Kia ran downstairs excited, trying to get to the kitchen where her bandmate Charlie was cooking breakfast.

“Charlie!” She screaming and running.

“Exciting news!” She kept yelling.

She grabbed her friend and she jumped up and down.

“Our manager called and we have a gig!” She said excited.

“Who are we opening for?” Charlie asked.

She finished making breakfast and looked at her. “I guess we need to tell the other guys.”

“We’re opening for...” Kia squealed.

“HOLLYWOOD UNDEAD!” She cheered.

“Manager said we have a meeting with them in a week to discuss our music and sets and what we’re going to do.” Kia said grabbing a water bottle.

“And then we have the actual gig in a month.” She took a drink.

“Tim even said we could possibly go on tour too!” She continued

“No shit? Awesome! You better call your boyfriend.” Charlie teased her.

It was no secret the lead singer of their band had hots for Kia.

She smirked whenever her friend tried to smack her. “That’s fucking awesome though man. I just hope they didn’t find our cover of Dead in Ditches.” She laughed.

“Oh my god, im not calling Joey.” She giggled.

She gasped

“Fuck I forgot we did that!” She cupped her face in her hands.

“Okay, I’ll call Nik and Taylor, they’re gonna be so excited”

“I’ll call Joey.” Charlie laughed. “After breakfast though.” She said and sat their plates down.

She got herself a cup of coffee before sitting down. “I still can’t believe this.” Sbesakd, scrolling through her Instagram feed.

Kia also poured herself a cup of coffee before sitting herself down next to her friend.

“I know!” She said taking a sip.

“It’s unreal. I just sent a mass text to the guys so.. I hope they show up soon! We definitely need to practice before meeting with HU.” She sighed.

“They’re going to hate us..” she groaned

“Oh well, they’ll either hate us or fall in love with us.” Charlie laughed.

“We do need to practice though.” She added.

She looked up as she heard her doorbell go off and jumped up to answer the door. “Come on in dudes.”

Kia looked over and seen the guys come in.

"Hey guys!" She greeted them.

"What's up?" Their drummer Taylor said.

"I cannot believe we booked with Hollywood Undead!" Nik called out.

Kia laughed.

"I know! How fucking exciting!" She chuckled again

"So this means practice hard for the next week." Nik sighed.

Kia and Taylor nodded.

"Yep." Taylor continued

“Where’s Joey?” Taylor asked.

“Kia wouldn’t text him but I did.” Charlie rolled her eyes.

“Kia, dude, you just need to admit you love him.” Nik laughed.

Charlie just giggled as she looked at her best friend.

"Okay so we had a little bit of a history but I definitely don't love him." Kia rolled her eye and sat on the couch.

Nik and Taylor looked at eachother with a smirk.

"She loves him." They said in sync before laughing.

Kia grabbed a couch pillow and swung it at Nik and Taylor.

"I don't." She scowled.

“Uh huh.” Charlie giggled. “He’s on his way.” She teased her friend.

Soon Joey arrived. “So, we get to open for Hollywood Undead huh? How fucking cool.” He said. “Hey Kia,” he smirked.

Charlie grinned. “Right? So cool.”

Kia smirked and waved before heading to the kitchen to avoid awkward conversation.

“Sup man.” Nik said.

“I can’t fucking wait dude.” Taylor said laughing.

“Gotta work on my bass skills boys.” Nik air guitared laughing

Charlie followed Kia. “We’re just fucking with you, Kia.” She told her friend.

“Joey is like hella gross anyways and totes not your type.” She added.

“God I know. I don’t know why he’s so persistent.” Kia laughed a bit.

“So when do we start practicing?” She asked taking a water bottle and drinking some water

“He’s a dude, that’s why. Probably after breakfast would be best.” Charlie said as she sipped her water.

Kia nodded and began to eat.

After breakfast the group decided to go into Kia and Charlie’s sound proof basement and began to set up.

“Joey is still not here.” Taylor said banging a bit on his drums.

Kia sighed.

“He keeps this up we’re going to have to replace him.” She said looking at Charlie.

Charlie shrugged, “I texted him.” She said, looking at her phone to see if he responded. “No response.”

“I’ll call him.” Taylor said and dialed Joey’s number. “Yo man, where the fuck are you bro?”

Charlie looked at Kia and shrugged. “This sucks if we have to replace Joey so close to getting this gig.”

Kias eyes lit up.

“Maybe we don’t have to..” she said thinking.

“What are you thinking about Kia..” Nik said, strumming his bass.

“Maybe.. Charlie and I can take the lead?” Kia responded lookIng over at her.

“We already know the songs and lyrics. Or maybe.. Charlie can just lead so I can back up?” She suggested.
