I played a couple more rounds of my game before calling it a night. I turned everything off before locking up the house and heading upstairs. I stripped to my boxers and did my business before getting into bed, wrapping an arm around Lexie.

I shook my head. “Forget it.” I said and got up. “I’m going to shower and go to bed.” I said. I headed for the stairs and took them up to our room. I never looked at Matt’s phone because I always had a voice in the back of my mind telling me he was talking to someone and I didn’t want to find that out one day.

Feeling the bed shift, I smiled slightly as I realized Brian was coming to bed. It was nice to go a night without fighting, of course we had barely said two words to each other, but it was okay.

Matt

The only thing I hated more than her arguing with me was when she walked away. I got up and followed her, "We're not doing this, you don't get to walk away when you want to try suggesting I'm talking to someone else." Grabbing her wrist and turning her around roughly, "Why are you always doing this?"

I leaned forward, kissing her neck softly, before burying my face into the crook of it. I closed my eyes as I let sleep take over me.

"Because girls are always talking to you, whether it's online or in person." I said, trying to pull away from him. "Let go of me, Matt." I said, looking up at him. I was afraid of him but I was also trying to stand up to him and not let it show. I don't think I was doing a very good job though.

It wasn't long after Brian fell asleep, that I did the same. Even though we hadn't spent much time together today, this time was nice.

"You act like every girl that says something to me is trying to get in my pants," I kept my grip on her for a moment, "Quit trying to start shit." I said letting go as she got to the top of the stairs, pushing past her and going to the bedroom.

I followed Matt into our room. “I’m not trying to start anything, Matt. You cheated on me once so I think I have every right to be concerned or worried.” I said. He had cheated on me once, but it was a few years ago right around the start of our relationship but ever since then I had been a tiny bit paranoid.

"That was one time, and I would never do it again," I told her, turning around to look at her. It was starting to bother me that she still brought up my mistake, "I may do a lot of things, but I wouldn't cheat on you again."

“You shouldn’t have cheated on me in the first place.” I snapped. “And then you didn’t even have the balls to tell me, I had to find out from one of your friends, so excuse me for having some sort of paranoia whenever I see you paying more attention to your phone than me.” I said, before going into the bathroom

I was so beyond sick of hearing about everything I did wrong, turning away from the door I grabbed one of the glass frames from the dresser I threw it across the room and watched as it shattered. Sitting on the edge of the bed, I put my head in my hands for a minute.
