I Need U

Yoongi looked down, hiding a smile as he turned back to his computer. “Now you have a demo to show off at your audition,” he said. That song meant a lot to him, and giving it to her was a big deal. But she’d just rapped it so well that he thought it would be better suited for her. “Maybe when you become a big star, you’ll remember who gave you your first song.” He looked at her, a sly smirk on his face.

Sooyoung bit her lip gently, unsure if she should stay or not. But what was the harm in it? She nodded her head and laid back down beside him. She rested her head against his chest, sighing contently. “Really, though, get some rest,” she murmured. “I can’t come support your shows if you’re too tired to perform.” She pressed a soft kiss to his chin before nuzzling her head into his chest.

Sunni blushed. “I doubt I’ll make it big but I’ll never forget you helping me.” She said as she slipped the envelope in her jacket pocket. “What are you going to work on now though?” She asked with a frown.

Jimin chuckled. “Alright, Alright.” He said and leaning down and giving her a soft kiss before settling back. He sighed as he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

Yoongi shrugged his shoulders. “I’ll come up with something else,” he said. “I have many ideas, just have to write them down, you know?” He smiled at her. “Did you have fun today? All the times I’ve overheard Sooyoung talking about you, it seems like you’re usually unhappy. I don’t want to overstep any boundaries or make assumptions or anything.”

Sooyoung smiled, watching him sleep for a little while before she dozed off herself, feeling a bit happier now that she knew Jimin liked her back. And maybe Sunni and Yoongi had something going on too. She would be delighted to see the two of them happy.

Sunni smiled at Yoongi, “I did have fun.” She said as she watched him. “Did you have fun spending time with me?” She asked. She hoped her and Yoongi would be able to spend more time together because she did like him, but she still wasn’t sure if he liked her like that.

Yoongi nodded his head. “I don’t usually let people in my studio like this, it’s kind of strange to me,” he said with a small chuckle. He scratched his neck and sighed contently. “You’re not annoying like my sister, though, so that’s a plus.” He shot her a sly grin before he stood up. “Do you need a ride home?”

Sunni smiled. “Thanks Yoongi.” She said and stood up, “Yeah, Sure.” She smiled. “I wonder where Sooyoung is.” She said as they exited Yoongi’s studio.

Yoongi shrugged his shoulders as he led her down the hall. “Probably out somewhere causing trouble,” he said with a small chuckle. He led her out of the building and to the car. He climbed in and started the engine, glancing over at her. He was surprised at how much he enjoyed being around her. He usually preferred to be to himself, but with her, he found himself wanting to spend more time with her.

Sunni smiled and got into Yoongi’s car. “So, do you think maybe we could hang out again sometime?” She asked him as he pulled out of the driveway and onto the street.

“Yeah, of course,” Yoongi said. “I wouldn’t mind that at all.” He smiled at the thought, keeping his eyes on the road. “I’m sure Sooyoung will be sneaking into more practices, so you can come with her, and we’ll all hang out.” He glanced over at her, getting her home address before he drove there. He parked in the driveway and looked over at her. “Well, uh, goodnight, I guess.” He looked away awkwardly, not really sure what else to say. He wasn’t good in these types of situations.

“Sounds like a plan.” Sunni smiled. She leaned over and kissed his cheek. “Goodnight, Yoongi.” She said before exiting his car and going up to her front door. She went inside, looking out the window as he backed out of the driveway.

Yoongi smiled to himself, backing out of the driveway and then driving back to the dorms. He parked the car and went inside, going to the room he shared with Jin and shutting the door. The older boy was already asleep, so he quietly changed into his pajamas and laid down on his bed. That night he thought about Sunni until he fell asleep, actually having a happy dream for the first time in what felt like forever.

Jimin woke up the next morning, Sooyoung was still in his bed with him, curled up. He smiled and quietly got out of bed, leaving her to sleep while he headed downstairs to get some coffee going. He saw Yoongi already awake and working on something on his laptop. “Yoongi hyung, do you want some coffee?” Jimin asked his older brother.

Yoongi looked up when he heard Jimin’s voice, nodding his head in response. He looked back down at his laptop, working on some lyrics for a new song he was writing. The idea had popped into his head when he’d woken up, and he’d instantly grabbed his laptop and began working on it. Maybe Sunni had inspired him a bit, that was true. He looked up after a moment, watching Jimin. “Do you know where my sister went yesterday after we got back?” he asked, getting up and moving to the counter, sitting down. “I haven’t heard from her, and I just want to make sure she got home safely.”

Sooyoung groaned softly as she rolled over in bed, frowning when she found it was empty beside her. She slowly cracked her eyes open and looked at the empty space beside her, sighing softly. Jimin was probably already awake. And if he was already awake, that meant Yoongi might already be awake too. She stood up from the bed and yawned as she stretched her arms out, pushing her hair out of her face. She walked to the door and pressed her ear against it, listening closely. She cursed under her breath when she heard Yoongi’s voice coming from down the hall, knowing there was no way she could leave. She sat back down on the bed and pulled her phone out, texting Sunni. Morning. How was last night?

Jimin got Yoongi a cup of coffee and handed it to him. “She hung out here for a bit and then I took her home.” He explained. It was a lie but he couldn’t tell Yoongi that Sooyoung spent the night and in his bed. He wasn’t sure how he would react. He pulled his phone out to text Sooyoung. As soon as Yoongi goes to his studio, I’ll take you home. He doesn’t know you’re here still so stay in my room, okay? “Did you enjoy your time with Sunni?” He asked Yoongi.

Sunni looked at her phone when she saw the text from Sooyoung. It was good, actually. Yoongi admitted he wants to hang out again. How was your time with Jimin? she texted back before going downstairs to make herself some coffee.

Yoongi nodded his head. “Sorry I dumped her on you guys,” he mumbled. “I hope she didn’t bother you too much.” He knew he underestimated his sister sometimes. He was just so used to her annoying him all the time that he assumed she annoyed everyone else too. “But thanks for making sure she got home.” He offered Jimin a small smile before he took a sip of his coffee. He sighed contently, going back to work on his laptop.

Sooyoung frowned at the text from Jimin, sighing softly. She wished she didn’t have to hide her feelings for him, but she didn’t want to upset her brother either. She opened the text from Sunni, her frown instantly turning into a smile. That’s exciting! I’m glad you two are finally talking. It felt like it was going to take forever. We talked a bit and then fell asleep in his bed, and now I’m trapped in here because Yoongi is awake. She looked up at the door, sighing softly.

Jimin smiled. “Yeah, what are you going to do today? I think Hobi and Jungkook were going to go to the beach, I don’t know if the others are going to join or not.” He said, trying to make small talk with him until he disappeared into his studio.

Sunni smiled, do you want me to text him and see if he wants to come over, that way Jimin can get you outta there without being caught? she sent to Sooyoung but also giggled slightly. She never thought the day would come where Sooyoung would be in such a predicament.

Yoongi shrugged his shoulders. “I’ll probably just stay in,” he mumbled. He was sore from the day before and he really didn’t feel like going out or doing anything, especially at the beach. Hot sun didn’t sound very pleasant to him. He sighed, closing his laptop and pushing it aside. He took a sip of his coffee and looked up at Jimin. “What are your plans?” He figured Jimin would go back to practicing since the other boy never stopped until he felt like he had it right.

Sooyoung looked down at her phone. She would hate to take advantage of her friend like that, but from the sounds of it, Yoongi wasn’t disappearing anytime soon. Would you do that? I don’t want you to feel like you have to. It’s not like I mind laying in Jimin’s bed. She giggled softly as she sent the text, looking around the room. She picked up a picture off the nightstand of Jimin with his family, smiling. He really was so handsome, and she could see where he got his good looks from.

“Probably got practice some dancing...you know me, a perfectionist.” Jimin chuckled softly. He looked up as Jin came into the kitchen. “Morning brother.” Jimin smiled, greeting his eldest brother. “Morning...I’m surprised you two are up so early, especially Yoongi.” He chuckled.

Sunni smiled and looked at the text from Sooyoung. Haha it’s no problem at all. she replied back before opening a new message and bringing up Yoongi’s name. She hoped he at least had his phone with him. Good morning Yoongi (: i was going to see if you wanted to come over for breakfast and maybe we could work on a song or something? she sent the text to Yoongi, hoping he would take the bait.

Yoongi picked up his phone when he got a text, raising his brows. He was totally surprised at the content of the text. Nobody ever invited him out to do anything. It was really surprising. Maybe he should go, get some fresh air, some different scenery for a while. It would be good for him. Sure, sounds great. Your place? He stood up, looking at Jimin. “Some of us have plans,” he said, a small smirk on his face. Without another word, he grabbed his laptop and went back to his room to quickly shower and get ready.

Sooyoung smiled, shaking her head. If anything, she hoped this whole ordeal would get her brother out of the dorm and socializing. She just wanted to see him happy. She leaned back against the pillows, staring up at the ceiling for a minute before her boredom became too much for her to handle. She grabbed her phone, sending Jimin a text. I’m so lonely. She added a crying emoji before sending it, biting her lip as she waited anxiously for a reply.

Sunni smiled at her phone. Yeah. I’m going to start breakfast but I’ll leave the front door unlocked so you can come in when you get here. she texted him back. She decided to shower and get dressed first though before heading down to make breakfast.

Jimin chuckled. “I’ll be in my room.” He said and got up, heading to his room. He opened the door then closed and locked it before smiling at Sooyoung. “Hey.” He said as he walked over and crawled onto the bed.
