Where Hope has Gone

Jason nodded and said, "Alright, cool. More than anything, I'm curious." He laughed smiling back at her before looking at the pistol and the rounds. "Might want Eric to look at this and show you how to use it, if you don't already that is." He said not wanting to assume anything. He looked at the legal documents and sighed. "Well, these are pretty useless now." He told her and grabbed the box before saying, "That's all the bathrooms in the house." He told her with a nod.

Hearing Eric she glared at him shaking her head. "Definitely not!" She sighed before smiling as she pet the piglet gently stroking the little peach fuzz it had on it and smiled before murmuring, "His name is Pinkie." She laughed and held him close and just continued to pet him and shook her head at Eric. "How cruel." She told him as she started to walk back at the entrance. "I guess that's the end of reconaissance." She laughed.

Lilith nodded to him absently and stuffed everything not useful back in the safe then locked it and replaced it. It just seemed right to do so. She stuffed the gun into her waist band and then gathered up the rest of the stuff and took it to the kitchen table.
"Hey Jason do you wanna see if any of this medicine is useful?" She called setting the 3 bottles to the side.

"Guess you're right, let's go see what's next." Eric said with a chuckle.
They made it back to the house in about five minutes. He walked right in and through to the kitchen. He grabbed a glass of water and then noticed the box of ammo on the table, which reminded him he needed to show Jason and anyone else who didn't know how to shoot.

Jason hummed before looking over hearing Lilith. He nodded before going over and looking at the bottles. He blinked and said, "Oxycodone, Methadone, and Diamorphine. These are the really good painkillers. But at the same time extremely addicting, which is why she had them in a safe. These would be good to have in case something happens when one of us are in a lot of pain." He said and nodded to her. "Keep them."

Rae laughed and said, "Alrgiht." She carried Pinkie inside with her and looked over seeing Lilith and Jason and grinned at Lilith. "Look who I found! I named him Pinkie." She told her with a smile as she showed her the pig and said, "I'm going to give him a bath soon." She explained knowing that having a stinky piglet in the house wouldn't really be a favor to anyone. She set Pinkie down on the floor giggling when she heard him softly snort.

Lilith looked around the kitchen to see if there could be anything where she missed and decided no that was probably it. She realized they had a lot of things to do and almost groaned at the list. At some point for sure they needed to head back to her car.
She laughed when Rae came in and placed the piglet on the ground, it was pretty cute. "Found a pet Rae?"
She walked up to them and petted Pinkie.

Eric drank his water slowly and looked around the kitchen, it looked like everyone had everything sorted out pretty nicely but it also didn't look like to much.
"So should we try and get the windows boarded up before it gets dark or do something else?" He asked looking around at everyone.

Jason rasied an eyebrow looking at Eric questioningly. He then sighed as he watched her put him in the sink and laughed shaking his head watching Lilith and said, "Should've called him bacon." He grinned softly before running a hand through his hair and wrinkled his nose. "He smells." He laughed knowing that that was why she was giving him a bath.

Rae smiled at her and siad, "I think he's a mini pig, because he's so tiny!" She laughed and looked back at pink smiling as she watched Lilith pet him and picked him back up walking over to the sink as she ran some water putting the plug in. Hearing Eric she looked over and said, "I don't know." She looked at Lilith.

Lilith laughed at her sisters silliness. She went to sit at the table and watched her sister clean the pig. "I'm not sure honestly, probably would be a good idea to do that."
She looked over at Jason and grinned Bacon would be a good name for the tiny thing. " How did we want to work the sleep shifts as well? Like first group goes to bed and then after 8 hours the second group wakes then up and goes to bed or..."

Eric looked over at Jason and grinned, "That's exactly what I said." He put his glass on the counter and joined Lilith at the table. He fingered the box of ammo and said, "I'm cool with that, I've also got to show Jason and you two if you need it how to shoot. Better safe than sorry."

Jason grinned back at Eric hearing him and shook his head hearing Lilith and smirked. He laughed as Rae called them all insufferable asses and shrugged. "Guilty." He replied before looking over at Eric and Lilith and said, "8 hours works." He nodded in agreement and said, "That is a skill that we might need, though I think using weapons that don't rely on ammunitions would be a far better use to us." He said running a hand through his hair.

Rae frowned hearing them and shook her head, "Insufferable Asses, all of you." She rolled her eyes as she smiled washing Pinkie gently and then finished up grabbing a towel and wrapping him up in it holding him close to her chest as she did so. "I guess we need to learn how to shoot..I don't like guns that much, if I'm being honest." She admitted stroking Pinkie's head softly and playing with his ears.

Lilith nodded she wouldn't mind learning that, so she would have something other than her bat. Plus she really wanted to keep her aunt's gun on her and wouldn't feel right about that if she didn't know how to use it. She moved over to her sister and pulled the pictures from her back pocket. She sat them in front of her and told Rae, "thought you might like to look through these."

Eric laughed, "Only sometimes."
He looked over at Rae and muttered, "You don't have to do much, just learn how to hold it and aim, and then you'll never have to touch it again unless it's an emergency. Speaking of other weapons, do any of you guys know how to use anything else.?"

Upon hearing Eric he laughed and siad, "Unless you count how to use a syringe, then pretty much can only use a bat and anything that's pretty much swing and hope for the best." He laughed and shook his head and said, "Don't act like that, mate. Some people jsut don't like guns." He told him knowing Eric might have hurt Rae's feelings with that comment.

Rae heard Eric and frowned before looking back at the photos her eyes kind of watering since her mother was in the pictures as well as her Aunt. She smiled at her sister and nodded before murmuring, "I run really fast, and swim, other than that, I don't really have arm muscles." She avoided his eyes this time before looking back at the picture gently holding Pinkie as she did so.

Lilith shrugged and glared at Eric, he didn't need to be rude about it. She gave her sister an encouraging smile and said, "I played softball and lacrosse all the way through high school so bats pretty much it for me."
She grabbed one of the pictures of the whole family together and slipped it back into her pocket for safe keeping.

Eric looked up at Jason and frowned, he hadn't meant anything bad by it and certainty didn't mean to be mean or anything.
"No" He backtracked "I understand that and I'm totally cool with that didn't mean anything rude or anything..."
He had a habit of saying things before he had thought them out completely and sometimes came out like an ass because of it. He looked up at Rae and saw she looked hurt and that made him extremely guilty.

Jason looked at Lilith and muttered, "I played Baseball. I hate football. I used to do boxing, but I broke my nose once and my mom refused to let me do it anymore." He laughed shrugging and looked at Eric and nodded his head knowing he hadn't, but he knew for a fact that the way people said things sometimes had a negative impact, and he could already tell that Rae took things seriously. He ran a hand through his hair and yawned.

Rae looked up hearing him and just nodded slightly before looking back down at Pinkie smiling softly and murmured, "Would it be hurting his masculinity by putting a bow on him?" She smiled softly kissing his head softly ignoring Jason's shudder and said, "I just cleaned him! You all are such wusses." She laughed looking down at the pig once more and sighed and said, "Though, I would say put the boards up now considering we don't know if we'll have a problem tomorrow or something. Why wait?" She said leaving her emerald eyes down on the floor.

Lilith glared at Eric for another second before turning back to her sister. She looked down at the little piglet and couldn't help the smile that formed on her face. "I agree with Rae better to do what we can now."
She laughed at Jason's reaction, she figured since he worked at a hospital he was hyper aware of germs but still Rae was right Pinkie had just received a bath. She nudged Rae's shoulder with her own playfully.

Eric took in all the information around him and then stood. He had an idea of where everything they needed would be but figured it would be best to ask.
"Did you two happen to find any nails or anything in the house?" He noted Lilith's head shake and turned to Jason. He wasn't really expecting anything but miracles could happen. When Jason also replied negatively he walked closer to the door.
"Alright I saw a tool box in the barn but didn't check it out so maybe we'll get what we need from that."

Jason shook his head and muttered, "I don't care if it was just in a car wash, I refuse." He laughed and said, "The things you become working in a hospital." He shook his head and said, "I regret nothing." He laughed softly his chest vibrating as the nice sound rung through the air. He looked back at Eric and said, "Well, I guess it wouldn't hurt letting the girls be paired together once in awhile so I'll go with you." He told him standing up and following him. He sighed and said, "Lead the way to the evil swine." He laughed again.

Rae looked back and smiled at her sister and nodded. She felt her shoulder be nudged and laughed nudging back before looking up watching the guys leave and turned to Lilith and said, "Do you think we could find him a bed?" She looked back at Pinkie and then asked, "Do you wanna hold him?" A grin broke out across her face as she did so her pony tail swishing as she moved her head to look at her sister.
