Danny watched Nova liking the fact that she seemed at ease here and then shut his eyes gently figuring if he was going to have a day off he was going to enjoy the hell out of it.

Gwen laughed hearing his words before shaking her head, "Doesn't mean you can't take charge." She told him with a smile before humming trying to think of something they could do together.

Nova stood with Danny as he talked to a group of people. She took a sip of her wine her blue eyes moving to the entry way. she was surprised to see Dimitri brought the girl from the club. She immediately seen Danny's attitude change when he seen who Dimitri brought. Nova didn't know who the girl was.

Dimitri got out of his car then walked up to the door of his bosses house. He looked at her, "Look don't mention your dad in here and try your best to ignore the guys. most of them are assholes." He said, laughing. Dimitri opened the door and walked in.

Danny had his arm around Nova's waist knowing that no one dared to disrespect her - especially not in his prescence - for fear of retribution or even death with his temper. His eyes wandered to see his second in command a grin coming onto his face before he saw who he had at his side. His eyes immediately hardened, his smile turning into a frown. He waved off everyone else and stood in front of Dimitri looking down at Gwendolyn. "Do you have any fucking idea who this is, Dimitri?" He hissed before cutting Gwen off as she tried to introduce herself. "I know exactly who you are, Miss. Vanderbilt." He growled. "I suggest you get the hell out of my house." His eyes were stone cold and he could feel his grip wavering.

Gwen got out of Dimitri's car having agreed to go to this party weeks ago since she had met him and had gone on several dates with him. She was glad he was speaking more though. She laughed before saying, "Trust me, I have no death wish." She told him before smiling at him taking his arm. She saw Danny and Nova giving her sweetest smile before saying, "It's nice to meet you. I'm Gw-" She was cut off by Danny and stepped back by his hostility. "I'll take that as he knows." She mumbled to Dimitri her grip on his arm increasing from fear. She looked between the two flinching at his words. "Dimitri, I don't think I'm welcome here." She bit down on her lip.

Nova frowned as Danny went after the girl. She lost her calm collected husband and watched as her dark monster appeared. Nova sighed, setting her wine glass down. She walked over, "Daniel, play nice." She said, touching his arm. She looked at him when he had her attention, "Can we just enjoy this night and not have this drama?" She asked him. She looked at Gwen then back at her husband, "I'm sure she is not involved with whatever her father is involved in." She said. She listened to Dimitri when he spoke about Gwen not caring for her father. Nova looked at Daniel, "Everything will be fine for the night." She said. She grabbed her empty wine glass, "Can you go get me some more to drink please?" She asked him. She watched as he left then turned to the couple. When they went to walk by she grabbed Gwen by the arm. "Let me make myself clear if you do anything to my husband or get him in trouble in anyway you are going to find out who the really scary one is in our house." She threatened. She let go of her, "Enjoy your night." She said, smiling, not realizing Danny was behind her and heard her. She walked away and went to talk to one of the other women.

Dimitri stood in front of Gwen when Danny came towards them. He was ready for him, "It's nit like that Danny." He said, frowning. He was glad when Nova stepped in. It always shocked him how Danny could be so cold, but then look at her with just kindness in his eyes. He was glad when Danny walked away. "Thanks Nova." He said. He went to lead Gwen in, then frowned when Nova grabbed her. Once they were alone he looked at her, "I'm sorry." He said.

"What is it like then?" Danny demanded about to go forehead when he felt a hand on his arm and looked back at Nova softening his gaze as he looked at his wife and asked, "Do you understand who her father is?" He shook his head before saying, "You don't remember the name Vanderbilt?" He scoffed hearing her argument before glaring back at Gwen and said, "We're dealing with this later." He turned away walking past before looking back hearing Nova and just smirked to himself getting her a refill before returning with it letting his arm go around her waist and kissed her head lovingly.

Gwen looked up seeing Dimitri step in front of her and peeked over seeing the glaring holes she was receiving from Danny and winced before sighing when Danny walked away but looked up feeling Nova take her arm listening to her and just watched her sighing softly when she let go and just walked with Dimitri and gave him a smile, but was obviously shaken. "It's not your fault. I came willingly, remember? I didn't exactly plan for a night unscathed." She told him taking his hand gently. "I'll be fine." She promised him. "Though, I didn't expect to be bombarded right when we walked in. Dude has eyes like a hawk." She sighed before saying, "Though, I'm sure my hair stick out." She laughed.

Nova smiled as he put his arm around her, "I know exactly who she is by the way." She said as she took a sip of her wine, her eyes watching Gwen. "Haven't you ever heard the phrase, keep your friends close but keep your enemies closer." She said, looking at him. "Clearly if her dear daddy was going to make a move on you she would tell Dimitri. She wouldn't want him to end up going down with you." She said. For the most part Nova stayed out of Danny's business, but she could be just as bad as him.

Dimitri chuckled, "That is just Danny. You are lucky Nova swooped in when she did even if she did threaten you." He said. "So you want something to drink?" He asked her. He led her to where the drinks were and got himself a drink after her got her something.

Danny looked down hearing her words and muttered, "I just don't like it. Not one bit." He shook his head before he murmured, "She knows exactly who I am too." He sighed shaking his head before saying, "We'll see later on. I plan on having them both stay longer because Dimitri knows better." He said before turning back to their guests knowing he had to play host with Nova. He knew she lived for this though. He just let her do her thing.

Gwen gave him a nod before saying, "I feel as if they are the same on the inside. Though, I don't mean to insult or anything, just an obversation." She told him and smiled as he asked her if she wanted something and said sure. She wanted the water since she knew her dad would be home this evening for when she got back home. She thanked him and murmured, "So, I'm going to guess you are his lieutenant if he were a captain since everyone is either looking up at you pratically or avoiding you." She laughed. She was sharp.

Nova rolled her eyes playfully at Danny, "You are something else." She said, laughing softly. She walked with him, talking to everyone. Once everyone left she watched as Danny stopped Dimitri from leaving. She sat down on the couch, watching them.

Dimitri chuckled, "Yea kind of." He said. He enjoyed his night with Gwen until Danny approached them again. He normally would put his life in Danny's hands but with Gwen he worried. She made Danny unpredictable.

Danny shrugged kissing her head. "You've known this since highschool, darling." They both knew it to be true, and he knew for a fact that he had a temper. He watched as people continued to leave before stopping Dimitri from leaving. "You've got some explaining to do. Beucase, see, there are some things I'm confused on." He was extremely upset with him at the moment.

Gwen smiled and just enjoyed speaking with him and even managed to get him to dance one with her. Everything was pretty good until she saw Danny and just stood her ground watching him gently as she listened to him speak to Danny. She didn't like the way he was talking to Dimitri, but held her tongue knowing this wasn't her territory at all and she had no right. She just stood beside Dimitri hoping nothing happened to him because of her.

Nova ran her fingers through her hair as she watched the three of them. She fell back into her roll of trophy wife as she listened to Dimitri explain. She didn't know how she felt about Gwen.

Dimitri sighed, "What do I need to explain Danny? I met Gwen and didn't know who she was. Shit happens." He said. "She's not going to say anything." He said. He knew he had to be careful because Danny was someone that could lose it quickly. He was unpredictable and he didn't want Gwen hurt.

"Don't give me that bullshit, Dimitri." Danny rolled his eyes hearing his words. "Oh yeah? How can I be sure?" He asked him pointing to her. "She's a danger to my operation and I want her gone. I don't know anything about her except you know the fact that she's the lawyer's daughter that would love to see me dead!" He almost yelled before taking a breath knowing he didn't need to lose it.

Gwen was getting extremely annoyed by the fact that he was talking about her as if she wasn't there. She couldn't take it anymore and said, "Look, I don't exactly see eye to eye with my dad and I actually like Dimitri, so I wouldn't say anything. Besides my father's business is his own. Just because he had a stupid vendetta thing against you, doesn't mean I have to or that I agree with it. My philosophy is if you haven't done anything to me, I'm not going to do anything to you." She waited to hear his next words. He looked down hearing her beginning to speak and was surprised by her words but looked back at Dimitri suspiciously and muttered, "Oh come the fuck on." He shook his head throwing his hands up in exasperation.

Nova raised an eyebrow, seeing Gwen talk to Danny the way she did. She got to her feet and crossed her arms as she watched her husband. He was pissed and she could see that he was wanting to let this happen, but his business side was saying it was a bad idea. Nova looked at Danny, "Danny," she said, getting his attention. "I'm going to bed." She said before she walked off. She figured he would take the hint and let the two leave and follow. She walked upstairs, stripping out of her dressed and heels. She sighed as she began to take off her jewelry and make up.

Dimitri sighed, "Look she isn't going to be around here that much. Just give it a chance and if it doesn't work out then you get to decide how we deal with it." He said. He looked over as Nova spoke to Danny then was glad when Danny told them to leave. He took Gwen's hand, leading her out of the mansion. He sighed, "Thank god Nova has a short leash." He teased, laughing with Gwen. He opened her door for her, "I'm sorry he is being this way." He said. He shut the door, then got in the drivers side and stared ahead of them for a moment. He looked at her, "I know you said you don't get along with your dad, but please don't make me regret doing what I just did in there." He said.

Danny was utterly shocked by the way the girl stood up to him. Half of his guys didn't have the balls to do that and she did even knowing who he was. He glared down at her before shaking his head not understanding. He could very well see that Dimitri liked her, but he just thought it was a bad idea. Hearing Nova, he sighed before asking them to get out of his house. He wearily shut the door not bothering to lock it, knowing no one would try a damn thing - especially if he was home. He went upstairs and sat on the bed putting his head in his hands.

Gwen frowned seeing his glare but refused to look away. She met his gaze even though she was scared out of her mind. She sighed once he told them to leave. Feeling Dimitri take her hand, she walked with him and gave him a smile. "I don't know if it's that or if she sees it from a different standpoint." She told him. She smiled getting in the car. She shook her head and murmured, "Don't be sorry, Dimitri." She gave him a soft smile. Hearing his words, she turned to face him before saying, "I told you. I won't say it again. I am not my father, and never will be." She made him look her in the eyes and just nodded to him gently.

Nova watched Danny in the mirror in front of her. She could tell he was really worried. She stood up, going over to the bed. She climbed into the bed behind him, sitting on her knees. "Baby." She whispered as she rubbed his shoulders. "Are you okay?" She asked as she slid her hands down over his chest. She was hoping he would be okay.

Dimitri nodded, "I know i just dont want to be the reason my friend get in trouble be cause of me. He drove her home and parked outside of her house. He looked at her, "Well I hope you enjoyed yourself, minus the threats." He said, laughing softly.

Danny heard Nova feeling her climb into the bed. He relaxed more as he felt her rub his shoulders lifting up one of his hands to lay down on hers lifting his head up to lean back into her. "I'll be fine." He promised her. "The business side thinks it's a bad fucking idea no matter how you look at it, and the friend side just wants to say fuck it and not get involved and just let him do him since he seems to like her." He explained looking up at her.

Gwen shook her head before murmuring, "I can't promise anything for my father, but I won't say a thing." She promised him knowing she didn't want anyone to get in trouble. Feeling the car stop, she smiled at him before laughing with him. "Well, it wouldn't be interesting without threats now would it?" She asked, opening the car door.

Nova looked at him, "I know. I think it will be fine though." She said before kissing him. She kissed along his neck, smiling against his skin. "I am going to take a shower are you going to join me?" She teased him.

Dimitri smiled, "I had fun." He said. "I will talk to you later." He said. He watched as she went inside then drove back ro his apartment. He was hoping that Danny would come around.

Danny smiled softly and murmured, "How do you know?" He asked her before getting wrapped up in the feeling of her lips on his neck. "Of course." He murmured turning and grabbing her face gently and bringing it forwards kissing her again.

Gwen smiled and nodded, "I had fun too. Thank you for tonight." She told him giving him a smile. She headed inside. Soon enough her dad was instigating a fight and she told him if he wanted her to do whatever he wanted he would need to just slap a number on her and a bar code. She wasn't his property and never would be. He told her she was just a selfish brat and knew nothing of the world. Gwen had had enough at that point. She grabbed her bag and phone along with her charger and wallet and headed outside. She slammed the door heading to Dimitri's apartment. Once there, she sniffed knocking on the door.

Nova smiled, "Well, I trust people more than you remember." She teased him. She kissed him, then pulled away. She got up and walked into the bathroom, removing her bra and panties. She stepped into the glass shower, feeling the warm water run over her. She washed her hair, rinsing it as Danny came into the bathroom.

Dimitri was surprised when he heard a knock at the door. He had a pizza on the counter he picked up on the way home for himself and he had changed into a pair of sweatpants for bed. He walked over to the door, looking to see who it was. He was surprised to see Gwen. He opened the door, "What's wrong?" He asked.

Danny laughed shaking his head before saying, "I strange thing in this world." He replied kissing her back watching as she got up. He stood up going into the bathroom. He shed his nice clothes before getting into the shower with her glad for the warmth her body and the water brought.

Gwen sniffled again wiping at her nose looking up when Dimitri answered the door and mumbled, "I'm sorry. I have no where else to go. My dad and I got into a fight." She then explained the horrid things her dad had said about her. She hugged herself and mumbled, "I can leave.." She bit down on her lip hoping he didn't want her to leave, but she would understand.

Nova smiled as she felt him stand behind her. "How nice of you to finally join me." She said, kissing him. She ran her hands over his body as they stood there. Nova kissed him softly and placed her hands on his side. She was glad that she could get him to relax. Nova pulled away slowly, looking up at him.

Dimitri frowned when he seen her, "No, don't leave." He said. He let her in, "Don't worry about it. You can stay in here." He said, locking his door again. "You can set your bag in my bedroom. It's down the hallway." He said. He waited for her to return, "If you are hungry I got pizza." He said. "i'm sorry your dad said those things.
