Alex nodded, "Night." He muttered. He laid there, closing his eyes. He fell asleep quickly, sleeping quietly. He woke up the next morning to the sun in his eyes. He sat up, rubbing the back of his neck. He looked at Claire, knowing that her brother had to make a decision. He sighed as he laid back.

Makenna smiled, "Yea I kind of hope he drowns or something." She said, laughing. She watched as he laid down next to her. She knew she could go back to her own room, but she didn't want to. She closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep. She woke up the next morning, snuggled up to Raine.

Claire hummed softly in response watching the moon and giving a soft smile ignoring her impending doom for at least a couple of minutes. Finally, after who knows how long, she drifted to sleep. Jumping when she heard banging on the door, she turned her eyes to look at Alex before standing up and getting into the chair not wanting him to get in trouble for her. She put the rope around her to make it seem like she was still tied up and blinked looking at the door.

Raine laughed before saying, "His fat ass would definitely sink the moment he was thrown into the water, so it's likely to happen." He teased. He closed his eyes letting his cheek fall against the pillow before chuckling when she snuggled into him. In the night he had ended up having his arm snake around her waist pulling her closer. He woke up to the sun and blinked groaning when he as well heard the banging. He knew it was coming from a floor below and groaned once more.

Alex opened the door, frowning when he seen his boss looking at him. "Time's up." He said, "Bring the bitch downstairs." He said. Alex looked at Claire once he walked away, then grabbed her arm. "Let's go." He said. He walked down to the bar, setting her in the chair in the middle of the room.

Butch walked around Claire for a moment, "Looks like your brother doesn't give a fuck about you." He said. "Alright so I am going to let you choose your fate because i am feeling generous. You can either join our gang and do what I say when I say it or you can die." He said, pulling his pistol out and pointing it at her. "You have ten seconds to decide." He said.

Makenna frowned when she felt Raine moving, "Why the fuck are people awake?" She muttered. She got up with him and got dressed, pulling on a pair of jeans and a tank top. She walked downstairs with him, seeing Butch yelling at Claire. She stood behind Raine as they heard him give her the option to stay. Makenna bit her bottom lip lightly as they waited for Claire to answer him.

Claire heard Butch tell him to bring the bitch downstairs and felt anger boil up within her and sighed as she felt him grab her arm before pratically throwing her down into a chair in the room. She watched him before looking at the end of the barrel. She mulled over her options for a minute before saying, "Fine." She looked into his eyes without flinching knowing she already had the resolve to do this. She refused to let any of them see that she was scared and pissed the fuck off. "I need to go take care of something first." She told him knowing he would probably have a watch dog on her at all times as it was. She needed to go pay her brother a visit. She looked back at Butch waiting for his response. She needed to go see her brother, and then she needed to see if she would still be allowed to stay at her place or if she would have to live in the place where everyone else did. She didn't understand why he would want her in his gang to begin with.

Raine muttered back, "I don't know, but I think I'm going to kill someone." He didn't bother pulling a shirt on as he hopped out of bed and downstairs to see Butch yelling at Claire. He was surprised to see the look Claire had on her face even after what Butch had done to her the previous night. He sighed shaking his head knowing for a fact that Alex was going to have to go with her since he was her baby sitter. He shrugged and turned around to go upstairs when someone called his name. He turned around annoyed, "What?" "Who's that bitch?" Someone asked. Raine laughed shaking his head. "Why don't you ask her, and if I were you, I wouldn't call her a bitch again." "Oh what the fuck are you going to do, Raine?" Raine paused before glancing back. "Make no mistake, if I wanted you dead, you would be. She can take care of herself though." His voice had dropped as well as his features as he looked at the other person. There was a reason Raine took care of the docks.

Butch smirked, "Fine, but you take Alex with you. You will be staying here until I feel you are smart enough not to do something stupid." He said before he walked away from her. Alex looked at Claire, "Get ready." He said. He pulled on his jacket, wanting to go and get back. He didn't like the idea of going off somewhere with her. He had a feeling she was taking him into a trap. Certainly she wouldn't be that dumb.

Makenna went to walk with Raine, frowning when she heard some guy. She rolled her eyes, before looking at Raine. She could tell he was pissed off, "Raine, let's just go." She said, touching his chest. She didn't want to deal with the assholes right now. She pushed him slightly, getting him moving again. Makenna walked up to his room and walked inside. "Why is it that most guys are such assholes." She said, rolling her eyes. She climbed back in his bed and sighed.

Claire's eyebrow twitched before she just said, "Fine." She stood up before looking back at Alex. "Don't tell me what to do anymore as if I'm a dog. I'm not a hostage anymore. Apparently, I'm one of you." She told him obviously irritated by this whole ordeal. She then said, "You people are buying me a new phone." She huffed before she started out of the place. She headed downtown before she stopped in front of her brother's house. "So. In case you were wondering, this is where Benjamin lives. I'd be careful if I were you." She told him before she walked up the steps. She slammed the door open before seeing his stupid guards. "Where is he?" She asked. Their eyes were wide as they gaped at her. "WHERE IS MY BROTHER!?" She demanded as they scrambled to go find Benjamin not wanting to provoke her since Benjamin ran the place. Once Benjamin came out he looked at Claire and started saying, "Thank god you're okay!" She shook her head immediately clocking him in the face watching him stumble backwards. "ASSHOLE!" She screamed. "If you ever come near me again, i'll have someone give me a gun and kill you myself." She hissed before grabbing one of his most prized possessions and throwing it on the floor shattering it. She then grabbed Alex by the shirt and dragged him out of the house huffing as she let go heading towards her home.

Raine stared at the guy knowing for a fact that no one would miss him. He heard Makenna but his eyes stayed on the guy. He backed off when he felt her touch his chest and muttered something as he headed upstairs with her. "Idiot." He sighed before laughing hearing Makenna. "I don't know." He replied as he got into bed waiting for her to join him and closed his eyes again just relaxing. "I was going to let you handle it until he implied he could whoop my ass." He laughed shaking his head. "It's so funny when people threaten me. I'm not like the best in the gang but i'm not really just show and tell." He then sighed and looked over at her. "I'm surprised you didn't chew him up and spit him out."

Alex sighed as he debated on getting out of the car. He walked with her, surprised when she flipped out on her brother. He walked out with her, before pulling away. "You realize he will come look for you right?" He said as he got in the car. He started it then headed to her place. He stopped in front of her apartment, "Do I need to come inside with you?" He asked her. He wouldn't mind helping her if he had to. He didn't understand why Butch wanted her to be one of them.

Makenna shrugged, "Honestly, he didn't even seem like someone I wanted to waste my breath on." She said. "Though if he talks to me l like that again I will have to deal with it." She said. She snuggled up to him. "When do you have to go to the docks?" She asked. She knew he had plans today. She didn't want to leave his bed though. It was so amazing.

"I don't really give a shit." Claire replied shrugging as she did so. She got into the car before saying, "But you might want to remember that address since they're rivals." She said shrugging again. Hearing his words she sighed, "You can if you want. I don't really care. It's not fancy." She told him getting out and going into her house. She sighed as she did so before heading upstairs quickly to change. Sighing as she looked at herself in the mirror she made sure her outfit was fine before opening the door in case he came to check up on her. She looked for her suitcase before seeing that it was on the top shelf of her closet and sighed shaking her head and peeked downstairs before yelling down, "Are you down there, Alex!? I need help!" She hpoed he was downstairs so that she didn't have to waste time by going outside.

Raine chuckled and said, "He's not.' He admitted smiling softly hearing her words. He raised an eyebrow listening to her question before checking the time. "I have two hours left." He told her. "I gotta go back and see if the shipment is here." He sighed running a hand through his hair gently before wrapping an arm around her. "Though, if it's not there, it won't be good for them since this is the second time its happened." He murmured more to himself than anyone.

Alex leaned against her kitchen counter as he waited for her to get her things. He heard her yell for him, before going upstairs. "What do you need?" He asked. He looked at the suitcase she pointed to. He pulled it down for her, handing it to her. He knew he had to be nice to her now that Butch added her to the gang. Well he didn't have to be nice, but he had to help her when she needed it and take care of her. He looked at her, "Anything else?" He asked.

Makenna nodded, "If they don't do what they say then why do you guys work with them?" She asked, "Shouldn't you have a more reliable source?" She asked. She laced her fingers with his as they laid there. She wanted to enjoy their time together. Makenna looked at him, "I find it so odd that they use you to scare people." She teased him. Then again maybe he was only showing her his nice side.

Claire was more than relieved to see him and sighed as she looked at him before shamefully pointing up to the suitcase. "Sadly, I did not get any of my parents tall genes." She mumbled before taking it gently. "Thank you." She told him before emptying her drawers and folding up her laundry into the suitcase glancing over as she heard him. "No, I think i'm good. You can just watch tv or something. I shouldn't be that long." She told him. She quickly put the rest of her clothes into the suitcase filling it to the brim. She then grabbed her other bag and put her shoes and makeup and toothbrush and things such as that before looking around biting her lip. She saw a picture of her dad and mom and her and took it and slipped it into the backpack on her back before biting down on her lip. She grabbed the suitcase trying to finesse it down the stairs even though the thing practically weighed as much as she did.

Raine sighed before saying, "They were doing good. The first mess up was last night and since they had been reliable since yesterday, Butch was going to give them another chance but if they mess up again, then it's no longer good business." He explained smiling when he felt her lace their fingers together and just held her hand gently in his. He laughed shaking his head, "I'm a really scary guy from what I hear from others. I'm only nice to people I like." He told her. "Hell, Butch finds me scary." He told her. "But don't tell him you heard that from me." He told her with a smile. "I'm not that bad except for when I'm mad." He promised her.

Alex nodded and went downstairs. He looked around her house, finding a book to read. He sat in the chair in the corner, reading it as he waited. He looked up, closing it as she got to the bottom stare, "Did you pack your house?" He teased her. He set the book down, then got to his feet. "Come on let's get out of here." He said, grabbing her bag. He carried it to the car, sliding it into the trunk. Alex got into the car with her and headed back to the bar, "You realize you are going to have to do what Butch says right?" He told her. He knew his boss would not take it easy on her.

Makenna looked at him, "I don't believe you." She teased him. "I guess I will just have to wait and see." She said. She closed her eyes, thinking about taking a nap. She wasn't sure if she wanted to fall back asleep. She wasn't happy that she got woken up early though. Makenna opened her eyes, looking over as Raine, "Do you like it here?" She asked

Claire looked over at him before laughing seeing the look on his face. "Obviously not. I'm basically moving. I think this is a small amount." She replied before nodding. She sighed and looked at the house she had learned to love before closing the door and walking briskly towards the car. She into the car and leaned against the window gently. "Yeah, well, shit happens." She replied. "I didn't exactly choose any of this. I chose not to get shot point blank with a magnum. That was the extent of my choices and given the circumstances I think I chose well." She winced at her hand sighing as she looked down seeing the purple and blue bruises begin to show as well as the swollen tissue. "You don't know it, but Butch and I are determined to make the other's life hell." She murmured softly. "I'd stay away from me if I were you." She told him as she closed her eyes clenching her fists. "In the mean time, I'm going to destroy the only thing Benjamin cares about -- his business. To do that, I need help from Butch, so fine. They wanted the child Valentino should have had? The got it." She opened her eyes again feeling the car come to a halt her blue eyes filled with rage and fire. She got out and grabbed her bag before looking at the suitcase. "My archnemesis." She muttered.

Raine looked down and laughed hearing her say she didn't believe him. "I'd rather you not see that side of me." He admitted smiling softly. He watched her stroking her face gently for a minute before figuring he would let her rest and looked back up at the ceiling knowing he wouldn't be able to sleep. Hearing her question, he sighed before murmuring, "I don't dislike it. That's a hard question. I don't like doing the same shit over again to come back to the same place. It's all black and white." He murmured. "That's why I like you. You aren't black and white. It's a nice change." He told her gently turning to look at her wondering what she would make of it.

Alex got out of the car with her, slamming the car door. He walked inside, seeing a few of the men were already drunk. He sighed as he walked to the bar, ordering himself a beer. He had a feeling he was going to need it now that Butch had him following around Claire. He knew she was up to something so he was going to watch her closely. He took a swig of his beer as he watched her pull her suitcase inside. He sat down at the bar, "Hey Marge can i get a burger and fries place." He said, smiling sweetly at the older lady. He smiled as she walked back to make him food.

Makenna looked at him, "You make it sound like i am so interesting." She said, laughing softly. She didn't see herself that way at all. If anything she was a failure at life. She placed her hand on his side then leaned in and kissed him. Raine was the one thing that made her feel like she could be something more. He made her want to do things and enjoy herself. She had never met anyone like him before. She pulled away slowly, watching him, her eyes meeting his.

Claire heard him slam the door watching him for a moment before getting her suitcase out and getting it upstairs leaving it inside of Alex's room so it would be upstairs and she could just put it in whatever room needed. She looked over at the bar and then looked over seeing Butch and just walked over to him before hearing him ask her where she went and what she did. "I went to Benjamin's house and I clocked him in the face, destroyed whatever he had in a glass case and then walked out got my shit and now I'm back." She told him watching as he looked towards Alex to make sure she was telling the truth. She then sighed and said, "Okay, what do you want from me?" She asked hmi softly knowing he wanted something otherwise he wouldn't have given her a choice. She was trying her best to act respectful.

Raine chuckled and said, "You are compared to all of this." He told her gesturing around them. He smiled at her pushing her hair out of her face before kissing her back gently letting his hand fall on her face. He looked back at her a smile on his face before murmuring, "Do you want to be in the gang, or just chill out here?" He asked her not wanting to push, but he was more than a little curious as to her plans. He gave her a small smile.

Alex looked over at Butch when he asked him if she was telling the truth. He gave him a simple nod and went back to eating his food. He listened to them talk, knowing that whatever she was involved with he would have to be too.

Butch smiled, "Well, we will be taking your brother out soon. I need you to lure a few of his men away from their hide out. I am going to send Alex and Marcus with you and I expect a few dead bodies tonight." He said, before walking away.

Alex took a sip of his beer, before eating a fry.

Makenna smiled at him, "Honestly, I'm not really sure what I want just yet. I will have to get back to you on that." She said. "For now I am content hanging out with you." She said as she straddled his lap. "Is that okay?" She asked as she placed her hands on his chest.

"What are their names?" Claire asked looking up at him again, tilting her head to the side. "And how many is a few?" She asked him watching him. When he gave her names and a number, she sighed before turning again, "Last question. What room is mine?" She listened to his answer before she sat down at the bar beside Alex and shook her head. "Well, good thing is I don't know the guys he's wanting me to lure, so that should be easy." She then went upstairs and grabbed her suitcase and bag and wheeled it to her room. She closed the door and sighed as she fell down onto the bed and looked at the ceiling. She was just trying to survive in a place where she didn't knwo anyone or have any friends. She curled up into a ball sighing once more as she did so.

Raine laughed and said, "I understand that. I was curious more than anything." He told her before looking up as she straddled his lap. "I'm alright with it, but you need to know that sometimes people are going to try to kill me." He told her letting his arms wrap around her waist as he looked at her. "Which means if you're hanging with me, you might be in the crossfire." His face changed to a serious one as he watched her knowing that he didn't want her to get hurt, but it was always a possibility in his line of work.

Alex looked over at her, "Don't worry, i'm sure it won't be long before he has you kill a friend." He said. He sighed as he watched her walk away. He knew that Butch was going to slowly work her up to it. He would probably end up having her kill her own brother. He finished his food, then went up to his room. He turned on the tv, laying down on his bed. He knew he would be up late tonight so he wanted to rest.

Makenna nodded, "Yea well good things always come with consequences." She said as she placed her hands on each side of his head. She leaned down and kissed him softly. She deepened the kiss when she felt him kiss her back. She would do anything to keep Raine. He was the only one who actually took an interest in her. She felt his hands on her as she kissed him.

Claire looked over at him before she shook her head, "I'm not friends with any of them. The only one I was friends with was the one you killed." She then sighed as she sat on her bed. She didn't want to be in this predicament anymore. What had she ever done!? She wasn't her father. She wasn't her brother! She looked at the ceiling before falling back onto the bed and curling up in a ball. Soon, she was fast asleep and had a blanket laid gently over her. She woke up later and looked out the window figuring someone would come and get her when it was time to leave.

Raine chuckled and said, "Usually, they aren't death threats." He poined out looking up before he kissed her back feeling her deepen the kiss and brought her closer gently, letting his arms just go around her as he did so. He heard a knock on the door groaning before he yelled, "Go away!" He laughed looking at Makenna before he heard his door being banged on. He rolled his eyes picking her up gently before setting her back down heading to the door. "What?" He demanded seeing one of the other guys. They told him it was time to go. He looked at his watch and said, "We have an hour." He watched him before he heard him say that Butch wanted him there early. "Fine." He shut the door before going into one of his dressers getting a white shirt and getting his leather jacket on. "I'll be back later." He told her getting his gun and putting it behind the back of his pants. He kissed her lightly. "You can come with if you want, but I'll have another dude with me." He told her.

Alex walked up to Claire's room, knocking on the door. He watched as she opened it, "Let's go." He said. He walked with her to the car, climbing in the passenger seat. He relaxed as Marcus drove them to the location. Alex tossed Claire the phone, "Call them." He said. He knew that if she asked for help they would come running. "Make up whatever story you have to." He said. He pulled his gun out, handing Marcus on. He wanted to get this done with quickly.

Makenna smiled at him, kissing him back. "I think I will stay here this time." She said. She watched him, "Be careful." She said. She watched a smile come to his face, then she laid back on the bed. She sighed as she heard the door close, then got up, finding the remote to the tv. She ended up finding a horror movie to watch, Halloween. She loved those movies. She sat on the bed, holding the pillow her chin resting on it. It was a marathon of the movies so it would kill some time. She turned the lights off and got absorbed into the movie.

Claire looked up hearing the knock on the door before standing up grabbing her purse knowing it would be more convincing. She gave him a nod before getting into the back. She sighed when he tossed the phone. She shook her head and said, "It'd be more convincing if I went in, but alright." She took a deep breath before dialing the number and then feigning panic she asked for help, calling each one of them before she got out of the car and said, "I told them to meet me over here." She lead them to a clearing and said, "How is this going to work?" She asked him softly as she waited for them to show up.

Raine laughed and waving with a grin on his face before closing the door. His face changed immediately as he rolled his eyes and got onto his bike heading towards the docks. Once there, he went forward seeing Mike. He looked at him and asked, "You got our shipment?" He asked him. He saw him nod before asking, "Is your golum looking bitch going to come out of the shadows again?" He saw Mike shake his head answering him. "Good. Then this should go smoothly." He told him crossing his arms over his chest before he looked down at the shipment frowning. "What the fuck is this?" Mike started to babble telling him that that was all he had. "Not good enough." He told him before grabbing his face and slamming it into the wall beside them hearing a sickening crunch. He tossed him towards the other guy. "Take him to Butch." He snapped before getting what shipment he had and putting it with the other stuff before carrying it to the warehouse. Once he was done, he headed back. He opened the door to his room ignoring the blood on his shirt knowing he'd need a shower.
