Matchmade by family, Hopefully they last

Derrick walked with her slowly "That is a lovely idea, hopefully we can find a puppy that you really like." He walked her over to his red porsche. "I hope you don't mind if I drive, sometimes I prefer to do things myself," he mentioned softly.

He knew himself that he was an extremely careful driver, having in his youth seen first hand the damage driving too fast can cause. Despite that, he didn't want to deprive himself from the joys of driving such a finely tuned automobile, he just made sure he did so safely, and now with Alyssa being in his life, he'd be even more careful.

He opened the passenger door for her, ready to help her climb in, but if she was uncomfortable with him driving he was sure that his driver would not have left just yet.

Alyssa walked out with him to his Porsche. She smiled softly when he asked if she would be comfortable with him driving. “Yeah That will be fine” she said softly. Once he extended his hand, she took it and then climbed into the passenger side. She then relaxed against the seat as she looked around the nice car. She had never seen a car like this before but then again her parents nevered owned what would be considered a sports car. “This is nice” she said to him.

Derrick smiled softly at her after he'd helped her in, "Thank you, and surprising comfortable," he replied. He closed her door for her and made his way around to the driver's side and climbed in. "I don't drive myself often, but when I do I prefer to do it in style," he admitted. He put on his seatbelt and started the car. "would you like to put some music on, or the air conditioning?" he asked her softly.

He waited for her reply, and for her to put her seat belt on, before he moved the car forward towards his front gate.

Alyssa smiled when he got in. “I see that” she said with soft laugh. It was a very gorgeous. “Music is fine. You can pick it if you would like” she said unsure if he would like the music she listened too. She then put on her seatbelt as she relaxed more against the seat.

Derrick stopped as he waited for the gate to open. He turned on the radio quietly and picked more recent pop music. He didn't mind most types of music, the only stuff he couldn't bring himself to like was screamo, and other music that heavily featured death or abuse of women. Derrick smiled at her lightly, "So now that we're alone, how am I doing?" he asked her politely. He seriously valued her opinion, and hoped he hadn't done anything that had put her off.

Alyssa stayed silent as she looked around the car. Her attention then turned to the radio once he turned it on. Pop music was her favorite. It was mostly happy music. She smiled softly when she heard his question. “You are doing great” she said, looking at him. It was kind of scary that she was getting comfortable with him this quickly when she barely knew him.

Derrick grinned softly, 'I'm glad to hear that," he admitted. He started moving again driving towards the town. He remained concentrated on driving for the remainder of the scenic journey to the rescue. He pulled up outside the building, the sound of dogs barking quietly coming from inside. He turned to look at her, "Alright let's go pick you out a puppy, hopefully there's one you'll love," he said softly. He climbed out of the car and walked around to her side helping her out of the extremely low to the ground vehicle.

Alyssa smiled as she leaned back against the seat, looking out the window was Derrick drove. A silence filled the car as soft music played but it was a nice content silence. “I’m sure I will” she said with a smile once they arrived to the shelter. She gently grabbed his hand and got out. “Thank you” she said sweetly to him. She then walked with him inside, seeing the dogs. A smile appeared on her face when she saw the puppies that seemed to be in a litter together. There was a beautiful husky puppy that was by its self. “Hey there” she said gently petting it. The dog began wagging its tail and licking Alyssa’s hand. Alyssa smiled and gently picked it up. “Well aren’t you a sweet heart” she said with a laugh as the dog gave her kisses.

Derrick grinned walking around with her. He crouched by some of the puppies petting them gently. He smiled looking at the puppy she'd picked up. Huskies were one of his favourite breeds of dog, but it was her decision. He chuckled softly, "I think it likes you," he noted. He stayed next to her, looking at the puppy and her.

Alyssa smiled at Derrick when he said the puppy liked her. “It seems she does” she said with a small laugh as the puppy continued to give kisses. She was a beautiful all white husky with one blue eye and one green eye. “That didn’t take long” she said with a smile as the puppy snuggled to her in her arms. She then walked with Derrick to get the puppy, doing the paperwork.

Derrick walked up to the counter and began the paperwork. He got all the information needed about how to care for the puppy, and brought some dog food and a dog bed. He put his arm around Alyssa lightly, once everything was sorted and led her back out to the car. He smiled lightly, "want to put her in the back seat or hold onto her up front?" he asked her softly. She seemed so happy with the dog it warmed his heart.

Alyssa stood next to Derrick as he filled out the paperwork, keeping the puppy busy in arms. She then walked out with Derrick, feeling his arm around her waist which she didn’t mind at all. “Up front with me” she said with a smile as Derrick opened the door for her. She then got in and sat the puppy in her lap which made the puppy lay down. “Thank you for the dog” she said sweetly to him.

Derrick nodded softly, "Don't mention it Alyssa, I've been waiting for an excuse to get a dog for awhile," he said softly. He moved around to the truck and put away the accessories and stuff before continuing around and climbing into the drivers seat, 'Hopefully it will help you sleep soundly, at least until you're comfortable enough to move into my room," he said quietly. He patted the dogs head lightly, before starting the engine.

He was glad she seemed so quiet and submissive, he liked that in a woman, but he wouldn't force her into doing anything until she was good and ready.

Alyssa relaxed against the seat when he closed the door. “I’m sure she will help me sleep” she said softly he got into the car.. She pet the dog as the dog fell asleep in her lap. Things we’re going great and she was already feeling something towards him. There was something about him that drew her to him. He seemed sweet but there was something else.

Derrick nodded, and saw the puppy had fallen asleep. He pulled the car out onto the road. "That's good, if not we'll sort something out, have you thought of a name for her?" he asked quietly. He hoped she'd pick something suitable, so he wouldn't feel silly calling the puppy in public.

"Did you want to do any other shopping in town?" he asked lightly. He figured if she needed anything they might as well stop. He was already becoming comfortable around her, and glad to have her company. He wanted to spend as much time with her as he could, but didn't want to over do it.

Alyssa smiled softly as she pet the puppy while it was sleeping. “Not really thinking about it tho” she said smiling brightly. The dog was such a sweetheart and Alyssa already adored her. “I am okay with going back to the house” she said with a smile. “Thank you tho” she added politely with a smile. She wanted to get to know him and spend time with him but she couldn’t think of anything that she needed at the moment.

Derrick nodded, "okay we'll head home," he said softly. He pulled the car onto the road back to his home. He couldn't believe how cute she was with the new puppy. "Again if you ever need to go anywhere, feel free to ask my driver, I've instructed him to be discreet about it even to me," he informed her.

He hoped that she felt she could go anywhere she wanted without fear of upsetting him, she wasn't his prisoner. He smiled softly across at her as they made up back to his front gate, he pulled up stopping and waited for the gate to open.

Alyssa smiled. “Alright” she said smiling softly. She doubted that she would go without Derrick very often. It seemed a bit weird that she was going to be a wife to this man and she would go anywhere with out him. Her family was very traditional, anywhere her mother went her father went with her. She liked the option was there tho. She hoped once they got inside they would spend time together, feeling so comfortable with him.

Derrick drove them up to the front of the house and turned the car off. He turned to look at her, "Okay, so I'll set up the dog things in your room shall I, and we can feed her in the on-suite," he suggested. He climbed out of the car and walked around to help her climb out.

Once they were inside and had set up the puppies bed, he turned to look at her, "Would you be interested in joining me for a swim?" he asked her softly.

Alyssa nodded. “Sounds good” she said before grabbing his hand, holding the puppy close to her with her other arm. She followed him inside and to her room. Once they were inside the room, she sat the puppy down. The puppy explored until Derrick was done with the bed. Alyssa smiled softly when he asked her to swim with her. “Sounds great. I’ll take off my makeup and change in my bathing suit” she said. She loved swimming and was happy he seemed to enjoy it too.
