Glitter and Gold

Ari frowned slightly as she sat next to him . "Stanley... I'd prefer if you still refer to me as Skye in here.. okay?" She asked him gently before tossing her blonde hair behind her shoulder and smiling at him, the over-confident, act like you own the room smile she had spent hours practicing when she got the job.

"So you're busy with work?" She asked, a little surprised at how his eyes remained locked with hers as she leaned over the table. "I'm pretty good, I have my first mock case next week" she told him.

Stanley nodded gently, "oh of course my apologies, Skye," he said lightly. He reached for her hand, "yeah trying to catch up with the goings-on of the other ventures now I've got time," he said. He quickly glanced over her body, before looking back at her.

"I'm sure you'll do amazingly with your case," he said. He smiled, "so would you like a drink of water, or anything?" he asked.

Skye nodded kindly "you'll have to tell me all about them on our next date" she said with a little laugh, shifting in her seat as he held on to her hand. She took a quick glance at the clock on the wall, hoping that Stanley wouldn't notice. She didn't want him to feel rushed by her she just knew if she sat chatting for too long her manager would scold her.

"Yeah I hope so, I've had some extra time to put more work in to it, so thank you for that" she told him, giving his hand a squeeze. "I'm good for a drink, thank you though"

Stanley nodded lightly and smiled at her. "I will tell you all about it next time," he said lightly. He sat back, "would it make you uncomfortable to give me a dance?" he asked softly.

He wondered whether she would find it strange to do it for someone she was getting to know.

Skye smiled as he said he would tell her all about it, giving his hand a little squeeze. She thought for a second "I can give you a dance" she said, her voice low. She didn't want to let him down, but she felt guilty about all the money he was giving her... And now that she knew him a little... Being paid to dance by him felt just a little seedy. "You don't have to spend all this money on me you know" she told him softly.

Stanley smiled softly, "believe me being able to spend time with you, is worth it," he said softly. He kissed her hand lightly. He placed his hand on her leg gently, "let's make it a quick dance today though, so you can finish on time," he said softly.

Skye smiled softly and lead him toward the usual back room. She thought it was kind of sweet that he remembered how much she wanted to finish early . "Do you want to read this?" She asked holding out the clipboard with prices to him sweetly as she get everything together for his dance. It felt much different to any she'd done before, now that she knew him, and knew that he knew who she really was made things a little awkward, but she tried her best to push past it.

Stanley followed behind her, his eyes looking over her exquisite form again. He sat down in the seat, "how about we just make it $80, today, and if you begin to feel uncomfortable feel free to stop," he said softly. He sat back and relaxed, waiting for her to start when she was ready. He could sense she was slightly more tense than the first few times, "seriously, don't worry about offending me," he said softly.

Skye nodded happily, getting him to sign the form as she set the music she knew he liked playing, listening as he told her not to be afraid of offending him. She began to dance slowly, keeping her back to him her eyes shut as she gyrated her hips against his lap. When she eventually turned around she couldn't bring herself to look him in the eye as her body moved against him. The 80 dollars was only a 15 minute dance which she just about made it through. "I'm sorry Stan.. it's just, knowing you... Something about dancing for you here, as Skye.. it's just making me feel a little word" she said softly, rubbing the back of her neck.

Stanley sat back, and enjoyed the dance. She managed to arouse him as easily as always, leaving him wanting more. He smiled gently up at her, as she admitted it was making her feel weird. He thought for a moment, "it's fine, Skye, thank you for the dance regardless," be said softly. He sat back, "I'm happy to not come back here, perhaps in time, you'll be comfortable enough to dance for me on one of our dates, as the real you," he said softly. He took her hand, kissing it lightly, "until next time beautiful," he said softly.

Skye felt her cheeks flushing softly as she shook her head gently "I don't want you to feel you can't come back.. it'll just take a couple times to get used to seeing a familiar face" she told him kindly, kissing his cheek as she headed toward the door. "So uh hey, when did you want to meet up next?" She asked him softly.

Stanley nodded gently, "well thank you Skye, that's very kind, I'll be patient,' he said softly. He looked up at her, "how does Wednesday sound? If you message me something you might find fun, I'll try set it up," he asked. He hoped she would come to enjoy spending time with him, in all honesty he was extremely lonely, and was enjoying her company.

Skye nodded "yeah Wednesday sounds good. I'll lsend you a text later tonight" she assured him, giving him a friendly nod before leaving the room. She quickly deposited the money in the office and hurried to get ready. She couldn't wait to take Sophia out to a class today and get to spend some proper time with her baby girl.

Stanley nodded lightly, "sounds perfect," he said softly. He stood up, and left the private area, heading home. He went past the bar and ordered one more drink, sipping it slowly. After his drink, he headed out to his car and climbed in.

Skye went upstairs getting changed in to her everyday clothes. She gave Stanley a little wave as she left the club, heading for the child minders to pick up her daughter.

Stanley smiled softly, seeing her leave. He pulled out of the carpark, after she had, and headed back to his place. He settled down, and relaxed on his couch. He drifted into a light sleep.

By the time the following Wednesday night rolled around, Ariana felt exhausted. She made sure that her make-up covered the dark circles under her eyes, she didn't want Stanley to think that he wasn't getting her full attention. She had told him about a ballet that was showing in the local theatre. She enjoyed watching theatre herself and she hoped it was something that he was in to as well. She knew she would have to be dressed up for this occasion, so she pulled out one of her less revealing evening gowns from the club, pairing it with a blazer and some costume jewellery. She turned to look at herself in the mirror, she looked passable.

She gave Sophia a kiss on the forehead as she said goodbye to her and the babysitter before heading down the street to where she had arranged for Stan to pick her up.

Stanley got ready for the theatre, it was the first show he'd been too in a long time. He was dressed in a fine tuxedo, as he pulled up at the place she had arranged to be picked up. "Evening Ariana, you look lovely tonight," he said softly.

Ariana smiled at him kindly as she sat in to the car with him. "thank you Stanley, you look great too" she told him sweetly, double checking she had everything she needed in her bag before he pulled away. "How has your week been?" She asked him.

Stanley smiled weakly, and pulled into the street once she had buckled in. He looked at her momentarily, "My week was fine, spent most of it on the phone," he said lightly. He sighed softly, "How about yours?" he asked.
