just say you won't let go

Dean smiled at the thought. "Alice would be amazing with kids, it's so obvious she would go for a job like that. It just fits her as the wonderful person she is." He smiled. "So, I wonder what they do in their universe?" He raised his eyebrows. "Man, I have so many more questions that I can't have the answer to." He looked to his brother. "They'll be alright." Dean smiled. "We'll leave 'em a voicemail, they're leaving for that cruise soon, remember?" Dean grinned at the thought. "I'm nervous." Dean exhaled with a laugh. "But at the same time, I feel like our luck got better, you know?"

Sam chuckled gently, rubbing at his face. "Who would have thought something like this would have happened to people like us?" he mentioned, looking to his brother as he arched a brow, though he shrugged slightly. "Who knows? Who knows what even we do there? But... Rosie seemed really happy with that Sam, so I'm happy for them." Now he just had to find his own happiness and hope for the best. "Yeah, we'll leave them the voicemail." He nodded, looking out the window for a moment. "I know what you mean. It's a weird feeling but... It feels right."

"I know, I mean, c'mon Sammy." Dean laughed. "It doesn't get more American life than us, so fate's got a plan." He smiled. "Yeah, Alice looked really happy with that Dean, too. In love, you know? I hope I can find that with this Alice." Dean followed the signs on the highway that led him closer to his soulmate, feeling his heart pounding within his chest. "So, how am I going to introduce myself to this Alice without looking weird?" Dean asked, tapping his fingers against the steering wheel to ease his anxiety.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," Sam said honestly, nodding, "Rosie looked genuinely in love with that Sam, like he was everything to her - and he looked at her the same way. It makes me really want that with somebody, with the Rosie that's meant to be mine." He smiled to himself with the thought, but he couldn't help but to worry that maybe he was letting his hopes get too high. Was he setting himself up for disappointment? Pushing the thoughts away, he shrugged slightly. "You could always just hit on her the way you did the other Alice." He smirked teasingly to his brother.

Dean frowned jokingly at Sam. "Hey, I need to make a good impression to this Alice. They won't know us like the other girls did." Dean reminded his brother. "So, we gotta play this right. Besides, how are you gonna waltz into a hospital?" Dean snorted with laughter. "Need me to play as a crash test dummy?" Dean teased Sam relentlessly, using the blinker to come off onto another road, leading to Illinois. "God, I'm scared." He exhaled.

"Well, we didn't know the other girls knew us," Sam pointed out with amusement, though he snorted quietly to his brother's words. "Why am I not surprised at all that you would suggest that?" He arched a brow as he looked to Dean, amused but nervous about whether it would work or not. Still, he nodded. "We could give it a try." Whatever it took. He watched his brother for a moment and nodded in understanding. "I know what you mean. We can do this, though."

"Hey, it's a good idea, shut up." Dean teased, focusing on the road. "We can. Just gotta play it by ear." Dean explained. "Alright, can you pull up the map on your phone? I need to know if I'm going the right way. I just wish I knew exactly where Alice is." He frowned, slowing down as the car came into a speed limit. "I'm glad that we met ourselves, though. Seemed like nice guys." Dean joked.

Sam laughed quietly to his words, amused, but he nodded slightly as he pulled out his phone to pull up the map. "You really are anxious if you're actually wanting to look at a map," he joked lightly, "Did she say where in Illinois she was?" Arching a brow, he looked over at his brother while he input the state. He nodded, though, to Dean's words. "Yeah. They must treat the girls right, at least, if they're all that in love."

"Yeah, Carbondale." Dean smiled. "I just... haven't felt this happy since Lisa." Dean confessed, Sam knowing how much Lisa and her son, Ben, meant to him. "I'm just excited to get Alice into my life. She put everything right, you know?" Dean exhaled his anxiety. "So, point me in the right direction, how far are we?" He asked, raising his eyebrows in anticipation.

"Alright," Sam said with a nod as he inputted the information before he made a face. "We're still several hours out. We're on the right track so far, though." He looked to his brother, processing his brother's previous words, and nodded slightly. "Yeah, I know what you mean. I feel like this is an opportunity I might never get again, the chance to have somebody as wonderful as Rosie in my life."

"Gotta grab it and make it ours." Dean nodded in agreement to Sam's words, expertly maneuvering the car through the traffic. "I wonder how alike to the other Rosie and Alice they'll be like." Dean spoke his thoughts out loud, obviously eager and curious and slightly confused by how crazy everything seemed. One day, he and his brother were living life, quite normally, and suddenly everything was tipped upside down and their lives changed course.

"The other Rosie said this Rosie might be more shy," Sam said as he looked to his brother for a moment. "But, if she's a nurse, I'd think she's still a really amazing person." After all, whether it was the other world or this world, it was still Rosie - circumstances might be different, but he couldn't imagine her being too different from the amazing woman the Rosie he'd already met was.

Dean smiled. "Alice said that this Alice - that's confusing," Dean furrowed his eyebrows. "Would be a little more uncertain. I just hope I somehow don't mess things up." Dean confessed. It had been a long time since he and Sam had been on a road trip together. The last time they really had a good amount of quality time was after Sam's graduation, where they disappeared off the map and got so drunk, it took them two days to get back home, only to get an earful from Mary and a tap on the back from John. "I can't imagine Alice being anything less than incredible though."

Sam chuckled lightly with the mention of it. "The entire situation is confusing," he reminded with amusement, shaking his head slightly, "But at least we're taking it in stride." Shrugging gently, he leaned back in his seat, relaxing a bit as he thought about it, thought about meeting this world's Rosie. He nodded in understanding when he heard his brother's words. "I know what you mean."

Dean rolled his window down to let in the humid air of the afternoon. Staying silent, he pondered about the possibilities. The fact that Alice worked with children made Dean smile like a lovesick teenager, it seemed to fit her right down to the ground. She was kind, practical, and overall a gentle soul, and despite not knowing what she did in her other life, Dean felt like something along the lines of a teacher really did sit her. "Man, Mom and Dad are gonna freak if we both get a girlfriend at the same time." He said in amusement.

Sam couldn't help but to imagine Rosie, run through the possibilities about what all could change about her, how different she could be from the Rosie he'd met. His thoughts were interrupted, however, when his brother spoke, and he looked over before he let out a laugh. "That's probably true," he admitted with a nod before he shrugged. "Maybe it's fate, though. Maybe we were meant to meet the other Rosie and Alice so that they could point us in the direction of where this world's Rosie and Alice are."

“Won’t be long now.” Dean murmured, once again tapping his hand on the steering wheel as he drove. “Fate is definitely what it is, considering we were two guys who didn’t believe in fate when all of this happened.” Dean said with amusement, raising his eyebrows. “Life’s a funny thing.” He smiled. “I wanna be happy... like, Mom and Dad happy. And I think I can only do that with Alice.”

Sam laughed quietly before he shrugged. "Crazy things happening can make you believe in even crazier possibilities, like fate," he mentioned with amusement, though he nodded in agreement to Dean's words. "I know what you mean. I feel the exact same way about Rosie." And, he hadn't ever really felt that way before, he hadn't ever met a woman that made him feel that way.

“Man, this is exciting.” Dean turned down the radio as the sun went lower in the sky, sending the hues of red and pink across the sky. Dean couldn’t help but envision watching a sunset with Alice. He had made the decision that he wanted her, all of her, all to himself.

Sam nodded his agreement. "And nerve-wracking," he admitted quietly, mostly to himself. But, really, he couldn't imagine anything better than to go out in search of the woman he was clearly meant to be with. He couldn't wait to learn about the Rosie of this world, to meet her, to get to know her - he wondered what their life would be like if things ended up going well for them.
