Once they were outside, Ava looked at him, “I was thinking, if we’re going to be at the same school, I dont want to have to hide whatever is going on between us.” She wasn’t worried about Tony, “Tony will get over it.”

Jughead was happy to hear Alyssa’s answer, he couldn’t see a reason for anyone to see what Alyssa was doing was a bad thing. “It’s relaxing. As a Serpent it’s nice to have somewhere to go and know you won’t be bothered.”

Alyssa smiled at Jughead and patted his shoulder. "The Serpents are my family and they have done so much for my dad and me and this bakery is to repay back for all you guys." She said and smiled and looked at Betty. "What about you Betty, what do you feel when you come to the bakery?"

Sweetpea nodded and smiled. "I didn't want to hide us either, I was going to do it if you didn't want your brother to know. But since that's the case then I'm all for it." He smiled and leaned in to kiss her. "So we're officially seeing each other?" He asked her with a smile.

Ava nodded, happy they wouldn’t have to hide anything. “Tony would find out one way or another,” she said, smiling up at him. “We are officially seeing each other,” Ava said in agreement.

Jughead was liking Alyssa more and more every time he talked to her. He could tell she was sincere about what she was saying.

Betty smiled, “Its a safe place, for everyone. I know coming here is a good way to blow off steam from a bad day at school.”

Alyssa smiled at Betty's words and nodded. "That's exactly hiw I envisioned my bakery to be. And so far it is that safe haven for many of my customers such as you two, but there are still people who are trying to destroy what good this place will bring. However, I'm not going to back down, this is my baby, ans I will not let someone take something that I think is good for Riverdale, from me.

Sweetpea smiled and leaned in to kiss Ava, cupping her cheeks. "Good because I dont want to be anything less." He said and then reached down to hold her hands with their fingers interwined. "Are your parents going to be home tonight?"

Ava smiled as they kissed for a moment. “Good. I don’t think so, they spent last night fighting with Tony and they left early this morning. I’m pretty sure they’re gone for the weekend.” She looked up at him, “Why do you ask?”

“Thank you for answering our questions,” Betty smiled. Jughead looked at Alyssa, “I think everyone was right, you’re exactly what Riverdale needs right now and this bakery is a great place.”

Alyssa smiled at the two Riverdale students, "It's my pleasure and I'm glad that everyone agrees. I can't wait to see read the article when it comes out." She said, feeling good about helping out with their school's newspaper. " Would you two like anything? It's my treat." She offered Betty and Jughead.

Sweetpea smiled hearing her answer. "Well I was thinking that you could stay with me for the weekend? So that we could be together instead of you being alone." He said, hoping that she would agree.

Ava couldn’t help smiling when he asked if she wanted to stay with him for the weekend, “I’d love that, I’d get to spend more time with you and I don’t have to worry about Tony being all over me.”

Jughead grinned when Alyssa asked if they wanted anything, “I’ll take one of the chocolate donuts with the vanilla icing on top.” Betty laughed softly, “I’ll take just a plain donut.”

"Coming right up." Alyssa said and got up from the table and went to the two donuts. When she was making her way back to the kids, the door bell chimed, letting her know that a new customer. Alyssa looked up and then rolled her eyes when she saw Alice Cooper storming her way. "Betty, why are you here at this snake infested hell hole, ran by this whore." The older woman said, blantantly insulting Alyssa. "Nice to see you too, Alice." Alyssa said and handed the donuts to Betty and Jughead before walking away, not wanting to deal with Alice's pettiness.

Sweetpea smiled when Ava agreed to stay with him for the weekend. He was ready to have more alone time with her doing whatever without their friends breathing all over them. He laughed at the end of her comment. "Tony needs to find a girlfriend. That would keep him occupied." He joked before hugging Ava, lifting her up and spun them around a little before putting her down and kissed her cheek. "We should probably go back inside before Tony has a stroke." He teased.

“He does, maybe he’ll find one at Riverdale high. The girls aren’t all bad there,” Ava laughed. As they were walking back inside, Ava reached over and took Sweetpea’s hand, lacing their fingers together. She was more than ready to deal with whatever Tony had to say.

Tony saw Sweetpea and Ava walk in, his eyes went to their intertwined hands, “What the hell?” He looked at Ava, “When did this happen?” Tony asked as he crossed his arms over his chest.

Ava hesitated, “Yesterday, after we left here. I like Sweetpea and he’ll take care of me, it’s okay Tony...”

Jughead thanked Alyssa for the donuts. He felt bad when Alice came in and was already trying to start problems with Alyssa. Betty looked at her mom, horrified by the way she was talking about Alyssa, “Mom this is a nice place and Alyssa is a great baker, please don’t cause a scene.”

Alyssa didn't understand why Alice tries so hard to slander Alyssa and anyone who is a member of the Serpents, when she was a member herself at one point. Alyssa knew that despite that some of the members sell weed, the Serpents were heavily misjudged just because they were from the Southside. She felt for Betty, because she knew that the younger girl was open minded while her mom was always out to point out the bad in people just to make herself look good.

Sweetpea looked at Tony. "Look man, you know me. We're best friends and I like your sister. I would never dream if hurting her. You can trust me." He tried to reassure his long time friend. "Although I don't need your permission to be with your sister, I just hope that you will approve of us."

Ava smiled as she listened to Sweetpea, “Before you say anything Tony, I’ve liked Sweetpea for a long time.” She smiled up at her boyfriend, happy that he liked her so much.

Tony sighed, deciding it wasn’t worth a fight and that Ava and Sweetpea seemed happy. “If you are really happy, that’s fine,” he said before directing his attention to Sweetpea, “I mean it, don’t even think about hurting her.”

FP had finished up his work for Fred early for the day. Deciding to stop by and see Alyssa, he parked his truck and got out. He noticed Alice as he was walking in, rolling his eyes he walked over to Alyssa, “How’s it going?”

Alyssa smiled when she looked up to see FP was back. She wanted to lean in to kiss him, but with Alice still around, she didn't want herself or FP to be harassed by the older woman. "It's going well. I just wrapped up my interview with Jughead and Betty. I think I'm I good graces with your boy. He's such a good kid." She smiled at her boyfriend.

Sweetpea nodded, "I promise I won't. You can trust me bro." He reassured his best friend. He felt relieved that Tony was okay with him dating Ava. He leaned in to kiss his girlfriend's cheek before whispering in her ear. "Now that I got your brother's approval. I get to show you off as my girlfriend now."

Ava was beyond relieved to hear that Tony was okay with her relationship with Sweetpea. She blushed a deep red when he whispered he was going to show her off, “Sweetpea.”

FP smiled when she mentioned being in Jughead’s good graces, “Well that’s good. He can be a hard one to get on your side.” He laughed as he looked at her, glad that Jughead was giving her a chance.

Alyssa smiled, "I don't blame him. He's protecting himself from being hurt in the end. Of course I would never hurt him or anyone." She said and looked at Jughead who was reading one of the books he borrowed from her. "He loves you FP, I can see it."

Sweetpea chuckled at his blushing girlfriend. "Ava" he teased her before kissing her cheek once more. "I'm gonna get me a donut, want anything?" He asked her.

Ava nodded, “i’ll Have a donut too, surprise me.” She smiled at him, watching as he got up and walked to the counter. Once Sweetpea was gone, she felt Tony eyeing her, “What brother?” Tony sighed, “You really like him? He’s my friend and all, but really?” He asked, wanting to make sure his sister knew what she was in for. Ava smiled, “I really like him, Anthony.”

FP nodded, “I hope he does, I’m trying to make all this work for him.” He loved his son and just wanted to make things right between the two of them. “He’s doing okay for himself though, he’s got a good head on his shoulder,” FP said as he glanced over at Jug.

Alyssa smiled, "He gets it from you. Sure you made some mistakes, we all do. But I see what you do for your son, the Serpents, Fred, and even me. You're a good man FP and I mean it." She said caressing his cheek before leaning in to kiss him, not caring if Alice or anyone saw or what they have to say.

Sweetpea saw FP and Alyssa kissed when he made his way over to get himself and Ava donuts. He smirked and patted FP's shoulder. "I see you big man." He joked before ordering two red velvet donut for him and two cookies and creme donuts for Ava.

Ava was glad to have the conversation with Tony over, she just wanted to enjoy her time with Sweetpea. Of course, she was sure Tony would change his tune when he found out she was going to be staying with Sweetpea for the weekend.

FP was surprised when Alyssa kissed him, but he wasn’t going to stop her. He pressed his forehead to hers before he felt Sweetpea pat his shoulder, “Killin’ the moment kid.” He laughed as he let Alyssa go and stepped to the side.

Alyssa blushed slightly at Sweetpea's comment and went to get the donuts he had ordered for him and Ava. When she walked back over to the younger boy with to hand his order, Alice came up and pointed her finger at her face. "I knew that you were sleeping with FP. You really are a whore." Alice accused her.

Alyssa rolled her eyes. "Not that it's any of your business with what goes on between me and FP, but what him and I do is none of your concerns. Instead of trying to make me look bad and destroying other people's relationships, why don't you focus on your marriage with your husband." She snapped at Alice. She was tired of her being all holier than thou when she knew that Alice was a conniving bitch.

Sweetpea laughed at FP's comment. "All I'm saying is that, she would make a great Serpent Queen if she joined." He said low enough for FP to hear. He took the box of donuts from Alyssa, thanking her before going back to the table with his friends and girlfriend. "You guys, Alyssa and FP are dating. I think it could be a very good thing for the Serpents. What do you guys think" He said and passed a donut to Ava.

Ava took her donut and started eating it, listening as Sweetpea talked. She had been tossing around the thought of joining the serpents herself, ever since Sweetpea had mentioned it. “It would be, Alyssa would be a great addition for you guys,” she had to agree with her boyfriend, knowing it would benefit them and Alyssa.

FP got in the middle of them, turning his attention to Alice, “You need to leave, if you can’t come in here and treat Alyssa with respect, you don’t deserve to be here.” He was fed up with Alice and her drama, “This is no place for your anti-Southside crap.”

Watching Alice leave, Alyssa sighed and looked at FP. "You know she is going to write about us in the newspaper tomorrow. I might lose customers for it, but I know lots of people from the Southside supports me and the bakery so if they are the only ones who come, then so be it. I mainly built this for us Southsiders." She said and smiled. "What are you doing tonight?" She asked her boyfriend while kissing his cheek and the corner of his mouth.

Everyone at their table nodded in agreement. They all knew how much Alyssa supported the Serpents and have done many kinds things for them. Sweetpea then whispered in Ava's ear "If I become Serpent King, I would want you to be my queen." He said. The thing with Sweetpea is that he had always liked Ava, in fact he loves her and had wanted to be with her for a long time now. He even thought about what it would be like in the future with her being with him as a couple often. And now thst they are dating, he has hope for their relationship to be long lasting.
