Kaylin glared at him playfully, “I can handle gore, just not jump scares.” She told him as she got comfortable again. She had always had a hard time with jump scares in movies, it never made sense to her. No matter how much blood, or whatever sick way someone died in the movie, she could handle it, but if something jumped out that was a different story.

Ryker smirked, "Isn't this movie mostly jump scares?" He asked, looking over at her. He hadn't sat down and watched a movie in a long time. He mostly just watched tv shows or turned the tv on as backround noise when he was doing something else.

Kaylin shrugged, “I’ve never seen it before.” She told him honestly, laughing softly. “I just thought it looked interesting and I think we’re already almost half way through so I might as well finish it, right?” Kaylin asked as she looked at him.

Ryker nodded, "Yea might as well." He said as he watched the movie. Ryker started to doze off as the movie started to get near the end. He ended up falling asleep next to Kaylin with her against him while she watched the movie.

Kaylin noticed Ryker falling asleep as it got closer to the end of the movie. Her own eyes were starting to drift shut before the credits began to roll. She let a soft yawn escape her lips before she fell asleep next to Ryker.

Ryker slept on the couch with Kaylin til the next morning. Mina walked down the stairs, finding her daddy and Kaylin asleep on the couch. She smiled as she touched her dad, giggling as he jumped.

Ryker woke up when he felt someone touch him, feeling Kaylin's body on his. He looked at Mina, "What are you doing down here?" He asked as he shifted a little on the couch.

Mina smiled, "It's morning daddy." She said, looking at Kaylin as her eyes opened, "Good morning." She said before she went to the kitchen, "Daddy I want cereal!" She yelled.

Ryker stretched and looked at Kaylin, "Sorry I didn't think we would fall asleep like that."He said, laughing as he sat up some. He looked back when he heard Mina yell for him, "I'm coming." He said as he got up.

Kaylin slowly opened her eyes, seeing Mina in front of her, “Morning.” She sat up, rubbing her eyes. “It’s alright, I’m sorry I fell asleep,” She laughed softly as she stood up and stretched her arms above her head. Seeing Ryker head towards the kitchen, Kaylin hesitated before following, “I’m guessing you don’t need me today? If not, I’ll be going home.” She said with a small smile on her face.

Ryker looked at her once he poured some cereal for Mina. "You can go home. I won't need you back here until tomorrow morning." He told her. He knew that spending the day with Mina was going to be good for him.

Kaylin took off her sunglasses as she walked into the country club. Seeing her mother, she gave her a quick hug and started glancing around in hopes of seeing Ryker. Kaylin smiled when she caught a glimpse of him across the room. Her mother, Angie, was asking about her new job. “Mom, it’s fine, Mina is wonderful and Ryker is a great boss,” Kaylin told her.

Ryker stood with his friends and his dad, drinking a beer as the party went on around them. He glanced over, seeing Kaylin with her mom. He excused himself and moved over to them, smiling as her mom greet him. He gave her a small hug, "How are you?" He asked her. Her mom smiled, "I am going to say hi to your mother." She said, purposely leaving Ryker alone with Kaylin. He turned his attention to her and smiled, "You look beautiful by the way." He said. "Can I get you a drink?" He asked her.

Seeing Ryker walk over to them, Kaylin brushed some of her hair behind her ear. Listening as her mother spoke, she smiled softly as she walked away. “Why, thank you, you look handsome,” Kaylin told him. She looked up at him, “I’d love a drink.”

Ryker moved through the crowd with her to the bar, "Whar would you like?" He asked her as he waited for her to order. He looked at the bartender, "Just put her drinks on my tab." He said. He looked at her, "So your mom seemed happy to see me." He told her. He looked over as someone walked by them with food on a tray. He took one of the hordervies then watched as it was offered to Kaylin.

Kaylin got to the bar and ordered a strawberry daiquiri. She thanked the bartender before turning her attention back to Ryker, “Yeah, your mom speaks so highly of you that my mom loves you too.” She laughed softly as she sipped her drink. She took one of the hordervies from the tray.

Ryker chuckled, "It could be that." He said as he ordered another beer. He leaned against the bar, "So did you enjoy your first full week of taking care of Mina?" He asked her. He knew she seemed to be having a good time. Though he liked having her around too. Ryker took a swig of his beer, watching her drink her drink. He looked over as the head guy of the country club stepped onto the stage and began talking about donations.

"We would like to thank the Jackson's family for their donation of one hundred thousand dollars to our charity." He said.

Ryker smirked as people looked at his father and him. Ryker took a sip of his beer and looked at Kaylin, his eyes looking at her legs before he looked at her eyes.

When Ryker mentioned Mina, Kaylin couldn’t help smiling. Through the week she had started to really bond with Mina and had grown very fond of her, “It was great, Mina is amazing.”

Kaylin smiled slightly when she heard the donation from Ryker’s family. Being so close to Ryker when everyone looked between him and his father made her slightly uncomfortable. Kaylin had never been much for attention, especially from the people at the country club.

The country club just wasn’t ever her scene, the girls there only talked about which guys had the most money and most of them had their eyes on Ryker for the longest time.

Ryker noticed she seemed uncomfortable, "Is something wrong?" He asked her. Ryker watched as someone moved past them. He put his arm on the small of Kaylin's back and moved her out of the way. He looked down at her and smiled as she looked at him.

“I don’t deal well with a lot of attention,” Kaylin said softly. She was embarrassed to admit it, but it was true. She blushed softly when she felt his arm on the small of her back.

Ryker smiled, "Really? Thst surprises me considering who your parents are." He told her. He didnt move his hand away though, "I understand though." He told her as he watched the people looking at them.

Kaylin nodded, “I know, most people don’t expect it.” She laughed softly, “Truthfully, I’ve never liked attention all that much.” Kaylin decided to keep her back turned to everyone that was looking at them, hoping she wouldn’t think about them.

Ryker looked at her, "I guess I just kind of got use to it." He told her. He watched as her mom looked over at them. Ryker took a sip of his beer, "You want to go for a walk?" He asked her. He knew that leaving the room would make her feel better. "We can fo walk through the garden." He said.
