Hayley sighed as she looked in the mirror. “What am I doing?” The seventeen year old said to herself.

She was going to a party, it was being thrown by some of the preps at her high school and she wasn’t invited persay, but she was going to go anyways.

“Whatever, fuck it.” She said and headed downstairs.

Her parents worked late so they wouldn’t even know she was gone. She grabbed her car keys and left, driving to the house before she talked herself out of it.

Raine stood on his porch, drinking with his buddies as the party went on around them. He decided to throw a party since his parents were out of town. He walked inside to find some beer. He grabbed a beer then walked out of the kitchen. He took a swig of it, bumping into somone. He looked down, seeing a familiar face. He was pretty sure she was in his math class. "Hayley right?" He asked smirking. His friend had invited her though he didn't expect her to show up. He grabbed her hand when she went to walk away, "Wait, let me get you a drink. i would hate to be a bad host." Raine was the most popular guy in school. He was captain of the basketball and football team. He led her into his kitchen and looked at the alcohol, "What would you like?" He asked her.

Hayley still couldn’t believe she was doing this and when she saw some of the football team standing outside, she almost left, that was until Raine stopped her.

Raine smirked, "Well perhaps a mix drink then. Most people don't really like beer." He said. He mixed her a drink, not putting a ton of liqour in it since she didn't drink much. Most people thought he was a dick because his friends were, but he really wasn't. Sometimes he could be cocky and self centered, but it wasn't all the time. He took a sip of his beer, "I'm surprised you showed up." He told her. He knew she kind of kept to her small group of friends. "You didn't bring your friends?" He asked.

“Thanks..” Hayley said as she took the drink and sipped it. She shook her head. “They backed out...said they didn’t want to be around a bunch of people who hate us..” she shrugged.

Raine raised an eyebrow, "You think I hate you?" He asked. He didn't hate people. He took a sip of his beer again. "I don't hate you. I have no reason to. You haven't done anything to me." He said. Everyone around them was getting drunk and he knew he wouldn't be far behind them. Though Hayley had his attention now.

“Not you but your friends don’t like me or my friends..” Hayley said, pointing behind him where his friends were glaring at him. “Sophia doesn’t like me,” she said, referring to Raine’s on again off again girlfriend.

Raine chuckled, "Sophia doesn't like anyone." He joked. He looked back at his friends, "Look," He said putting his arms around her shoulders and walked with her, "You are at my house so they will just have to get over you being here." He said. "I wouldn't say they hate you though. They just don't like people that aren't in our group." He said.

Hayley was shocked whenever he put his arm around her but she didn’t say anything. She gave him a smile before nodding and took another sip of her drink. She figured she’d at least try to enjoy herself.

A few hours later Raine was drunk with Hayley and leading her up to his room. He normally wasn't into girls like her, but there was something different about her. He walked into his room, shutting the door. He locked it, watching as she looked around his room. His room was clean for a guys room. It was littered with pictures and trophies.
