For You're Buying Junked Lives, my playlist is actually pretty short:

    "Situations" - Escape The Fate
"Reverse This Curse" - Escape The Fate
"Cute Without The 'E' (Cut From The Team)" - Taking Back Sunday
"Make Damn Sure" - Taking Back Sunday

I just play it on repeat for hours as I write :p

For Paradise Lost, I actually don't have a playlist. I tend to turn off the music when I'm writing it, which is weird.

If I have a story titled after a specific song, usually I'll put that song on repeat when I'm writing it or posting it.

Or if I come across another song that weirdly fits the story better, or just that chapter, then I'll listen to that non-stop for three hours and not even notice till I stop to take a bathroom/food break. Very Happy

For fucked up horror/sad stories I like to listen to Three Days Grace and Rob Zombie most often.

For fantasy, sort of "forest based" stories, I like to listen to Epica, Nightwish, Sirenia, Lacuna Coil, and Kamelot.

For teen-y angst stories (drugs, anger, boys, drama), I enjoy listening to The Pretty Reckless, Zeds Dead, Mac Miller, MGMT, Bright Eyes, etc.

For depressing stories (Long list) I like listening to La Dispute, Iron & Wine, Gregory and the Hawk, Brandon Flowers, Fleet Foxes, Wolf Parade, Frog Eyes, Built to Spill,Bright Eyes, Rogue Wave, Foster the People, Stars, and Evanescence. c:
That's about all I write about so I hope someone can make use of my long list of bands! I know they've helped me and I'm always open to new bands to listen to for writing inspiration. :)

Usually, I listen to classic rock. First of all, it's my genre of choice, second of all, my story is based of the era.

Everything varies on the mood & what type of fic I'm writing. But usually, as long as I'm listening to music, it makes things flow better. Music is something I have to have on when I'm creating anything.

Lately, Stabbing Westward has been influencing a lot of my stuff. Along with Deadstar Assembly of course.

Chantal Kreviazuk's Feels like Home To Me
    Lucinda William's Lake Charles
Janis Joplin's Me and Bobby McGee
    Brad Paisley's Then
Evanescence's every song I can get on my ipod or on cd...
Miranda Lambert's House that built Me
The Band Perry's If I Die Young

Those are just a few but I've noticed those play a bigger role than they did when I was younger.

When I was writing Tortured souls, Nina Simone's song Four Women and Talib Kweli's, remake/remix on it called For Women were the top songs that inspired me to write.

I listed to a lot of Tyler the Creator when I was writing Souls of the Damned because Tyler spits that evil shit.
