Valerie got to her car, a red convertible. She unlocked it and walked around, climbing in and starting the engine. She looked at Kae, smiling. "Don't judge me. My dad bought me this car for my 16th," she said. "I know it makes me seem like a douche, but she's my baby, you know? I've had her for four years, and I've taken good care of her." She popped the roof, waiting for it to finish going back while she buckled.

Kae's face lit up a little when she realized that the adorable red car was Valerie's, and she climbed in happily. "No, this is adorable! I wish I had a car as nice as this." She buckled up, glancing at the other girl and tucking her backpack between her feet. It was a perfect day, sunny, but not too hot or cold, and as Valerie sped off, the feeling of the wind in her hair felt delightful. She'd never actually ridden in a convertible before.

Valerie glanced over at Kae, smiling when she saw how happy she looked. She drove to the mall and parked the car, climbing out. "So, what kind of clothes do you like?" she asked, locking her car after putting the roof back and rolling the windows up. "I mean, if you could wear any type of clothes you wanted, what would they be?" She wasn't gonna sit and brag about how much money she had, but whatever Kae wanted, she would buy her.

"Um...I like flowy clothing, comfortable clothing. Like, I love a base of leggings and boots and then just throw on cute stuff over that." Kae blushed a little. "I'm not that great at fashion. I don't like looking like I've got money coming out my ears...Like, thrift store chic." Kae got most of her stuff at the thrift stores around campus- it was way cheaper, and she felt like the clothes she got were plenty cute. She had some money from her job, but not a lot.

Valerie nodded her head. "I can work with that," she said. "We won't get anything super expensive, but we'll make sure it's super cute." She led her into one of the little shops, beginning to look around. She grabbed a long shirt-dress type thing. It wasn't short enough to be a shirt and it wasn't long enough to be a dress. It would definitely go well with a pair of tights or leggings. And it was girly enough to pass for her sisters. If she would wear it herself, then her sisters would definitely like it.

Kae watched Valerie go through a rack, pulling off a cute, flower printed tunic. It was a bit bright for Kae, she probably would have passed it up, but it looked very nice. She'd try it at least. "Sounds good...what sorts of clothes do you like?" She asked, making conversations.

Valerie smiled at her. "Believe it or not, I prefer a pair of jeans to a skirt. But I also love skirts because every now and then, you get a nice breeze and it feels good," she said. She blushed slightly, knowing she was probably being awkward. But she just wanted to show Kae that she was normal, just like her.

"I like skirts too, but only if I have like, shorts under them so I don't flash everyone..." Kae said, pulling a few more things off of a rack. She followed closely behind Valerie, and then jumped a little as she turned suddenly, Valerie's face quite close to hers. Kae backed up a little, feeling her face heat and tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. She felt so awkward.
