Matt frowned then walked out with her, "What is going on Anna?" He asked as he watched her. He didn't like that she was so afraid of her dad, "Is he hurting you?" He asked her quietly. He could tell by the look on her face that she was about to lie. "Fuck Anna you have to tell someone." He said.

Sadie felt him run his fingers through her hair and she knew that he was enjoying himself. She was so use to someone telling her how horrible she was, but Brian seemed to not think that.

Anna frowned and looked up at Matt, "Why?" She gave him a blank stare. Of course it her, but that's all she ever knew so it felt so normal to her. "Is he not supposed too...?" She sat back down at the same table as before and just stared into her lemonade.

Brian gasped and relaxed into the couch and shut his eyes. "God damn, Sadie..." He smiled, trying to catch his breath. He pulled his jeans back up and ran a hand through his hair. "You keep this stuff a secret, okay?" He felt like a huge creep saying that, but he didn't want anything to go wrong until he had her fully in his grasp.

Sadie nodded when he said for her to keep it a secret. She wonder why she had to do that if it was normal to do what they just did. She pulled her shirt on and got up, sitting next to him on the couch. Was she aloud to sit on his couch? She knew that the man she was with before she said wasn't.

Brian leaned over and kissed her on the forehead. "Things like this are intimate and just to be kept between two people." He told her, hoping she would listen. "Do you need a drink now?" He asked, getting up.

Matt frowned, "It is not your fault that guy took you and you are not disgusting." He said. He took her hands, "Why don't we go get something to eat that way we can get away from here." He said.

Sadie nodded, "Yes please. Water is fine." she said. She watched as he went to his kitchen then ran her fingers through her hair as she sat on his couch. She was worried about what her parents would do if they found out.

Anna didn't want to admit how nice getting away from here sounded. "Okay." She nodded, feeling her face heat up when he took her hands. They got up and Matt still held her hand all the way to his car.

Brian brought her back a glass of water and sat down next to her. "Are you ready to go home?" He asked, chewing on his lip.

Matt walked to his car, then got in with her. "What kind of food would you like to eat?" He asked her. He knew that she was sheltered from a lot.

Sadie shrugged, "Not really." she said. She didn't want to go back to that place. She just wanted to avoid her parents all together.

Anna looked down at her hands, "Pizza?" She could never have pizza and even now her mom said it was to unhealthy.

Brian nodded, "That's okay. We can stay here a little longer." He wanted so much just to take her now but her parents knew she was here, so he couldn't.

Matt nodded, "Alright pizza sounds good." He said as he began to drive. He took her to the pizza place and parked before he got out and took her inside to the table.

Sadie nodded, "I don't want to go to their house." She said. "I hate it there." she whispered.

They walked into the pizza parlor and Anna was honestly in shock. She couldn't believe how many different kinds of pizza there were. "C-can we get the one with chicken and bell pepper slices?" She asked quietly, afraid he wouldn't want to get that.

Brian frowned and pushed a piece of her hair back behind her ear. "Why do you hate it so much? Isn't it better than where you were?" He asked.

Matt nodded, "Of course we can. We can get whatever you want." He said. He ordered their pizza and drinks then looked at her.

Sadie shrugged, "It is better, but it doesnt make me feel.better. They treat me so badly and they make me so uncomfortable." She said.

Anna couldn't help but constantly be afraid every time someone asked her something. The whole time she grew up, she was used to being struck or screamed at whenever she opened her mouth. She smiled up at Matt, "Thanks!"

Brian listened to her and rested his hand on her thigh, giving it a comforting squeeze. "They treat you badly?" He asked, "How?" He never pictured James and Monica to be the abusive type, but then again you never really knew how people were behind closed doors.

Matt smiled at her when she got all excited, "I hope you like what you ordered." He said as the pizza was brought out. He took a piece and began to eat.

Sadie bit her bottom lip lightly, "They just say terrible things to me." She said. Sadie thought about the times her mom belittled her because she was mad. "I think they are mad because I am not what they wanted." She said.

Anna took a slice of pizza and one piece of bread, and after eating that she felt so full. Before, when she was locked up, all she was fed everyday was a peanut butter sandwich and a glass of water. Every day. "I'm sorry." She frowned, "I can't eat anymore."

Brian frowned and took her hand and rubbed his fingers over her knuckles. "It'll get better. Whether that's at your parents house, or maybe you'll find someone else. You'll be happy eventually. I promise." He told her.

Matt smiled, "That's alright. You can take some home with you." He said. He knew she really needed to get use to eating again. Matt took a sip of his soda and began to eat again.

When Matt mentioned going home, Anna felt a rock hit her stomach. That was the last thing she wanted to do. Sometimes she laid awake at night, half wishing she was still locked up in a basement. She especially wished that when she heard her father coming down the hall. "Yeah, of course." She bit her lip.

Brian frowned, "Hey, don't think that. You belong somewhere. It just takes time to find where that is." Brian couldn't help but think that he knew where that place was, she belonged with him. He pulled his hand up to her cheek and let his finger brush over her jaw. Realizing that might've made her uncomfortable, he withdrew his hand and bit his lip, "Sorry."

Matt smiled, "Alright good." He said a she put some in the box for her. He looked at her, "Are you sure you are okay?" He asked before he finished his drink.

Sadie looked at him when he pulled away, "It's okay." She whispered. She felt like his touch was calming to her. Sadie ran her fingers through her hair as she watched him.

Anna looked up at him, "Yeah Im okay." She smiled. "Thank you for the food." The last thing Anna wanted to do was go back home. She didn't want to have to deal with her father being the creep he was and her mother being overly nice as if she knew what was happening and was trying to make up for it.
