Guts and Glory

Lucas took the hits quite easily, his body being banged up was something he was used to. He had gotten to the point that pain was almost pleasurable for him. He heard a rib crack when he hit the ground the second time, but got up. Snarling in response to her words. He stalked up to her, his eyes piercing her as he watched. He then waited and lunged forward, grabbing her ankle in his mouth and throwing her into the rail on the other side. As she was down he charged again, his head butting hard into the back of hers. He didn't really want to use his claws or fangs. But he may if needed, after head butting her he grabbed her in his mouth, by the wing, and shook his head like a mad dog with a chew toy before sending her flying again.

Aleaha stood outside the simulation and watched, she had set it on an easier level, but watching how easily he did it. She was sure he was just as good in real situations. "Very good. And sure. Let's go back to the main ball room and meet with our parents. Discuss details of the plans for us." She
Said as she lead him back to the main room, then off to the side where both parents were.

Alice was slightly glad that she didn't have nerve endings on her wings or else that would have been painful. He had gotten a lot more aggressive. So that meant she needed to kick it up a couple of notches. Alice launched herself forward like an arrow and tackled him. Launching a series of hard hitting punches and kicks into his chest as she moved quicker than he could keep up. She kicked him up again and then repeated her last move as she punched him back down into the ground. She flew up in the air to try and get a view from above to see if that had done anything to him.

Eric walked with her back into the main room. The parents had finished ironing out the details. The wedding would take place tomorrow at one o'clock. All of Eric's relatives would be arriving by then and they were all worried and excited to see their little boy become a man by marrying and forging alliances at the young age of twenty. He sighed as they were dismissed as he tried to remember where his guest quarters were.

Lucas was still shocked by the speed of the vampires. It shocked him. By the second series of hits he had prepared his body for them, tensing up completely so it wouldn't hurt as much. He laid there for a second, knowing she was away, observing, and he could appear weakened. When she came down for another attack he sprung. He leapt at her throat? But when he caught her there, Lucas just slammed her into the ground instead of biting. He took a few hard hits on her with his paws again before tossing her aside again.

Aleaha took a few breathes as they listened to the plans. She got curious about what a vampire human hybrid would be like. She looked up at Eric as they were dismissed. "Want to go plan our room together before we go to bed? I'll show you your room for tonight." She asked softly, her words sincere for the first time, not having the underlying seductivness, or arrogance. One thing about her was she hated being alone, so she didn't want him to go yet

Alice tried to swoop in for the kill but instead he managed to get his jaws around her throat and then threw her away again. She tried darting forward again but he managed to swipe her legs out from underneath her and she rolled right in front of him. She was wide open and vulnerable. Open for him to finish it. By the time she reacted it would be over. Alice crossed her arms together to hopefully lighten the blow.

Eric was a bit taken aback. The whole night she had been trying to make him crack but now she was being soft and sincere. What was going on? Eric stood there for a moment before patting her on the shoulder. "Sure, let's go do some planning for our room." he told her with a smile on his face.

Lucas could tell her had won once she was on the ground and preparing herself for his final blow. He jumped on top of her, swiping his back at her neck, but this time barely knicked it, just enough for a scratch, but had this been real he would have ripped her throat open and taken her head off her body. He climbed off and did a walk around the ring to calm himself, he was panting heavily now, as he walked back up to her. His eyes wide wth delight now, acting almost like a puppy dog. Her barked and jumped up lightly on her, paws resting on her shoulders as he licked her face a couple times. He hopped down and moved. Picking up a pair of pants he had taken off then shifting back to his man self, and quickly pulling the pants on, but staying shirtless.

Aleaha smiled at his hand on her shoulder. She moved quietly throughout the mansion before finally entering her bedroom, then shutting the door behind them. "Okay, so what do you like?" She asked looked around her room, she gave him a list of few things she refused to change, as they were important to her. But looked up at him for ideas that he liked. She moved to her bed, the curtains hanging down from it. "Do you like these? I don't really so we can get rid of them or change them."

Alice looked down, the ferocious beast now becoming a lap dog. Her future husband could be good for one thing at least. She walked over and grabbed a water bottle and a towel to wipe the sweat off with. "Nice match, maybe next time I'll actually try." she jabbed at him as he phased back into a human. After taking a sip of water she folded her bone wings back inside of her body. Now they just looked like two odd looking scars on her back. She cracked her neck as she turned around to see Lucas come walking up to her.

Eric was slightly warm so he took off his long sleeved button up shirt to reveal the wife beater he had on underneath it. Forgetting that would show off his scarred up arms and give a slight glimpse into the rest of the markings that covered his upper body. "I just would like a little more color in the room. All the dark shades make it feel sort of dreary. Some lighter colors would make it feel a little more homey if you understand what I mean." he told her as he walked over to the curtains and opened them. Looking outside into the courtyard.

As Lucas phased into his human form, he looked down on his body to see just what damage had been done, the one thing he disliked about himself was he bruised up quiet easily, he looked down and chuckled softly at the array of color down on his chest and back. Lucas walked back towards Alice, raising an eyebrow. "Just mad you lost to a mutt huh?" He teased back, running a hand through his hair, which was now drenched with sweat. Lucas stood before her, looking down at Alice and smiling a bit, he was breathing a little heavier, but that had put him in a better mood. "I should probably put the rest of my clothes back on."

Aleaha moves over towards Eric as he looked out at the courtyard, she reached up a small hand and traced a finger along one of his scars. "Got a few of these huh?" She commented quietly, looking back up at Eric. "And you can have whatever you like brought over, or we can order some new things to put in here." She said shrugging.

Alice raised an eyebrow at his comment. "I feel like I did lot more damage to you." she said with a cocky smile. "Not to mention that you only were slightly stronger than my first form. I just didn't feel like wrecking the castle tonight." she told him in a sing song voice voice as she trailed a finger across his back. Needless to say getting into a fight with a werewolf had loosened her up and bit and worked out some of the frustration she was having. Before she went off she looked at herself to see a bruise here and there. Nothing that would be visible tomorrow during the ceremony. Alice finished her water bottle and turned to wave. "Well, I guess I'll see you in the morning." she said to him as she walked off to her room.

Eric shivered as her finger ran over one of his scars. "You have no idea." he told her as he looked around the rest of the room. "I'm open for anything for as long as we both agree on it." he told her knowing there would be ten shit tons of compromises in this marriage. Whatever he could do to keep his people safe. "We should probably turn in soon. We have a big day tomorrow." he told her.

Lucas couldn't help but laugh and shake his head. "I bruise extremely easily. I'm fine." He teased back. Lucas found the clothes that he had taken off, putting them back on. Following Alice back out to the other rooms. "Guess I'll just have to collect that kiss tomorrow." He said and winked. Lucas went off and found his parents, going off to the guest room. He slept uneasily, he wasn't in his pack territory. Lucas woke the next morning news, his hair disheveled. His mother mad a fuss and brought him to the bathroom, cleaning her son up and making him get in the tux. As it got closer they were in the main hall.

Aleaha nodded. "We can pick thins out tomorrow." She said and moves towards her dresser. "Seeya tomorrow Eric." She said and as he left got into a nightgown. She sighed softly and got into bed ready to sleep. She drifted off. The next morning was all hustle and bustle getting the couple ready for the wedding.

Alice was woken early to be poked and prodded. She groaned the entire time as she began to realize this was going to actually be a thing and that she was going to have to go through with it. After a while she was stuffed into a white wedding dress and then had her hair done up in a tasteful bun. After another bout and a half she was kicked to the main hall to begin the ceremony. Sweating bullets as her father started to walk her down the aisle towards her husband to be. Her knees about ready to give out as they finally got to the alter.

Eric was forced into his formal military dress the next morning. With his giant sword strapped to his back as it was custom for military veterans in his country who were to be wed. Sooner or later he was taken to the chapel where he saw his fellow comrades in arms and family sitting on his side of the chapel. Looking displeased it had come to this over just winning a war, but they knew it was the right choice. The wedding march began to play and Eric straightened. Knowing what was about to happen.

Lucas was dressed in a simple black and white tux, his mother didn't want anything too fancy. She liked thjngs being simple and traditional. As Lucas stood at the alter, hands neatly held in front of him, the nerves hit him. He realized just how much an impact this was going to have on him and his life. As the music began playing and Alice was walked down the aisle he glanced over. When she stood besides him and they faced each other he gave a small smile. The priest gave his spiel before finally asking them if they do. Lucas took a breath and said, "I do." He paused as she said it as well. When the priest said to kiss the bride Lucas swallowed hard. Before moving in, he placed one hand on her hips, leaning down and pressing his lips against hers. He was a good kisser, even in his moment of nerves.

Aleaha was wearing a traditional black vampire wedding dress for their wedding. She looked up at her father when they entered the chapel. She thoight Eric looked very cute. As the music played and she walked down the aisle her breaths were slower and she had to focus more and more on staying calm. Finally she stopped besides Eric, looking between him and the priest.

Alice returned the smile when Lucas gave it to her. She might as well give this her best shot all things considering. After a while and after a few spiels from the priest Alice said "I do." Then the couple kissed. IT wasn't a bad kiss. She had had better but it was still very good. After that everyone clapped and the two went to the wedding reception as husband and wife. Alice had a goblet of blood wine thrown into her hands as she entered the main hall. "Let's party!" someone screamed as the dance floor exploded in a rush of people getting on.

The priest began to say the normal long spiel that he knew happened at every wedding. He shifted from foot to foot slightly impatient. He knew they had a lot to do and he knew they would be hitting the ground running right after the honeymoon. Finally they came to the vows. Eric cleared his throat and said, "I do." When it was appropriate. After she said it he leaned forward and they shared their first kiss. However it was interrupted by someone yelling "traitor!" Eric looked up to see two vampires and a human charging towards them. He drew his sword and in one sweep cleaved one of the vampires in half. "Get to the carriage, the guards will protect you and I'll be there soon!" Eric screamed as he began to fight the other vampire off.

Lucas followed aside Alice into the main hall. He glanced around at all the people, feeling a bit uneasy. He glanced won at his now wife. "So, would you like to dance?" He asked giving a small smile to Alice. Lucas took her hand and walked out to the dance floor. The music was not that of a typical wedding. He wasn't sure where to go, hoping his parents would come and talk to him about where to go from here.

Aleaha kissed Eric back softly, jumping as she heard the words ring out through the chapel. When Eric told her to go she glared up at him. "I don't need protecting" she hissed. Nearly ripping off the dress she had simple tee and shorts beneath it. Aleaha put herself between the vampire and Eric, not wanting more death on her wedding day. Her speed was the only thing saving that vampire from a beheading. She slammed him against the wall with all her might, snarling in his face. "How dare you?" She said, almost as if lecturing the vampire and scolding him. "This is done to save our race and you try to reignite the war? How dare you? Would you like your children out on the front lines." She hissed and tightened her grip on his throat. She slammed him again before allowing his body to crumple to the ground. "You are a disgrace to the race." She looked over at her vampire guards and nodded." Aleaha then walked back to Eric, looking up at him. "We don't need to kill to get a point across, dear." She said with a sweet smile.

Alice was getting nervous from all the people. When Lucas asked to her dance Alice accepted quickly. The two of them went out onto the dance floor and started to, as her grandparents put it once, cut a rug. After a little while Alice loosened up and started to dance a little less stiff. She felt a tap on her shoulder and saw her grandfather standing there. "I'm stealing the blushing bride Lucas." he said with a smile as he twirled Alice around like he used to do when she was five years old. "Sorry hubby, but my Baba is calling." she told Lucas as the two started to dance. SHe loved her grandparents, they always knew how to make her feel safe and loved.

Eric was about ready to behead the vampire as easily as he had cut the other vampire in half with ease before Aleaha stood between them. He managed to halt his blade right before it hit and wounded her. Eric watched as she chewed out the vampire before he and the remaining human were taken off to be interrogated. "I guess it's time for the reception isn't it? Unless this means going straight to the honeymoon?" he asked as he cleaned his blade on the dead vampire's cloak before sheathing it.

Lucas moved into the dancing easily, beginning to enjoy it once her grandfather had come up to steal her. He gave a small smile, nod, and now to her grandfather. "Of course, sir." He said and moved off the dance floor to find his parents. Lucas found his parents and they went to the side and sat down there. He discussed their plans and what to do in the future and how they had to finally seal the deal. He dreaded the thought. Lucas then sat by himself as his parents went off he sat alone.

Aleaha chuckled softly, looking up at Eric. "Yea the reception will be canceled. So off to our honeymoon hotel." She said, leading Eric out to the carriage waiting for them. Aleaha climbed into the carriage, sitting across from Eric. The carriage made its way to the heart of the town.

Alice continued to dance with her grandfather until he grew tired and had to rest. Even if he only looked like he was in his fifties the old man was growing tired quicker each and every day. Alice worried about him and her grandmother but they refused to let her think they were any less fit than they were when she was a little girl. The party continued and Alice started to feel overwhelmed. So she went outside to look at the stars for a moment before looking down at the carriage that would take them to the airship to go wherever their parents planned for their week long honeymoon. Then back to business as soon as they got back. She stepped down the balcony and went out into the garden where she helped her grandmother plant a majority of the plants that were in there. She smiled at the memories.

Eric sat as straight as a board as he looked outside the carriage windows. He didn't know the full set of plans for this honeymoon but he knew sooner or later they would have to consummate the marriage. Shit he was going to be a father soon. He was scared of that as he was still young with no idea just how to raise kids. He looked back at Aleaha. "So what is the plan? I feel like you know more than I do." he told her.

Lucas watched te crowd of people, he was silent, his eyes turning a slight yellow color. He really wanted to be in his wolf form. Lucas headed outside, he saw a garden, stripping himself he turned in his wolf form. His senses were even better in this form as well. He smelt the same perfume he did as the day before, wandering towards it. As he approached Alice Lucas made a small sound, like a light bark. He padded up to her, nuzzling his muzzle into her hand and licking it. Lucas looked up at her, jumping in his back legs and placing his large front paws on her shoulders, licking her face before jumping down.

Aleaha watched the outside world as they went off into town. She knew this place well. She also knew that her, and his, parents would be in their bed room, having made the wedding bed, and awaiting to 'make sure' it was done. Aleaha jumped slightly when he spoke. "I know as much as you do. Just really basics of it. Our parents will be there waiting for us, they will watch us into the room and bed. Then leave for us to consummate the marriage." She said and bit her lip. She was only 19, so this actually scared her. She had had a few boyfriends but never done anything like this. She also didn't know what it would be like to be pregnant. But most of all Aleaha was scared her and Eric wouldn't get along, and that would impact their child. As well as their child being paraded around as a symbol for the new world.

Alice felt him lick her face as she sat down on a bench and looked at him. She smiled before scratching him behind the ears and rubbing his back. "We might need to invest in a real dog or else people are going to confused my husband with the family pet." she told him with a smile as she watched how excited he was. "I know you like your wolf form but can you go back to people form? I feel like we should enjoy this night together as husband and wife. Unless you want to kill some time playing fetch." she told him as she picked up a rather large stick.

Eric raised an eyebrow. "Do our parents not know the meaning of personal space?" he asked as he crossed his arms and leaned back. They were going to be watching all the way until they started having sex. "Maybe we wanted to relax or something. Get in the mood. Light some candles and take a bubble bath. Something." he told her. Eric was starting to warm up to Aleasha. She had dropped the psycho vampire facade. If she kept this up then their marriage would be a good one.

Lucas perked his ears up as she listened, almost purring as she rubbed his ears. When Alice suggested he go back to human form he snuffed a bit, not wanting to be naked in front of her quite yet. But when she picked up the stick he jumped up and barked excitedly. She threw it and he ran off at great speed to return it to her a few moments later. He did this with her a few times. After growing tired of it Lucas went off to his clothes and put them on, coming back after shifting, stick in hand. "Sorry I got tired." He said with a small grin, wiping sweat from his forehead.

Aleaha couldn't help but giggle. "I know I know. They don't want us backing out on our ends of the deal I guess." She said shrugging her shoulders. They soon arrived at the hotel. Aleaha got out of the carriage, taking her husbands hand and walking inside. Just as she said, both parents were in the room waitig for them. She gave Eric's hand a squeeze and looked up at him.

Alice smirked as she tossed the stick back and forth. Probably the only married couple who ever played fetch like this. She smiled at the oddity of it until he came back through as a human. She smiled at him as she patted the empty seat on the bench next to her. When he came over to sit next to her she leaned her head on his shoulder. Supposing she could get used to this level of intimacy with him. They seemed compatible thus far. "So, we're married. How about that?" she asked.

Eric scowled at his parents. "Alright out." he said as he walked over to them and started to escort them out of the room. His and her parents started to protest before he shoved them out of the room. "I'm the one putting my dick in her to your satisfaction. I'd prefer to do it in some peace and quiet." he told them as he closed and locked the door. "So, I figured we'd get used to the whole idea of seeing each other naked. Care to join me for one of those cheesy romantic bubble baths?" he asked as he blushed a little bit.
