Zane thanked Harriet. "We have set up the room next to the nursery for you Harriet, you are welcome to stay. I don't want yo to fly if you are too tired." he said and then nodded as she left. He turned to Rosemarie and kissed her softly. "Everything is alright. He doesn't seem unreasonable and his bond is interesting." Zane said and stripped off before pulling on his night pants. He sat in the bed with her and recounted everything that happened. "He seems truly infatuated with her so that gives me hope. And he seems to truly want to understand the situation and that this might come out favorably. He did not sugar coat it though." Zane took the time to rub her shoulders while they talked. "Cassia is strange. She was very over dressed but it distracted from her partner and I have a feeling it was a calculated move. She is quick and perceptive. I think there is more to her than meets the eye, though she is small she is not someone I would ever mess with. Instinct knows what the mind can not." he said and then yawned. "You should drink the potion love. You need the rest. It it the entire reason for the bedrest."

Cassia moved into bed with Thibault and cuddled into him. She yawned. "Yes I got that sense too. I also believe him to be very resourceful and influential. If this turns out unfavorable then we are going to have a fight on our hands." she said and sighed. "That being said I think he would be capable of handling a lot. He isn't telling us the entire truth, he doesn't trust us." she said though they already knew this. She hummed and kissed Thibault softly. It was weird not to be in their own bed and in someone else's house. "I think the key to getting him to trust me quickly will be to befriend Celtin. I don't think he is as much a loner as he is perceived." she said softly telling him what she felt.

"Oh, thanks Zane." Harriet said as he mentioned a room had been set up for her, starting to wander there, although after a while she found herself heading to Celtin's room, too curious about how the meeting had gone to just go to bed, no matter how tired she was. She could only hope he was there and not somewhere, knocking on the door softly in case he'd already gone to sleep.

Rosemaire curled into her bond's arms, relaxing as he rubbed her shoulders. "That seems good, though.. right? He isn't demanding to see me right away, or demanding that we just kill the baby now.. maybe that means he wants to help us?" She asked hopefully, scrunching up her nose stubbornly when he told her to take the potion. "Fine.. I don't think I need it, but I will. After we talk for a while, though. I was worried about you." She confessed, resting her head against his chest.

"I wouldn't trust us either if I were in his situation." Thibault hummed, returning her kiss. "I don't like the idea of you spending time alone with either of them until I can trust them, but you're right. I think Celtin is more open than Zane, although he's an unpredictable variable, being connected with both Zane's bond and the midwife even though he isn't bonded to either of them." He sighed, nuzzling his face into her hair. "We should try to sleep. I doubt there will be much to do tomorrow, but hopefully we'll be able to at least meet the midwife, or get some answers out of one of them."

Celtin opened the door half naked again. He smiled. "You always catch me without a shirt on." he chuckled. and opened the door in invitation. "You gonna stay here tonight? It's not a good idea to fly back like this." he said and looked down at her. She looked like she was burning with a million things to say so once she was inside he closed the door and sat down on the bed looking up at her.

"I know but Celtin was there. You don't have to worry love." he said and then kissed her neck. "I don't want to jump to any conclusions about their willingness to help us just yet. They seem to think that Cassia will be able to smooth the introduction with Thibault. They want her to see you and Harriet first. She seems friendly enough but there is something about her. I want to get Harriet's opinion of her so I was thinking of sending her down to the clinic o meet with Harriet." he said and hummed in thought.

"I'm sure it will be okay. After all hurting me would be against their best interest. It would be better to befriend us. I am sure they will quickly figure this out." she soothed and kissed his chest feeling him holding onto her. "Goodnight love." she said. She hoped tomorrow would bring them more success than today had.

Harriet smiled a little at his teasing, giving him a little nudge. "You're the one who wanders around my apartment without a shirt on." She pointed out as she stepped inside, leaning her broom against the wall by the door and setting her bag down for a moment with a sigh so she could stretch. "Yeah, I'm too tired to fly home. Zane said there was a room prepared for me near the nursery, but I got a bit turned around , and wanted to ask you how everything went with the council member before I went to bed." She explained, taking a seat in one of the chairs near the fireplace, looking over at him curiously but also worriedly, her nervousness about the whole situation evident.

'But I do have to worry. You're my bond, I'm supposed to take card of you." Rosemarie pointed out, humming happily as he kissed her neck, snuggling into his arms. She nodded a little as he explained that the vampire seemed to think them meeting with his bond first would make things easier, humming a little as he rubbed her back. "That seems reasonable.. Harriet doesn't work for a few days, though, since she's been working double shifts the past week, so her mother let her have three days off to sleep and rest without having to worry about her patients, and I wouldn't want her rest to be interupted by an interrogation."

"If they see us as a threat and feel cornered enough I wouldn't put anything past them." Thibault sighed, rubbing her back soothingly. "Goodnight, Cassia. I love you. If you wake before me, don't leave the room, alright? Calling for a maid is fine, but I don't want you wandering around an unfamiliar house "

Celtin nodded. "Well I think you should meet Cassia for yourself to get a vibe on her. She's the vampire's bond and they are really close. She is really... observant and flamboyant. Not like in her personality really but there is something distracting about her. She's calculating but she also seems kind. So I am hoping to get a better feel for her, she might be our way into convincing Thibault that this isn't something we all can't handle together." he said and smiled. "It went well if not a little stiff for the first meeting. I think it wont really start to be less stiff until we start to let them talk to you and Rose. Thibault and Cassia both want for her to meet the both of you first before him. I think they are hoping that she will smooth the interaction but that seems like a lot to place on her. Maybe there is something about her that we don't know yet that is why they think so." he said and grinned. "You know you're welcome to stay here if you can't find your own room." he grinned.

Zane nodded. "I wont ask it of her but I will let her know that is their intent. It's going to be weird them being here and wanting to be around us while they try to determine everything." He sighed. "Thibault asked for her gender... I told them it was a surprise and to ask the midwife to give us time." he said and rubbed down her back. "Alright love you've stayed up long enough it's time." he said softly.

Cassia nodded softly though she wanted to tell him not to worry that she could take care of herself but also that she was less intimidating by herself. It would do them no good if Thibault in a panic went running through the halls in anger trying to find her so she would stay and sooth his worries. This was as much as them trusting them as it was for Thibault to trust as well. Cassia fell asleep easily her nose tucked into his chest and her arms wrapped around him.

Harriet nodded a little, stifling a yawn. She really did look exhausted. "She must be the witch I sensed.. Although her aura is strange, and was a bit blocked by everyone else's, so I'll have to meet her in person like you said. And I think it might be good for Rosemarie to meet another vampire's bond. She'll be nervous of course, but hearing about the vampire who has to interrogate her from someone who loves him will help her not stress too much, which would be bad for the baby." Harriet explained, smiling tiredly at Celtin when he suggested she stay in his room with him. "I'm sure you'd love that, but I'm exhausted and I didn't pack pajamas because I had thought I was going to fly home, and you don't want me sleeping in your bed in my dirty clothes."

Rosemarie frowned a bit as Zane spoke, gripping his hand tighter as he explained that the vampire had asked for the gender of the baby, relieved when he said he hadn't told them. "Alright.. I can tell him myself when he talks to me, but I'll ask he keeps it to himself... I know Celtin is excited to know, I want to surprise him." She pouted when he said it was time for her to take her potion, giving a reluctant nod before sitting up to drink the small potion in the vial, setting it down again before she curled into Zane's arms as comfortably as she could. "I love you, Zane.."

Thibault held his bond close a she drifted off to sleep, soon falling asleep after her, although it wasn't as nice of a sleep as he wanted since he felt like he needed to be on guard. He didn't think Zane or Celtin would try to attack them or do anything unprovoked, but he knew that if they ever pushed them too far or stepped too far too quickly then Zane would lash out. Which wasn't his fault, as it was in his nature to be protective, but it would be detrimental to his case to the council.

Celtin grinned. "Well if you're uncomfortable sleeping naked next to me you're welcome to use my shirt. I am obviously not using it." he grinned. He enjoyed teasing her and hoped one day that she would take him up on one of his offers. He was glad she thought the same of the bond as he did. Celtin stretched and let out a yawn. He rubbed his head and grinned at her.

Zane was glad she was already preparing herself to talk with the man. He kissed her head and watched her take the potion. Once she was finished they shifted around in bed until they where comfortable, or as much as she could be with their baby between them. "I love you too Rosemarie." he spoke back his lips drifting over her head gently.

Cassia woke in the morning and blinked her eyes open. She looked up and smiled at Thibault. He looked tired still. Vampires didn't need the same amount of rest as humans but it still put them in a better mood to have a good rest. Cassia smiled and leaned in kissing his lips sweetly. "Morning love." she said and snuggled into him. She ran her hands gently up his chest leaning into him and just enjoying the connection to him.

Harriet gave him a little look, but another yawn interrupted her reply, and after a moment's thought she looked at him tiredly. "I'm pretty sure if I tried to find the room Zane had prepared for me I'd pass out in the halls.. You're sure it's alright if I sleep here?" She asked, wanting to double check and make sure that his offer was genuine. He teased her a lot, and she didn't want to accidentally mistake his teasing for a real offer. She stood slowly and stretched lazily, rubbing sleepily at her eyes as she tugged her hair out of it's braid. "Oh, and do you have a toothbrush I could use? I can't sleep unless I brush my teeth first out of habit.."

Rosemarie hummed contently as he pressed his lips to her forehead, closing her eyes contently as she settled in. She knew that the pregnancy was hard for him, since they hadn't been able to be intimate in months because of Harriet's concerns about the health of her and the baby, but she was glad that he'd been willing to at least gives her the chance at having a family with him. With the sleeping potion it wasn't long before she'd drifted off to sleep, curled up against him.

Thibault had woken up early, having been unable to get a proper night's rest in the unfamiliar house with tensions so high. But he felt better when Cassia stirred next to him and pressed a kiss to his lips, returning her kiss as he tugged her close. "Good morning, my dear. How did you sleep?" He asked as he ran his fingers through her hair. He hoped that she'd slept alright, given that this was their first night not sleeping in their own bed. The last thing he wanted was for her to feel uncomfortable.

Celtin grinned as she took him up on his offer. He was surprised at first and rubbed his neck. "Yeah." he stood unsure of what to do now. He looked at her and as her hair tumbled out of the braid he felt a tightening in his groins. He swallowed and nodded. "Yeah there is a spare under the sink. Feel free to rinse off too if you like." he said and pulled out a clean shirt offering it to her. He smiled down at her and tugged on the ends of her hair. "You smell divine." he said and kissed her cheek. He moved back to the bed and laid back picking up his puzzle and shifting it around trying to get it fixed as he preoccupied his mind on anything other than the beautiful woman that would shortly be in his bed.

Zane fell asleep once Rosemarie was asleep. He held her through the night not able to let go. With everything that had been going on he was not going to be able to relax for some time. He knew Thibault would be protective of his own bond but if Zane wanted a better understanding of what would happen here he would need to find some time with Cassia and do his own kind of interrogation though part of him feared he would be revealing just as much as he was gaining with her.

Cassia smiled as he pulled her closer making her belly fly with desire. It was the little things that had her so worked up. "I could tell you where tossing and turning but I slept fairly easily." she soothed and hummed as she leaned her head back into his hand. "I have never been out of the castle like this but all things considering I feel like I slept well though I think I could really use a run today." she said thinking that maybe she could get Celtin to accompany her and she might pick his brain that way. He seemed the very active type.

Harriet thanked him as he handed her the clean shirt and explained where she'd be able to find a tooth brush, nodding a little when he offered to let her take a quick shower as well. "I might take you up on that.. Delivering babies doesn't exactly leave you smelling the best." She laughed a bit, rolling her eyes as he tugged at the end of her hair and kissed her cheek. "I highly doubt that. I've also seen you use that same line on like six different waitresses." She pointed out before slipping into the bathroom, setting the shirt down on the counter before digging out the toothbrush while the water in the shower warmed up. Once it had she stripped out of her dirty clothes, casting a spell to clean her underwear so they wouldn't be gross when she put them back on, before climbing in to take a quick shower. Once done she stepped out and dried off, pulling her underwear back on and then his shirt, walking out of the bathroom as she dried her hair with the towel and put her dirty clothes away in her bag. "I left the toothbrush I used off to the side, so you don't mistake it for yours." She explained, sending her towel back to the bathroom with her magic before moving to take a seat at the edge of his bed on the opposite side as him, watching as he fiddled with the puzzle. "What's that?"

Rosemarie slept soundly through the night for the first time in weeks, waking up late in the morning with a tired little groan as she stretched, snuggling further into Zane's arms as she closed her eyes again, not quite ready to get up for the day yet. She was happy to just lay there for a while and enjoy their little bit of peace, although she looked forward to when they'd be able to have their baby there with them in their arms. She almost wanted to have the baby now so that she could hold her, but she knew that she needed to carry her as long as possible to ensure that she was healthy.

Thibault smiled as he pressed a kiss to her forehead, keeping her close. "I know, I'm sorry if I disturbed you at all... I'm not sure that I'll be able to sleep properly until I've gotten a better read on Zane and Celtin, and met the bond and the midwife. They're very protective of them, and things are so tense now that it's hard to relax." He explained with a little sigh as he played with her hair. He nodded a little when she mentioned going for a run, figuring that she might try to get Celtin to go with her. He felt more comfortable about him than Zane, but he was still not thrilled with the idea of letting his bond go out with an unfamiliar vampire. "Perhaps.. Would you stay on the grounds of the mansion?" He asked, not wanting her to go too far where he wouldn't be able to find her.

Celtin laughed. He had said that to waitresses but he hadn't meant it like he did with Harriet. He relaxed back as he waited for her to get out of the bathroom. He smiled looking over at her. He liked how she so casually used her magic. It was endearing to him. He looked over at her and smiled as she spoke. "I got it from Egypt. I don't find reading a bedtime activity so this allows my brain to process without thinking and keeps my hands busy. It's an easy way for me to relax for bed when my mind is too occupied." he said leaned over handing her the puzzle.

Zane woke feeling Rosemarie wiggling as she woke. He smiled and rolled over placing a kiss to her head. He rubbed her back softly and yawned. He blinked his eyes open a little then closed his eyes again and hummed. He breathed her in and relaxed feeling better with her there in his arms. It was then he realized that he was stressed. He had been all night knowing that Thibault and Cassia where just down the hall. Zane yawned and opened his eyes again.

Cassia shook her head. "I am fine love." she said and rubbed his chest. "I know you're worried but I don't get the vibe from them like I do other vampires." she said and kissed him softly. "I know it's hard but let's just see what we can accomplish today." she said. Cassia looked over at Thibault. "Are you asking me if I would stay here or requesting? Because if you're asking I much rather go down to the beach. But if you need me closer because you're worried I will stay closer. But I also hope you remember quite well that I am very capable of kicking ass." she said and smirked at her words.

Harriet nodded a little as he explained his puzzle, shifting a bit so that she could settle into bed, sitting up against the pillows as he handed the puzzle to her, turning it over in her hands. "Seems like a Rubik's cube to me.. I've never been able to solve one without magic, so good for you for being able to figure it out." She smiled, passing it back to him as she yawned, further settling into the mattress as she laid down and tucked the blanket over her, laying on her side so she could look at him with curious but tired eyes. "... What is your mind occupied with, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked softly, feeling her eyelids getting heavier now that she was laying down, but Celtin was her friend, and if he wanted to talk she'd be there for him.

Rosemarie hummed tiredly as he tugged her into his arms, relaxing further as she snuggled close, her arms wrapping around him. She had nearly drifted off to sleep again when Zane's stirring woke her, whining a bit as she gripped him tighter. "Eleanor says you have to stay here with us." She pouted, burying her face in his chest.

"You've only met one other vampire, Cassia." Thibault pointed out with a frown, sighing as she asked him to let her see what she could get done. "...Fine." There was little use arguing with her, especially when she wanted something. He tugged her closer as she asked about his request, chuckling a bit. "I know you can. But we're outnumbered, and separating us is a tactic. Please, stay on the grounds for today. Maybe once I've gotten a better read on the situation you can go to the beach."

"Yeah it's kinda like that but there is more to it." he shrugged. Celtin set the block down on the nightstand and turned off the light at Harriet laid down. He shifted into bed smiling as he looked at her laying next to him. "Well a few things but nothing that wont still be there in the morning." he said smiling. "Get some sleep. I don't want you to fall asleep on me while I'm telling you all my angst." Celtin tucked her hair behind her ear. "Sleep well Harriet." he whispered to her.

Zane chuckled. "Well if she says so then I must listen." he said and stroked her hair as she held him captive, not that he would have had it any other way. Zane looked down at her watching her sleeping form and grinned to himself.

"I have only gotten to know one other vampire, your sister but I have met plenty." she said reminding him of the club and the brief other time vampires had stoped by or passed them. She grinned leaning into him as he held her closer. She loved his chuckle and how it rumbled into her this close to him. Cassia nodded and kissed his lips softly. "Yes love I will stay close. Anything to make you feel secure. But it could also be a tactic that we trust them first. After all we are already in their house which is already a form of trust." she pointed out.

Harriet hummed tiredly as she settled under the blankets when he turned off the light, knowing it'd be practically impossible to stay awake now. "But I'm you're friend, and friends stay up to talk to their friends and help them with their problems." She murmured sleepily as he tucked her hair behind her ear, eyes fluttering up for a moment to look at him with a little smile.

Rosemarie smiled as Zane agreed to stay, snuggling into his arms before drifting into a light sleep. She woke an hour or so later, rolling onto her back to stretch tiredly, humming as she looked over at him. "The nursery seems far away.. Do you think that we could get a bassinet to put next to the bed for when Eleanor is born? It'd be easier to feed her that way in the night.." She murmured.

"True.." Thibault chuckled, keeping her tucked close in his arms. "I'd still feel comfortable if you stayed on the property just for today. You can suggest that you and Celtin go running on the beach tomorrow, but I think it'd be perfectly reasonable for you to want to stay here for today, especially since we just arrived, and it would be reasonable for you to want to stay close." He pointed out. He knew she wanted to get out and do things her own way, but he needed at least one more day before he'd be willing to let her go further than the mansion grounds.

Celtin chuckled. "And I am your friend. And friends let friends sleep especially after a double at work." he chuckled and grinned as he watched her. "Besides it's not a problem really. So sleep easily and You can ask me in the morning." he said and laid back on his back. He closed his eyes stretching out and relaxing back into the bed.

Zane grinned and chuckled. "Yes we can defiantly do that while she is young but there might be a night or so once you are healed up that I would like her to spend at least a little time in her crib so I can have a moment with her mama." He spoke suggestively. Zane would be helping a lot. He was fine to go without sleep. He had done it for much less important things before.

Cassia nodded and rolled them over so she was straddling his waist sitting above him. She looked down at him as they spoke. She rubbed his chest. "I will stay close today." she promised. "And I wont make any suggestions just yet for tomorrow but will suggest it for the future." She hoped that this all gave him some comfort. Cassia leaned in and kissed him. She squirmed over his lap then slipped off the bed with an evil grin hoping she had successfully distracted him.

Harriet hummed tiredly in response as she let her eyes close again, tugging the blankets around her as she settled into the mattress after she'd scooted a little closer to him to try to stay a bit warmer. "Alright.. Goodnight, Celtin. I hope you have pleasant dreams." She murmured, drifting off to sleep soon after.

Rosemarie smiled, giggling softly as he teased her, pressing a kiss to his lips. "Of course, Zane. You're my bond, I'd never want to ignore you like that. But yes, we'll have to wait until I've healed and we're sure Eleanor is healthy and old enough for her to be alone for a while." She explained, resting her head against his chest with a sigh. "I know it'll be a hard adjustment, but I'm so grateful you're giving us a chance to have a family.."

Thibault groaned a bit as she wiggled her hips over his before slipping out of bed, giving her a look as he chuckled and shook his head. They'd talked before they left about being intimate on their trip, and had decided that they'd wait until the intensity of the situation had died down a bit, which he knew would be hard given how irresistible she was, but he'd wait until he felt they were safe. ,

Celtin grinned as she finally let herself fall asleep and he wrapped an arm around her and let himself follow in sleep after her. Celtin woke in the morning and hummed feeling a body pressed to his. He breathed her in and leaned his head down breathing her in more. He ran his hand down her side remembering it was Harriet and grinned. He was very glad she had stayed. He still wasn't sure how they had stayed just friends even after a date and him teaching her to swim and the few heated kisses that followed. He was glad to be her friend of course but he had to figure out a way to make her see he wanted to bond with her.

Zane smiled. "Babies are fine to be on their own when they are sleeping." he said and stroked her hair. "I told you that if there was a way then I would make it happen for you. Cassia grinned loving that she could so easily work him up. She wished there was something she could do with this morning need but she was going to have to just be okay with just teas ing Thibault. She went and got ready for a run. She figured she would go and see if there was anything she could get for some food around here before that but it was going to be interesting to find the kitchen in a new house.

Harriet slept soundly through the night, curled up against Celtin. She woke shortly after he did, humming tiredly as she shifted a bit, her shirt having ridden up in the night to nearly reveal her breasts.
