Severus spent the night in a small corner of the dorm, he wasn't the most popular kid in the dorm. He prefered to simply stay out of the way, he didn't want to deal with the whole death eater, situation that sometimes occurred in the dorm. He wasn't sure whether he wanted to join, but often felt pressured by the others in Slytherin.

As the morning rose, he headed to his classes. He focused on Defense against the Dark arts, always curious about curses and counter-curses. As his free period came around, he made his way to the Library. He was wondering whether Euphenia would be studying in there or not.

Spending the better part of her day studying would make anyone think she was actually a Ravenclaw, but she found solace in the knowledge she didn't know. One step closer to her end goal, and one step closer to finding the cure for curse-induced insanity. Her parents being the cause of some of these incidences. It infuriated her, how they could so willingly sign their life over to a cause that would ruin their family name they worked so hard to protect.

Severus smiled as he saw Euphenia, he moved over towards her. "Afternoon Euphenia," he said softly, as he moved to sit down next to her. "How were your classes this morning?" he asked quietly. He put his books onto the table.

"They went well," she said as she looked at him, "What about you Severus?" she questioned with a small smile as she looked up to her Slytherin counterpart.

Severus frowned slightly when she asked about his classes, "I had Charms with Gryffindor, this morning," he said a hint of deep pain evident in his tone. He looked back to his book studying the pages intently. "What are you studying today?" he asked after a prolonged moment of silence.

"Transfiguration," she told him with a small scowl, her worst subject she was absolute rubbish at it and it made her want to bang her head into the nearest wall. Of course, it had practical uses, but she didn't want to do it - but only because it was her weakest subject.

Severus nodded slightly, "well I'd offer to help out, but It's not my best subject either," he said. He smiled weakly, "but feel free to ask me if you need help," he said. He liked studying with her, he seemed to be beginning to fall for her, at least, being near her made him miss Lily less.

Studying was kind of a drug for Euphenia, it was her gateway and promised future away from her blood purist family. She bit her bottom lip and tapped her fingers on the table as she read over the text and scribbled down some notes to try for later. "I was wondering, Severus... do you want to go get some butterbeer later, I'm feeling restless..."

Severus sat quietly as the pair studied, he looked up when she spoke. It warmed his heart that she offered to go get butterbeer together. "Yes that sounds lovely Euphenia," he said lightly. He smiled, and closed his book, "thank you," he added.

Flashing him a small smile she nodded, "No worries, Severus," she said to him as she picked up her quill and began to scribble down some notes in the margins of her previous work. Trying to figure out what she'd done wrong before. "It's our last year, hard to believe,"

Severus nodded lightly, "I know, I can barely believe it, hopefully we'll perfect the potion before we part ways," he said softly.
