George chuckled at the blush over her face, thinking she fancied him. "No, they are just the right mix. I love a quiet girl now and then." He smiles. "Some girls talk way too much, you are a nice change of pace." He could tell she wasn't exactly the most promiscuous girl that existed, but it turned him on and he knew he wanted more of it. He found her stunning and different, and quite honestly he was tired of all his side women. He wanted fresh and knew, and something told him that she would be perfect to relieve his needs. His eyes filled with shock as she said that she wasn't the kind of girl a guy would fall for. "How could you say that? You are everything I would ever want. Beautiful, smart, sexy, intelligent. I think more men want you then you think, unless you aren't interested in pursuing a man?" Addie gave off such a pure innocence, he wanted to see her beg for him. He had no doubt in his mind that this girl only ever went vanilla, and had a serious boyfriend now and then and probably rarely had sex, but he would take her to a whole new world and show her everything he knew if she wanted. He had to convince her. "Oh a walk, how nice." He said with zero enthusiasm, disappointed that she wouldn't take him up on his offer. He would have to show some patience for this one. Then, she took him by surprise at the offer to join her. A brightness lit his face. "Addie, I would love to. There are lots of beautiful parks in Chicago. That way we can get to know each other more. This lunch has been awesome, I really am looking forward to working with you! We will see each other at work, after this pleasant walk." He said, half inviting himself.

Jace felt a rage build in him. When he suggested lunch, he didn't mean going with him. Jace opened up his personal laptop. He's had reports of George being inappropriate at work, but he didn't realize that Addie would go for lunch with him. He called Amelia, and let her know he was out. She could tell he was not impressed by his curt tone, and he hung up immedietly after. Leaving the office, he went straight to the cafe where they went for lunch, and found them just walking out of it. Jace pulls his Porsche to the curb, and gets out as eyes watched him from every corner. He steps out, and follows them. "Adaline!" He calls out. "We need you at the office." He says in a frustrated tone. His body is tense, and suddenly he is much larger, buffer... and colder. Even filled with anger, he was still strikingly sexy and women still watched him afar.

Addie nodded as he invited himself a long. She bit her lip not knowing what to say as she tucked her hair behind her ear. "Umm yeah a walk is nice." she said and looked up and around as she heard her name. "Jace." she said her eyes widening. His stance told her he was angry and she blushed and bit her lip looking down. "Right away Mr. Evans." she said kind of relieved that she didn't have to go on a walk with George. "Thanks again for lunch George." she said and then took a step closer to Jace. "Sorry to keep you waiting Mr. Evans." she said and then looked at his car when he opened the door for her. "I don't mind walking." she said and he gave her a look that told her not to argue. She slipped in the car and buckled up. Addie looked up as Jace came around and got in. She was silent for a second until the red light turned green. "Mr. Evans. I'm sorry I don't understand why you need me back so urgently. I will get the pieces to you in time. I was planning on staying late to make sure I could keep on the schedule. I already have a few pieces for you if you where worried about that." she said and looked at him. It wasn't long before he pulled into the parking spot just for him and she sat there bitting her lip looking at him waiting for him to explain. There was so much tension in the car she didn't know what to do with it or him.

George turned around at the low voice. His eyes looked to see his boss, and he had a look of worry. "Mr. Evans, what are you doing here?" he says. Jace completely ignores his question, and waits as Adaline turns too. George got no response from Jace, and watched as Adaline followed him away. In an uncomfortable position, George just gave Addie a strange look and mumbled "your welcome" quietly, then walked the other way back to the office.

Jace opens the door of his vehicle as she gets into it. He shuts the door, slamming it slightly as he goes to the drivers side. He turns on the ignition, and sits in silence for a moment. He listens to her apologize to keep him waiting, but he didn't care. He reaches over and puts on his seat belt. "Put on your seat belt, Adaline." he says in a stern tone, avoiding her glance. They drive in silence, and he is surprised that she doesn't question why he traced her. He knew instantly from the log that she had left with George, and he didn't hesitate to track her phone and find out where they were. Part of him was bothered by it, but he knew it wasn't his business. "I'm sorry to intrude on your date." he says, finally. His anger had subsided, but the coldness was still there. "Your not late, Adaline. George has a reputation to be not so nice. I just wanted to make sure you were safe." He was still avoiding her eyes, and when they pulled up to the office he went to his personal parking spot. "Are you interested in George?" He says, his eyes irritated. "Or the man from the bar? You can be honest with me, Adaline."

Addie frowned as he finally spoke as they sat there in his car. "Date? No it was more like a work lunch." she said and bit her lip. He told her about George and she frowned. "I didn't know, he seemed nice. But that would explain a lot." she said quietly. She looked up at him surprised he wanted to be sure she was safe. "It's really kind of you but yet again I don't understand why Mr. Evans." she said though she wanted to call him Jace again. If he was acting in a personal way she should talk to him in a personal way. But yet she didn't want to stir his anger again. Suddenly he asked her a very personal question and she turned bright red. "No!" she said said suddenly and almost mortified at the suggestion. "Jace look I'm not into anyone that you seem to think I am. I'm a complicated woman and I seem to like things that are entirely out of my reach. So please stop thinking that every man that I have a moments time with means anything to me." she said blushing something fierce and she reached down unbuckling herself and sighed. "Mr. Evans if I may thought all to you about a work matter. Something that is bothering me really." she said and fidgeted. "I think George is an excellent manager for the others that work on the technological aspect of design but when I showed him a few of my pieces I am debating on he had no clue about it and basically called it pretty which in my opinion is not someone I want to run everything past before taking it to someone who is going to make an executive decision about my pieces. A manager for art should know what they are talking about. I might be wrong and if I am please tell me so but honestly it seems like in order to take anything to you I would have to win a popularity contest for George and that seems ineffective. I understand your re a busy man so if you would consider maybe a project lead then perhaps I wouldn't have to bother you for every little thing." she said softly. "Then I could talk to them about the client list and my ideas and such that frailly you should have to bother with." she said and blushed. "I know this is very sudden but I was very concerned with the set up. I know this is a new venture for you Mr. Evans and I would love to help it go smoothly." she said gently. "Of course it might be entirely possible I am totally overstepping my boundaries and you have already considered such a thing." she said and bit her lip gently then let it go her eyes widening as she remembered this morning. Addie hoped this wouldn't make her frustrated with him since he had warned her that she was on her own and he was a busy man but she wanted to make sure this all went right.

Jace frowned, and bit his tongue refraining him from speaking. He controlled himself like always, and as a control freak does he questioned motives. "Well, it sure seemed like he thought it was a date from the way he touched you." he growled in frustration. I can agree on the complicated part he thought to himself. He listened to her idea intently, understanding. "I have hired a few more people to work on behalf of the gallery, but for now it's just you. If your not comfortable with having ideas go through George, send them to me. As busy as I am, this gallery is important to me and I will make time for it." He offered. "Here is my personal email and number. They don't have to be given the okay with George, and if he questions it, tell him Mr. Evans gave you an exception." he said. "Adaline, you don't have to concern with bothering me. I don't want to make you uncomfortable. You seem nervous around men." he said, referring to her lunch with George. "I know you didn't want to go on that walk." he said, again like the control freak he was. As much as he was over extreme, he was right in most departments with that comment. He had become very good at reading body language. His eyes widened as she said it explained a lot. He took a breath and fear sparked in the deepest parts of him. "Adaline, what do you mean by that? Did he hurt you?" He said. "Did he do something to you?" Suddenly, he was concerned for her and all anger at her washed away as quick as it arrived the moment he seen her log, alongside George's. "I'm gonna fucking kill him if he touched you." he said with such rage that he had to take a few deep breaths and count to ten. He gripped his steering wheel tightly and closed his eyes tightly. "Tell me he didn't touch you, Adaline." He whispered so low under his breath. As controlled and calm he was, the wrath beneath it all was buried as everything inside of him was flexed and full or anger.

Addie smiled as he handed her his private information. "Thank you Sir. I will only contact you with the most important things." she said softly. She blushed as he said she seemed to be uncomfortable with men. She chuckled a little. "It's not just men Sir." she said softly. "I guess you could call me a complacent personality. I don't like to make issues if I can avoid them." she said softly. He talked about her not wanting to go on that walk and she blushed. "Was it that obvious? I like to walk a lone most the time, it gives me time to myself to think and things but I didn't want to be rude. I had to already refuse his invitation to his home." she said and then her eyes grew wide as he seemed to back track and ask her if George hurt her. "No! Please Jace." she shook her head watching his anger flair and she reached out a hand then dropped it tilting her head to the side. "Please do not think ill of him. It was me. I was having a funny filling during lunch. He's friendly a little to friendly but kind and I am sure if I asked him to leave me be he would. "He didn't hurt me Jace." she said softly. She couldn't say he didn't touch her thinking about his hand on her back and she shoulder and the way his hans fluttered over other areas of her body, appropriate yes if not a little more friendly than necessary. "Please do not hurt him on my account." she bit her lip and waited until he seemed calmed. "I'm alright and if it gives you any sense of peace I won't be going out alone with him again. I'll invite Thea who works just a few doors down from me. She's very kind and then you won't need to worry." she said hoping he would calm down now. He was such a puzzlement to her. He wanted her safe, and was almost unreasonable when he didn't have what he wanted. She looked at him completely confused why he would even bother to look out for her when he told her he was so uninterested in a relationship with her. "Why are you looking out for me?" she asked him confused. "Surely you are not like this with every female employee. You where like this before I became your employee too." she said softly. "Please just tell me, you keep not answer this question." she said because it was true. He kept finding ways to not answer her questions when she got to close or was it personal? She couldn't honestly tell which perhaps it was both.

"To his home?" Jace said, feeling relaxed now that she confirmed that George had kept to himself. "You declined?" he said, repeating her words. "I think you made the right choice, Adaline. George is not the type of man you lead on." Jace said with concern. "I don't want you near him. Like I said, things come to me and not him anymore. Okay?" he asked. "Say it." he said, wanting to hear her say the words out of her own mouth. "I don't care what you think about him, I want you safe. I don’t want at put you at risk." Jace gets out, and opens her door. As she gets out, he takes her hand and closes the door behind her. Still holding her hand, he grips it gently and leads her to the door. A few office ladies leaving the building just off work stop and watch in jealousy. They have watched this man for years come and go, getting brief glances, and for him to give attention to the new girl was beyond hurtful to them. Ignoring their glances, he leads her instead and towards the elevator. Once in, he lets go of her hand and clicks the button on the elevator. When the doors open, he walks in and watches her intently his stunning gaze eyeing her. “Come in with me.” He says, and when she obliges he closes the door, puts his fingerprint to get to his office, and up they go. The ride is quiet, and he avoids looking at her still. Those blue eyes caused him to heat up, and he couldn’t do that right now. “I worry about you, Adaline. Do you always have this many questions for me?” He answers simply at her question. And I kind of would like to fuck you dry in this elevator all night he thinks to himself.

"Yes. Of course I declined. You don't go to someone's home unless you are looking for something more than friendship..." she blushed and realized what that said about her. "Oh Thanks for confirming my instinct." she said sarcastically and sighed. "Okay." She said and tilted her head as he told her he wanted to hear her say it. "Okay all things come to you. No problem." she said and bit her lip. "Is there anything else Sir?" she asked a sharpe tone in her voice as he opened her door. She took his hand blushing and gently squeezing once to ensure him she was alright. Addie blushed as he lead her inside and the girls they passed stared at them will malice in their eyes. She wasn't making anymore friends by staying close to Jace she she figured before long the rummer would be that she slept her way into her job which was preposterous. They headed to the elevator and she stood there with him her belly in tangles over the close closed courter. What was it about elevators? He spoke without looking at her and she looked over at him. He asked if she would always have this many questions and she smiled. "Will you always refuse to answer them?" she asked back. It was true she asked a lot of questions but he didn't answer about just as many as she asked. "Honestly if you started to answer them I would stop asking so many. Well so many of the same kind really." she said and tucked her hair behind her ear and pulled it to one side the blush never seeming to leave her cheeks. It was something about Jace that made her comfortable and yet completely vulnerable at the same time. She had never known someone like him. It wasn't that he was always that way, he confused and frightened her, he made her angry and often he made her feel foolish. It was all of that combined that made him so alluring, mysterious and sexy. Everything she couldn't have. Not only was he her boss now but he was a famous bachelor who was worth more than she would make in three lifetimes. But yet he spent time talking to her making sure she was alright and she knew this wasn't normal because the stares people gave them, the jealousy and rage that was shot at her was at times quite alarming. "Mr. Evans... where are we going?" she asked him back to calling him Mr. Evans again since they where back at work and he stopped asking such personal questions... for the moment at least.

"Maybe someday I will decide to answer them." He gave her a playful smile, so beautiful it hurt internally and made people physically swoon. He looks up at the ceiling, then at the wall of the elevator behind her. Then, his eyes drifted to hers and he tilted his head at her. "Your blushing. Your always blushing." He says. "And biting that lip." he is quiet for a moment. "Would you like to come see my office?" He says with a lively look. Clearly, this office was something he was proud of. The ride to the very top of the building is announced by a short "DING!" that alerts them that they had arrived. The doors open, and a door lay in front. He reaches forward and grasps the knob, and as they walk into his office he watches her expression. "This is it." He says, walking right to the glass wall and peering at the city below. "Come here." He said, as she does as she is told. "If you appreciate art, you will appreciate this view." He says, peering down with focus. Being so many stories high, this view would scare someone afraid of heights. "Do you like heights, Adaline?" He asks, turning away from the window now and walking to his bar where he pours himself a drink. "Would you like something?" He says, throwing in a few chunks of ice. She turned at his question, and his breath hitched. She was angelic, and everything about her screamed innocence. She shouldn't be here. He counts to ten in his head, trying to calm himself even though he looked perfectly contained outside.

Addie blushed as he smiled at her and she chuckled a smile of her own meeting his. She looked down and then back at him still bitting her lip as he pointed out she was blushing which made her only blush harder but when he mentioned her lip and dropped it her mouth opening slightly for a moment. He asked if she would like to see his office and she smiled. "Yes." she said and the tension in the elevator was broken by the sound of the ding. She looked over and walked out with him watching him open his office doors and she walked in after him. This was his personal get away and hardly anyone had stepped foot in it but she had. She smiled. "It really is lovely." she said and watched him move over to the big windows. He was a sight to see like this. She stood then until he looked at her and told her to come to him. She walked over to him slowly watching him in the window. "Like heights? I'm not scared of them or anything but I have had no real reason to like them..." she tampered off as she stepped up to the window her eyes widening. "Until now." she said looked out at the beautiful view below. She bit her lip and smiled. The way the city was was beautiful. She had known it on the ground but up here it was like an entirely different world. Addie turned as he asked if she would like something. She tilted her head to the side slightly and smiled. "Oh just a water please." she said and then peeked back out at the view before moving over towards Jace. "This suits you." she said softly and smiled. "But you already knew that." she chuckled. She thanked him as he handed the water to her and she took a sip of it. "Mr. Evans..." she looked down. "Thank you for coming to get me from lunch. I really didn't want to spend my time with George as kind as he is." she said and blushed looking down feeling rude for saying it but she wanted Jace to know that it was a good thing what he did for her. He took care of her, sure a little over protective but still she was thankful for it. Addie looked back up at him smiling gently. "So Mr. Evans if I many ask what do you love about your job?" she asked him curiously though there were so many other things she wanted to ask she figured this one he could at least answer.

"I spend lots of time here. I'm glad you like it too." He said about the big open office with a modern edge. He was surprised to hear she didn't like heights. "Really? You aren't fascinated with the sky? Don't you like the feeling of being on top, above everything? It truly is a beautiful sight, but the open air when your hundreds above the ground is a thrill you can't replicate." He said, still taken aback by the beautiful view below him. Jace throws in a few more chunks of ice in her glass of water. Taking it, he walks over to her and sets the cup in her hand gently. "I know." A threatening smile presses against his chiseled sculped lips and his expression softens at her words. He takes a drink, and holds the tumbler against him as he stands beside her. When she speaks, he turns to her mildly. When she says his name and looks down, he interupts her. "Adaline, look at me when you speak." He said, as she peered up. "As mentioned before, I like to see your face." And those eyes. Those beautiful fucking eyes begging me. She finishes, and he nods. "It was my pleasure to rescue you. Am I the night in shining armor for saving you from a walk?" He said sarcastically, a playful look not fitting his attractive appearance and masculine powerful body. Everything about him could cause a fainting spell or make hormones run, he was like a dream. But yet, he was as far from who he wanted to be. "I love being the boss. It's who I am." He says plainly, his answers as usual curt and straight to the point. But then to her surprise, he elaborates. "Everything we stand in is built from me alone from the ground up. I'm grateful that I get the opportunity to have a successful life and be able to share what I have accomplished and prove that just because you are a fuck up early in life, doesn't mean you can't make it."

Addie was fascinated with he way he spoke and she smiled. "Well I haven't had many occasions to look down at the city. I'm usually always looking up although it's not a bad view from the bottom either, the sky is always beautiful and it fills me with wonder." she said and smiled. "You're right though there is something about this that you just can't replicate." she said and smiled softly looking back out at the city as she sipped her water. When he told her to look at him as she spoke and blushed as she looked into his face. Addie giggled as he asked if he was the knight in shinning armor. "Yes I suppose in this aspect you where." she said and smiled at him the playfulness a sweet look she was transfixed by. He really made her more curious and desire more the longer she was around him. She could guess she wasn't the only one and he was probably sick of women throwing themselves at him. Addie knew who she couldn't obtain and he was one of them so she unlike many wouldn't even try. Jace started to answer her question about being the boss and she smiled gently. Of course he would enjoy being the boss and being in control. He was a regular control freak and yet she didn't seem to mind it at all. Perhaps it was because when he spoke it brought order to her life and that was something she rarely had. Yet again he surprised her by going a little deeper than she expected him to. She had learned nothing of his upbringing online and she looked at him with wide sad eyes. "That is an inspirational if not sad statement Mr. Evans." she said softly and finished her water and looked at the time. "Aww well unfortunately my lunch break is about ended and I must go and clock in before I get back to work. "I am thoroughly enjoying my work so far. Though is you did have a client list or an idea of one I would like to see it and work on it with your new team if you didn't mind. It will influence the pieces I pick." she explained and smiled at him. She couldn't seem to not smile at this beautiful man. She stood there looking at him with he desired to run her hands over his chest and then up into his hair and give it a good yank to her mouth. She had been dreaming about those lips for the last few days. It didn't help that he always wanted her facing him. It made it harder not to want him in very inappropriate ways. And although her body might reveal her in small ways she was nothing but polite and kind to Jace, but not overly so as if she was trying to get him to give something to her. She was herself hormones and desire or not. Addie was determined not to be like all the other girls in the office. She enjoyed her work and her life and would be just fine if she never saw Jace again, disappointed for a while sure but just fine. "Thank you again for taking personal time to share it with me." she said and handed him the glass back and headed towards his door. "I guess I will be seeing you around Mr. Evans and please do let me know about the client list and when the construction is done. I need to see the space so I can start to visualize it." she said and beamed as she talked about art.

"Hopefully someday the occasion will occur," he gave her a rare mischievous look. "Possibly soon." They both stand in awe at the view he gets to sit by everyday while working. The office itself was even a art, every piece of it perfectly composed. Likewise him. The office could be mistaken for the size of a small home, as it was quite spacious and comfortable. "It's the truth." He shrugged, avoiding furthering the topic. "Sad or inspirational, it is what it is." He says with very well contained sentiment, and by the strict tone of voice it was clear he was finished discussing it. He took in her presence, her body so close he could almost taste her. His eyes watched her intently, as her wide eyes looked up at the antique clock, one feature of the office that was not quite up to date with the interior. The clock held sentimental value to him, so he liked to be able to put it to use. Sadly, this clock was now the source of his dismay. "What's the rush?" He mumbles, giving her a look that was enough to seduce a human. It's clear he is focused on her, his deep blue eyes blazing as he licked his lips slowly licking off the alcohol that settled on them. "Are you intimidated by me? You seem nervous." He said, wandering around to his desk and sitting now, knowing he wouldn't be able to stand her presence so close for too long. He didn't want to risk it. He was not a good person, and she was. But yet, why was he stalling? "Demanding." he says, the one word so powerful with the voice perfectly gruff. He takes the glass from her, and as he gazes at her purposely he tips her glass back into his mouth drinking the remnants of the melted ice cubes. Again, he licks his lips and is able to taste her. She tasted exactly how she smelled; floral and feminine. Mmm. He stands up now, and opens his office door His arm brushes past her torso, and the refreshing smell of a mix of cologne and expensive body wash bathe the air. "I guess I will be 'seeing you around' too, Adaline." He repeats to her. "Don't get in too much trouble. Your knight in shining armor has work to do." he gives her a rare genuine smile, that happened more often then usual during their visit. He closes the door behind her, and sets her glass on the bar.

Addie wondered what other occasions she might have to enjoy heights. She doubted she would be visiting many sky risers in the near future. He dismissed the questions she hadn't even asked without saying a single thing and she sighed understand some things where just to personal to share. She looked up at him as he asked what the rush was and she blushed. "I have over 50 websites with over 20 pages each to look into." she said and smiled gently. "And we do have a deadline." she said and bit her lip. He asked if she was intimidated by him and she chuckled softly. "I think you intimidate everyone Mr. Evans but in your case it works for you and not against you." she smiled gently. "And if I seem nervous around you perhaps it has to do with the way you are a constant curiosity to me." she said and looked up at him. Addie raised an eyebrow as he said that one word that made her feel suddenly to big and she wanted to take it all back but she knew better, things needed to get done. "Only when necessary and to get the gallery open and functional in the time we have I believe it is necessary but if you disagree then tell me so." she said easily watched him drink from the glass she had just handed him. She gulped finding it ridiculously sexy and her eyes followed his tongue as it moved over his bottom lip. Addie walked tot he door with him and inhaled sharply as he brushed past her making her think of him in her apartment int he doorway of her bedroom. He smelled just as amazing now as he had then. Her heart hammered in her chest as she looked up at him stepping out her eyes looking into his. She smiled back at him. "Then have a good day Mr. Evans." she said softly and watched as he closed the door. She hit the elevator button and tried not to rest her head on the elevator doors until she was inside the elevator. She rode the elevator down until she hit the floor she needed. She clocked int hen headed to her office still feeling dazed. Addie slipped into her office and closed her door as she sat down and got to work burying herself in her work to help her ignore the terrible thoughts and emotions that Jace ensued in her.

Jace sits back down in his office chair, leaning back he closes his eyes as he's interrupted by a loud ringing. Noticing it's his personal phone, he doesn't even bother to see the contact ID thinking it was of unimportance. And he was right. Picking it up, he growls out a quick "What?" in annoyance. "Hey sir. It's Ashley... I haven't heard from you. How would you like to meet up? I've been such a dirty girl." Her voice is needy and despite trying to hide it, also full of hurt at his ignorance. Jace sighs, not even able to remember who this girl was. "Is this Ashley the redhead or Ashlyn the blonde?" He said. "Ashley the readhand..." She responded. He bites his tongue. "I've been busy at work. Don't call this phone again. I will call you if I need you." He says sternly, and without a goodbye hangs up the phone. Still relaxing, he thinks about Adaline. God, he would love to fuck her right now. Maybe against that window that they both mutually loved. Horny and frustrated, he sends a quick text to Amelia. Leaving office now. before going down the elevator and outside. The fresh air he inhaled gave him exhilaration. He loved the fresh air, cool and calming in his lungs. Jace goes to his private parking spot, and drives up into the city.

Rikki files her nails as Mr. Whiskers is curled up on her lap, her feet propped up on the table. She sets down her file, and picks up her phone sending a text to Addie. So? How was the first day of work? See Mr. Sexy Billionaire from a distance? ;) She shuts her phone and puts it down beside her on the couch cushion, stroking her kitty. She heads into the kitchen, setting her cat on the couch as she stretches and heads into the kitchen to make supper. Opening a bag of noodles, she starts a pot of boiling water hoping that Addie had a good day as she thought about her friend.

Addie worked in her office for the rest of the day with no interruption until about seven when her phone went off with a text. She blinked and looked up from her computer and bit her lip. She had been so absorbed in the work she hadn't noticed what time it was. Addie saved her progress then closed her laptop and cleaned up her desk making a mental note to get some folders later for her filling. Addie stood and walked over to her phone and smiled seeing Rikki's text. Hey hun. Had a really good day and yeah I saw my boss several times today but not from a far at all. Addie grinned as she sent the text then packed up her things suddenly wondering how she was going to get home since she hadn't driven her car. Addie walked downstairs saying goodnight to the guard after she clocked out. She walked out onto the street. She breathed in deep the city air. It was cooler and she could have used a jacket. She realized she probably should eat too. She sighed knowing she had some leftovers in her fridge but bit he time she got there she would be much to hungry. She looked both ways down the street and decided to just find a little restaurant and eat something there. Addie smiled as she walked carrying her folder from home with the things that couldn't wait and a few of her personal things. Addie was actually kind of surprised Jace hadn't told her when to eat dinner as well and what not. She chuckled and shook her head. He was a very curious man for her. She felt like in art she could guess his taste but she felt there was more to Jace than she knew of right now. Addie walked down the street finding more people as she went closer to where the restaurants where.

Rikki gasped out loud, despite no one to actually witness it except for Mr. Whiskers. She squels and pulls her phone into her chest, and instead of responding she actually calls Addie. Not even offering a hello, her high pitched voice filled the air. "Addie! Tell me EVERYTHING, I wanna know all the details." She jumps around her house, Mr. Whiskers getting scared and scurrying off. "So? How was it? Meeting him again?" She said, actually smiling to herself. There was no one that was a more true loyal friend to Rikki than Addie. She even wanted to move in with her knowing they were both going to be in the same city, but unfortunately her wealthy parents wanted to buy her a brand new apartment. She was always trying to get Addie to hit it off with somebody, but Addie was one to keep to herself.

Jace drives around the city, looking at wandering people. His vehicle drew attention, and so did he. His arm rested on the open window as he stops at a red light. He didn't know what he wanted, but his pent up anger was starting to drive him crazy. He thinks about his 'second home', and if he could maybe call one of his 'acquaintances' and maybe fuck around to relieve some of his energy. It was late, and most of the people in the office would be getting home to their families for supper while he was here alone. He thought that maybe having sex all night would be draining enough to give him a winks of sleep. Thinking deeper, he thought about Adaline. Something about her was so intriguing, and the way she held herself was unlike anyone he had met. As he ponders his thoughts, he worries about her working overtime and not getting a sufficient meal time. He texts Amelia, who is always the last to leave the office. Make sure Adaline Laurent has gone home.. He runs his hand over his scruff, and down his chiseled jaw deep in thought. Amelia replies, letting him know that Adaline had already logged out of the building. Feeling at piece with his concerns, Jace pulls up past his security gates and into his huge garage big enough to hold all of his toys.

Addie got into the restaurant she picked out. "Hold on Rikki." she said then looked up at the hostess. "A table for one please." she said and then put the phone back to her ear. "It was really no big deal Rikki." Addie said following the hostess back to the table in the corner. She thanked the lady with a nod and sat back. "He came in to be sure I was settling into my office fine and hand me an assignment. He was very instant that I was taken care of and knew my schedule." she said giving Rikki the basis of her interaction with Jace leaving out everything that would make Rikki think there was more there than there was. It was already hard fighting those own thoughts in her head she didn't need Rikki saying it too but she would never lie to her best friend. "Then after lunch he wanted to be sure I had everything I needed and was settling in well after meeting my floor lead. He decided it would be best for me to send my progress straight to him because of the lead's lack of knowledge about the art world." she said and smiled. "Really it was all done efficiently though I figure that I am working on a very important project for Mr. Evans because he is really involved." she said thinking that was the best way to not only put it but to think of it as well. Once the Gallery was up and running he would probably only come to her in order to search for a particular person or art piece. "Oh hey Rikki I was wondering if you could give me a ride though. I carpooled in this morning and worked well past the time I meant to." she said knowing that was a stretch of the truth but she didn't want to explain what Jace would leave his driver and car for her. Addie would not be letting him do so again no matter how he argued. You didn't demand a woman to be escorted to work then expect her to figure out a ride home. It was rude and demeaning and she wasn't going to just let it go. He would hear of it if he ever decided to argue with her again but most likely he had already lost interest in his new toy.

Rikki frowns, disappointed by the explanation. "That's it?" She mumbled sadly. "Awee, well that's okay. You know me, I will take any opportunity to party. Wanna celebrate?" She giggles, but stops mid thought. "Wait, Addie... He checked on you after lunch. You do realize, he has hundreds of employees, and yet he takes the time to check on you? I don't know Addie, as unobtainable as he may seem; maybe you should give it a shot! I mean give it your all, you know?" She said. "Not to mention you now get the special privelage of speaking emailing texting or whatever to Mr. Sexy Billionaire himself! That is a great opportunity for some flirting." She said, trying to give Addi some tips. "You are stunning Adddie. Your so funny smart and beautiful. I don't know what else a man would want with that much money!" She said. "You are the real deal." Rikki said, before they moved on the conversation. "Oh yeah, sure babe! Just let me know when I will be on my way." She smiled. "We need some girl talk."

Jace strips out of his suit, hopping into the shower for the second time that day. He was a clean freak, too. As he's in the shower, he leans his head against the wall once again stuck with thoughts of Adaline. Speaking of... didn't Hank watch her door? Jace suddenly feels panic, and the edge of an anxiety attack approaches. Out of breath, he jumps out of the shower and shuts the water off in a frenzy completely lost. He fumbles for his phone laying on his bed, and tracks her signal since it was faster than searching for her contact information including her number in the system. Throwing on a tshirt and some faded jeans, Jace runs out of the door. Adora looks up in a panic. "Where you going?" She said with concern her thick accent loud, but with no time to answer Jace ignores her and goes into his vehicle and following her signal. He arrives at the restaurant, and barges inside. All eyes turn to him, and he goes out to the open table area looking for a small pretty brunette. His eyes land on her, and he lets out a breath of relief. "Adaline, my god." he said, his hair still slightly damp and messy as his shirt stuck on him slightly from the moisture of the shower. The smell of his shampoo and body wash was extra strong. "I left you stranded at work." He said, a wave of gulit passing through him. "I put you in a dangerous position." He said. "Who knows what could have happened to you. Come on." He says, offering his hand. What kind of man am I? he thinks to himself. He hated losing control and being wrong, so he contained himself from combusting in anger. Not at her, but himself.

Addie grinned at Rikki and chuckled. "Yes but how many new employees does he have starting a new avenue of his business? It's nothing and I am not using work to flirt with him Rikki!" she said blushing and shook her head. Suddenly Jace comes storming into the restaurant looking like a wet god. She inhaled sharply his wild eyes meeting hers and she felt speechless. He walked over rambling about something and she blushed looking around seeing everyone staring at her. "Jace." she breathed as he said her name panic in his voice. She blinked and shook her head. "Rikki I'm going to need you call you later. Don't wait up." she said and hung up on her friend figuring she would understand at some point. She would have more explaining to do she was sure. Addie set her phone down and looked up at him. She could see the panic and the guilt. She frowned. "You did but I am perfectly able to find a ride home as a full grown woman. I am fine and would have remained that way besides a walk on a night like tonight is nice." she shook her head and looked at his hand then up at him. "I am sorry I can't quite run off with you yet. I am actually really hungry and am not willing to wait much longer than it takes to place an order." she said and looked at the waitress as she came over. "Oh will this gentle man be joining you today ma'am?" she asked and Addie smiled and looked up at Jace who looked like he needed to sit down and she gently put her hand in his. "Why don't you sit and at least have a drink while I eat something then you can apologize properly this time and tell me what has you rushing over here and not sending Hank." she said softly and took her gentle hand back as she looked over her menu. "Mmm the cheese and mushroom raviolis with marinara and salad. And to drink just a water please." she said and looked at Jace as if asking him what he wanted to do here. He had already made quite a sense and she was sure if he tried to argue with her now there would be an even bigger fuss, He could try arguing with her later, not that it was going to work.
