Vampires and Vexes

Kai hissed when she pressed the broken glass to his neck, “Being angry looks good on you.” He grinned as he looked at her, he slowly leaned closer to her causing the glass to pierce his skin more. Then he felt the pressure lessen, if she was going to kill him, it wasn’t going to be now. “Why wait? Kill me now, I’ve already threatened her, and I’ve already hurt her. Kill me” He smirked smugly as he knew that she wouldn’t, for some reason she wouldn’t. At least now that second, and he wasn’t sure why.

“You don’t seem to be like other vampires, not that I’ve seen many. Of course, I haven’t. I’ve been locked away, but I’ve seen enough to know that you’re different.” Kai looked at her and studied her, she had all the makings of a vampire. But then was something she was hiding, he could see it in her eyes. And he was going to find out what her secret was. “We could be a great team you know,” He had always worked alone, when he killed his siblings he had been alone, in the prison world he had been alone. He was sick and tired of being alone.

Pippa looked at him and smiled, “Who says that you would have needed to protect me? By the sounds of it, I would have needed to protect you.” She smiled as she hadn’t felt this way in a long time, having a sense of familiarity that ran deep. Mirah was family and she loved her, but the love she had once shared with Tyler was different in so many ways. “A night out sounds great,” She agreed as it would be nice to see everyone again, and Mirah would get to meet her old friends and they’d be able to just enjoy themselves.

“Do I need to prepare myself? If you bring a girlfriend tonight or the blonde from the bar, I’d like to know first.” Pippa looked at him, she would be fine if he did have a girlfriend or was interested in a girl. She had been gone for too long to feel hurt over Tyler moving on, she wasn’t expecting him to be holding onto their relationship or love.

Tyler chuckled when Pippa brought up the topic of a girl, ever since Caroline he had kind of kept away from girls. Which hadn't been too bad if he was being honest on himself. Looking at the brunette he shook his head.

"No you don't need to prepare yourself, you might want to prepare your friend though, if you remember our friends you remember how crazy they can get sometimes." Tyler couldn't remember the last time he had been out with his friends from school and it being a normal night with no attacks of any sorts, no sudden drama. The male hoped and prayed that tonight would be a simply night of enjoying each others company, drinking, and having fun.

"What about yourself? You got yourself a man?" In all truthfulness Tyler selfishly wished she hadn't if he was given the chance he would take Pippa back in a heartbeat.

Mirah was both confused and unsettled by this guy. He was crazy, Mirah had seen her fair share of crazy considering how long she had been around and Kai here was in the top ten of being crazy. She was so confused as to why he pushed the glass deeper into his skin. He seemed to have no fear. Did he really want her to kill him? What was his deal.

"I'm not like other vampires, but than again you aren't like many other people what is your deal? You're crazy? What makes you think we could be a good team?" she kept her distance from Kai if he had the ability to syphon power from her she wanted to be as far away from his as possible but she knew that if he touched her he could take a portion of her strength. "If you think threatening Pippa will get me to side with you, believe me you are so very, very mistaken."

Kai looked at Mirah as a flash of hurt crossed his eyes, the emotion only lasted a second before it was gone. “You think I’m crazy? I wouldn’t say I was, I’m simply damaged and want my revenge for everything that was done to me.” He told her as his plan wasn’t really a secret, he had to kill the twins and then he would finally have the power he needed, he’d be able to lead the Gemini coven. The coven who sent him into his personal hell, he’d be unstoppable and that’s all he wanted.

“You obviously have the power, you’ve been around for a long time. You have a Castillo witch on your side… well kind of, so it’s it obvious? No one would be able to stop us,” Kai explained to Mirah as he watched her, she was keeping her distance from him which was smart. Although he wasn’t going to touch her, he wanted power yes, but he didn’t want to take it from her. “And I apologize about threatening your friend, sometimes words just come from my mouth without me wanting them to.” He took one step closer to her, “We can start this slow… what’s your favourite colour?”

Pippa smiled when she heard that Tyler wasn’t dating anyone, she wasn’t happy about it because it meant he hadn’t let him find someone special. But, then she was happy because there could be a small chance that she’d get him back. “I’ll give Mirah a warning, I’m sure she’s seen just about every type of drunk person.” She laughed softly as she knew Mirah had been a vampire for a very long time, she would have seen so much, and she would have been around so many different people.

“No, no boyfriend. I kind of gave up on dating, the last guy I did go on a date with… well he went to kiss me, and I nearly bit him. So, I ran away from that situation.” Pippa told Tyler honestly, it was the part she hated the most about being a vampire. Not being able to get close to someone without thinking about drinking them dry of their blood, so Pippa decided never to date or get that close to a human ever again.

"Oh..." Tyler nodded his head in understanding he knew where she was coming from, when he had been a hybrid he always had those cravings and he was terrified to bite anyone, especially Caroline when the two had been together, however he had broken that with Klaus's influence he had bitten her which in turn had almost caused her to die.

"I can understand that," he nodded his head, "Believe me." he paused for a moment before deciding to change the topic. "So what are you studying here?" he was more than interested to find out what she was studying and if she still loved the things she had back when the two had known each other.

Mirah's brows rose what did he mean damaged? What had been done to him? questions bubbled in her mind but she didn't want to ask them. Not yet. Instead she decided to go along with what he was doing as long as it meant he wouldn't hurt anyone she loved.

"Lavender, yourself?" she inhaled sharply when he stepped toward her, she wanted to take another step back but she couldn't she was already pressed firmly against the dorm room wall. Her light eyes looked up meeting his they were a bright blue and the truth was he was an attractive guy. Surely he would get more women if he was less psychotic. However that could be due to his past. What thing so horrible could have been done to him that he wants revenge which resulted in killing people?

“That’s a pretty colour,” Kai looked at Mirah and he could easily admire her beauty, he hadn’t seen someone as beautiful as her before. Although that wouldn’t be surprising considering he hadn’t seen anyone for decades, not until Damon and Bonnie found themselves in his hell. “Mine would be a forest green,” He told her as he took another step closer to her, Mirah had nowhere to move. Her back was pressed against the wall of the room, but he wasn’t going to hurt her.

“Do you like music?” He asked as he took the final step towards her, he slowly raised his hand and showed Mirah his palm as if to tell her that he wasn’t going to touch or hurt her. He did let his fingers gently brush some of her curls away from her face, he didn’t touch her skin though. “You aren’t wearing a ring, so you aren’t married. Why not?” He asked as he lowered his voice, why hadn’t she found someone who loved her? Surely, her beauty would attract all kinds of people.

Pippa looked at Tyler, “All the basic classes really. And yes, I do still want to become a teacher one day.” She smiled as he had always teased her about wanting to be a teacher, he said she’d have to deal with kids like him all day long. That didn’t turn Pippa away, she wanted to help people learn and build themselves for when they got older and had to start their own adult life. “I’m thinking I want to teach English or maybe even Science.” She looked at him as those had always been her favourite classes growing up.

“What about you? Any ideas of what you’ll be after college?” Pippa wanted to know if he had a plan for his life yet, she remembered he didn’t have one during high school, but then again heaps of students didn’t. She knew that he would be great at many different things, she just wasn’t sure if he knew that.

"Well I am glad that you still want to be a teacher, I could honestly see you doing both english and science, as for me I still don't really have a plan. Maybe a police officer, I want to protect people who can't protect themselves," which was true Tyler did in fact want to protect people especially with everything that was going on back at Mystic Falls. He looked at his watch and saw that it was getting late and he still had to contact his friends to see if they wanted to come out for a night of fun with one of their oldest friends.

"Well it is getting later, I suppose I should send out some texts to see if the others want to come out tonight." he smiled before digging out his phone and sending out a group message to his friends.

Hey guys you're never gonna believe it but Pippa Castillo is here. Who's up for a night off, a night out and heap of fun? he hit the send button and waited for the others to reply.

"Well uh... did you want me to walk you back to your dorm room?" he asked assuming she would want to talk to Mirah and get changed for later tonight.

"Yours too," Mirah nodded her head."Uhm... some..." she watched as he took one last step toward her, when he reached out her hand stiffened however he didn't touch her instead he simply pushed some of her curls out of her face, his hand not brushing her skin at all.

"No not married..." she paused looking down at her bare hands, she had never been engaged or married. She had always been a bit of a loner even through all the years she had been happy to keep to herself. She had been in the company of many men but it had never been love. The truth was she had never found someone she felt anything for. "Never found that special person." and that wasn't a lie. "Yourself, have you ever been in love?" of all the topics to talk about Love seemed to be the one they had landed on.

Kai smiled as he looked at her, she hadn’t been in love either. He honestly didn’t know what love even felt like, he never felt it from his family, who all thought he was a monster. “No, it’s pretty hard to fall in love when you go decades without having any human contact. And, my family or my coven never wanted me because of what I am.” He had been born a siphoner, it had been out of his control. It was actually his parent’s fault, they had made him after all, but of course, they didn’t see it that way.

“I don’t know if I can love anymore,” He told her, he felt comfortable talking to her. He wanted her to know his story, to realise that he hadn’t always been a monster, but was made into one with the crappy life he had been dealt. “I’m sure you will find him,” Why was he being so nice to her? He couldn’t remember the last time he had been nice to someone, he didn’t feel the usual hatred or anger as he stood there with her. That confused him greatly.

Pippa smiled when Tyler’s phone started beeping as all of their friends replied to his message, “I guess they’re all coming?” She was glad that she’d be able to see all her old friends again, it had been so long since she left Mystic Falls. “I can see you being a police officer, you’d look really good in a uniform.” She smiled as it was true, he’d look incredibly hot in a uniform and she knew he’d be an amazing police officer.

“Yeah, let’s go.” Standing up Pippa turned and headed back towards the dorm she shared with Mirah, it was nice to just have Tyler there again. To have him by her side and back in her life again, he was like the last piece of a puzzle for Pippa. Walking over to the door, she frowned when she saw it was already slightly open and she heard his voice again.

Rushing inside, her eyes narrowed in of the guy from the bar. “Get the hell away from her, or I will kill you.” She hissed as anger bubbled inside her, why was Mirah letting him be so close to her? Her anger caused objects in the room to rattle, Pippa watched as Kai put his hands up in surrender as he backed away from Mirah.

Tyler smiled nodding his head at her comment about all the friends coming for drinks, and it was true all of them were interested in catching up again.

"I know... but then again I would look good in anything," the male teased throwing a cheeky wink at the female. The two got to their feet and walked back toward the dorms. Tyler was startled to find that the door was already ajar, surely Mirah wouldn't have left it open not after what they had been though earlier. The male rushed in with Pippa and saw who was in the room with the vampire. Even though Pippa had strength Tyler still grabbed her arm to stop her he didn't want her to get hurt again and this was the only way he could think to stop her, that and he hoped to stop the objects rattling in the room. Kai lifted his hands and moved away from Mirah.

Mirah was aching to know more about Kai, even though he wielded power she was drawn to him, there seemed to be a softer side buried deep inside him, hidden beneath all the hard, psychotic exterior.

"What happened to you?" the question fell from her lips without her thinking, she was about to apologise when Pippa and Tyler rushed into the room. She could see the anger radiating in her eyes and she knew she had to be calmed down immediately otherwise things were going to explode.

"Pippa, it's okay... he wasn't going to hurt me," her eyes moved to Kai who was now standing against the bedroom wall a few steps away from her. "And he isn't going to hurt you!" she eyed the male closely making sure he wouldn't.

(Seeing as everyone is together, I’ll put my replies together.)

Kai dropped his hands as he leaned against the wall, he was interested to see what would happen now. “I won’t be hurting anyone in this room,” He assured Mirah as his eyes looked to her, and it was only because of her that he wouldn’t kill the young teenagers. He grinned as he heard objects rattling inside the room, he could pretty much feel the anger from the young witch and he didn’t blame her after what he did earlier at the bar. “Don’t use up all your energy,” He looked over at the witch, he had felt what was going on inside her body and it caused a shiver to run down his spine. Clearly Mirah hadn’t been informed about what was happening to her friend, he could see how strong their friendship was.

“Shut up,” Pippa snapped as she tried to focus on Tyler’s touch, she closed her eyes for a few seconds to calm her breathing. Slowly the objects that were rattling stopped, as Pippa calmed the anger that she felt seeing the psycho so close to her friend. Looking at Mirah, the vampire didn’t seem to be overly scared. She was frightened but she wasn’t scared, if she had been scared then she would have fought Kai off. Mirah was older and a vampire, she held the strength and power to kill Kai or at least, make him stay away from her. But she hadn’t. “Why is he still here?” Pippa asked Mirah as he was annoying her, and he wasn’t really doing anything.

“Because Mirah hasn’t told me to leave yet,” Kai grinned as he was enjoying this, “Look… I’m sorry for what happened at the bar, I am. I’m after the twins, and I didn’t think about you when I grabbed your arm.” He explained knowing if he wanted to see Mirah again, he had to apologize to her friend and not come across as such a dick. “That felt good, is this what you guys feel when you apologize for doing something wrong?” He asked as he hadn’t felt that sense of… what was it… relief, knowing that he did the right thing when he apologised. That emotion was completely foreign to him.

Pippa listened to what Kai had to say, but she didn’t believe his apology. He was a crazed mad man who was on a revenge mission against his family, something that she wanted Mirah to stay away from. “Can you stop talking,” Pippa glanced over to him before her eyes moved back to her friend, “Please tell me he isn’t staying. He said it himself, he’s here to kill his family. Mirah, we’ve never stuck around someone that insane.” She had to talk some sense into her friend, although Pippa was surprised that she had to. Mirah knew better than this, to fall for Kai’s charms and words. He was someone who was never going to change, it was impossible for him to change or to become a better person.

Mirah turned and looked at Kai he was a mystery this man, she didn't know what to think about him. He had promised not to hurt her and he hadn't yet so that was something but from the look Pippa was giving him she didn't believe anything he was saying. Mirah could understand that she could but there was something about Kai that hadn't been unlocked. Something deep inside him she was sure would change him.

Mira looked at her friend when he made the comment about her energy the way she had snapped so quickly back at him made he brow raise there was something going on with her that she wasn't telling her. The two of them never had secrets, why now is she hiding something from her. The siphoners eyes wandered to Tyler who had his hand on her holding her arm. She was relieved that he had some sort of effect on her.

"He was just leaving," Mirah said looking at Kai and nodding her head hoping the male wouldn't cause a scene and would just leave. She would find him again. She would talk to him. Perhaps if she can't get it out of Pippa she would talk to him about what was going on with her because he knew something that she didn't.

Tyler kept his hand on Pippa not daring to let go afraid that she would either lash out at Kai which would more than likely result in her being killed. Or he would simply grab her again and cause her agonising pain before doing something to Mirah. Tyler looked at Mirah but kept quiet it wasn't his place to say anything all he could do was be there for Pippa. However the fact that Kai knew something about her that he didn't unsettled him and he knew he was going to have to get it out of her some way. He needed to know what was going on with her and if there was anything he could do to help her.

Kai had wanted to stay there and watch as everything unfolded, clearly the witch hadn’t told anyone about what was happening to her. But, Mirah told him to leave. He wanted to refuse and stay there, but knew if he did that it wouldn’t go down well among the small group. So, he pushed himself off the wall and looked at Mirah.

“I’m sure I’ll see you again soon, maybe we can finish our chat then.” He grinned at her before he walked towards the door, his eyes moving onto the other youngster. “Good luck explaining it all to them,” He was being a jerk and he knew it, but he really did enjoy stirring people up the wrong way. He left the dorm open, shutting the door behind him before he walked off. He was starving, so he went in search of some food to give him energy, so he could kill the twins.

Pippa’s eyes stayed focused on Kai until he left, she sent his daggers because now both Mirah and Tyler would want to know what was going on with her. She hadn’t told Mirah, simply because she didn’t want to hurt her feelings. Her witch side and her vampire side were fighting against each other, she didn’t want Mirah to know because she turned Pippa. She thought Mirah would blame herself, which Pippa didn’t want.

So, she decided to keep them off that subject for as long as she could. “What was he doing in here? What did he say to you?” She asked as she looked at her closest friend, this is what Pippa was scared of. That Mirah would want to know more about Kai because he was a siphoner like she was, Pippa was also terrified that Kai would realise that if a siphoner was turned into vampire then that person would have all the magic from the vampire blood inside of them.

Meaning Kai would then probably be harder to kill, if they had to. “I can here to tell you we’re going out tonight, with my old friends and I was going to take you with us.” Pippa looked at her friend, she was worried if Mirah spent more time with Kai, he would get into her mind and either get her to tell him what she was, or he would charm her. And Pippa wouldn’t let either of those happen.

Mirah watched as Kai left the room but she chose not to say anything to him instead her eyes followed him as he exited closing the door behind him. And just like that Pippa was onto her. Questioning her.

"He... He wants to be friends? A team? I don't know it didn't make a lot of sense... he didn't touch me if that was what you were worried about but he definitely knows there is something different about me. Pippa what did he mean use up all your energy what is going on with you." she asked stepping toward her friend. The male that had a hold on her dropped his hand and instantly became interested in what she was asking too.

"Yeah Pippa what's going on?" Mirah knew that with both of them onto her and questioning her she was bound to break and tell what was going on with her.

"Pippa please no secrets, I have told you everything about me and we made a promise never to keep secrets from one and other. Whatever it is we can work this out." she turned her attention to Tyler she knew he was on the same page as her they just had to get her to talk.

"I would love to go out tonight with your friends... I..." she stopped maybe tonight wouldn't be the night she would find out what was going on with her friend. However as long as she did find out in the end she would be happy. A thought went through her mind that if her friend didn't tell her she may have to do the extreme and seek out Kai. He knew what was going on if it was anything serious perhaps he could be the one to help her.

Pippa frowned as she looked at Mirah, “Why would he want to be a team? Does he want you to help him kill his siblings?” She asked in shock, surely, he wouldn’t. He seemed to be the type of person who would want to do all the dirty work himself, she knew that Mirah would never agree to something that horrific.

She watched as her friend moved closer to her, she felt Tyler’s hand leave her arm as her eyes moved between them. She didn’t want to worry them, she hadn’t told Mirah because Pippa couldn’t find anything to save her. She had searched through every spell book and her family’s grimoire, but there was nothing out there that could help her.

Pippa didn’t want anyone to know that she couldn’t be saved, “I’ll tell you. But please, just not tonight. All I want to do is go out and have some fun, I will tell you both.” She promised as she wanted to go out, see her friends, drink booze, dance and have a fun time. “After what happened today, I think we deserve to have a night out at a bar.” Her eyes landed on Mirah, she needed to have some fun as well.

Let her hair down and just enjoy herself, drink until she actually felt the effects of the alcohol in her system. It had been a while since they had gone out and enjoyed themselves, and if Pippa was dying then she needed this night to forget about everything.

"I don't know why he would want the two of us to be a team, but he knows there is something different about me, he just doesn't know what yet... I want to try and keep that from him for as long as possible but he has ways of finding out things... all he has to do is touch me and he will find out what I am." and that was the truth Mirah knew the consequences of getting in close proximity of Kai and she would have to try and avoid it as best she could.

"Alright, as long as you promise to tell the two of us soon... I won't push you and we can go out tonight and have a good night. It has been too long since I have been able to party. I am sure it is vastly different from the last time I had done it but I am willing to learn the ways of you modern kids," Mirah laughed at her friend.

"Alright, I will see you at say seven and then all three of us can go to the club together," Tyler said. Automatically without thinking the male pressed his lips to Pippa's cheek before walking out. The fact that it felt so normal so perfect made him smile to himself.

"Alright then my dear, I suppose it is time we dress up and enjoy tonight," Mirah stated before turning and walking toward her wardrobe before she began to go through her clothes. Deciding what she had that she could possibly wear to a nightclub.

“As long as he doesn’t find out about you, I can only imagine what he could do if he did.” Pippa didn’t want to think about the destruction Kai would cause if he found out how to constantly have magic for himself, she nodded her head as she would tell them what was going on. Now wasn’t the right time for it.

Pippa felt Tyler’s lips press to her cheek and it felt like nothing had changed, she hadn’t felt the tingles that she was now from having Tyler back in her life. She knew he was her true love, she just never thought she’d get a second chance at it. Watching him leave, she looked back at Mirah.

“Wear something cute, you never know who you’ll meet.” She grinned as Pippa stepped into their shared bathroom, looking at herself in the mirror she decided to curl her hair and pull it into a messy bun.

She then fixed her makeup before stepping back into the dorm, she opened her closest and looked through her clothes until she found a dress.

“Mirah, do you want to see Kai again? We’ve never found another siphoner before,” She asked quietly as she undressed and pulled the dress over her body, she could understand if Mirah wanted to talk to Kai more and find out more about him. But at the same time, it scared Pippa because of the type of person he was.

Mirah could understand her friends concern for her well being and she was so happy to have her in her life, Pippa was always protective of her and that was one of the reasons she felt so comfortable around her. After hers of taunting and ridiculing Pippa was one of the few people that was nice to her. Mirah returned the favour by having a fierce loyalty to the girl as well as a strong protective side of her. The elder vampire looked at her friend as she pulled out her dress.

"Thank you for your concern Pippa you know it means so much to me... But I really do want to see Kai again, He is the first siphoner I have seen in years. Yes he is a little on the disturbing side but there has to be a good reason he is like that, us siphoners are always frowned upon, some of us are treated like animals, beaten and abused because we aren't normal. There is a pain in him Pippa I saw it, it was something I could relate to, even after all these years Siphoners are still treated like dirt. I know it probably sounds ludicrous that I am sympathetic toward him but I know his pain, maybe not all of it or maybe more... but I want to talk to him... I want to find out as much as I can about him."

Mirah continued to search through her closet until she pulled out a white flowing gown, it was a long dress that touched the floor, it may not have been the best choice for a party but she decided to go with it.

"But not tonight, tonight is about you and your friends... And we are going to enjoy the night and the early hours of the morning," she stated before slipping the dress over her head.

Also I might skip Tyler until we get to the party scenes :))

Pippa listened to what Mirah was saying and it did make sense to her, she had seen the ways it affected Mirah knowing that she was a rare species. That she didn’t really know anyone else like her, she may have tried to hide that pain away, but Pippa always saw it.

“I do get it, I understand why you’d want to see him again. But please… please be careful around him, I can’t lose you, Mirah. You’re the only family I have left,” Pippa sat down on her bed so she could put her heels on, her eyes watching her best friend, her sister. She didn’t trust Kai in the slightest, so if Mirah did want to speak with him then Pippa would make sure her friend never let her guard down.

“He’s more than just a little disturbing,” Pippa told her friend as she moved onto her jewellery next, why anyone would want to kill their entire family was beyond her. But then her parents had been amazing, she didn’t know what it was like to have a family that didn’t love their children unconditionally.

She also didn’t understand why siphoners were treated in the ways that Mirah had explained to her, it hadn’t been Mirah’s fault that she was born a witch without any magic of her own. Yet she was treated like garbage because of what she was.

“Yes, tonight is all about us. We’ll worry about Kai later, tonight we can drink and dance and no worry about anything.” Pippa smiled as she looked at her best friend, “And try not to make all the guys fall in love with you tonight. Unless they buy us drinks all night long,” She grinned as Mirah looked stunning in her dress, men always did fall over themselves when they saw Mirah. It did amuse Pippa as she liked watching men try to impress the vampire.

Mirah nodded her head, "I promise Pippa I will be careful I know what he is capable of believe me." she grabbed her friends hands in reassurance giving them a squeeze before turning back to her outfit. She was trying to get her hair to sit nicely in a bun. After several minutes of fussing she gave up letting it sit where it was. She grabbed her phone and car keys and small purse of the counter before heading out the door.

"Right now where are we meeting Tyler?" she asked unlocking her car and stepping in. Starting the engine she gave it a few revs before pulling out. She wondered if Kai would turn up the party a part of her prayed he didn't because she didn't know what would happen if he did but a small part of her really wanted him to. She wanted to talk to him about today ask him what the hell had just happened.

Tyler was ready for tonight, he was dressed casually in a pair of dark denim jeans, white v-neck shirt and a leather jacket. He was ready to let loose and have some fun with his friends and the girl he had spent so much of his time thinking about. He had decided that they wouldn't go to the Skull Bar instead they were going somewhere else. Just up the road it wasn't a normal night club from what he saw there was a mechanical bull in there and he could only imagine how much fun they were going to have with a few drinks in their systems.

Heading over there now :) he sent the message to Pippa hoping her and Mirah wouldn't be too far away. He also hoped that Kai wouldn't show his face otherwise things were going to get messy

Pippa looked at her friend, she knew that Mirah could handle herself. It was just hard for Pippa to stay out of this, she would do anything to protect her friend. Grabbing her phone, she smiled as she sent Tyler a message back asking for the name of place they were going.

She followed Mirah outside to her car before she climbed inside, “The club is on Whiting Street.” She told Mirah once Tyler had replied to her, she was glad they were going off campus as there was less of a chance that Kai would find them. Or at least, that is what Pippa hoped.

“Oh, that looks like it.” Pippa pointed out the window when she saw the club, she waited until Mirah parked her car before she climbed out. She smoothed her dress out as she walked over to Tyler who was waiting outside for them, “Hey.” She smiled at him, he seemed to get better looking each time she saw him. Because he was looking hot tonight, it made her heart ache as she wasn’t sure what would happen with them.

“Oh my god! Pippa!” Caroline’s voice hit her ears as her old friend stepped out of the club, the blonde vampire rushing over and wrapping her arms around the girl. “We have so much to catch up on… oh hi, I’m Caroline.” She smiled as her eyes caught sight of a girl she didn’t know, she couldn’t believe that Pippa had gotten caught up in the supernatural mess that seemed to rule their lives now.

“Hi Caroline, this is my best friend Mirah. Mirah, this is Caroline.” She introduced them as she glanced back to Mirah, she had already told her about the friends she had in school. She was happy Mirah would finally be able to meet them all, and hopefully she would let a few more people into her life. But Pippa wasn’t holding her breath, she knew Mirah had mostly been on her own since before they met.

“Come on, you have to see Elena and Bonnie again.” Caroline smiled as she pulled Pippa inside the building, music and voices filled the room. Pippa looked over her shoulder to make sure that Tyler and Mirah were following, she couldn’t do this on her own. If she had to suffer through Caroline’s millions of questions then so did they.

Mirah stepped out the car and followed Pippa, the female saw Tyler standing by the door dressed in his normal jeans and dark jacket with a v-neck shirt. She greeted Tyler before a blonde appeared beside Pippa. She was seemed to be very bubbly person full of smiles, Mirah also picked up that she wasn't human.

"Hello Caroline," she greeted smiling widely at the blonde, she followed the three inside falling in step with Tyler. "How are you tonight Tyler?" the brunette asked as they entered the bar. She was quickly hit with a strong smell of alcohol and body sweat. Mirah's eyes followed her best friend as she moved toward a table with several other people. There were two other girls and two other males. One tall dark and handsome, the other had lighter brown hair and a serious look on his face.

Mirah made it to the table and took a seat silently while they all spoke to one and other catching up.

Tyler stood outside the bar for Pippa and Mirah to arrive, however his eyes were peeled for if Kai made an appearance it wasn't going to end well for him. Finally he saw Mirah pull up and a smile instantly spread across his face when he saw Pippa step out. She looked breath takingly beautiful, her blue dress looked striking on her.

"Hey Pip," he called walking up and wrapping his arms around her in a hug, that was until Caroline appeared and took her away from him, he chuckled but walked toward the entrance.

"Hey Mirah. I'm doing alright, how are you after what happened today?" the dark haired male watched as she shrugged her shoulders a smile spread across her face as her eyes watched Pippa catching up with her friends again. Elena, Bonnie, Damon and Stefan were all at the table. "Would you like me introduce to everyone?" he asked as he took a seat next to her.

"Sure," Mirah nodded her head.

"Everyone we have a guest, this is Mirah. Mirah, this is Elena, Bonnie, Damon, Stefan and you have met Caroline."

"Hello all," she greeted smiling widely. Tyler noticed how Damon was eyeing her suspiciously. However he was certain that Mirah could take him if he decided to make a scene.
