What Am I To You?

Hoseok smiled and waved to her. "Bye, Yumi" he said, watching her leave before he headed to the dorm.

Once he got back to the dorm, the guys started questioning him. “So, hows your girlfriend?” Jungkook teased him as he walked in. “I’m surprised he didn’t bring her.” Tae buckled.

Hoseok rolled his eyes and ignored his friends as he headed to the room that he shared with Yoongi. He set his bag on the floor and plopped on top of his bed. He took out his phone and texted Yumi. I hope you made it home safely. I'm glad we met up again.

Yumi had just walked in when her phone vibrated. She smiled and closed her front door before replying. Just walked in, me too. Hopefully we can do it again sometime. she replied as she headed up to her room.

Hoseok smiled when he received the text from Yumi. He had to thank his uncle for talking him into coming into the dance studio earlier. He wouldn't have reconnected with Yumi if he hadn't. Hoseok sent a quick goodnight text to Yumi before he fell asleep himself.

The next morning Yumi woke up and saw a good morning text from Hoseok. She texted him back and asked if he wanted to meet for breakfast. She decided to go shower while she waited for his reply.

Hosoek woke up early the next morning. He always was the first person to wake up out of his friends. He saw that he received a text message from Yumi, smiling as he read it. He sent her a reply saying that he would love to go get breakfast with her. Hoseok quicky and quietly went into the bathroom to shower, brush his teeth, wash his face, and get dressed without waking up Yoongi. Once he was ready, he quickly and quietly tried to sneak out. He didn't want his friends to meet Yumi just yet.

“Hoseok, where are you going?” Yoongi asked as Hobi quietly tried to leave the room. “Are you meeting that girl?” He asked him, rolling over slightly.

Yumi smiled at the text from Hoseok. She quickly got dressed before texting Hoseok that she would meet him at the cafe down from the studio, and then left, excited to see him again.

Hoseok sighed and stopped in place. "I'm meeting her for breakfast. Please don't tell the others, I just want test the waters out first before I have you guys meet her." He said to Yoongi. "Please, I'll have you guys meet her soon. Just do this for me."

Yoongi laughed. “You think I care that much about some girl you’re meeting? Go have fun, I’m going back to sleep. Oh, but Hoseok, bring me back some food? I’ll love you forever.” Yoongi said.

Hoseok sighed, "You may not care, but the others do and they can be overwhelming, which is why I don't want you to say anything to them. I'll bring you food back if you keep quiet about this." He said, hoping that Yoongi won't say a thing to the others as he left.

“When have I ever let you down?” Yoongi called as Hoseok left.

Yumi made it to the cafe and didn’t see Hoseok yet, so she decided to wait in her car until he got there.

Hoseok smiled at Yoongi and then quickly left the dorm. Thankfully the cafe was walking distance from the dorm, so he quickly made his way over so he wouldn't be more late than he already was. Once he arrived to the restaurant, he immediately spotted Yumi and walked towards her. "Hey, sorry I'm late." He said with a soft smile.

“It’s okay, I figured the guys were asking questions.” Yumi giggled as they headed inside and sat down at a table. “This is crazy isn’t it?” She said. “I never thought I’d be reconnected with someone from my past.” She smiled.

Hoseok smiled and nodded. He held her hand in his as they waited for their food to come. "I agree, but I like this and I wouldn't have it any other way." He said with his big dimpled smile.

Yumi smiled, “same here.” She said and reached in her bag. “I found this last night.” She said, showing him a picture of them as kids at his uncle’s dance studio. “Remember this?”

Hoseok took the picture and looked at it. He smiled as he immediately recognized the younger version of himself and Yumi. "I do. Look how adorable we were." Hecm said with a big smile

“I was so fat back then.” Yumi chuckled. “So glad I had a glow up.” She chuckled. She looked up as their food came. “Finally.” She did a little dance.

"I was a chunky kid too. Look at me." He said and pointed to himself in the picture. "We both have had a glow up since then." He said and then smiled when their food came. He immediately began to eat. "I love this place. They have the best pancakes ever."

“I got French toast.” Yumi smirked as she started eating. “Are you going to the studio today?” She asked him as she took a bite of French toast and then some of her bacon.
