The Red Moon

She gave a small nod and bowed to him, "Yes sir, thank you," she said to him gently - obviously in shock that he would do something for her. She didn't know him and how he was, but from how Mi Chang acted; this wasn't normal for him at all.

He nodded,"Oh yes, he is fine - he'll outlive all of us at this rate," he joked, "he has a new wife," he said to her smiling a little. "More sons for the throne,"

He nodded and looked around. "This room is too far of a walk for me, you'll be moved closer," He said as he looked at her. "After we return," He said. "And that princess from before, why was she here?"

"You must be happy," She smiled a little. "Another sibling," She said. "You're going to see your father then?"

She listened to what he said, "She was looking to offer herself for marriage, sir," she said as she looked at him for a moment but his stare was a bit intense so she looked away. "She was very kind, " she noted with a small smile as she stood there. Moved closer? She didn't know what to make of this, at first he seemed very rude, but then he kept doing things for her, his overall curiosity about her was somewhat strange.

He laughed a little," I have a lot of brothers," he said to her smiling a little as he nodded, "My father has had many wives, still does," he said to her lightly.

"Will I stay here while you go?" She asked curiously. "I won't mind, Ive gotten used to being here," She smiled a little.

He rolled his eyes. "See to it she doesn't return, I have no interest in her," He said, looking around.

She seemed a bit shocked at his reply but nodded, "If that is what you want, I will have a messenger sent out in the morning, sir," she said to him as she chewed on the inside of her cheek then looked around the room. "Do you need anything else, sir?" she asked him gently.

"No you will accompany me," he said to her excitedly, "It will be fun, also your new clothes have arrived this morning I will have them brought up,"

"Really? Is it okay to?" She asked curiously. "I'm not sure how well they'll take to me, unless I can stay in your room there like I do here," She murmured.

"Have you eaten?" He asked her. "Make sure you eat, and take care of yourself." He said before standing up.

Had her stomach given her away, it had been growling pretty loudly but the amount of money she had was slim right now. She'd gotten paid in advance at the other residence so she could avoid small things, but the rice she'd bought hadn't really filled her up. "Of course, I've eaten some rice I bought but I'll make sure to eat in the morning when I wake, sir," she said bowing to him once he stood not wanting to seem disrespectful.

"There you will have your own room beside mine," he said to her smiling a little, "you'll be safe, you'll be wearing our colors," he told her seriously, "I just want to warn you people might think you're with me.. intimately because of this; if you'd rather not wear the family colors that is fine,"

"Wouldn't I be safer wearing your colors?" She asked him. "If that's the worst, I don't mind." She shrugged as she smiled. "There are worst things to be seen as. But wouldn't you mind? For others to think of us like that?"

He heard her stomach and looked at her. "You need to eat, I will request something from the kitchens brought to you."

Lily was once against shocked by his kindness towards her, "thank you, sir," she said to him gently then rubbed the back of her neck, "I will do my job diligently to repay you for the kindness,"

He shrugged,"You'd get a lot of stares though, I'm sure it'd happen anyway due to the differences," he said to her lightly, "

She turned to look at him. "But Will you mind that people might assume we're together intimately?"

He nodded a little and then turned to her. "Come to my dining room after you've dressed," He said as he looked at her before hesitating. "I will wait for you there."

"Yes, sir," she said to him as she watched him then bowed again before moving to her clothes to check if they were dry - they were a little damp in some spots but it was only towards the hem lines which was perfectly manageable since it was warm out. Once he had exited the room she went behind her changing screen to put her clothes on, she pinned her hair up with a couple of clips then slid on her shoes making her way towards his dining room.

He shook his head, "It bothers me none what people think," he said to her with a small shrug then laughed awkwardly, "don't mistake me for a pervert,"

"I know you aren't a pervert," She laughed. "You've been a perfect gentlemen the entire time Ive been here," She said as she sat down. "I don't care what people think, what does it matter? It might as well be true as far as they know."

He had ordered food on the way back and sat down, looking at the table. He had never done this before, it was unlike him. But for some reason he didn't want to stop.

She walked into the room and bowed when she saw him, she was surprised by his behavior but she was so hungry. "Thank you, again, sir," she said softly.

He nodded a little, "I try my best to be kind to others, you looked confused when I found you - where did you come from? If I may ask,"

"I mean, I came from Korea," She murmured. "I was born in another country but came to Korea to learn. But the Korea I know is much different than this one," She said softly. "So I was very confused."

He gestured toward the table for her to sit. He waited for her to start eating before looking at her. "Where are your parents with the same hair as you?"

She moved over to the table and took a seat then looked at him, "I don't know," she admitted softly as she began to place food on the small plate she had - but not too much. "I don't remember much before finding myself in front of your horse barreling at me sir," she said with a small smile.

He nodded a little as he looked at her, "I don't mean to sound rude but, we've never seen anyone like you here before," he told her, "People would have tried to take advantage of that, or harmed you for your differences; I felt it was best that I protect you," he smiled a little, "you would love my brother he is hyper active, has too much energy for someone who is meant to be older than me,"

"I would be lying if I said I wasn't grateful to you. I know I stand out and at a time like this it isn't a good thing," She sighed. "But I'm sure he would be fun to meet, I'll look forward to meeting your brothers then."

He cracked a small smile. "You should be careful not to stand in the way of things you'll end up injured," He said. "Eat, this is for you."

She nodded and took a bite of the food then sighed a little - the first taste of substantial food in so long; her stomach growled in appreciation.

"We're leaving in the morning, so you should bathe tonight, it's a half a day on horse," he said to her warningly, "It'll be exhausting,"

She nodded a little. "I finished the painting I had been working on," She said, pointing it out. "It's yours, if you want it."

He sighed a little. "How long do you intend to stay here?"

"Oh, well.. I don't know I suppose until I'm no longer needed, sir," she said as she looked at him then chewed her food before taking a bite of the rice, "I have to make enough to support myself, so I doubt I will leave any time soon - unless I'm dismissed, sir,"

He looked at it and smiled, "It's beautiful, which medium are you most comfortable with?" he asked her as he looked at the art.

"Oil," She said, smiling a bit. "But I like watercolor as well," She said. "I'm glad you like it."

He nodded. "You have nowhere else to go?"
