Ava was washing her hands when Toni walked in, she looked over at her, “Did I miss something or is Sweetpea being extra nice to me?” Toni laughed softly, “I don’t think you missed anything.” Ava smiled, looking in the mirror and fixing her makeup that was covering a bruise on her cheek, “Don’t say anything to the guys, some of the girls at school are being worse than Reggie.”

She turned to look at Toni, “Ready?” Ava walked to the door and opened it for Toni to walk through.

FP was surprised to hear Alyssa invite them to dinner, “I’ll have to talk to Jug, but I’ll definitely be there.” He laughed nervously, “He still likes to rebel, ya know?” FP smiled at her, he couldn’t put his finger on it, but something about Alyssa had caught his eye from the beginning and he wasn’t letting anything happen to her.

Alyssa smiled softly and nodded. She knew where Jughead was coming from, but she knew that FP was working on fixing his life so that he could he could be a better father and a better man in general. "He'll come around FP. You raised a good kid." She said then held his cheeks with both of her hands, "Even with your past mistakes, You're working on becoming a better man and I can see it and I know Jug sees it too. You are a good man, one of the only few good men that's left in this Earth." Alyssa told him with a soft smile. Alyssa had been attracted to the older man from the time she met him when she first moved back. She didn't let the rumors about him scare her away, because Alyssa knew the real FP. Alyssa has fantasized more than once at the thought of them being a couple, but she wasn't sure how Jughead would feel about some girl who is literally 7 or 8 years older than him dating his father and she didn't know how he felt about her in general.

Sweetpea smiled softly at Ava when she and Toni returned from the girl's room. He, once again, draped his arm around her shoulder. "We'll be probably leaving soon to go back to the Southside, but I can walk you home before I do. That way I can stop Reggie if he tries to harrass you." He whispered, looking over at Reggie's direction, giving him a warning look as he looked in their direction. "Or do you wanna come over to the White Wyrm with us for a bit."

Ava took a minute to think about what she wanted to do. She noticed Tony give Sweetpea a warning look when he mentioned the White Wyrm. Knowing their parents weren’t home and not wanting to be left alone, she spoke up, “I’ll go with you guys, if that’s okay....” Ava knew Tony was weary about her spending too much time on the Southside. Her brother always thought she was better staying on the Northside.

“I’m glad you think so, I hope Jug sees it too,” FP sighed, he had been doing everything he could to fix things with his son. He couldn’t help laughing softly when he heard her call him one of the good guys, “I don’t know about that, but I’ll take the compliment.” FP couldn’t help himself as he gave her one more hug, “I’ll see you later tonight.”

Alyssa smiled and hugged him back, "I will see you and hopefully Jughead tonight. Make sure you come hungry. I'm making my specialty dinner" She said and waved to him as she made her way back inside the bakery. Once she was inside, Alyssa took care of her customers until it was time to close for the night.

Sweetpea ignored Tony's warning look. He would have offered to stay with Ava until her parents came back, but they didn't really like Sweetpea or any of the Serpents. He also didn't want her to be alone, and usually nothing bad happens at the White Wyrm, so he didn't see why he couldn't bring Ava over with them. "Of course it's okay." Sweetpea cut off Tony before he could say no fo her. "It should be pretty chill tonight, but I'll make sure that you are not in harms way if anything happens". He said and smiled softly at the girl.

"Okay then, I'd love to go with you guys," Ava said, she didn't really do too much besides school and go home. She was excited to go somewhere else and see her other friends. Ava smiled up at Sweetpea, "Thank you, I feel better already." She got up and followed everyone as they walked out of the bakery.

FP gave her a smile before walking out of the bakery. He saw the younger Serpents walking out, giving them a nod before getting in his truck and leaving. He went back to the trailer, figuring out how he would be able to get Jughead to talk to him, let alone go to dinner with him and Alyssa. When he heard the door to the trailer open, FP got up from the couch and looked over at his son, "Hey Jug, can I uh, talk to you for a second?"

Jughead stopped and looked over at him, "Yeah?'

"I was wondering, you know Alyssa right? She owns the bakery on the Northside? Would you want to go to dinner with me at her place?" FP asked, just getting it out of the way in case he said no.

Jughead looked up at his father. He was slightly taken aback by his father's request. Sure he knows Alyssa, everyone loved her, especially the Serpents. "I guess I can... She's nice." He said as he sat down on the couch. "Do you like her?" He asked FP trying to analyze his father's facial expression. "What about Mom and Jellybean?" He asked softly.

Sweetpea smiled and walked next to her until Tony pulled him back next to him. "What gives Tony?" he asked, only loud enough for him to hear. "What were you thinking when you invited my sister to go to the White Wyrm? I'm trying to keep my sister safe and keep her from being involved with the Serpents. She deserves a good life." Tony said, but Sweetpea stopped him. "But with you becoming a Serpent, and she being related to you causes backlash on her end."

Tony stopped, he was about to say something when he noticed Ava looking at them, “Just, keep an eye on her.” He wasn’t going to push anymore.

Ava smiled when Sweetpea walked up with them, “Is everything okay?” She asked, not liking that her brother seemed like he was having problems with Sweetpea.

FP ran a hand through his hair, “I don’t know...” He knew Jughead had hopes that things would work out for his parents, but it wasn’t happening. “I’m still talking to your mom about Jellybean, but I don’t think your mom has any plans on coming back...”

Jughead nodded. Although he was hoping that his parents will get back together and that he could have his ster around one day, he knew that maybe it was for the best that his parents were separated. He noticed that his father has been working harder to make things better for the two of them and he noticed that he was happier and all that began when Alyssa moved to town. "Dad...I notice that you are doing better for yourself and if it's because of Alyssa, then that's great. But don't hurt her. I believe she is the good thing that Riverdale needs." Jughead said then smiled, "so when are we heading over to Alyssa's?"

Sweetpea nodded and smiled, "Yeah everything is good now." He said and continued to walk with her with his hands in his pocket. "Do you like going to school with the Northsiders?" He asked the girl, "I sometimes wish we had the same learning opportunities like they get." He told Ava will a slight shrug of his shoulders. Truth be told, none of the Sweetpea friend's know that he actually wanted to learn stuff at school. But he has never said anything about it to them because he didn't want his friends to think that he was a nerd.

Ava shrugged slightly, “As much as I like going to school it’s okay.” She knew there would be drama no matter what school she went to. “It’s been fine until lately. I actually got in a little trouble today so I won’t be going to school for the rest of the week...” She said softly.

FP was surprised by Jughead being so understanding, “I’m going to be leaving in a little while. I wanted to shower and clean up a little before we go.” He gave his son a smile before walking back to the bathroom and starting the shower.

Alyssa had closed the bakery for the night about two hours ago and then went grocery shopping so she could make dinner and was now walking into her apartment. She shares the apartment with her Father who is currently diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer. After putting the grocery bags down, she walked into her father's bedroom. She smiled when she saw him watching some of his favorite Western movies. "Hi Dad, how are you feeling?" She asked him as she went to help him with his medicine. "I invited FP and his son over dinner. They'll be here in a couple of hours." Alyssa said, smiling to herself at the thought of the two Jones boys coming over. She was excited to have them over, so decided that she was going to make her famous chicken parmesan, which she began to make after she helped her father with his daily medicing routine.

Soon they arrived to the White Wyrm and everyone had disperse and did their own thing, but Sweetpea pulled Ava to the side, where it was secluded from everyone. "What happened at school? Does your brother know? Do I need to kick someone's ass?" He asked her all at once. He hated that he wasn't at her school to protect her or at least try to. "Is there anything me and the Serpents can help with?"

Ava shook her head, “One of the cheerleaders cornered me in the locker room after gym class. She left a bruise on my face, but she ended up with a fat lip and black eye. No, Tony doesn’t know. It’s already over, but thank you.” She smiled up at him, “It wasn’t anything I couldn’t handle.”

FP got out of the shower and pulled on his clothes. He walked out to the living room and looked at Jughead, “You ready?” He asked, he felt like he was going on a first date or something. FP knew it was just Alyssa being thoughtful and offering them dinner.

Jughead nodded, but then he looked at his father. "Relax dad, it's just Alyssa. You're gonna make her feel nervous by you being nervous." He said and grabbed his jacket before walking out of the door to the trailer.

Alyssa just finished setting the table and now she was pacing back and fourth out of nervouness. She has never socialized with FP outside of the bakery, and the few times she went to the White Wyrm. It almost felt like a first date, but Alyssa quickly shook that thought out of her head. Who was she kidding, FP is older and more experienced. He wouldn't want to date someone as young as her, and besides he is trying to get back with his ex-wife so that they could be a family.

Alyssa's thoughts were interrupted when the doorbell rang. She got up and walked over to the front door. Alyssa took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before opening the door to reveal FP and Jughead. "Hey guys, I'm glad you guys came." Alyssa smiled and step to the side to let them inside.

Sweetpea nodded as he lit a cigarette. "Well I'm glad that you are okay and that you stood up for yourself." He said with a smile. "Those weak Northsiders kids need a bit of roughing up and take what they dish out. They are all talk and no bark." He said with a shrug. He then draped his arm around her waist and brought Ava close to his side. "You're tough like us Serpents and you're basically one of us anyway." He paused and took a drag of his cigarette, blowing it in thr opposite direction of them. "Have you ever thought about joining us officially?"

Ava shrugged slightly, “I had to, Tony made sure if I was going to be on the Northside I could take care of myself.” She smiled when he put his arm around her waist, “I never really thought about it before.” A small laugh escaped her lips, “Tony would flip his lid.” Knowing her brother wanted her to be better.

FP rolled his eyes at Jughead’s comment, he sighed as they left. “I’m not nervous, it’s going to be fine, we’re just having dinner,” he said as he drove to Alyssa’s.

Knocking at the door, FP smiled when Alyssa opened the door. He let Jughead walk in first before following him, “Thanks for having us, we’re glad to be here.”

Alyssa smiled, "It's my pleasure, especially with you guys protecting me and my bakery." She said and closed the front door. "I hope you guys like Chicken Parmesan" Alyssa smiled and took the food out of the oven and sat it at the table and then wheeled her dad over to the table. "FP my boy and little Jughead" Alyssa's father, Brett said. "The Serpents are still going on strong right?"

Sweetpea chuckled, "But it would be your decision. Tony can flip out all he wants." He laughed for a bit, "I think it would be cool to join us. Your firery personality will definitely be a nice addition to the Serpents" he said with a genuine smile.

Ava smiled slightly, “I don’t know. I’d have to think about it.” She looked at him, wondering why he was suddenly so interested in her becoming a Serpent.

“That sounds great,” FP said, not able to remember the last time he had an actual home cooked meal. He sat down at the table and looked over at Brett, “That they are, the younger ones sure love going to Alyssa’s bakery after school. We actually just had a few more join us not too long ago.”

"Ahh that's good, I miss being active with the Serpents. I'm glad my little girl created something good for our people, especially for the younger ones. And I'm glad that you are there help protect her bakery from that damn Lodge family." Brett said. "I'm tired of them and the people they hired to do their dirty work to drive us away and make us look bad." He said and then looked at Alyssa who just placed his fully made plate for him. Alyssa smiled and kissed the side lf her dad's forehead before setting the plates she made for FP and Jughead.

Sweetpea nodded. "Do you like living in the Northside more so than our home?" He asked, not looking at her. "Do you not feel safe being here?" He wanted to know why she decided to leave the Southside. Tony keeps telling him that it's for the best, but he wanted to know what Ava really felt.

Ava looked at him, surprised by his questions, “I don’t, I loved living on the Southside, but my parents decided the Northside was the right place for me.” She sighed, “I’d rather be here, I feel safer here than I do on the Northside....”

“And the Serpents miss you, but you know we’ll always have not only your back, but Alyssa’s too,” FP told him. Hearing him mention the Lodge’s, he sighed, “I wouldn’t be too worried about them right now, but we’re watching for them.” He thanked Alyssa once she made his plate.

Alyssa smiled and sat down next to FP once she fixed her plate last. "Dig in everyone." She said and took s bite of her food. "You don't have to worry about anything Dad. I'm not going to let the Lodge family take my bakery away. I own the building and the property. They will have to go to court." She said with a smile, looking down when she felt FP's free hand on her thigh. She smiled softly at the older man before looking at his son. "So FP told me that you are a good writer and your love for Mystery movies and novels." Alyssa paused and smiled softly. "I have a huge collection of both if you'd like to check it out and borrow one from me." She smiled at the younger boy.

Sweetpea nodded, "I don't think it safe either. I mean the kids in your school are treating you badly because they some how know that Tony is in the process of joining the Serpents, which has nothing to do with you other than that he's your brother. They're also are trying to get rid of us in general and it's starting to get more violent wit every event they make to end us." He said then softly sighed. "You know, if you ever need to escape the Northside or just don't feel safe, you can always come to my place. I want to make sure that you are safe."

Ava smiled, knowing that Sweetpea was worried about her safety made her happy. “I’ve thought about coming back to the Southside.” When he mentioned his place, she nodded, “I’ll remember that, I might show up at your door one day soon.”

Listening to Alyssa talk with Brett, FP ate a few bites of his food, “This is delicious, Alyssa.” He placed his hand on her thigh, rubbing it slowly. When she mentioned the Mystery movies and novels, he couldn’t help smiling. FP knew that Jughead would love that.

Alyssa smiled and leaned in to kiss FP's cheek "Thank you." She said and placed her hand on top of his, lacing their fingers together as she continued to eat. "There's plenty more in the kitchen, so please help yourself to seconds and a take home plate." Alyssa said with a smile when saw that Jughead had finished his first plate.

Sweetpea smiled, "My place will be open to you any time." He said as he moved a strand of her hair out of her face. He wanted to lean down to kiss her, but one, he was afraid that Tony would catch them and kick his ass or not be allow the allow to see each other.
