Thibault sighed against her lips, breaking the kiss once she moved to sit on his lap. "As much as I'd love to, Cassia, I don't think that now is a good time... You should finish your breakfast, while I go take care of some estate business." He murmured, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead before lifting her up and setting her back down in bed, offering her a faint smile before he headed out of the room and to his study, needing some time alone to clear his head.

Rosemarie gave a faint nod as he spoke, closing her eyes as he stroked her hair, and soon enough she was sound asleep in his arms, her head tucked against his chest with one of her hands gently gripping his shirt. She felt so much safer and more at ease with his arms around her, and even though she wouldn't get much sleep before the plane landed, what little sleep she would get would be better than the terrible rest she had had on the rest of the flight.

Cassia lay on the bed as Thibault left her and she curled up letting the tears spring out before suddenly a flood was released. He had left her here like this and it was wrong. He should have stayed and made love to her. He should have reminded her how much in love they were but he left instead. Cassia cried for a while then stood and showered. She hadn't finished her food and wasn't planning to. She headed out and into the closet. Cassia stood there in her towel looking for something to wear before a plan came to mind and she hoped that maybe it would snap him out of this fog reminding him that she was here now and he damn well better take advantage of it. Cassia dropped the towel and started to dress. She headed out sweeping through the halls until she saw Madeline and convinced her to play a song for her through the house. Cassia hated how he ran from her and she needed him to come back. She needed him to believe that they could work it out together.

Zane smiled as he felt her sleep. The plane touched down and they taxied. He picked super up carrying her to the waiting car not wanting to wake her. He knew she must have had a rough time on the plane when he got her to the hotel without her waking. He laid her in the bed and had to work very hard not to sink his teeth into the beautiful woman in front of him. He felt like he had ten hangovers. Zane decided a shower then he would wake her and make sure she got something to eat before he feed.

Thibault had settled into his office, responding to letters and sorting through various paperwork when he heard the song fill the house, a little frown appearing on his lips, letting out a sigh. He hadn't meant for it to seem like he'd run away, but he didn't think that simply having sex would solve their problems, and magically make everything right again, especially not when Cassia had obviously been so upset and concerned about it. He attempted to focus on his work for a while longer before reluctantly getting up and heading back toward their room, frowning at Cassia when he arrived. He let out a long sigh, running his fingers through his hair. "Cassia..." He started, trying to find the right words so that she wouldn't get upset and feel like he was pushing her away.

Rosemarie happily slept in his arms, stirring a little bit when he moved her from the plane to the car and then again when he moved her from the car into the hotel, although once she was curled up in bed she slept soundly for a few more hours before waking, blinking the sleep from her eyes as she sat up slowly, looking around the room in confusion, wondering where she was and how she had gotten there. She relaxed once she saw Zane, offering him a tired smile as she rubbed at her eyes sleepily. "How long was I asleep..? Have you fed yet?" She asked, hands moving to feel her neck for any sign that he'd bitten her.

Cassia was glad he came back. She had been sure he wouldn't when the song was so close to the end. She bit her lip. He looked upset. "Please... I just want to make sure we are good. I'm not going to push anything right now Thibault but I don't want to waste even a day thinking you're mad at me. I love you Thibault that is all that should matter... right?" she asked him and stood taking his hand softly squeezing it. "I know you have work but later will you go on a picnic with me?" she asked. "I think a picnic under the stars will be stunning." she said and bit her lips gently.

Zane chuckled as she checked her neck as he buttoned up his shirt. "I won't fed from you while you are asleep Rose that is just rude." he winked. "No I haven't fed yet. A shower helped but I will need to quickly before we leave." He said. "I had a few dresses brought for you but I personally suggest the gold dress but then every time I try picking out a dress for you I fail." he said and leaned in kissing her lips then groaned because she smelled so damn tempting. He pulled back and pulled on his jacket. "I should wait out on the balcony so I don't rush you." he said moving out of the room.

Thibault smiled gently at her as she took his hands, returning the squeeze and pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "I know, my love. I love you too, more than anything." He murmured softly, pulling her into a hug as he stroked his fingers over her hair. "I'm not mad at you, I need you to know that. It's just overwhelming to think of losing you, when I only just got you.." He murmured softly into her hair, smiling when she suggested that they go on a picnic. "That sounds lovely. Would you like to go now? My work can wait a bit."

Rosemarie smiled sheepishly when he winked at her, scooting to the edge of the bed so that she could return his kiss when he leaned over, straightening out his collar and smoothing her hands over his shirt. She blushed as she heard him groan, smiling a little as she looked over the dress. "It is very pretty.. But I'd like to look at the other options too." She smiled, waiting until he left before undressing and looking through the other dresses that had been brought, settling on one that was similar to the dress he had chosen for her, but was more her taste. Once she was properly in her dress, she quickly did up her hair before heading out the way that Zane had gone, smiling sheepishly when she saw him. "I know that it's not the dress that you picked, but it's pretty close..."

Cassia smiled. "No because I know if you go now you won't get anything done because I want to be selfish with my time with you." she said and kissed his cheek. She wanted to get over this entire thing and move on. She hated how it had all went and wanted to forget about it. "I will just tell the kitchen what I want to do and when you are done I will steal you away." she said and kissed his lips gently. "You won't loose me Thibault." she said and cupped his cheek. "We have a life to live." she said and hugged him. "Thank you for coming to see me." she said.

Thibault smiled seeing Rosemarie. "You look stunning as always." he said and cupped her cheek. "How are you feeling?" he asked his eyes red lip ehe was sleep deprived. Thibault hoped she was feeling well enough to fed from because he didn't want to fed from some random girl at the council. Who knew if she was there by choice not to mention the off reaction feeding gave in the lower regains.

Thibault smiled, nodding as he pressed another kiss to her lips. "Alright. I'll see you in a few hours, ok, my love?" He asked, pressing one more kiss to her lips before he released her to head back to his office, wanting to get his work finished so that they could have their picnic. About three hours later he returned to their room once he was done with his work, sitting on the bed with a little sigh of frustration, having always hated dealing with paperwork.

Rosemarie blushed at his compliment, smiling up at him. "I'm fine, Zane. And you're obviously not, so you should feed before we go, I know you'll feel better if you do." She smiled, leaning into his arms, her hands resting against his chest as she looked up at him, tilting her head to give him access to her neck.

Cassia wondered in to their room her nose in a book. She looked up and smiled. "Thibault!" she grinned and moved over to him setting her book down before hopping into the bed and over to him. She rolled into in and hugged him sighing and relaxing closing her eyes. "Mmm I missed you." she said grinning and then looked up at him. "Are you all mine for the rest of the night then?" she asked sitting up.

Zane felt terrible but kissed her neck softly. "Thank you." he hummed before running a fang over her neck shivering and plunging his fangs into her. He pulled her close his hands on her hips as he drank deeply. Zane moaned as the blood started to hit his system and was making him feel like life was returning to his system. Zane was trying to be careful how much he took from her and before he realized it he was pulling away so she didn't have to stop him. He licked his lips then her neck watching the piercings slowly heal over. "Much better." he said and kissed her hand. "Are you ready to head to the council?" he asked her.

Thibault chuckled and wrapped his arms securely around her once she was close enough, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead. "Yes, my dear, I'm all yours. What do you have planned.?" He asked, running his fingers through her hair as he studied her curiously.

Rosemarie shuddered as he bit into her neck, her grip on his shirt tightening as she gasped a little at the feeling, blushing when she heard him moan. She was grateful that he was holding onto her tightly, otherwise she might have lost her balance, and once he had pulled back and healed her neck she took a few moments to steady herself in his arms, smiling up at him as she fixed his shirt and jacket, making sure that he looked presentable. "Yes, I'm ready."

Cassia beamed and leaned up kissing him seductively. "Come on." she said and took his hand standing. She pulled him from the room and wrapped her arm around his walking slowly. she honestly was still a little causes about Thibault since he pushed her advances away earlier but she wasn't going to let him see that. He would only know that if he wanted her again he would have to show it. She wasn't going to make anemones for a while now. "It's a little walk." she said and walked into the woods with him. they walked down a trail and then veered off into a little spot that had lights dangling over a little table. She smiled as their entire spot was lite up with fairy lights and the small lanterns as well as the moon above them. She grinned and let go. "Tada!" she grinned and sat down waiting for him. She had the kitchen make somethings for her and things he would really enjoy. Cassia wanted to make up for earlier and hoped this would get them started.

Zane grinned. He was glad he affected her with the bite too. He kissed her and cupped her cheek. "Okay stay close to me. I will keep you safe." he said and they walked out of their room and down to the awaiting car. "I know all of this will be very new and maybe frightening. A lot of vampires don't think about their bandmates like I do. They think of them as no more than a protected cow, it makes me sick." he said and buckled in starting the car. "They won't harm you and they won't fed from you without m permission with I will never give." he said and took her hand. "Just stay close and we will avoid any problems we might have. When in doubt don't say anything unless it is directly in my ear." he said. "The last thing we need if to offend one of these guys." he said.

Thibault smiled as she led him along, keeping her hand in his, occasionally giving it a little squeeze. He was glad that she didn't seem too upset with him, but he knew that everything wasnt quite back to normal, although he hoped dinner would fix that. He smiled at the sight of all of the food, pulling out her chair for her before taking a seat. "This looks lovely, Cassia. You've outdone yourself." He complimented, waiting for her to begin eating before digging into his own meal.

Rosemarie kept a hold on one of Zane's hands, even once they were seated in the car, too nervous to let go. She nodded a little as she listened to all of his instructions, hoping that they wouldnt find themselves in a bad situation, although she couldn't help but fear the worst. "You wont leave me alone, right?" She asked after a while, looking over at him worriedly. The last thing she wanted was to be alone with a bunch of strangers, especially considering what had occurred the last time that had happened.

Cassia smiled and started to eat. She didn't know what to say. All she could think was she had to find a way to protect him even from himself. If vampires and werewolves existed then wishes did to and she needed to find a powerful one that would help her figure out how to either live forever or to protect him. There had to be a way. Cassia was quiet. She honestly wasn't sure how he was going to react. She never thought he would push her away like he did earlier and she didn't know where to go with that. She felt off and like they couldn't come back from it.

Zane frowned. "No I won't leave you alone." he said and kissed her hand. They arrived tot he big embassy like building. He drove up to the valet and got out giving him the keys and then helping Rosemarie out. He pulled her to his side and walked into the buildings. From the moment they got inside vampires were everywhere watching he new blood coming in. He knew Rosemarie smelled amazing and she would be watched but he would protect his blood mate with his life. They walked through the halls into the center of the building that was designed as a meeting place for the council. Zane walked in and went to his seat. He pulled out a chair for Rosemarie and kissed her temple before kissing next to her as more vampires filed in some with blood mates others alone.

Thibault knew that Cassia was up to something, glancing over at her every now and again to try to figure out what she was thinking. Once he was finished with his meal and she seemed to be done herself he stood and moved over to her, leaning down to press a deep kiss to her lips, his hands cupping her cheeks as he drew her closer.

Rosemarie nodded gratefully, pressing a quick kiss to his lips once they were out of the car before taking his arm as he led her into the building. She deciding to keep her eyes down, afraid that if she looked any of the strange vampires in the eye they'd become upset with her, so she relied on Zane ro guide her through the crowded hall. Once in her seat she looked over at Zane, offering him a nervous smile before focusing her attention back on her lap.

Cassia smiled as Thibault came over to her. She felt his kiss and kissed him back. She wanted more but she was still upset about how he had left things earlier. She pulled away and cleaned up the table. "Here if you move the table we can lay on the blankets and look at the stars." she said and smiled at him.

Zane grinned as she smiled at him and he took her hand in her lap leaning over to whisper to her. "You shouldn't act so scared my love. I know you are but it will be okay. You should sit proud and tall. Across from you is a good old friend of my Celtin. He is the man that looks like he just came off the beach board. He is kind and would be happy to hold your gaze if you needed someone to look at that you know will be safe other than me." he said and kissed her temple. Zane was more scared someone would think her a slave than a blood bond mate and try to take a nip.

Thibault ran his fingers through her hair gently, nodding as he helped her move the table out of the way and helped her to spread out the blanket she had brought, pressing a kiss to her forehead as he sat down and pulled her into his arms. "There." He smiled, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips.

Rosemarie looked at him as he spoke, nodding a little at his advice before glancing over to the man he had identified as Celtin, offering him a shy smile that only grew happier when Zane pressed the kiss to her forehead. Her fingers curled around his, giving his hand a gentle squeeze as she leaned closer to press a gentle kiss to his cheek. She was still scared, but she'd managed to calm down and appear less nervous now that Zane had comforted her and she knew at least one other vampire in the room who wouldnt hurt her, who she could trust.

Cassia smiled and leaned into him closing her eyes. She sighed enjoying the feel of him. She needed to feel like they were going to be okay. She didn't know what it was but she felt the gap that was pretty wide from were they had been and where she felt now. she knew he hadn't meant to make it but it was the first time she had ever felt rejection like this of course it would get to her.

Five older vampires, pale and pasty walked into the room and silence creeped through the grand hall as they moved up the center to their chairs. They took the head of the room and looked around before sitting. The room was crisp with tension as they waited for the old vampires to speak. A pale vampire in the center with dark hair stood. "Thank you all for coming." he said his voice bold and demanding of respect. "You all have been made aware of why you have been summoned. We need to organize and mobilize. In front of you, you will see your assignments and locations. Follow the instructions and organize yourselves."

Thibault smiled, content with just holding her in his arms while he gazed at the stars with her. He knew that Cassia was still upset with him, but all he could do was apologize and show her how much she meant to him. He didn't want their relationship to be boiled down to just something physical, though, as he truly loved her with all of his heart, and needed her to understand that pushing her away physically wasn't him trying to push her away emotionally, although he was sure that that was what she thought he was doing. He kept his arms around her while they gazed at the stars, stroking her hair and occasionally pressing a little kiss to her cheek, or telling her about a specific constellation, enjoying their time together

Rosemarie tensed when the five older vampires entered the room, looking over at them a bit nervously, noticing that the entire room seemed to as tense as her. When they spoke she looked to Zane to see his reaction, wondering what his assignment would be, and what it would entail. She hoped that wherever he was going she would be able to come with him, as she was terrified of being alone while he was away dealing with whatever it was that these vampires were demanding he deal with.

Cassia was really trying to let it all go but one thing sh couldn't get out of her mind was how he left her. He didn't just tell her no he left her when she needed him. she was trying to be there for him and maybe didn't do it in the right way but she was 18 and had a burins passion for him. Instead of talking o her he ran away and it was the running that her her the most. She wished he had just talked to her, wished that he would talk to her now. She loved just spending time with him and listening to his tories about the stars but how were they going to build this back to a good place if they avoided it?

The older vampire returned to his seat and Zane picked up his packet in front of him flipping through it. He flipped through some pages and a slow smile creeped onto his lips. He turned to Rosemarie feeling her growing concern and kissed her sweetly. "We have a fairly short trip to make and we will be working with a few vampires along with Celtin." He smiled at her. "Come on." he said and stood offering her his hand. They moved across the wide center over to Celtin, many other vampires moving around the room now as well. Zane embraced his old friend. "Celtin my friend." they spoke a while laughing and catching up before Celtin turned to Rosemarie. Zane grinned. "Celtin this is Rosemarie, my blood bond." he said smiling at her his hand resting on her lower back rubbed gently as his loving eyes looked down at her.

As dawn approached Thibault sat up, pressing a kiss to her forehead. "It's best we head inside, my love.. Although if you'd like to stay out a little longer, and watch the sunrise, you're more than welcome to do that, but I should head inside before I get stuck in the sun." He smiled a little, pressing a gentle kiss to her lips. "I love you, Cassia.. Truly, I do. And I'm sorry that I hurt you, but I don't know how to make it up to you, and I worry that I never will be able to make it up to you.." He sighed, holding her close.

Rosemarie smiled when she saw his reaction to the news, happily returning his kiss as she took his hands, giving them a little squeeze. "That's good. I'm happy for you, Zane." She smiled, standing with his help before following him over to meet with the other vampires that he would be working with, smiling as she watched Zane and Celtin speak. It was obvious that they were close friends, and she hoped that they would have plenty of time to catch up while they were working together. Rosemarie kept close to Zane, even as he introduced her to Celtin, glad to have his hand on her back, it reassuring her that everything would be ok. "Hello, Celtin.. It's a pleasure to meet you." She smiled politely as she looked up at the other vampire.

Cassia looked up at him as he apologized and she frowned. She bit her lip and cupped his cheek. "We'll get through this Thibault. But we need to talk about it. But you're right the sun is coming up. You need to get inside. We can talk about it when the night comes again. I won't be long I just want to see the sunrise." she said and kissed him again. "Go inside my love." she said and pushed his chest lightly. She wanted to talk with him but he waited to late and him staying up isn't healthy for him, it was dangerous so it was better for him to go inside and it would all still be there when he woke.

Other vampires moved over to them and joining their group. It was a group of ten and they were all greeting one another getting to know their team. Celtin smiled as Rosemarie spoke and he leaned in taking her hand kissing it with a bow. "Oh so proper." he said and winked at her. "It's nice to meet you as well Rosemarie. You'll come to see I'm relaxed. I rather be on the waves than in a party." he smiled and they were all pulled into meeting the rest of the group. it seemed the group of vampires pretty much just ignored Rosemarie and Zane was just fine with that. The less interest the less problems.
