Why? by Avril Lavigne inspired my Ryden, Virgin Lips
I listen to alot of t.A.T.u when I write Holding My Last Breath
And Heart Atack was inspired by SUM41's Heart Attack.

When I write my vampire Frerard, I listen to
    Lies by Evanescence
    The Last Sunrise by Aiden
The leaving Song Pt. 2 by AFI
Songs like that just remind me of Vampires so much.

I've been making playlists for characters in my new story.

    For Caroline:
A lot of instrumental pieces. Esp. Bach.
Chaconne from Partia no. 2 n D Minor and the first movement of Concerto in A Minor for Four Pianos and Strings, both by J.S. Bach.
Suicide Scherzo (Ninth Symphony, Second Movement, Abridged) from my second favorite sountrack, A Clockwork Orange.

    For Orlagh:
More instrumental stuff, but it's lighter.
Caraçena by Billy Whelan and some other really jumpy Irish stuff, which works really well for Le Covenue in general.

Maybe this is just because I got the soundtrack last night and I totally adore it, but some stuff off the TMNT soundtrack really works, as well.

Red Flag - Billy Talent. Not only one of my new favorite songs, but amazing for describing la Fée.
Black Betty - Big City Rock. In the movie, this song is playing in the background in my favorite scene. Somehow, I see it as an amazing battle scene song.

That's all I have right now, but while I'm writing, I'll probably find others.

For my story "Broken Lives" I like listening to Meat Loaf and sometimes Pink Floyd beforehand. Chapter II is completely inspired by the Pink Floyd song "Comfortably Numb". Chapter III is loosely inspired by The Beatles song "Dr. Robert".

And when I was writing Burn Marks. I was listening to all of Viva La Cobra by Cobra Starship and From Under the Cork Tree by Fall Out Boy.

Less Than Three by Oh, Hush! was the soundtrack to a lot of my later work (last Ryden drabble, unposted Gabilliam oneshot)
You Are The Moon by The Hush Sound I listened to while writing another unposted drabble.
Sunsets doesn't have a soundtrack because a lot was written at school and from midnight-3 in the morning.

Protect Me... Was written by the Placebo discography put on shuffle. Every song that struck me got used in one chapter.

Oh, Emetophobia! was written by the same-titled song by Showbread and the Klaxons on repeat.

Say It, Lover, Say It was written by listening to The Misfits' Saturday Night, The Sharpest Lives, Sleep and This Is How I Disappear up until now. Now I have to change the songs. x]

It's Not A Mistake... was written while listening TBS, old My Chem, Misfits and Audioslave.

Detention Boy was just a lot of FBR, trance, electronica and classical music. Weird.

Music in itself helps me write, not really certain songs, unless it's a song that inspired me to write something. That doesn't really happen a lot anymore so I usually listen to Paramore, both Riot! and All We Know Is Falling. The latter is better though, I have seriously sat and wrote nonstop for the whole CD.

The thing with me is, I prefer listening to songs I don't know very well or don't really sing to that much to listen to while writing. It's less of a distraction if I don't feel so compelled to sing my heart out. So, the main bands I listen to are Paramore, Pencey Prep, and Pinkly Smooth.

Weird, they all start with Ps. I never noticed that before. XD

    I listen to whatever's playing.

Lots of The Hush Sound for the more descriptive pieces, nothing if I'm writing during a class, Imogen Heap sometimes, Fall Out Boy, and right now I adore that song they used in Rugrats in Paris byCeline Dion Sinéad O'Connor (who put the other woman in my head?!- When You Love<3. Lorene Drive is also a goodie... anything I love at that moment really helps me... especially if singing along's involved.

I listen to a lot of weird crap. For Cave I : Xander, I was listening to more Utada Hikaru than humanly allowed. The second Cave was Adenine and it was Red Jumpsuit Aparatus - Face Down, Seventeen Ain't So Sweet, and Damn Regret. Fancy got anything Bowling for Soup.

Most of the time when I'm writing, I listen to movie-score music, by people like Hans Zimmer, who did Pirates of the Caribbean and Gladiator and stuff like that. I love the way the music creates a good writing atmosphere, because a lot of it you can connect with sort of thing.
some of the music from Pirates, you feel as if you're there. Some of it makes you feel drunk, some of it makes you feel nervous, and hell, some even makes you feel sea-sick.
And also, sometimes why I'm writing an MCR fic, I like to listen to them, because it makes me feel closer and more connected to them in some stupid way.

And I was writing part of a new story [the redo of We Are Therapy, We are Love] in the car and I wrote most of it to Don't You Know Who I Think I Am?; FOB.

Look Straight At Me is always written to a weird combination of songs.
Devil In a Midnight Mass by Billy Talent and Our Ride to the Rectory by Team Sleep were pretty inspiring,
but there was also some inexplicable The Medic Droid, Inside It's Raining by Art of Dying, Crazy Bitch by
Buckcherry, a loooot of The Bled, Afterlife by A7x, and Gallows.

Porcelain Hearts was born out of and written mainly to (surprisingly enough) Porcelain Hearts and Hammers For Teeth by The Bled, The City Below by 36 Crazyfists, Kidding Ourselves by Stabilo and I Know, I Know by Tegan and Sara, and for Desperados, Slow Motion by Third Eye Blind and for some reason, Walking With A Ghost by Tegan and Sara.

Apart from that there aren't really any songs I use for specific stories. But for everything else I love Broken Wings by Bleed The Dream, Talk Show Host by Radiohead, Hide and Seek and Hallelujah by Imogen Heap, Cannonball and 9 Crimes by Damian Rice and pretty much everything by Placebo, but specifically Running Up That Hill, Teenage Angst and Follow The Cops Back Home. And I think I'll be using Heaven Help Us for inspiration forever.

    Yup.

When writing on ”A Taste of Peppermint”, which is a MCR fan-fic, I listen to their music (mainly the songs on The Black Parade) because that’s my inspiration for that particular story.

And when I’m writing on “Billie Joe decided to shut the door to his past, once and for all" I listen to American Idiot (the whole album) a lot but also the albums “Follow the Leader” and “Take a Look in the Mirror” by Korn, a bunch of songs by Papa Roach and all Linkin Park’s songs.

Otherwise I just listen to whatever when writing really. Because I just can’t stand it when it’s all quite, it makes me loose my focus . The Matches is a favourite though but anything in my play list will do. It’s mainly background sound anyway.

I actually can't listen to music when I'm writing.
I can't have any noise. It distracts me. -_-
Guess I've got a one track mind.
