When Mina asked if she was staying, Kaylin nodded, “I am, I love pizza too.” She smiled at Mina before glancing over at Ryker, finishing off her water. Kaylin pulled her phone out, “I almost forgot, I took a few picture today.” She sent the pictures to Ryker, there were a few of Mina on the swing, playing in her play room, and one of her when she fell asleep on the couch.

Ryker smiled as he looked through the pictures of Mina that Kaylin sent him. He wished he could be there all the time to watch Mina. He looked over at Mina left them, then looked at Kaylin, "Thanks." He said. He hated that he had to leave Mina alone with someone else for so long. "It just sucks having to be away from her like I always am." He explained.

“I thought it would be a good way to keep you up to date on her days,” Kaylin said. Seeing Mina go to the other room, she sighed, “I can’t imagine how much you must miss her while you’re working.”

Ryker nodded, "Yea I feel like I miss so much when I am away." He told her. "It's like she learns stuff over night and I can't keep up with it." He said, laughing a little. He was glad that Mina was able to absorb information like she did though.

Kaylin nodded, “I can only imagine.” Hearing him talk about Mina, she sighed, “Honestly, I’ve heard the same thing from parents that are around their children twenty four seven.” Kaylin didn’t like that Ryker felt guilty about missing out on things with Mina. She didn’t want to overstep, so she decided not to say anything to him.

Ryker smiled, "I think that children just go up way to fast though." He said. He sighed as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I guess it is good that I have you to take pictures for me though." He told her. Ryker took a sip of his water, "You really do well with Mina. I can tell she likes having you around." He told her.

Kaylin nodded, “They do, I hear a lot that kids grow up in the blink of an eye.” She smiled softly, “I’ll take as many pictures of her as you want me to. I hope you know I really like taking care of Mina.”

Ryker smiled, "I'm glad you enjoy it." He said. He heard the doorbell and went to go get the pizza, paying for it. He walked into the kitchen, "Mina! Dinner." He called. He smiled as she came downstairs and then heard her go into the bathroom to wash her hands. Ryker walked to find her and smiled as he helped her dry her hand. He walked out with her and got her food for her, before letting her sit and eat. Ryker got some food and looked at Kaylin, "Do you want breadsticks?" He asked her.

“I really do,” Kaylin smiled. When he asked if she wanted breadsticks, Kaylin nodded, “Just one is fine.” She took her plate of food from him and sat back down as she started eating.

Ryker handed her the plate then sat down with them and began to eat once he got Mina a drink. He ate his food and when he finished he cleaned up his plate. He looked at Mina, "We need to get you ready for bed soon." He told her. He looked out the window as it began to downpour outside. He had always liked storms for some reason.

Kaylin finished her food and took care of her plate. She grabbed her purse and told Mina good night. Kaylin placed her phone inside her purse and grabbed her keys, “Good night, Ryker.”

Ryker walked with her to the door, seeing it was still raining, "You know if you want to wait til the rain dies down you can hang out for a little. You are more than welcome to watch tv while I get Mina ready for bed." He told her. He didn't like the idea of her being on the roads when it was raining so hard.

Kaylin thought for a moment before nodding, “I think I’ll wait then.” She smiled before setting her purse down and walking into the living room and sitting down on the couch.

Ryker smiled, "Alright." He said as he turned the tv on for her and handed her the remote. He walked up to find Mina and helped her get her bath and get dressed for bed. He walked into her bedroom with her, watching as she climbed into bed. Ryker sat down on her bed with her and chuckled as she held one of her books out to him and asked him to ready it. "Sure." He said as he got comfortable with her. Ryker sat there and began to read to her, seeing her falling asleep slowly.

Kaylin sat down on the couch and watched tv as Ryker went upstairs with Mina. She could just barely hear Ryker reading to her upstairs. Kaylin glanced out the window, seeing the rain was still coming down hard. She decided to get comfortable on the couch and hope the rain would let up soon.

Ryker smiled as he slipped away from Mina who was asleep now. He tucked her in then turned off her lamp. He walked downstairs, finding Kaylin on the couch. Ryker sat down beside of her, "What did you find to watch?" He asked. He normally waited for Mina to go to sleep before he watched tv.

Kaylin glanced over when Ryker sat down, “Some horror movie, I didn’t catch the name.” She laughed softly, “Unless you’d rather watch something else?” She held the tv remote out to him.

Ryker shook his head, "No this is fine." He said, relaxing next to her. He watched the movie, feeling her inch closer to him as the movie got scarier. He had to admit that he liked the closeness of her body to his. It was something he had been wanting lately.

“Okay,” Kaylin said softly as she turned her attention back to the tv. She was fine through the gore of the movie, it was just the parts that made her jump. Kaylin could tell when something was going to jump out and before it did, she quickly hid her face in Ryker’s chest, without thinking. When she realized what she had done, she inched away from him, “I’m so sorry, that was inappropriate...”

Ryker chuckled as she spoke, "It's alright." He said. "Technically you are not on the clock." He teased her. He got comfortable again as they watched the movie. "Jump scares apparently aren't your thing." He joked.
