Everett quickly looked down at his lesson plan. “Write what’s on the board” he said, trying to hide the fact he was uncomfortable. Zoe didn’t tell him she was in high school that meant she was a minor. He didn’t know what to think or do as he sat down in his chair. His phone was in his lap. you didn’t tell me you were in highschool” he sent to her.

Zoe looked down at her phone from behind her pencil case and typed quickly writing down what was on the board as she did so. You didn't tell me you were a teacher. I turn 18 next month. She finished up writing what was on the board crossing her arms over her chest ignoring a kid that was hitting on her in class. Finally getting sick of him treating her like a piece of meat she turned around emerald eyes narrowed. "Drop dead." She hissed. He smirked and smacked her butt when she turned around. Zoe turned around about to kill him.

Everett read the text, feeling relief wash over him when she said she would be 18 soon. He was torn about what to do tho. The truth was that he was falling for her already but he knew he could get fired for having relationships with a student. Not to mention he could also get arrested if her parents happened to find out. He was about to text back when he heard Zoe. He snapped at the student who slapped Zoe’s ass. “That will not be tolerated. Go to the principal’s office” he said to the kid before looking at Zoe. The kid walked out of the classroom pissed off.

Zoe looked up hearing Everett snap and hid the smile on her face before sitting down meeting his eyes before looking away knowing she needed to treat him like she did every other teacher when she was around other people. She switched her face to look annoyed but texted him gently. Thanks. Also, I will be seeing you after school today in your classroom. Just a heads up. So don't leave. We need to talk, I think. She set her phone down before looking out the window propping her chin up with her hand causing her lips to go into a sort of pouty look as she did so. She sighed for a moment knowing that she had never inteded to get into this kind of a situation, especially not with her home life. She had just wanted something that wasn't complicated and she had thought he was it.

Everett looked at his phone when he heard it buzz. He read the text before responding. Yes we do need to talk and okay. he sent before getting up. He started today’s lesson, trying not to stare at Zoe. He knew he had to be careful so the other students wouldn’t notice. He didn’t want either of them to get into trouble.

Zoe read the text before sending back a simple okay. She then put her phone away resting her chin on her hand and yawned softly watching as he taught the lesson trying to make sure she paid attention to the lesson and not how cute he was. She smiled softly before wiping it from her face and frowning at the work. She looked down at the book and started to answer questions. Soon enough the bell rang and she sighed collecting her things and standing up. She gave him a polite smile knowing that she couldn’t do anything else. She carried on with her day. When the school day was over she waited a bit before going into his classroom sighing heavily and sitting down on his desk.

Everett had to try his damnest not to get caught staring at Zoe as he taught the lesson. He would catch glances when the class was working. There was a part of him that felt bad about this. He should have been more responsible. Now they were in bit of a pickle, thankfully she was going to be 18 soon. When class was dismissed, he went on to teach classes until school was over. He waited in his classroom for Zoe. “Hi Zoe” he said softly unsure what he should say. He could tell she was still upset. “What do you want to do about this?” He asked her softly as he walked over to her, gently grabbing her hands.

"Hey, Everett." She murmured softly. She felt him take her hands and shook her head gently letting her cold hands get enveloped in his larger and warmer ones. "I don't know." She told him. "I know I don't want to get you in trouble though." She said frowning gently as she did so. It had been a long day of thinking and she had a bad feeling about this conversation feeling like he was going to be a responsible person and think with his head instead of his heart and tell her he didn't want this to continue and the only good thing going for her was going to get lost and she was just working herself up at this point. She shrugged and said, "I really didn't think it was important since I turn 18 soon." She promised him not wanting him to think that she had just hidden the truth from him. He had never asked, so she had never said.

Everett watched her as he waited for her answer. He wanted to listen to his head but his heart was louder right now, wanting to be with her. He stayed silent as he listened, letting her process her thoughts. Finally he spoke as he gently squeezed her hand. “We will be careful. I want to be part of your life.” He said, knowing he couldn’t just stop. “Are you okay with that?” He then asked softly.

Zoe looked down at her hands before looking up feeling him squeeze her hand and was shocked at his response. She felt tears start to form and she leaped up and hugged him wrapping her arms around his neck and nodded against his skin and murmured, "I would like that. Though, I'm pretty sure we'll have to stick to texting." She said smiling up at him lacing their fingers together as she did so. She sat back down on his desk wanting to just spend time with him, but knew she would have to get home soon to avoid any more punishment.

Everett hugged her when she jumped in his arms. He kissed her cheek and kept her close to him, not wanting to let her go. “That’s fine with me hun” he said softly. He then let her go when she moved before taking a seat next to her on his desk. His attention went to the clock. “Do you need to go home soon?” He asked, not wanting her to get in trouble.

Zoe was so happy at the moment and just smiled feeling him kiss her cheek and looked up at him kissing him softly before sighing and letting her head fall onto his shoulder. "It'll be worth it." She laughed, knowing he had no idea the kind of trouble she would get into. She still meant what she said about it being worth it. She smiled again and said, "How was the rest of your day? Oh, and sorry about this morning with that guy." She told him frowning softly as she did so.

Everett kissed her back, holding on to her tightly. He didn't want to let her go. "It was alright. I missed you and its okay" he said before kissing her head gently. "Do you think we could go get a bite to eat and I can give you a ride home?" he asked her softly.

"That's good and I msised you too." Zoe whispered with a smile glad that he had missed her. She smiled happily hearing his words and said, "Yes, but you'll have to drop me off about a block away." She explained. She grinned at him before hopping up and taking his hands happily.

Everett smiled. "I have no problem dropping you off a block from your house" he said. He never wanted her to get in trouble for hanging out with him. "Then lets go gorgeous" he said before letting her out before him. He didn't want to raise suspensions so he waited a couple of minutes before walking out. He then made way his to car, knowing Zoe would meet him there.

Zoe laughed and gave him a grin. "Thanks!" She told him softly. She smiled adn hopped down before heading out of the room. She headed to his car gently waiting beside it before smiling and getting in it. She buckled up tossing her backpack in the backseat and sighed softly befre yawning for a moment. "Where d you want to eat?" she questioned with a grin. She wondered if he was going to want to have some fun in the car as well or not. She didn't know if he was like that or not. She secretly hoped he was.

Everett walked out to the car, letting her in before getting in himself. “Ladies choice” he said watching her. He then started the car before pulling out of the parking lot. His free hand laid on her thigh as he began drive towards town.

Zoe smiled softly and thought to herself before saying a place that was a little out of the way but knew no one would recognize either of them in there. She didn't want to hide when she was with him, but knew for certain reasons she would have to. She smiled softly feeling his hand on her thigh. It was nice to see him again.

Everett smiled as he drove, heading to the restaurant that she named. He kept his hand on her thigh. He qently squeezed it before looking over at her. “What is on your mind beautiful?” He asked as he turned his gaze back on the road.

Zoe smiled softly before looking back over at him knowing she couldn't tell him what was on her mind. She had made sure to wear full jeans today so that no one would be able to see the bruises on her body. "Just thinking about random stuff." She admitted to him.
