said to Marcel. He nodded. The only witch that Charlie didn't mind was Davina. She actually thought of the younger girl as kind of like a sister. She and Charlie got along pretty well. Charlie looked over at Ella and nodded, "Let me know what happens with Sophie." She stated before she walked out of the compound and towards the church.
Elijah nodded at Klaus' words, "Don't forget that Rebekah is going to be here as well. She is on her way here. It took her a little longer to get out of Mystic Falls." Elijah explained. When Klaus told him to talk to Sophie Deveraux, Elijah nodded, "She's the one that works at the bar right. Marcel killed her sister the other night?" Elijah asked. He knew that this was the correct information. Elijah figured now might not be the best time to talk to this girl, but he couldn't wait because he knew that Klaus wouldn't wait, "I'll let you know how it goes." He said before getting into the car and driving to the bar where Sophie worked.

"It is bound to get interesting between Sophie and I," Eleanor mumbled; shooting a glare at Marcel. "If someone hadn't of killed her sister, it might've made life a little easier for me, but I have a plan. You should be glad I have a way with words and knives, Marcel." She let out an amused laugh as she patted his shoulder. "Good luck with Klaus. I'm sure he will be here in no time. Just keep Charlie at a safe distance away from him. Don't want to see her getting hurt." Her smirk dimmed a little as she turned her back on him to head out of the compound.

"She will be okay. I've got her back," Marcel replied which made Eleanor smile to herself.

She nodded her head as she headed out of the compound and to her motorbike. She slipped her helmet on as she started the engine. She revved the engine for a few seconds before she took off; heading to Rousseau's. She parked out the front and quickly ripped off her helmet before storming inside the bar. She smirked wide when she saw Sophie was the only person in the bar and that she behind the counter pouring a glass of whiskey. "For me? How did you even know I was coming?" she laughed loudly as Sophie eyes grew wide.

"No, get out!" Sophie shouted in reply when she saw Eleanor. "Your friend killed my sister."

Eleanor made her way over to her and used one hand to grab the glass and the other to pull out the dagger she kept hidden in her jacket pocket. She took a large mouthful as she slipped onto the barstool and twirled the dagger in between her fingers. "That's not my problem. She shouldn't have been using magic," she shrugged without any emotion. "You simply have two options. One: tell me why you and your sister brought the Originals here and what you have on them or, two: I slit your throat and then I go after the rest of the coven until someone finally tells me the reason," she said with a sickly sweet smile.

"I have no idea what you are talking about," she lied which only angered Eleanor more. "You wouldn't dare kill me or anyone part of the coven. The moment that slipped out of Sophie's mouth, Eleanor was behind her with her dagger pressed hard against Sophie's throat.

"You've got five seconds to tell me everything before my hand accidentally slips."
Klaus nodded his head as Elijah spoke. He loved his sister dearly, but she disappointed him so much and so often. He hoped that she would prove herself while she was here. Proved that she wanted her home back and helped take Marcel down with him. "Yes," Klaus replied coolly as he stepped back from Elijah. "Find out what she wants from us. Kill her if you have to." Klaus waved him off before he turned on his heel and walked calmly towards the compound. He was looking forward to seeing Marcel again; he was going to enjoy every moment of making him squirm.

Charlie walked towards the church, her mind reeling. She didn't know what to do. Well she knew what she had to do, but it wasn't what she wanted to do. She wanted more than anything to see Klaus, but Marcel had told her no, so she would obey that. It had been ninety two years and still just the mention of Klaus sent Charlie into a spiral of weakness. He had always been her weakness. He always would be. She hated to admit it but it was true. She rounded the corner towards the church and ran straight into someone, but didn't falter. She looked up at the person to apologize, but couldn't find words. The only thing she could think to say was the name that had been on her mind since the moment she had woken up, "Klaus." Charlie was at a loss. Seeing him here was different than hearing he was here. It was so much different.

    ---

Elijah pulled up at the bar and got out of the car, looking in the window to see someone had Sophie with a knife to her throat. He sped in at his vampire speed and ripped the person from Sophie before looking over at the person. She looked vaguely familiar. He didn't know how seeing as he hadn't been in New Orleans in a long time, so it couldn't be possible for him to know anyone there, "Who are you and what business do you have here?" He asked with a slight glare. He had a plan that was going to get Sophie to talk. He was going to help her with the vampire who had just been holding a blade to her throat and then he would get her to talk about what the witches had in store for his family.

Sophie was about to speak when she was ripped away from her. She landed hard on the ground with a grunt and she could feel the anger surging through her veins. Sophie was about to tell her and this idiot ruined it. Before they could even blink, she was back on her feet with her fangs bared and her eyes black. She growled the moment her eyes found Elijah. Her anger multiplied when he asked who she was. He didn't remember her. After all these centuries he really had forgotten all about her. She wanted to be sad over that fact, but she could only feel the anger. As her eyes returned to normal and her fangs hidden once again she allowed herself to take a step forward. She knew she wouldn't be able to take down Elijah alone as much as she desperately wanted to. She wanted to punch him, but he would just simply rip her heart out of her chest. "You shouldn't piss of a girl who has trouble keeping her temper at bay," she told him as she slammed her dagger into the bar top. "As for my business, considering you really don't need to know who I am, my business is rather simple considering you are most likely here for the same reason I am. You will get the answer a lot easier than I will, but I will get it. I will find out." Eleanor's face remind hard and cold as she spoke.
Klaus was in his own little world as he planned every little detail in his head. The only thing that snapped his out was that damned roar of that motorcycle he remembered from earlier. His eyes flickered towards it just as his body crashed into someone else's. He was about to snap at them as his eyes darted to them, but nothing came out of mouth as his eyes found her. There in front of him was the only other female, besides his sister, who made him weak. The one girl he longed to be reunited with after he fled from his father. "Charlotte," he murmured as his face softened for a split second. He wasn't not expecting to see her again. Even though he knew Marcel was alive, he never heard that she was. He had honestly thought that she had died or that she had gone so far away to a place where no one knew that she had been apart of their family and yet he she was standing in front of him, not far from the compound and looking as beautiful as he remembered. He wanted to kiss her and reignite the flame they had, but he was here for business not pleasure.

Charlie was about to smile before she remembered that Marcel didn't want her to talk to him until he had everything figured out. She took a breath and pushed down the happiness she felt seeing him and shook her head. Charlie opened her mouth to speak, but she couldn't. She sighed and shook her head once more, "I can't be seen talking to you." She said. She started to walk past Klaus, "Oh and Klaus," She started before she turned around and looked at him, "I go by Charlie now." She finished before she turned back around and started to walk back towards the church. She couldn't tell Klaus that she was Marcel's right hand girl. She figured he probably guessed it by now, but she couldn't tell him. She felt like she was betraying him by doing it.
Elijah listened as the stranger spoke. There was something familiar about her and it was bothering Elijah that he couldn't put his finger on it. He gave her a confused look at the tone she was taking with him. She seemed like she was already angry with him before he even spoke. He didn't understand it, "Who are you?" He asked her. He needed to know who this girl was and who she was to him. He looked over at Sophie and made sure she wasn't going anywhere. He would try and give her "trust" in order to win her over to get her to talk to him about what was going on with the witches. He knew it was a desperate approach and if it came down to it he would just try to compel her. Though he was sure that all the witches were probably on vervain. It was always worth a shot.

Eleanor let out a fake sounding laugh as she clasped her hands together and moved closer towards Elijah. Maybe if she got closer and he could see her better maybe he would remember. "Her names Ella," Sophie said quickly which made her stop in her tracks. She shot the witch a look that read who the hell said you could talk? which made the witch take a few step backwards. The one thing she was glad about was that no one in the French Quarter knew her full name, including Marcel and Charlie. They simply all knew her as Ella. Marcel and Charlie were the only ones who knew her full first name, Eleanor. "I might have to take your tongue first next time," she snapped at Sophie before she turned her attention back onto Elijah. "Anything else you so desperately need to know before I leave, Elijah?" she asked; holding back an eye roll. "I might as well leave considering I can't slit her throat while you're here," she added bitterly.
Klaus forced a smile on his face as she spoke and pushed past him. "Marcel forbid you to talk to me?" he questioned as his eyes followed her. He turned around as she spoke once more; ignoring his question he asked. He stayed silent; forcing the annoyance down and kept his cool. She was never a Charlie. To him, she was always Charlotte and that was what he was always going to call her. He frowned as she walked away from him, but something hit him. He had realized where she came from. She had been with Marcel and she was the type of weakness he was looking for. Within seconds he was back in front of her. He grabbed her by the wrist softly so she couldn't walk off again. "Charlotte, when were you the one to take orders from someone else?" he asked simply. She didn't have to answer the first question for him to know that Marcel didn't want her talking to him. He remember all those times he had asked her to do something and she would never do it.

Charlie didn't answer his first question as she started to walk away more. When he grabbed her wrist, she turned and looked at him. She snatched her wrist from him, "I'm not taking orders. He asked me." She replied, "Unlike you he doesn't demand things from me." She said, trying to sound like a bitch. She had a hard time doing it around Klaus. She couldn't tell him that she was Marcel's right hand. She just couldn't. Charlie noticed that he called her by her first name again. She was going to correct him once more, but she knew that he wouldn't listen. Charlie looked around the quarter to see people looking at her and Klaus. She frowned before she looked towards the alleyway behind them. She would love to have more time alone with Klaus. To not have people giving her looks. But she couldn't. She was loyal to Marcel, "Klaus I can't be seen talking to you." She said, trying to keep the sadness out of her voice.
Elijah looked over at Sophie when she spoke. Her name was Ella. Elijah didn't know any Ella's. He knew an Eleanor, but she was from a long time ago in his past. But now that he really looked at her, he saw a big resemblance. When she spoke to Sophie and then back to him, he took a breath, "Eleanor?" He asked as he stepped closer to her. It had been so long, "How?" He questioned before he looked her over, "Why are you---" He cut himself off. He was unable to form words to her. It had just been so long. Why was she here? What was her business with Sophie? Why did it seem like she hated him with a passion?

Klaus was hurt by what she had said, but he kept his face the same; not wanting to let her know that she had hurt him. He never demanded anything from her or, at least, he never thought he did. "I never demanded you to do things you did not wish to do, Charlotte," he said as calmly as he could as he moved towards her a little bit more. He paid to attention to those around him; he simply did not care. He cared about the girl in front of, he also cared about getting her back his side once again. "So you keep telling me love," he replied, "but that means nothing to me because I know you want to keep talking to me," he added in slowly as he took one more step closer with a little smirk playing on his lips.
Eleanor close her eyes and took in a deep breath as her name came out of his mouth. She wished she had just killed Sophie when she had the chance so she did not have to deal with this. As her eyes reopened she saw him take a step towards her which only made her step back. She didn't want him near her. She didn't need to be hurt again. "How?" she said with an unamused laugh. "Maybe you should ask your dear sister that question, Elijah," she snapped.

Charlie frowned at his words before she noticed he was getting closer to her. She took a breath before she grabbed his arms and used her vampire speed to take her and Klaus into an alleyway close by, "I know you never demanded anything from me, Klaus. But you know that I would have done anything for you. All you ever had to do was ask me. That's almost as bad as demanding." She said as she looked up at him, "And of course I want to talk to you. But I can't be seen talking to you, Klaus. There's a difference." She pointed out with a small frown.
Elijah gave Eleanor a weird look, "Rebekah? Rebekah turned you?" He questioned. He felt like he was missing so much. He noticed that she took a step back and when he took a step near her. He took another step closer to her. He knew that his focus right now needed to be on Sophie, but he was so fixed on the fact that Eleanor was there, in front of him. Elijah knew that things were obviously different now, she obviously hated him now. But she was still here, alive. He couldn't have been happier about that, but now he wasn't focused on it.

"Well, looks like your darling sister has been keeping secrets from you," Eleanor said as calmly as she possibly could. She bit down on her lip as she took a deep breath in. She moved towards Elijah and kept her head held high as she grew closer with every step. She had fallen head over heels for the man in front of her all that time ago and to this very day he still had a piece of her heart even though he had broken it. She knew she would never stop loving the man no matter how much she hated him, but that never meant she would give in to him or that she would forgive him for the one thing she thought he was good for. She stopped right in front of him and she leaned her head towards his with her eyes never leaving his. "Do you even remember what happened?" she asked him softly so Sophie couldn't hear.
Klaus smirked as he let her take him into an alleyway. "And wouldn't I have done anything for you, love?" he questioned as his eyes ran over her. He did, deep down, feel bad for what he was doing. He still love the girl in front of him, but she was also the weakness to Marcel's empire that he so desperately wanted to take. He wanted to take everything back from Marcel, including Charlotte. Klaus moved in closer to her again. He took his eyes off her for a split second to look each way down the alleyway. "There is no one here, but if you must worry and you seek privacy, I'll be staying at the Palace Royale," he told her before he finally stepped back from her. "Maybe you'll join me there for a drink tonight?" He wanted to know if she would still do anything that he asked of her. He hoped she would say yes and come to the Palace Royale tonight.

Charlie frowned again at Klaus's words but didn't answer them. When he started to move closer to her, she could have sworn she stopped breathing slightly. When he told her where he was staying, she was slightly confused, but then he spoke again. She looked at him, fully intending on saying no. Marcel would know. One of the other vampires in the quarter would find out. They would know. But this is Klaus. The man you would always do anything for. The man you have been in love with since the moment you set eyes on him. She thought to herself. She couldn't do it. Her loyalty was to Marcel. She sighed as she looked up at him, "Klaus..." She started before trailing off slightly. She took a step towards him as she looked back up at him, "If anyone sees me there do you know what they'll assume?" Charlie questioned. She took one more step towards him as she bit her lip lightly, "Make sure I'm not seen."
Elijah couldn't believe what he was hearing. Rebekah had turned Eleanor and nobody had told him. When she questioned him, he gave her a confused look, "To what are you referring?" He asked. Of course Elijah remembered the time that the two had spent together. He loved the girl after all. Of course he would remember everything that happened with her. But if there was something more to remember he probably couldn't. The only one that really knew about the door in his head was his mother, and he wanted to keep it that was. He wouldn't open the door if he didn't have to. He wasn't going to. He couldn't. Not now. Not ever.

Eleanor let out another fake laugh before she bit down on her lip and shook her head. She stepped back from him. She turned her back on him as she walked away. She reached over the counter to pull the dagger out that she had stabbed their earlier. "That, Elijah, is something you are going to have to work out for yourself," she replied stiffly. She used her speed to get herself quickly to the front door of Rousseau's. She paused as she opened the door to look back at him; ignoring the fact Sophie was there listening. "You must've known, but I am sure you never looked for me before you left." With that, she left without having to hear what he had to say. She didn't want to know and she really didn't want to see him again, but she knew she would. They wouldn't leave without a fight.
Klaus reached out a hand and let his finger trace along her jawline as he lifted it up so he could see her face better. He knew he was winning this battle from the moment she said his name. He didn't care what the other vampires assumed, but he would make sure none of them saw her with him. He needed an advantage and he wouldn't have it if they saw her with him. He needed to get every little piece of information from her and if they knew they wouldn't tell her a thing anymore. "I will make sure you are not seen," he told her. ""Now will you come tonight?" he asked her again.

Charlie bit down hard on her lip as she looked up at him before she nodded, "I'll be there. Nine thirty. I won't be late. I know how you are about punctuality." She said. She couldn't believe that she was doing this. Her loyalty was to Marcel, but it was so hard for her to say no to Klaus. She knew that if anyone ever found out then that would be it. No other vampire in the quarter would trust her. Marcel most of all. She couldn't even imagine betraying him like this, but here she was doing it. For Klaus, "I hope you know the risk I'm taking for you. If any of the vampires in the quarter find out that Marcel's right hand is fraternizing with the enemy, I would have a stake driven through my heart in a seconds time." She explained to him.
Elijah was about to reply to Eleanor, to tell her he looked for so long, but she was out the door before he got the chance. He knew he should have gone after her, but Sophie was still a problem he had to deal with. He turned and looked at the girl, "What were you about to tell her before I came in?" He questioned harshly, regaining his composure. He would deal with Eleanor another time. Right now he had something else he needed to focus on. Elijah knew that this wouldn't be the last that he saw of Eleanor, and he knew that she knew it too.
