She shrugged. "I don't know that it can," She said quietly. "I just keep thinking you're not serious about it, and I didn't want to not tell you so you didn't know until it became an issue."

He smiled as he looked at her, leaning on his arm so he could reach over and hold her face. "Bored?" He asked, teasing gently and slowly leaning in to kiss her. She'd done it before so he figured she might not mind if he did it again.

Drew looked at her, "Look your lack of trust is something you need to work on." He said, frowning. He knew that it was because she had trust issues.

Nova looked at him, "No, I am having fun." She said. She kissed him when leaned in to kiss her. She knew she promised herself she wouldn't rush with him, but she couldn't help herself.

“And I know that, that’s why I’m telling you. What I’m trying to say is maybe I’m not ready, but I wanted to be honest with you and tell you that at least.” She explained. “I’m trying though, you wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t.”

Ryker put his hand on her hair, kissing her back. “Your mom always been that strict? No way I’m the first boy you’ve had in your room.”

Drew nodded, "Okay, I am willing to give you time. This doesn't mean you are going to sleep with other guys though right?" He asked. He would hope that she wouldn't. He knew that he wasn't thinking about other girls.

Nova looked at him as he pulled away, "Yea, she is always like that." She told him. "Pretty sure if she could control my every move that she would." She explained.

Layla thought for a moment. This was what she had agreed to, and she didn’t want to end up being the person who did the hurting when she was the one who got hurt. “No, I wouldn’t do that to you,” She said. “Youll just have to keep me occupied,” She nodded. “Which I’m sure you’ll do fine.”

Ryker nodded. “I was just wondering if I’d be able to sneak in to see you,” He smiled, sitting back in his arms. “Or if we’re going to have to get creative with where we can hang out.”

Drew looked at her, "You do realize that not ever relationship is exciting forever right?" He asked. He knew what she meant, but he wondered what she was expecting of him in the long run.

Nova smiled "Well she works a lot. Earlier was just a freak thing." She said shrugging. "We will figure it out." She said. She knew her mom would get distracted eventually.

Layla nodded. “Well of course, but letting it get boring is how people break up. Besides, I don’t think we’re at the exciting part yet. Right now all we’re doing is sort of feeling our way to see if this is going to work, right? That’s good enough for me for now.”

Ryker sat so he could look at the water and then grinned. “Want to go swimming?” He asked, gesturing away from the pier toward the beach a little way down.

Drew nodded, "Yea i know. I just want to make sure I understand what you want right now. I don't wanna force you into something you aren't ready for." He said.

Nova looked at him, seeing the grin on his face. "Okay." She said. She stood up with him and let him lead her to the beach.

“And I appreciate that,” Layla smiled at him. “Just as long as we keep it between us for now, I’m fine.” She nodded. “I mean what do you want right now?”

Ryker stood and grabbed her hand, getting the beer with the other. “So I’ve only gone swimming here once before but I think there’s a thing about trespassing,” He admitted, setting down his stuff and lifting his shirt off. “That should make it more fun though.”

Drew looked at her, "I just wanna be with you." He said. He just wanted her to be with him. He really liked her

Nova watched as he pulled his shirt off, "I am starting to see a trend with you." She teased him as she pulled her shirt off, revealing her black bra.

Layla smiled a little to herself, and shrugged. “Do you want to stay over? We can get to know each other and stuff,” She offered, sitting up on the couch.

Ryker laughed. “Oh yeah? What’s that?” He asked as he pulled off his jeans and walked toward the water.

Drew smiled, "Yea i would like that." He said. He ran his fingers through her hair, "Thanks for coming tonight by the the way." He said.

Nova looked at him, watching as he smiled. She didn't know how she ended up hanging out with someone so gorgeous. "Your incredible need for jail time." She teased him as she took her jeans off. Once they were in the water, she splashed him, laughing as he gasped. She smiled as he looked at her.

She closed her eyes, almost immediately comforted by the contact. “You did really well, so it wasn’t like the game wasn’t a good one,” She smiled at him. “So thanks for inviting me. Plus you totally won because I was there,” She added and laughed.

Ryker grinned and froze when the cold water hit him. “It’s not a need it’s a game, one you don’t seem to mind,” He teased splashing water back at her and jumping when she splashed him again.

Drew chuckled "Oh is that right?" He asked as he put his arm around her. He kissed her cheek and smiled.

Nova smiled, "I don't know what your talking about." She teased him. She laughed as he splashed her and she splashed him back.

Layla smiled widely. “It’s definitely right,” She told him, sitting so she leaned against him. “It was my good luck charm that won the game,” She said matter of factly. “You’re welcome.” She teased.

Ryker snorted and went over, splashing her back and moving closer when she backed away playfully. He moved as if he were going to catch her, splashing her again and laughing. “I think you definitely do.”

Drew smiled, "I guess that just means you will have to come to all of my games then." He said as he put his held her body against his. He kissed her cheek and smirked.

Nova laughed as she splashed her, letting him get closer to her. "Nope, I don't think I do." She teased him before she splashed him once he was relaxed. She smiled as he looked down at her.

Layla shrugged. “Maybe. The team can’t have that unfair of an advantage,” She smiled at him. It was a weird feeling to be as close to him as she was but it was comforting. “So when are you taking me on this date? Where will we go?”

Ryker caught her by the hand and pulled her closer to him, he leaned down and kissed her again before smiling. “You know, but you don’t seem to care. And I like that.”

Drew smiled at her, "I was thinking about taking you to this really nice restuarant that I think you might enjoy." He said. He knew that he would have to plan something else as well.

Nova kissed him back then looked at him, "Oh do you?" She teased him as she kissed him softly. "I'm not responsible if you get in trouble." She teased him. She knew that he probably wouldn't but she liked to tease him.
