He smiled,"Smores?" he said as he looked at her, "I've never had that before,"

"Oh?! You've never had apple pie before? You're missing out!" she said nodding as she put the meat on the grill then began to sear the veggies they were given as well.

"The best food on the planet, I promise you." She nodded seriously. "You're going to love it."

He nodded a little. "Never had it, but I'm excited to try it. There arent many places around here to get it from."

"I'll make it for you then, it'll be one of the first things I make you," she said to him excitedly.

He nodded,"I sure hope so, I will bring some food to grill over the fire as well - do you think beef would be good to bring?" he asked.

"We could, but we would have to eat it on the first night. Keeping it cold would be difficult. But I'm going to bring my camping stove, so we will be able to cook while we're out there."She added.

He smiled a little. "I heard it's good to eat with ice cream too."

"Of course it is, the hot and cold combination is the best, its how I eat cobbler as well," she said to him smiling a little.

He nodded a little,"Good, good we can have beef wraps our first night - we'll need the protein from the hike,"

"Sounds great, this will be fun. I'm excited. And there shouldn't be anyone around so you won't have to worry about hiding." She said to him.

He nodded a little. "I'm excited to try it, I love food so I'm sure it will be great. One day I will cook for you too."

He nodded a little,"It's a date then," he said to her with a small unsure smile.

"I really can't wait, you've told me so much about your own cooking I'm curious," she said to him smiling a little.

She smiled but sighed. "But... are you sure this is a good idea? I'd love to go out on a date with you, I just know with your career...it would be hard for you and me."

He smiled a little. "What do you want me to make for you? The dumplings?"

He shrugged, "I'm allowed to date now, the company has refigured my contract almost six months ago - its a matter of finding someone to date in the first place," he said to her with a smile. "Most women are after the fame of Exo or to use me fore personal gain," he murmured, "But you're not like this,"

Beatrice nodded,"Yes, that sounds wonderful - I've had some before but I want to try yours,"

She sighed. "I'll be honest. I would rather you not in exo at all. I am excited to get to know you, but I am not excited for your fans."

He shook his head. "Mine are the best, easily. I'll make them for you, maybe this weekend?"

"The fans can be harsh but, its easy to ignore them. Just do not pay the comments any mind and do not feed into it - stay positive," he smiled a little, "But this will be our first date, so not worry,"

She smiled a little, "This weekend sounds great, I have free time,"

She nodded. "I know, it's just something that's important." She sighed and smiled. "What do you like to do when you're free?"

He nodded. "Maybe I'll get a place, so we don't have to go to the dorm."

She smiled, "If thats what you want," she said to him lightly as she began to serve the food onto his plate then added rice to their bowls.

"Anything I can to just escape," he admitted to her. "To not be Chen, but Jongdae,"

She nodded. "I wonder if you've heard this before, but I think you have a really nice name. It's different."

He shrugged. "Would that make you uncomfortable? I don't want to burden you with the others, they can be...interesting someitmes."

"Whatever you think is best, I could never be uncomfortable with you," she said to him laughing a bit.

He smiled, "Thank you, I like your name as well it's unique,"

She smiled a little. "Actually in America, my name isn't very unique at all. Pretty common. But thank you. So do you want to eat something? I'm getting kind of hungry."

He smiled a little. "Then that's what I'll do. I'll rent a hotel room with a kitchen, so we can eat there. Just let me know if you don't think thats a good idea. I'll understand."

"No it's sounds perfect actually," she said to him smiling a bit as she took a bite of her food.

He smiled a little and nodded,"Food sounds like a fantastic idea,"

She nodded. "Where do you want to go? We can order chicken delivery here?"

He smiled a little. "What else aside from dumplings do you want me to cook? What other chinese foods do you like?"

"Hotpot!" she said excitedly, "It's so good, when I went to Hong Kong last year for some work related thing I had it with a bunch of friends - best I've ever had, but I really like roasted duck and gong bao chicken,"

He nodded,"We can order if you'd like I'm not particular but I love chicken," he grinned a little.

"I'll order chicken. I'm fascinated with the delivery service here. It's amazing." She said, taking out her phone and calling. "Any preference?"

He nodded. "Not too sure how to make that, I'll call my mom and ask." He laughed.
