Glitter and Gold

Ariana watched him for a moment, "yeah mine was pretty good, really busy" she told him, falling silent as she watched over him. "Is everything okay?" She asked gently. She could see he was tense and from the sighs he kept letting out it didn't seem like that stress was disapating.

Stanley smiled slowly making his way towards the theatre. "I'm glad your week was good, I'm sorry about visiting you at work, I didn't realise you weren't expecting me," he said gently.

He looked across at her and nodded lightly, when she asked if everything was okay. He just had a bit of built up stress. A couple of his businesses overseas had reported losses, and he'd been busy dealing with them all week. Additionally he was beginning to long for her physical touch, and some physical intimacy with her.

Ariana shook her head gently "don't worry about it Stan, Please. It's not your fault, I personally didn't even realise until we were in the room that I would feel uncomfortable about it" she said gently, her voice growing quieter as she spoke. The fear only dawned on her that perhaps he felt he needed something like that, and what if he decided that he didn't wish to pay her anymore, she had already cut back her hours at the club she would be fucked.

Her smile faltered slightly as he simply nodded in response to her question. She nibbled on her lip slightly wondering if she needed to be more Skye and less Ariana. She linked his arm a little tighter with his as they found their seats, smiling at him nonstop.

Stanley smiled and slipped into his seat, he looked out at the theater. "Still I'm sorry for putting you in that situation, in the first place," he said softly. He smiled and let her arm go, leaving his hand beside the rest, "I really do appreciate having someone interesting to spend my time with once a week," he said softly.

As the play started Stanley's focus shifted towards the show. He sat back, leaving it up to her, how intimate she wanted to be.

Ariana smiled softly, letting the darkness pool in around her as her eyes followed the actors onstage, although she wasn't truly focusing on the show. Slowly, she let her hand rest on his knee, giving it a little squeeze, her eyes never leaving the stage. She didn't want to give him a false sense of hope of physical intimacy, but she figured some friendly touches may go a long way.

Stanley sat through the play, intrigued by the rendition of it. He felt her hand squeeze his knee gently, and felt relieved that she seemed to be becoming more comfortable around him. As the curtains fell, and the lights came back up, he gave the cast a round of applause, before turning to look at her.

"Well that was a pleasant show, I hope you enjoyed your night Ariana," he said gently. He stood up, offering her his hand to help her to her feet.

Ariana smiled, taking his hand gently as she stood up. "I did enjoy my night, very much so. Thank you Stan" she told him with a warm smile, keeping her hand in his as they walked towards the car. She checked her watch as they walked, realising it was only 10pm.

"So you still have two hours Stan, would you like to do something else or keep it for another day?" She asked him softly, stopping to turn and face him as they reached the car.

Stanley walked with her out to his car, and opened her door for her. He paused for a moment, surprised it was still so early. He looked down at her, "Well, how would feel about coming back to my place for drink and a relax?" he asked quietly. He hoped that she would feel safe enough with him to come back to his place, otherwise, he was happy to go to a bar for a little while.

Ariana bit on her lip, shifting her weight from one foot to the other for a moment as she thought. "Yeah okay" she agreed softly, offering g him a mildly unsure smile as she sat in to the car, hoping she wouldn't regret this decision. She checked her phone quickly to make sure the sitter hadn't gotten in touch and to check she had enough battery to last another little while.

Stanley smiled a reassuring smile as he closed the door. He walked around and climbed in before driving towards his home. "Thank you for trusting me," he said gently, "It means alot," he added. He pulled into the garage of his spacious two story house, before climbing out of the car, and getting the door for her.

He led her into the main lounge of his large home, and the lights flicked on as he moved into the room. "So would you like a wine or anything?" he asked gently.

Ariana looked around his house in amazement, she had only ever dreamed of living somewhere as fancy as that. "I'll have a small glass of white please, I have class in the morning" she told him kindly, biting on her lip, as she looked around the room. She was a little happy to see no photos of a wife or kids around, at least he hadn't been lying g to her about that.

"This place is amazing" she said kindly.

Stanley smiled gently, "I'm glad you like it," he said calmly. He moved into his kitchen and poured her a small glass of wine. He followed her towards the couch, "So would you be more comfortable on the couch, or there a hot tub on the balcony upstairs," he asked gently, as he handed her the wine.

He clapped his hands, and a stereo started up, playing low slow songs, to prevent awkward silence.

Ariana took the drink from him, clearing her throat softly. " No, the couch is just fine, but thank you" she told him, getting a small fright when he clapped his hands together starting the radio. "So uh, how did you get in to your line of work?" She asked him sweetly, twirling her hair on her finger softly.

Stanley nodded gently, and moved to sit down on the couch on the opposite end to her, imagining she'd move closer as she become more comfortable. He smiled softly, "well you know it's there if you ever want to use it," he commented. He looked her over again, enjoying her elegance, "well it all started with a small simple idea, an idea to make lives easier, once that product was successful, I decided to branch out," he said.

Ari nodded with a smile "thank you very much" she said softly, smoothing out her dress as she looked around the room a little bit more. "ThTs really cool, it's great that your mind works in that way that you can just create an idea and implent it, id love to be able to do that" she said, looking him in the eye as he spoke.

Stanley smiled and nodded also looking her in the eye as they spoke. "Yeah, I've made some bad moves aswell, lost heaps of money, but that's part of the learning experience," he said gently. He chuckled softly, "I'm sure you'll be able to do that, in time,"

He lounged back, reaching to pour himself a scotch, which was sat on the table beside him. "What do you think of my decorating? honest opinion," he asked.

Ari nodded softly, sipping on her wine as he told her about how he lost money and such. She hadn't realised how tired she was u til she started sipping the wine, it was having much more of an effect on her than a single glass of wine should. She placed it down on the table gently, laughing softly as she looked around the room.

"The decor is great... For a bachelor pad" she teased softly, standing up to walk around the room a little.

Stanley smiled gently, watching her walk around. "Thanks, I try to keep things simple, yet elegant," he said lightly. He sipped his drink some more. He was glad to have her in his home, he hoped she'd be comfortable to visit more often.

Ari smiled, looking over the photos on his mantel piece, standing up on her tiptoes to see. "who's that?" She asked, turning her head to look at him as she pointed at one of the photos, brushing her blonde hair behind her shoulder. Her eyes were growing a little heavy from the wine, but looked more sultey than tipsily sleepy.

Stanley stood up and walked over to her, he glanced at the photo. "Oh that's my dad, he always drove me to be better," he said lightly. He put his arm around her waist, and pulled her close. "When did you have to get home?' he asked her.
