Juliette laughed at Bucky's words, "Oh and I'm sure you tried to teach him. After all, from everything I've heard. You were the ladies man. Not Steve." She teased before she laughed lightly, "Grandma told me that you even tried to hit on her once. Although she was so caught up in Mr. Rogers over here, she didn't pay much attention to it." Jules said and looked between Steve and Bucky.

Steve laughed at Bucky's words. It was clear that Bucky was a lot more comfortable around Jules than he had been before. When Juliette spoke, Steve nodded with an amused smile on his face, "It's true. He did, and was rejected just like I had been for so long by the women that always swooned over Bucky." Steve teased his best friend with a grin. Steve could see that Bucky was finally breaking out of his shell a little bit, and Steve knew that he would have to thank Jules for that later on.

Steve laughed at Bucky's words. It was clear that Bucky was a lot more comfortable around Jules than he had been before. "Alright, alright. I don't think that today's pick on Bucky day. Let's settle down." Bucky said, chuckling slightly. He remembered that night quite clearly. While some of his memories from the forties were a bit more of a jumbled mess, that was one that he remembered in total clarity. He remembered still not being entirely used to seeing Steve the way he is now too. He still expected to see that scrawny kid from Brooklyn, but he wasn't that kid anymore. And, in a sense, Bucky had felt lost. It was clear that Steve didn't need his help like he once had. He could easily fight his own battles now. And then he'd tried flirting with Peggy, but she'd been so caught up in Steve that she hadn't even noticed his attempts. He'd honestly felt even more lost then because if he wasn't helping Steve, there was always women. And he was thousands of miles away from home too so he couldn't take care of his ma or his sisters. He'd felt useless. Completely and utterly useless.

(I'm just gonna put Steve and Jules into one paragraph)
Juliette laughed at Bucky's words and nodded, "Alright I guess I can let up." She said with a smile. When silence fell over the three rather quickly, Steve decided to speak up, "So what was going on before I walked in?" He asked curiously as he eyed Bucky and Juliette, an amused smirk trying to find its way onto his face. Juliette shook her head, "Since you were on your date, I asked Bucky if he wanted to work out with me. During our spar I kind of got a little too into it...and kinda punched him in the face." She explained with a guilty look on his face, feeling awful still for actually hitting him, "So because I felt really back, I wanted to patch up the cut I had given him." She explained further. Steve nodded and looked over at Bucky, "Well I'm glad to see I'm not the only one she's punched in the face during a spar now. Only I don't think she felt this guilty when she hit me." Steve said and looked over at Juliette and laughed.

"She insisted on patching me up even though I insisted that I was alright." Bucky said, punctuating his words with a quiet laugh. He was still sort of surprised by how much force she'd packed behind that punch. Of course, he wasn't trying to undermine her abilities, he just hadn't expected her to hit him as hard as she had. While the serum he'd been injected with by Hydra wasn't exactly what had been used on Steve, it was still a form of the super soldier serum, and that meant that he wasn't knocked back very easily. "Why would she feel guilty for hitting a punk like you?" A small smirk tugged at the corners of his lips.

Juliette smiled at Bucky’s words and then laughed when he teased Steve, “I felt a little guilty, but I remembered the time when my grandmother told me about the time she shot at you because she saw you kissing another woman.” Juliette said and laughed once more before shrugging, “So I didn’t feel as bad then.” She joked.

Steve playfully glared at Bucky’s words before Juliette spoke, and he laughed at her words, “That’s true. She was not very happy about that. At the time I didn’t understand why.” He said, “Because you were too stupid to see that my grandma was totally smitten with you.” Juliette responded with a smirk. Steve nodded at her words, “You already pointed out that I’m not good with women, thank you for pointing it out once more.” He joked.

Bucky laughed quietly at Juliette's words. Steve had told him about that instance, so he knew exactly what Juliette was referring to. However, as the conversation progressed, and Peggy was mentioned more, Bucky truly noticed just how much Juliette and Steve seemed to connect, and he was reminded of the fact that she was his best friend's girl. Not officially, but it was fairly obvious that she was to him. And why wouldn't they end up together? Steve was a great guy, Juliette was a great gal. He didn't have all of the baggage that Bucky had either, so there was that too. Juliette would never want to be with someone who had a past like him and he knew it. He cleared his throat, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. "I should go. I just remembered that Natasha needed me for something..." A shitty excuse maybe, but he knew no one would ask any questions. "See ya around, punk." He punched Steve's arm lightly and sent a small smile Juliette's way before exiting the room.

Juliette looked over when Bucky spoke and she gave him a small smile in return before he walked out of the room. Once Jules felt like he was a safe distance away from the room, she let out a long groan before she stood next to the punching bag, punching it and kicking it as hard as she could as she tried to get her anger out, "Way to go Juliette, you blew it." She mumbled to herself. She knew the moment that she had hit him that she had ruined everything. Steve raised an eyebrow at her sudden anger, "What's up?" He asked her as he neared where she was hitting the punching bag, "Nothing." She replied flatly, "You don't seem fine, Jules. Tell me what's wrong. You always tell me what's going on." Steve pushed. Juliette sighed and shook her head. When Steve grabbed the punching bag before she was able hit it again, "Juliette tell me what is it. You seemed fine when Bucky was....oh." He trailed off, coming to the realization, "I like him okay?! There are you happy?" She asked bitterly before she ran a hand over her face and shook her head, "But he obviously doesn't feel the same way so it doesn't matter." She added with a sigh. Steve gave her an amused smirk before he shook his head at her, not saying anything more.

Bucky was glad that he'd gotten out of there when he did. He knew that he'd probably seemed a bit off right before he'd left, and Steve would probably question him about it later on, but he figured he'd be able to come up with an excuse or something by that point in time. He hoped that he would be able to anyway. He knew that he shouldn't like his best friend's girl, it just wasn't right, but he did, and he honestly had no idea what he was going to do about it. Well, he couldn't do anything about it really. He wasn't going to act on his feelings. He could never do that to Steve. All in all, this whole situation wasn't exactly the best one for him to be in. He just hoped that he could find a way out of it or something.

Juliette frowned at the amused smirk on Steve's face, "What are you smirking at, Rogers? This isn't funny." She said with a glare. He just continued to smirk at her. Juliette glared even more at him. She shook her head and dried herself off with her towel before she took a drink of her water, "I'm going to change." She said with a sigh. She watched as Steve nodded with a frown on his face, clearly seeing how upset she was by this, "I'll talk to him." Steve said lightly to Juliette as she walked by him. Juliette quickly went and got changed before she walked back out to go busy herself. Steve decided to go talk to Bucky because his excuse for leaving was clearly bull and Steve wanted to know why he got so awkward about it.

Bucky didn't want to have feelings for his best friend's girl. He knew that it wasn't an official thing, but it would likely become one. Juliette was Peggy's granddaughter for Christ's sake, she looked almost exactly like her, if she and Steve didn't end up dating he'd be very surprised. The thought of his friend going out on a date with that waitress hadn't even crossed his mind. He sort of just had it stuck in his head that Steve and Juliette would eventually end up going on a few dates and then decide to go steady or something. And he had feelings for her. He was fucked. He didn't know what he was going to do, but he needed to figure something out. With a sigh, he ran a hand over his face and walked into his room at the SHIELD facility.

Juliette shook her head as she changed. This was typical and she hated that she was feeling like this. It's just that Bucky was different, "I swear. What is it with this family and super soldiers?" She questioned herself as she finished getting dressed. She shoved her clothes into a bag to wash later before walking out of the room and back to her room at the SHIELD facility. Juliette sighed as she sat on her bed. She needed a breather. She was normally never like this, but there was just something about him that made her act differently.

Steve ran a hand through his hair as he walked towards Bucky's room. He knew that's where he would find his friend seeing as his excuse for leaving was total bull. Steve knocked on the door lightly, "Buck it's Steve." He said before he walked in, like he always did. He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at his friend, "I thought Nat needed you for something?" He questioned, "You gonna tell me why you came up with such a crappy excuse to leave?" He asked. Steve wouldn't push him if he didn't want to talk, but he felt like as Bucky's best friend that Steve should be there to ask.

Bucky really wasn't all that surprised when there was a knock on his door not long after he arrived back to his room. He was hoping to avoid Steve for a little while at least, but he knew that wasn't very likely. The SHIELD facility was big, but it wasn't that big. "She uh had a thing..." He mumbled, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. He knew that it was a bullshit excuse and that Steve would realize that it was, so he didn't know why he'd bothered attempting to make an excuse. He sighed in response to his friend's later words and shrugged his shoulders. "Can we not do this right now?" He asked, frowning slightly. "I don't wanna talk about it, Steve."

Steve frowned at his friends words and nodded, "I'm not going to push you, Buck, but you're going to have to talk about it eventually. It's killing me to know why you came up with such a crap excuse, but I'll let you have your time to not talk about it if that's what you really want." He stated. He sat down and crossed his arms over his chest, "I'm your best friend. I never got to see you like this with something that bad. Plus you were always really taking care of me, so I didn't get to experience this as much."

Bucky sighed. "It's really nothing, Steve." He said, running a hand over his face. He felt bad for not telling his friend the truth, but how was he supposed to tell him that he had a thing for Juliette? She was Steve's girl. It only made sense that she was, and he could never step in on that. Ever. He'd never do that to Steve. "You don't have to worry about me. I just have some things I need to sort out. I'm fine, i promise." He assured his friend, mustering a weak smile.

Steve nodded at Bucky's words and then smiled. He took a breath and then smiled, "So I picked my own date for once." He said happily. He kind of felt like a school girl who would gossip to her best friend about a crush because that's exactly what he was doing at that moment, but he didn't care. He was excited. He reminded himself to call Mackenzie sometime after his conversation with Bucky.

Bucky nodded. "That's great, Steve. I'm happy for you, punk." He said, mustering a small smile. "I'm sure Natasha won't be happy that she's out of a job as your person matchmaker though." He let out a slight laugh. He was glad that his friend was going out on dates, even if most of them didn't seem to end well. His logic for that was that Steve was supposed to be with Juliet or something. It made perfect sense seeing as she was Peggy's granddaughter and looked nearly identical to her and all.

Steve laughed at Bucky's words before nodding, "Yeah I'm sure she won't be thrilled, but at least I can do it on my own now." He said with a small shrug before he smiled. He hadn't forgotten about Bucky earlier awkwardness when he left the training room, but Steve definitely wasn't going to bring it up anymore.

Bucky nodded. "Yeah, she'll get over it eventually." He said, mustering a small smile. "I shouldn't keep you from calling that girl though. Try not to screw things up before you even take her out on a date, ya punk." His tone was joking, though it was still somewhat half-hearted. He knew that his friend would be able to tell, but he knew that he wouldn't question him about it or anything like that. Not right now at least. And for that he was extremely relieved.

Steve smiled at Bucky's words before he stood up and nodded, "I'll go call her now, so I don't screw things up." He laughed. He figured that Mackenzie should be off of work by now. So, now was as good of time as any to call her up. He was actually kind of nervous to be setting up a date with her. It was weird for him to be doing this himself, usually it was Jules or Nat, but he knew it was time for this to do it on his own. He was 95 years old after all, he could probably set up his own dates by now, "I'll let you know how it goes." He said to his best friend before Steve put a hand on his shoulder and then walked out of the room.
