Shaun smiled helping her tidy up. He looked at her, "now you have some more privacy hopefully," he said lightly. He took her hand, "Do you want to go shopping today?" he asked.

Ingrid nodded a little. "I need to go to the grocery store. Are you sure you'll be alright going out?" She asked, worried something might trigger a panic attack.

Shaun found a place to sit, he looked up at her thinking. "I'm not sure, I don't want to be a burden, so I can stay here, until I'm better enough to go out in public," he suggested. He smiled weakly, reaching an arm out to grab her hand.

Ingrid frowned a little, shaking her head as she moved to sit next to him, taking his hand and squeezing it reassuringly. "No, no, Shaun. You're not a burden. That wasn't what I was implying." She frowned, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek. "I just worry that you won't feel safe, and that you might get overwhelmed. If you'd like to go I'm more than happy to bring you with me, but I don't want you to feel like you're in danger or that you're a burden." She explained, smiling kindly at him as she stroked his cheek gently.

Shaun nodded softly, "Oh okay, I understand," he said lightly. He held her hand, "I'll try to stay calm, I'm sure if you're with me I'll be okay," he said.

Ingrid smiled, nodding as she pressed a loving kiss to his lips. "Promise you'll let me know if you're not feeling well, we'll come back right away." She assured him, grabbing her purse before taking his hand to head out of the house.

Shaun nodded, "I promise," he said lightly. He let her guide him out of the house. "What shopping do you need to do?" he asked her curious. He looked around the place, trying to stay calm.

"I just need to get groceries, but if there's anywhere else you want to go, just let me know." Ingrid smiled, holding his hand as they walked through her little neighborhood and into town to the grocery store.

Shaun nodded lightly, "grocery shopping, I don't think I've ever done it," he told her lightly. He smiled walking with her, trying to seem like any normal person on the street, despite knowing he wasn't normal, not anymore.

Ingrid smiled as they walked, squeezing his hand gently, happy to be spending time with him. She was glad he was out and about doing normal things, hoping it might help him adjust.

Once at the grocery store she let go of his hand to grab a cart, turning to smile at him. "Alright, if you see anything you want, just let me know."

Shaun nodded softly, letting her hand go. He had forgotten that he had scars down his arms, and was wearing a tee shirt. He could feel eyes on him, "Ingrid way are people staring?" he asked quietly.

Ingrid frowned a little when he asked about the staring, pressing a reassuring kiss to his cheek. "You have some scars on your arms, and they're looking at them. But dont worry, there's nothing wrong with you, they don't know what you've been through."

Shaun looked at his arm, remembering, "oh right," he said softly following her around the store. "What do you think they think happened?" he asked her curious.

"I don't know.. But I know it's none of their business, so you shouldn't worry about it." Ingrid smiled, grabbing various things from the shelves as they went. "What do you want for dinner?"

Shaun smiled "Yeah I guess so," he commented. He looked around the shelves thinking for a bit. "How do you feel about steak?" he asked her.

Ingrid smiled as she looked at him. "I like steak. What would you want with it?" She asked, heading for the meat counter so he could pick out what he wanted.

Shaun shrugged slightly, "how about mashed potato's?" he suggested. He smiled softly following her around, "this is interesting, picking out what you want to eat," he said lightly

Ingrid smiled at him, nodding as she picked the steak and went to get the potatoes. "You've never picked your own meal? Well, once you're out of the hospital, I'll let you pick every meal you'd like." She grinned a little, putting the potatoes into the cart as well. "Do you want anything else? Like another vegetable perhaps?"

Shaun nodded, "I'm a soldier, I eat what and when I'm told," he said lightly. He smiled and headed around the vegetables, "how about carrots?" he asked softly.

"You dont have to do that anymore, Shaun. You can eat when you want and what you want from now on, ok?" Ingrid smiled, nodding a little as he suggested carrots. "Can you grab those? I'm just going to grab some broccoli too. Is there anything you want for snacks?"
