“I know,” Artemis mumbled. “Before everything happened with Zack I had kind of been hoping you would have been the one to take my virginity.” She knew it was something kind of silly to admit but it had been true. She had wanted them to share that special moment together.

Matt looked up at Fae, teasingly kissing closer to her entrance. He slid his fingers over her entrance, groaning out in approval when he felt how wet she already was. “You’re already so ready for me,” he smirked. He pressed a kiss right on her warmth, grazing his fingers against her clit before he began using his tongue to make slow teasing circles around the little bundle of nerves.

Johnny looked up at her in surprise, not believing what she’d said. “Really?” he mumbled, totally caught off guard. He was surprised she’d wanted him over Zack. He was nothing compared to the vampire, so he kind of almost didn’t want to believe her. But he knew she wouldn’t lie to him.

Fae moaned when he finally touched her, surprised at the feeling of his tongue on her. She bit her lip hard, looking down and watching him. He seemed to be so good at what he was doing, it made her wonder how many people he’d been with before. But that was really none of her business. And she wouldn’t ask about it, because she felt like that was rude. “That feels so good,” she encouraged.

“I wanted to share something special with you because I knew no matter what happened you would always cherish us having such a special bond,” Artemis replied. She knew it sounded silly and seemed kind of hard to believe but she meant everything she was telling him. “I knew if it had been you I lost my virginity to I would never regret it.” If she was being completely honest with herself a part of her hated how she lost her virginity with Zack.

“You like that baby,” Matt smirked. He looked up, making eye contact with Fae when she said what he was doing felt good. “Just wait,” he chuckled. “I’m just getting started.” Matt pressed a kiss to the bundle of the nerves before he began teasing his tongue around it and her entrance, savoring how sweet she tasted. He honestly planned on eating her out often if she always tasted so good. It was honestly one of the only reasons he usually steered clear of doing it.

Johnny smiled as he picked his bass up and walked inside Brian’s house. He and Brian were going to be playing in the parade with the rest of the band, and he was just waiting for Brian to finish getting ready. He took his phone out as he sat on the couch, sending a text to Artemis. They’d had sex at her house the last week, and ever since then, they’d basically been inseparable. He was just glad that Jimmy hadn’t been around much to whine about it. You’re still coming to the parade, right?

Fae smiled as she watched Matt get ready for the parade, since he’d be in the float with the rest of the football players. She wished she could be there with him, but since she wasn’t a cheerleader, she couldn’t be. She didn’t even want to think about joining the team. She didn’t want to be around those kind of people. “You’re gonna look so good up there,” she said, standing up off his bed and walking over, gently running her arm down the sleeve of his team jacket.

Artemis climbed into her car, looking down at her phone and grinned when she saw she had a text from Johnny. She had gotten extremely close to him and she found herself more inseparable from him than she felt like she had been with Jimmy. Heading over now so I can get a good seat. I want to be front and center to see you play. The brunette drive to wear the parade was going to be set up, walking around as she tried to find the perfect spot for her and Fae to sit.

“You could always sneak on and be with me on the float,” Matt replied. He knew Artemis would be with Fae if she said no but he honestly wanted her by his side. They still hadn’t found Apollo, Zack had just reappeared and Jimmy was still following Pierce around like a mindless zombie. He wanted the blonde to be completely and totally save and the one place he was always sure she was by his side. “You could always just hang out on my shoulder,” he joked.

Johnny smiled when he read Artemis’s text, immediately replying to it. Awesome. I’m just waiting for Brian to finish getting ready. You know how he is. We should be there soon. He was so excited to be able to play in front of her for the first time. Sure, she might not be able to fully hear him very well, but he was still excited to show off in front of her. He looked up when Brian finally came downstairs with his guitar. “Come on, man, let’s go!” he chirped, jumping up.

Fae giggled softly, shaking her head. “I’d love to, but I owe it to Artemis to be by her side,” she said. “I’m trying my hardest to get back on her good side again and besides, I don’t think your coach or the cheerleaders would approve. But I’ll be on the sideline cheering you on.” She moved in front of him and leaned up, kissing his lips softly. Ever since they’d had sex, she felt a lot closer to him than she had before. And her feelings for him had grown even stronger.

Artemis found what she thought was the perfect spot, sitting down and began toying with a game on her phone to kill the time. She was extremely nervous about being alone before the parade started but since there were still adults around she hoped Jimmy, Pierce and anyone else who messed with her wouldn’t be stupid enough to. She still hadn’t talked to Jimmy since he had tried to rape her and she honestly didn’t think she’d ever want to. She felt guilty about what she had done to him and disgusted by what he had tried to do to her.

“I’m coming,” Brian chuckled. “Some of us like making an effort to look good.” He walked down his stairs, guitar case sling over his shoulder and his car keys in his hand. “So is your human watching us perform,” he asked. He knew Matt would be on the football float and unless he could convince Fae to stay with him Fae would probably be watching the parade right besides Artemis.

“Babe she and I have talked and she doesn’t blame you,” Matt stated. “Jimmy knew damn well he crossed a line and you ended up being dragged into it.” He pecked her lips, sighing softly when he ran his fingers through her hair. “I really want you up there with me but I understand that you want to be with Artemis.” He and the brunette had become closer in the time Zack had disappeared and he had come to understand Artemis in a way he never really expected to. “You’re her only girl friend she has and she told me that yesterday,” Matt stated. “I doubt anything has changed since then.”

Johnny scoffed and rolled his eyes at Brian’s words. He liked to make himself look good too, he just didn’t take three hours to do so. He frowned, following him out the door. “She has a name, you know,” he said. “Yes, Artemis will be there. And I’m sure Fae will be there too. Don’t think I haven’t noticed the way you look at her. She’s taken, you know. And if Matt turns all wolfy and attacks you, don’t look at me to save you.”

Fae sighed, knowing that if Artemis had said all that, then Matt was right. But she still felt guilty, because it wasn’t all Jimmy’s fault. She was there too. She smiled at him and nodded her head. “I know she’s been getting close with Johnny, but after what Jimmy did to her, I really think she just needs some girl time, you know?” she murmured. She gently touched his cheek and pecked his lips before taking his hand. “Come on, we’ll be late.”

Artemis sighed softly as she finished playing a level on her Disney emoji blitz app, looking around when she noticed more of her classmates started showing up. She noticed a few football players were already starting to show which meant Pierce and his gang would be wandering around soon enough as well.

“Don’t get me wrong Johnny,” Brian mumbled. “Artemis is alright for being a human and all but I just don’t want you getting hurt by her.” The demon had heard rumors from other demons that Zack had reappeared and was probably going to be at the homecoming dance tomorrow. “I heard rumors that Zack is back and I don’t want you heartbroken because she ran back to the leech.” Of course Brian had nothing against Zack personally but he knew how the vampire felt about Artemis and he didn’t doubt it would cause Johnny problems now that he was back. Brian led Johnny to his car, getting their stuff inside it and began driving.

Matt pecked Fae’s lips one more time, taking her hand and leading her to his car. Everyone except Artemis was essentially carpooling together and Matt was sure if Zack was still around he would have been going with the brunette. The werewolf was honestly a little worried about his friend. He had heard what had happened from Artemis but Zack had yet to contact him. Matt just hoped Zack showed up soon because he missed his best friend a lot.

Johnny shook his head. “She wouldn’t hurt me,” he said. “She was never as close with Zack as she is with me right now. And she told me she wanted to lose her virginity to me. Zack just got in the way.” Right? He shook his head, not wanting to have any doubts or second thoughts. Artemis really liked him, and he really liked her. And Zack coming back wouldn’t change that. He’d fed from her and run away, there was no way she’d even consider letting him back in, right? Right. Once they got to where the rest of the band was gathering, he got out of the car and walked with Brian to get in line. He knew he wouldn’t see Artemis for a little bit, and the longer the time passed, the more anxious and excited he got.

Fae got in the car with Matt, taking his hand in hers and gently tracing the lines on the palm of his hand with her finger as he drove. She looked up at the sky, noticing it wasn’t as bright as it usually was, and that was because the weather was starting to change. It was almost November, and it was getting colder outside and the days were shortening. While she loved the snow, winter was probably her least favorite season because it was hard for her family to keep their crops alive, since they basically lived off them. Sometimes her mom was even forced to go to the store to buy produce, which she hated doing.

Artemis purposely grabbed a spot on the parade route close to where she knew everyone that was going to be on floats would line up by. She looked around grinning widely when she saw Johnny. She saw Brian had a look of annoyance on his face, his look changing to one of amusement when she stuck her tongue out at him. She had learned quickly that Brian enjoyed being caught off guard with greetings and sometimes she would just flip him off while passing by him in the hallways just to make him laugh. “Hey Johnny,” she grinned. “Are you excited?”

Brian felt bad for making Johnny doing Artemis’s feelings but he honestly just didn’t want his friend to get hurt. He had never seen Johnny like a girl as much as he did the brunette and if anything he hoped Artemis would tell Zack to go fuck himself if he showed up at the dance. He glanced up, spotting Artemis before Johnny did, chuckling when she stuck her tongue out at him. “Come to give me a good luck kiss,” he teased.

“Are you excited for the weather to start changing,” Matt asked. “Or does it kind of ruin your mom’s garden when it gets colder?” The werewolf didn’t know much about gardening but he could only assume the cold and gloom of winter probably affected crops growing a bit.

Johnny heard his name and turned, grinning when he saw Artemis. “Hey,” he greeted, nodding his head at her question. He made a face at what Brian said, reaching up to playfully shove his friend. “You can go away now,” he joked, but was also half serious. He leaned over and gently pressed a kiss to Artemis’s cheek. He wasn’t sure if she was into PDA or not, but he still wanted to be affectionate with her. “I’m really excited for you to see me play. I know it’s not the perfect setting, but hopefully you can get an idea.”

“I do love the snow,” Fae said. “But yeah, it definitely puts a damper on Mom’s garden. I like the longer nights, too. Sometimes my parents wonder if I even have any fairy traits in me because I’m so different than a typical fairy.” But that was okay, because she liked being different. When they arrived at the parade, she climbed out of the car, hating to have to say goodbye to him. But he had to get ready, and she didn’t want to be a distraction. She leaned up and kissed his lips softly. “Be careful, okay? You have to be in tip top shape for the game tonight.”

Artemis blushed when Brian mentioned giving him a good luck kiss. She smiled when Johnny gave her a peck on the cheek, wrapping her arms around his neck and pecked his lips. “I’m sure you guys will kill it out there,” she beamed. “I mean I personally know the bassist and I hear he’s the best one out there.” She hadn’t heard Johnny play yet technically but Brian praised him enough behind his back that she knew he had to be good because she knew Brian was amazing with his guitar. “You two are going to kick ass out there.”

Brian chuckled when Artemis blushed and Johnny playfully shoved him. He raised his hands up in fake surrender, a little surprised when the brunette pecked Johnny’s lips. He had never expected her to be okay with personal displays of affection but he honestly hadn’t expected several things from Artemis that had happened. Brian honestly hoped she proved him wrong again and picked Johnny over Zack. When the brunette said they were going to kill it performing he couldn’t help but smirk. “Of course we are,” he replied. “I’m playing after all.”

“Maybe I can build her a green house,” Matt offered. “That way she can still grow stuff somewhere she can keep things warmer than outside when it starts snowing.” He wasn’t sure if that would actually be helpful but he figured he’d offer anyways. When the blonde told him to be careful a dimple grin formed on his face. “Of course I’ll be careful,” he promised. “All I’m doing is standing and waving on a parade float.”

Johnny blushed slightly, looking down. He already felt a lot better to know that Artemis was there rooting for him. He rolled his eyes at Brian’s cockiness, wondering if he ever really had a limit. Probably not. His ego was already the size of Canada, he wasn’t sure how much bigger it could get. “Maybe on Sunday, I can come over and play for you with no other distractions, so you can really hear me,” he suggested, wanting to really show Artemis how good he was without having the band to back him up.

Fae smiled. “You don’t have to do that, Matt,” she said. “You’re really too sweet.” She grinned, reaching up to poke his dimple. He was honestly so adorable, she just wanted to pinch his cheeks and never let go. She leaned up and pecked his lips. “I know, but I worry about you. Pierce is on the team, and with everything going on, it just makes me nervous. There’s something much bigger going on here.” She spotted Johnny, Brian and Artemis by the rest of the band, smiling. She wanted to take Matt over there, but she heard his coach call his name, and she frowned. “I guess you should go now.”

Artemis grinned, excited to have Johnny play for her. “I’d like that a lot,” she replied. “Are you still coming over tonight after the game,” she asked. The brunette had invited Johnny over after the football game so they could just go to homecoming the next day together. Plus Johnny had mentioned he was struggling with his bowtie and the brunette knew enough about them from being around her brother and her dad she knew how to make it work.

”Your first sleepover,” Brian teased. “Make sure you two wrap it before going crazy all night.” Of course the demon didnt’t even know if Johnny and Artemis had even had sex yet. All he knew was that Artemis had lost her virginity to Zack, regretted it and had wished she and Johnny lost their virginities together.

“They need me if they want to win the game,” Matt stated. “I doubt Pierce would fuck himself over with potential college scouts just to get me.” Of course that was assuming there were even going to be scouts recruiting at the game. Matt pecked Fae’s lips, smiling as he pulled away. “I promise I’ll be safe,” he stated. “Now go have fun with Artemis.”

Johnny rolled his eyes at Brian’s words, really wishing he could just punch his friend. But he knew if he ever tried that, Brian would kick his ass, and would never let him forget it. “Yeah,” he said, turning his attention completely on Artemis. “My parents said it’s cool. They trust me.” He was lucky to have such trusting and supportive parents, they were literally the best. While his mom was worried about him possibly getting into trouble with Artemis, she also knew just how responsible he was, and that he wouldn’t do anything stupid. And honestly, they were both just happy that Johnny had finally found a girl he liked, and that she liked him back.

Fae smiled and nodded her head. She bit her lip gently, leaning up and pressing her lips to his ear. “I love you,” she murmured, hoping she wasn’t overstepping any boundaries. She didn’t expect him to say it back, but she wanted to say it. She did love him, as a person, as a friend, and as her boyfriend. And she was falling in love with him, faster than she had expected. So much for taking things slow. She didn’t wait for him to respond, slightly afraid he might not. She let go of his hand and quickly walked away to be with Artemis. She walked over and stood next to her. “Hey guys,” she greeted.

Artemis was honestly glad Johnny’s parents trusted him. She hadn’t met them yet but she honestly hoped that when she did she would make a good impression on them. The last thing she wanted was his parents thinking she was horrible or a bad influence on Johnny. Artemis honestly saw herself being around everyone in her new group of friends for a very long time so if she could manage to have everyone’s parents like her it would definitely be a big plus. When Fae walked over the brunette smiled at her and greeted her back. “Hey. Ready to have some fun?”

Brian watched quietly as Artemis and Johnny interacted. The brunette genuinely seemed to like his friend and he hoped they got a happy ending or whatever could be considered a happy ending in their world. When Fae walked over the demon couldn’t help but smile. Johnny was right in saying he had feelings for her. He knew it was wrong to especially since she was dating Matt but he couldn’t help himself. She was just so perfect.

Matt grinned widely as Fae walked away. He wanted to grab her and tell her he loved her too but was roughly grabbed by the sleeve of his varsity jacket and tugged in the direction of the football float by his coach. Matt only half listened as the man being yelling at him about keeping his head in the game and not being distracted which made Matt roll his eyes. They were undefeated this season so he obviously had his head in the game.

Johnny smiled at Artemis, looking over when the band instructor called everyone to get into place. “You two should go sit,” he said. “We’ll see you when we pass.” He picked his bass up and got it hooked up, standing beside Brian. He smiled at his friend, feeling slightly cocky that he’d managed to prove Brian wrong about Artemis’s feelings towards him. But there was still Zack.

Fae grinned, nodding her head. She took Artemis’s hand and walked with her to where their seats were, sitting down. “Thank you for bringing chairs,” she said. “I should have thought of that.” She looked over as the band began to play, and the parade started to move down the street, led by a group of adorable little baton twirlers. “Oh my goodness, they’re so cute!”

Artemis pecked Johnny’s lips one last time before she and Fae went to go sit down. She was excited to see Johnny perform because she could tell he loved it. She honestly hoped he and Brian would form the band they wanted to and made it big. She would of course support them anyway she could if they agreed to it. Artemis say down besides Fae, grinning at how excited she seemed by everything. It made her happy to see Fae genuinely happy because of all the shit she had been through.

“Her eyes sparkle when she’s around you,” Brian stated. “I never saw them do that when she was around Zack.” He was being honest with his friend too. He could have sworn Artemis’s eyes would flash neon blue anytime she was around the vampire though. It made him wonder if the human was actually fully human.

Matt got on the float, rolling his eyes when Veronica and the rest of the cheerleaders started gossiping once everyone was settled. “I’m telling you Veronica he’s back and he’s probably going to beg that disgusting human to take him back,” Talia stated. “He didn’t even believe me when I told him she was fucking Johnny now.” The werewolves eyebrows furrowed and he walked over to the girls. “Are you talking about Zack,” he asked. “Maybe,” Heather answered.

Johnny walked alongside Brian, looking for Artemis. When he spotted her, he grinned, although his cheeks were flushed bright red from how nervous he was. He just hoped he didn’t fuck up, because if he did, everyone would hear it from the amp that was set up on the float that was riding behind the band. He looked down at his bass, wishing he could just look at Artemis, but he needed to focus if he wanted to do well. And it was especially difficult with all the noise going on around them.

“There’s Johnny!” Fae exclaimed. She looked back at Artemis, smiling to herself when she saw just how much love and adoration was in her eyes, for Johnny. She really cared about him. She looked back and looked back further, seeing the cheerleading float not far behind the rest of the band. As the float passed her and Artemis, one of the girls, Veronica, threw a handful of candy directly at Fae, hitting her square in the face with it, and then giggling with her friends about it. Fae gasped and reached up to hold her cheek, glaring at the girls. Did they do that because they knew she was with Matt?
