Hell Above

Anya sobbed a little letting it all out before straightening up and wiping the pain and weakness from herself and washed herself off careful taking special care to her wounds and around her ribs. She got out and dried herself off slowly before putting the clothes on. It was a too big t-shirt that hung off of her small frame as well as a pair of sweat pants. She went out of the steamy bathroom looking around as she continued to dry off her beautiful hair and closed her eyes gently before sitting down on the bed knowing she needed bed rest at the moment and did not need to be walking around. Her body was giving her all kinds of signals telling her to rest and she felt obliged to listen.

After making his decision, Killian went ahead and called a few friends. People who would be able to keep an eye out and ears open for him. If there was any way of finding out some information about the men who kidnapped Anya, they would learn it. After that, Killian went ahead and called in another favor. Someone who would be able to keep an watchful eye on her when he wouldn't be able to. A human. It was less likely for her to notice him. Though, even if she did, he was ready to face the consequences of that.

Hours later, Killian made his way to Anya's room and lightly knocked on the door.

Anya ended up sleeping for a couple of more hours before hearing a knock on the door, lifting her head up to murmur, "Yeah?" She rubbed at her eyes sitting up slowly so as to not hurt her body more and looked around more than disoriented by the sudden waking. She stretched a little to help her body to wake up. She saw Killian and her body tensed up immediately. After all he had done for her, her internal instincts still told her to move away. She hated that. She hated that he had no bad feelings towards her and her bodyy just told her he was evil and to stay away. "Do you need something?" She mumbled at him.

Killian looked over at Anya before walked further into the room. Slowly, he made his way over to one of the chairs before pulling up somewhat by her bed and sitting down in it. He gave her the space that was clear that she needed. While he didn't want to make Anya more comofrtable than she already was, he did need to talk to her. His hands moved into his laps, he crossed his leg and looked up at Anya calmly. While in her species, she was considered a grown adult, Killian very much still saw her as a child. However, he understood that he needed to treat her as an adult. But all he really wanted to do was tell Anya what she would do, not ask her to do something.

"Considering everything that has happened, I wanted to offer...or rather try to convince you to stay here with me for a while." Killian told her. "It is clear that you are being attacked because of a past that you know nearly nothing about. And I believe that I have the ability to protect you better than you do alone. Of course, I am not saying that your own skills are not impressive. But I have more experience and more resources than you do. My age alone should tell you the intellectual and physical capability I have in staying alive when being hunted. So let me protect you until this is over."

Anya's eyes never strayed far from his movements as he walked further into the room. She continued to get more and more suspicious as he didn't say a word and just sit down in front of her. She let her aqua eyes study his movements as if he were prey and she were a predator. Her body was tense as she prepared for the worst. She just hoped he understood that she wasn't a child at all and had been making adult decisions since she was 15 and had to grow up earlier than most, even in her work field and pushed her hair away from her face once more before grabbing all of it and putting it up into a bun at the top of her head, allowing her face to fully be shown from her heart shaped face and sharp jaw line as well as her gorgeous eyes and full lips.

Her eyebrow quirked upwards as she heard him speak and slowly relaxed once she heard his words and sighed and shook her head before biting her lip as she thought watching her hands as she did so, "I can compromise." she started before continuing, "I can stay here until I'm healed, but after that I can make no promises since I will be needing to continue-" She stopped her words falling from her lips as she frowned looking out the window and murmured, "I don't know." She murmured. "How am I supposed to abandon all I've ever known for someone in the past?" She whispered aloud, but mainly to herself.

He let out a small sigh at Anya's answer. It was not exactly what he wanted to hear. Though, at least, she was willing to stay for now. And hopefully that would give Killian time to convince her to stay for much longer. Even if that was not he case, he had already set up a network of people to start following Anya around. This decision might seem drastic, but Killian was not going to let her die or end up in trouble again. "I understand. Though, I will try and push you to stay with me until you are safer. I know you are strong but it is one of you against a group if you leave here." Killian said as he looked over her face softly. She had grown into a beautiful woman...

Anya was trying to understand things. Obviously, Killian wasn't all bad since he had helped her, but she couldn't help flinching when she felt him come near her. She was so used to being conditioned to hate them that her body physically got sick when around them. It had taken everything in her to just compromise with him and stay in the same vacinity as him. She ran a light hand throughout her fiery hair and looked up at the ceiling her strong jawling coming into view as she did so. "You don't understand." She murmured. "In the academy you get tattooed for how many vampire you've killed." She turned around undressing for a moment her back only in view to show X's covering over half of her back. "I can take care of myself." She told him.

Killian let out a sigh and shook his head after looking at her back. She was too confident in her ability. Yes, Anya was strong. But what human could handle one old vampire? Much then a whole society that have a strong hate for her and her dead family. Standing up, Killian made his way over to the door. At least for now he had convinced her to stay with him. Though who knew how long that was going to last. "I do believe that you are capable during normal times, however this is a battle that you probably can't win without help. Without some kind of protection. And whether or not you want it, I am here for you."

Anya had to be confident in her ability, if she wasn't people got killed because of her hesitance. She would not get someone killed because she wasn't confident in herself and her ability to kill vampires. She looked at her hands and said, "I have more tattoos than everyone else in the world except for I think 5 and that's because they are far older and far more experienced. I have killed 4 old vampires." She murmured softly sighing knowing that most people thought that older vampires were the worst, which they weren't the worst, just hardest to kill. She knew from experience. "It's not easy, but I have done it, so what ever reservations you have against me, you'll have to get over it." She said matter of factly. "I know I can't take them all on, but the academy will help me once I tell them. If I tell them." She sighed knowing she wouldn't know how to explain teh situation at all. "So you're telling me you would kill vampires just to protect me? An old "friend's" daughter? You don't even know me." She told him frowning.

"Humans have always been more fickle with their promises." Killian told her. "It is why humans often question each other and their loyalty. Vampires aren't the same. We will not promise something unless we plan on actually doing something. I told your parents that I would do my best to protect them and you from any vampires that came their way. I thought I had done everything right by your parents. I kept my ears open, set up safety measures, even checked on them or stayed certain nights when it looked rough..." Killian sighed. "Your academy may dump you in a blink of an eye but I will do better by you than they will. And I will do better than I had before."

Anya shook her head laughing. "If you truly believe that, then you're the naive one here." She whispered. "Whether you're human or vampire -- you all break promises." She said. "Humans hurt and steal and break - vampires are no different in that regard." Anya turned her bright eyes up to him and said, "Don't you dare make it seem like everyone will keep their promises. Words mean nothing without actions." She murmured before looking away a tinge of sadness in her tone as well as some bitterness. Her words were quite wise for her age. "I never said the academy did right by me." She shook her head laughing before turning around pulling her shirt up showing whip scars from her many many punishments. She put her shirt back down. "Everyone lies." She laid down looking at the wall.
