Treading The Unknown

"Come on, lets go eat somewhere," She said to him. "Are you done with classes? I kinda want to get off campus.'

He nodded. "I had class earlier and then got this. But I hadn't eaten all day yet so I'm happy you were making food when I came in,"

She nodded a little, "I think Jenny misses you a bit, swear she was looking for you the other day,' she said to him then took a bite of her sandwich.

He nodded a little,"Yep just finished my last class of the day," he said as he looked at her, "Come on we can go to the park,"

She nodded a little and sighed, following him out of the building. "So, you've been keeping a secret from me. Your parents, why do you sound so tense when you speak to them?"

He laughed. "Of course she does. Secretly, I'm her favorite." He said, snorting a little. "She only puts up with you because she can't speak up. But I know the truth."

He sighed,"They're rather strict," he said to her shrugging a bit then smiled a little, "I don't like hiding things from you but they're not nice people,"

She scoffed, "Yeah right," she said to him shaking her head, "She just thinks you're cute thats it," she said smiling a little.

"Why didn't you tell me? What makes them mean?" She asked curiously. "I heard you say they wanted to come here, what is it?"

He shrugged. "Well she's not wrong," He grinned. "But I am definitely her favorite, there's no denying that."

She smiled a little as she burped then looked over at the baby monitor when she heard noise, "Please don't wake up," she whispered with a pleading expression. "Shes been so colicky lately,"

He shrugged, "They just like to drop by sometimes make sure I'm not drugging it up," he said with air quotes.

"And since they've been calling more, the chances of them showing up are...?" She asked, as they walked.

He heard whines and raised an eyebrow. "No worries, I'm here. You don't have to worry about her for right now," He said to her, standing and heading into the bedroom. "Why don't you ask your friend if he can watch her again? He didn't seem to mind did he?"

"No he didn't mind but he's been busy with school work -and he has a girlfriend now; so hes been spending time with her but ill ask him eventually," she said as she continued to eat her food. It was nice to have him around but she didn't know if it would last.

He sighed, "Pretty high," he said to her, "I don't want you to be shocked by them, they're rude and don't like change or new people,"

He snorted a little. "Jaehyun? Really? I thought he didn't talk to anyone," He said, carrying Jenny out and bouncing her gently. "See, she just wanted to know who the new voice was."

She chewed on her lip. "Meeting your parents seems kind of scary," She admitted. "So maybe I should stay away from your place for a while?"

"Please don't, it'll be so boring with out you - besides they have to get used to me growing up; which they should have ages ago," he said to her.

She smiled a little as she looked at her, "So nosey, she definitely got that from my sister," she teased a little then put her plate in the sink. "Are you busy today? I figured we could hang out a bit I know you've been busy,"

"Yeah but, I don't want to be the subject of a fight," She said softly. "I want you and your parents to keep your relationship, no matter what state its in."

"I might have to go in to work later tonight, I'm on stand by. But until then, fine. I'm a bit tired though, no idea why." He murmured, laying down on the couch with Jenny on his chest.

She nodded a little as she smiled a bit then got up to take the laundry out of the dryer and began folding it. Lily cursed herself for caring what he did, but she couldn't help it

He sighed, "Well .. I told them about you already," he said softly, "I don't like lying to them,"

She sighed. "Well, okay. But even still, meeting parents seems a bit scary. So while I won't avoid you, give me a heads up becuase I'd rather be out of the house when they come around. Please."

He closed his eyes for a second and sighed. "Ask Jaehyun to take Jenny for a bit. You deserve a break," He murmured.

"I"m fine, just a little behind on laundry," she murmured as she folded all the onsies then set them aside and began on her own clothed, "Besides I have a planned nanny for when finals come along she'll be here even when I am so I can study,"

He sighed then nodded, "Fine, fine," he murmured softly as he looked at her, "but dont avoid me,"

"I won't avoid you, my cat is at your place how could I?" She smiled a little, poking his cheek. "Just give me a heads up. It's all I ask,"

He shrugged. "I mean for times you need breaks, he said he would be happy to watch her again, didn't he? And you look like you need a break."

She nodded a little, "Maybe sometime this week, I'll ask,," she said to him as she went to put the babys clothing away then walked back out to stick the basket in her room then to start another load of laundry - her bed sheets.

He nodded, "I will, I'll text you everything," he said to her then kissed her cheek

"Okay, good." She murmured, smiling a little. She noticed a girl looking over at them and raised her eyebrows, not recognixing her but wondering if Jaehyun did. "Do you know her?" She asekd curiously.

He watched as she moved around, noticing that Jenny had fallen asleep. He moved her into her mini crib and stood, following her into the room. "Come sit with me," He said, wrapping his arms around her from behind.

Lily hated her ability to never be able to say no to him, she set the sheet down and nodded, "I'll be there in a minute," she said lightly the smiled a little.

He looked up and furrowed his brow before sighing, "Crap," he murmured, "thats the crazy girl," he whispered.

"Was she that crazy? Oh right... but like.... nothing to be worried about right?" She asked, keeping her eyes on him instead of her.

He nodded and sat down, looking for the remote and setlling for something to watch.

She finished what she was doing then walked over sitting next to him resting her head on his shoulder, she was tired but she mostly missed the comfort of another person.

He sighed, "She was super creepy - had pictures of me in her journal,"
