Danny watched her, "I can go with you if you want." He offered. He could tell she was nervous, "Are you okay?" He asked her. He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at the lady behind the counter he motioned them over. HE walked with her and let her sit so she could talk to the lady about what was wrong. He stood behind her and crossed his arms, watching her.

Lennox sighed and walked away. She headed towards practice and left her friend alone. Brooke looked at Oliver and his friends then moved over to them. She had never talked to them. "Here." She said, handing them a invite to her house party that weekend. She handed it to Oliver.

Ryan looked at Brooke, "I'm sorry are you confused?" He joked, chuckling.

Brooke looked at them, then looked at Oliver, "Lennox seems to enjoy your company so you should come to my party. Bring your friends." She said before she walked away.

Finley frowned, shaking her head a little when he mentioned leaving, unsure of what to say though. She followed the nurse back to a room, taking a seat while the nurse examined her hand, explaining that she'd accidentally closed her hand in her locker. The nurse frowned as she examined the injury, glancing suspiciously at Danny, noticing how nervous Finley was. "Well, I'll bring you back to get your x-rays, now." She stated after while, guiding Finley out of the room to get the x-rays done. They returned about ten minutes later, the nurse leaving them alone, saying that a doctor would be in shortly to look at the results.

Oliver had gone back to looking through his locker, making a mental note to clean it out later, when Brooke came up to him and offered him the invitation. He blinked in surprise, taking it from her slowly with a little nod. "Um.. Alright, thanks."

Danny noticed the way that the nurse looked at him. He sat down in the chair and watched as Finley was taken to get her xray done. He looked at her when she returned, "She thinks I did that to you." He told her once they were alone. He was surprised the nurse made that assumption, but he didn't blame her. It did look kind of sketchy.

After she was done with practice Lennox left and started walking to her house. She decided to stop at the subway on the way home since her mom was going to be working late and her dad was out of town. She walked into the store and stood in line to order her food.

Finley frowned as he said that the nurse believed it was his fault for her injury, shaking her head a little as she looked up at him. "But.. But it isn't... You're kind..." She murmured softly, looking down at her hand with a sigh.

Soon enough the doctor came in with her results, informing her that while nothing was broken, she'd probably have a lot of bruising and pain for the next few weeks, and that she'd need to be more careful about shutting her locker door. Finley nodded at the doctor's instructions, taking the pain meds he gave her before hurrying out of the hospital, breathing a sigh of relief once she was outside.

Oliver, to help support his family in paying his sister's medical bills, had recently gotten a job on the afternoon shift at the local sandwich shop, having been friends with the owner for a while. As Lennox was finishing her order he walked out from the back, hanging up his apron and hat on the little hook. "Thanks, Mr. Andrews, see you tomorrow!" He called back into the kitchen, pausing when he saw Lennox. "Oh, hey..."

Danny walked with Finley and looked at her, "Well at least you aren't hurt too badly." He said, smiling. "Are you hungry? We can go get something to eat if you want." He said. He unlocked his doors and got in. "What do you want to eat?" He asked as he turned his body towards her slightly as he waited for her to decide.

Lennox took her bag from the girl behind the counter and looked over as Oliver spoke. "Hey." She said, smiling. She wasn't aware that he worked there. She was surprised she had never seen him because she got food there a lot. Lennox walked with him out of the shop, "When did you start working here?" She asked.

Finley frowned a little when he offered her food, shaking her head a little. "No.. I-I should just go home.. And you should go back to school." She stated, hesitating outside of the car, not getting in despite the door being open for her.

"Oh, just in the last week or so. I didn't realize anyone from school came here.." Oliver smiled a little, having thought that no one from school ever ate here, at least not when he was scheduled to work. "How was practice?" He asked, gesturing to her bag, trying to change the subject.

Danny looked at her, "Are you sure?" He asked her. He nodded then started the car, "So how do I get to your place?" He asked. He began driving to her house, "If you want me to I can start on that project tonight myself and we can just do something tomorrow since that medicine will probably make you really tired." He explained as he drove. He didn't want her to feel like she had to do stuff for him, especially since she was hurt now. He listened to the music in the car, realizing how shy she actually was. Years of bullying could do that to a person though.

Lennox smiled, "I'm pretty sure it is just me." She said. She shrugged when he asked about practice, "Eh it was alright." She told him as they walked. "Pretty much the same as it always is." She said. "Brooke said she invited you to her party this weekend." She said, looking at him. "Are you going to come?" She asked. She really hadn't realized how easy it was to talk to Oliver. She never talked to him before, but she wasn't hating it. He didn't seem as bad as everyone made him out to be.

Finley frowned a little, quietly giving him her address so he could bring her home. She shook her head when he offered to start the project alone. "No.. I can do it. I promise, I can get it done by myself." She said, staring down at her lap. She felt awful, feeling like his kindness was just going to end up being some big prank, that he'd drive her to a field somewhere, where all his friends would be waiting, and they'd all just beat her up and leave her.

Oliver nodded, holding the door open for her as they walked out, saying one last goodnight to the people inside before heading out, walking down the street slowly. "Oh, yeah, that party... Ryan and Johnny want to go for the free beer, and I guess since technically Brooke invite me, I'm their ticket in... So I guess I'll show up, at leat for a little while." He glanced over at her with a smile. "Don't worry, I'll be there and gone before Aaron even notices."

Danny frowned, "Why do you insist on doing that by yourself? I mean I think it would look really bad on me if you did that. Plus if my mom found out she would kill me." He said. He parked in her driveway and looked at her, "Let me start the project and then we can do it together. I promise I won't fuck it up that badly." He teased her as he watched her. "You should just go inside and get some rest." He told her.

Lennox smiled, "Yea seems like you have no choice." She teased him. She shrugged when he mentioned Aaron, "Aaron's a dickhead anyway so don't worry about him." She said. She walked with him, "He thinks everyone likes him, but nobody does." She said, laughing a little.

Finley frowned as he spoke, staring down at her lap. By the time he reached her house, she looked like she was ready to burst into tears. She wasn't used to such kindness, even from her own family, who all hated her, and despite wanting to believe that he meant it, she couldn't help but feel like he was lying to her, that something bad was going to happen if she trusted him.

"Th-Thank you.." She mumbled softly before getting out of the car, quickly shutting the door and hurrying to her front door, wanting to be inside and away from him, feeling like she couldn't breathe in the car.

Oliver chuckled a little, shrugging. "And then there's me. The guy who everyone hates, and who knows that everyone hates him." He shrugged, stopping at a crosswalk and looking both ways. "Oh, I should have asked, which way are you heading? I don't want to keep you from getting home, especially since I'm just keeping you from your dinner."

Danny watched as she went inside, then pulled out of her driveway and headed back to school. After his practice he went to his house and started on the project. He figured he could do the research part at least and get a head start on things.

The next day at school he walked over to Finley, "Hey." He said, seeing her jump slightly. "Sorry." He apologized. He held out a few papers to her. "I went ahead and did all the research. I hope that was okay. You can look over it if you want." He explained to her.

Lennox smiled, "No, not everyone hates you. I don't hate you." She said. She walked with him across the street, "I actually am heading this way as well." She said. She didn't realize they lived that close to each other. She felt bad that she hadn't realized that. She really was self absorb and she never noticed it. She got to her house and looked at him, "You know I did not realized you live this close." She said, laughing softly. "I feel terrible." She said as they stood in her driveway.

Finley jumped in surprise when he came up to her, expecting him to be someone else. She turned and looked at him with a small frown, carefully taking the papers from him. "O-Oh.. Oh, a-alright, thanks.." She murmured softly, glancing over the papers.

Oliver chuckled a little when she said that he didn't hate her, shaking his head a little. "Ha ha, funny." He hummed, glancing over at her house as they paused. "Oh, yeah.... Didn't I used to ride my bike here in elementary school?" He asked as he looked around the familiar neighborhood.

Danny smiled, "Alright, I guess I will see you later then." He said. He was hoping that she would be willing to work with him one the project. He knew that if he kept bugging her that he would slowly break her down and that she would end up getting use to him. Danny walked away and found some of his friend. He frowned when they made jokes about him talking to Finley. "We are doing a project together. Knock it off." He said.

Lennox smiled, "Maybe." She said. She looked at him, "Did you want to come in?" she asked, gesturing towards her house. "It's just me." She assured him. She didn't know if he had time or not, but she honestly hated sitting in the big house alone all the time. "I'll share." She teased him as she motioned to her sandwich.

Finley nodded a little, going through the rest of her day normally, spending her lunch period in the library, not bothering to eat her lunch, as someone usually ended up messing with her.

Oliver blinked in surprise at her invitation inside, shrugging a little. "I mean... Yeah, I guess, if you don't mind.. I won't eat your sandwich though." He chuckled, walking up to her front door with her, hoping that none of her friends would show up, as it wouldn't look good.

Danny laughed as he walked with his friends towards his locker. He had practice, but he knew that he had to work on his project with Finley that evening. He found her and smiled, "So are you going to come over later?" He asked her. He looked behind him, seeing his friends walking out of the school. "I shouldn't be late or anything like that. Unless you want to hang out here and just ride with me to my house." He offered.

Lennox smiled, "Good because i'm really hungry." She said, laughing, "I was just being nice." She said as she unlocked the door and walked inside. She turned the lights on in her house and set her food on the counter. "I will be right back." She said, taking her bag and going upstairs. She put her stuff in her room then came back downstairs and stood in the kitchen with him. "Do you want something to drink?" She asked as she opened her sandwich.

Finley looked up at him when he came up to her, nodding a little. "Y-Yeah.. Sure, I can wait.." She murmured softly, glancing back behind him at his friends. "Um... Where should I meet you when you're done?" She asked.

Oliver chuckled as he followed her inside, nodding a little as he looked around her house. "I'll just take a glass of water, nothing big." He smiled, leaning back against the counter. "Nice house."

Danny smiled, "We can just meet at my car if you want." he said. He didnt want her to feel like she had to be in a postion she didnt want to be in. Danny smiled, "Or you can come watch." He said.

Lennox got him a glas sof water. "Thanks." She said. She began to eat her sandwich. "Are you sure you dont want some?" She asked him. "I dont mind sharing." She said. She pushed some of her blonde hair our of her face before she continued to eat her turkey sub. She doubted he would like it though since she put some weird stuff on it.

Finley frowned a little, looking up at him. "W-Watch..? What do you mean?" She asked as she looked up at him, putting her books and papers into her backpack.

Oliver took a few sips of his water, smiling at her when she offered him his sandwich. "Thank you, but it smells a little weird." He chuckled, shaking his head. "Plus, working in a sub shop makes sandwiches much less appealing."

Danny smiled, "You could sit on the bleachers while I practice." He suggested. "Come on." He said, walking with her. He walked towards the field with her after he was ready and watched as she climbed onto the bleachers. He went over to his team and set his stuff down.

Lennox nodded, "Oh it is a weird sandwich." She said. "I put like every sauce on it." She said. She finished eating half of her sub then put the rest in the fridge. "Come on." She said. She sat down on the couch with him and turned on the tv. "Anything you want to watch?" She asked.

Finley nodded, following him slowly outside and out to the fields, moving to sit on the bleachers while he practiced. She pulled out a book to read while she waited, occasionally glancing up to watch him.

Oliver laughed, following her into the living room. "Oh, no, I'm not a big TV person.." He murmured, taking a seat on the other side of the couch, making sure to keep his distance in case she was uncomfortable.
