Glitter and Gold

Ariana shrugged softly "I'm sorry.. I don't mean to be awkward I guess.. you see right now I'm Ariana, and ai know this is going to sound so pathetic, but It kind of like Skye is a second part of me.. we're not really the same person. So I guess.. I'm just not used to being like Skye" she said, her cheeks flushing as she explained it, feeling incredibly stupid.

Stanley smiled softly, "That's fine, I understand, it might take awhile to get used to things, but please feel free to act however you want," he said lightly. He sipped is wine.

Ariana nodded kindly, her finger circling the glass for a minute before she took a sip. "So uh... Have you always been a bachelor?" She asked him softly, looking out from under her eyelashes. She wondered if he had had any failed marriages, or even some kids.

Stanley's eyes were watching over her, she had this strange way of making everything she did seem alluring. He smiled gently, 'I've tried to have a couple relationships, but they didn't work out, I was too busy with work, and they ended up cheating," he said softly. He sat back slightly, "how about yourself? any ex-boyfriends I need to worry about?" he asked.

Ariana found herself blushing slightly as his eyes followed her Everytime she moved. She took a large sip of her wine as she tried to hold eye contact with him, feigning confidence. "I'm sorry to hear that, I really think cheating is a very low thing to do" she told him honestly before looking down in to her lap, trying hard to hide her emotions on her face as she shook her head. "I mean I've had exes, but I can promise you he isn't going to give you any problems" she said awkwardly, scratching the back of her head as she made herself smile at him.

Stanley smiled gently, he could tell the question made her feel awkward, and decided not to press anymore. 'Well I'm glad he's not continuing to hassle you," he said softly. He looked up as their food was brought over, "So Ariana, tell me about your tastes, what sort of things do you like?" he asked her changing the subject.

Ari paused for a second "umm, do you mean like music or...?" She asked softly, with a small laugh as she tried to determine what he meant. She had never had a man want to spoil her before and it certainly wasn't a familiar feeling. She smiled at the food as it was placed before her and she picked up her knife and fork. She hadn't even realised how hungry she was until she began eating.

Stanley slowly began to take bites of his food. "Yeah, music, movies, books, that sort of thing," he said lightly. He smiled softly watching her. "And clothes, what sort of clothing do you usually like to wear?" he asked. He wanted to know her better, so he could take her on dates she'd like.

Ariana shrugged softly "I mean... I love detective murder type books and TV programmes, Sherlock Holmes, Criminal minds that sort of thing" she sjaid with a soft laugh as she ate a fry. "I love the they're a lot, musicals and plays.. I read a lot of plays" she told him blushing softly as he still watched her intently. "I mean.. I dress in lots of different ways.. I guess this sort of thing would be my style?" She suggested. Ari could really be found in anything from sweat pants to an evening gown on a daily basis.

Stanley smiled softly, "That sounds good, it sounds like you like figuring things out," he said lightly. He smiled softly, "you will make a great lawyer, when you're done," he added. He continued to eat slowly, "well maybe if your comfortable, one day I can take you shopping, buy you some lovely designer clothes," he suggested lightly.

Ariana smiled "thank you for saying that.. I mean.. I sometimes feel I'm waiting my time with it all" she admitted pulling her hair back out of her face. "Uh yeah.. I mean if you would like that. You really don't have to unless you would like that" she told him, taking another small bite of her meal. "Do you have a style you would like me to dress in?" She asked him sweetly. Her job was to keep him happy and that's all she wanted to do.

Stanley smiled softly and watched her. "I think it would be a good way to get to know each other better," he said softly. He continued to slowly eat and shook his head hearing her question, "I want you to be you, dress in whatever makes you comfortable, if we go anywhere fancy that you need to wear something special I'll let you know," he said lightly. He slowly reached across under the table with his foot, and rubbed the side of her leg gently.

Ariana nodded, filling her mouth with food and chewing slowly so she could get out of talking for a couple of minutes. She coughed slightly as she tried to swallow, suddenly feeling his foot carressing her leg. She took a gulp of water and smiled him. She was beginning to realise that she just needed to be the person she was at the club, bolder and more brazen. She leaned over the table slightly, letting her cleavage spill from her top slightly as she robbed a fry from his plate and winked. "Yours looked better" she teased.

Stanley smiled watching her, his eyes drawn to her cleaver as she leaned over. He chuckled, "well, have at them," he teased. He sipped his wine, sitting back. He paused for a moment, "how would you feel about catching a movie tonight? or is it too much?" he asked her.

Carly nibbled on her lip softly as she glanced at her watch. She crossed and uncrossed her legs as she thought for a second. "Yeah we can if you like, but I need to be home by 12" she told him softly. She had told the babysitter 11 but she knew she would be okay as long as it didn't go after 12. She needed to Keep him happy, his money was helping her greatly.

"What movie were you thinking?" She asked gently.

Stanley smiled gently, when she agreed. "Well I hadn't thought that far ahead, what movie do you want to see?" he asked her lightly. He finished up his meal and looked back at her, "Honestly Ariana, I want you to feel comfortable telling me no, I won't be offended," he said softly.

Ariana slowly reached her hand out to touch his forearm as it rested on the table. "honestly, I'm fine with going, I just really need to be back by 12" she told him with a kind smile, placing her napkin on to the plate as she finished. "That meal was delicious, thank you so much" she told hir softly.

Stanley smiled brightly, "well I'll be sure to make sure you will be home by 12," he said softly. He smiled softly, and took her hand holding it softly. "Thank you for sharing it with me, I always find food is better with company," he said softly.

Ariana smiled at him sweetly, finishing off her wine as she watched him, her eyes resting on his. She gave his hand a small squeeze as he took hers and nodded. "I don't think I have ever eaten food that fancy, it was amazing. Thank you" she told him with a smile. She began to gather her things as she let him pay the bill, taking her jacket from the maitre'd she waited outside the door for him, nibbling on her lip gently. "Shall I follow you in my car, or will you just give me a ride back here later?" She asked softly.

Stanley smiled softly, pulling his coat over himself. He paid the bill before heading out to her, he offered her his arm. "Well I'm glad you enjoyed it," he said softly. He began walking with her towards the valet, "I'm happy to drop you back here later," he said lightly.

As his car was pulled up, he stepped forward opening the door for her.
