Everett could tell she wasn't telling him the whole truth. He gently squeezed his thigh again. "Babe please be honest with me" he said softly as he pulled into the restaurant parking lot. He shut the car off and turned to look at her.

Zoe gave him a shrug. "Just family. It's personal." She told him softly turning her emerald eyes to look into his and hoped he understood that. She got out of the car shutting the door and stretching a little. She smiled taking his hand as they headed into the restaurant.

Everett nodded when she said its personal, deciding to not push it. He got out and grabbed her hand. A smile was on his face as he walked with her. He knew this was bad but he couldn't help it, he was in love with her. Once inside he walked to a table and pulled out a chair for her before sitting down himself.

Zoe smiled at him happily and laced their fingers happily as they walked inside. She looked around making sure no one she knew was there. She thanked him for pulling out her chair. She sat down and started to look at the menu asking for a Dr. Pepper before looking back over her menu. "What are you going to get?" She asked loooking up at him happily.

Everett ordered a coke and looked at the menu. "I think I am going to get the double cheeseburger with fries. What about you?" He asked her as he placed his menu down. His hand went and gently grabbed hers, rubbing his fingers over her knuckles.

Zoe heard his words and nodded her head her hair bouncing lightly across her shoulders as she turned her emerald eyes to look at him. "Probably chicken tenders." She laughed knowing she would need to eat all of it since she didn't know when her parents would feed her. She smiled feeling his fingers on her knuckles.

Everett watched her, couldn't believe how beautiful she was. He was happy that she agreed to be with him. He couldn't help but feel worried. "Babe, please be honest with me. What's going on with your parents?" he asked, wanting to make sure she was okay and if she wasn't, he was going to do everything in his power to fix it.

Zoe smiled at him before hearing his words. Her smile dropped a little before she shook her head. "Nothing, they're just a little strict." She promised him. She knew she had to keep the truth from him. She'd be free from her house soon, so she didn't need to worry too much. "They're fine." She told him.

Everett watched her as she spoke. He could tell she was keeping something but didn’t want to push it. “Okay but If you ever need anything please let me know.” He said gently squeezing her hand once more.

Zoe was glad that he let it go adn smiled nodding her haed. "I will." She promised happily holding his hand looking up when the food got there. She let go of his hand and started to eat with him making conversation as they did so.

Everett smiled and began to eat his food. He talked with her in between bites. "So anything in particular you want to do tonight darling?" he asked with a charming smile before taking a sip of his soda. He loved Zoe and he would do anything to protect her as well as make her happy.

Zoe smiled at him and thought about it before saying, "I really wish I could, this weekend, I promise. My parents want me home by a certain time." She told him before grinning, "Which I'm already breaking to see you." She laughed sipping on her drink before finishing her food.
