Ryker looked at her, "Yea, I do like to come watch once in awhile. Though I have never raced before. I'm pretty sure my parents would kill me if they found out I came here. I brought Cameron once." He explained. He watched as the race started. He really just loved the energy of the environment and how excited and happy everyone was around them.

Nova looked up at Ryker as the race started seeing the look on his face and smiled. "I bet Cameron loved it to, well if he could have been the one racing." she said and chuckled. Nova grinned. "That was fun but I think you loved it way more than I did. I never pegged you for a rule breaker though." she teased and smiled at him. "At this point why are we going home so early? Let's go out and have a little fun. "Maybe you can see what one of my parties is like." she said her eyes daring him to come with her and experience what she did normally.

Nova chuckled. 'Loosen up Ryker." she said and got out of the car the music already roaring and people shouting from the windows. Nova smiled at him. "Don't be scared." she winked. They walked into the smokey house and nova took Ryker's hand leading him back towards the kitchen. She offered him a water knowing he would rather die than drink and drive in his precious car. Just as well. She took a drink and drank it down. People where crowded in talking over the music and drinking a subtle sway moving through the entire house. Nova walked with Ryker towards the music. People sang a long and others danced. They passed the smoking room where guys and girls a like took drags from a blunt and other things where being passed around to the dance room where people mashed together body on body as they moved to the beat. Every now and then there was a break of people for a good solo dancer. Nova nodded towards the dance floor at Ryker in question.

Cameron laughed and hummed softly resting back against his truck. She kissed him and he kissed her back pulling her closer into his lap. "Well what did you think of our little outdoor adventure. Think you would want to do it more with me?" he winked. "I meant the climbing not just the fucking." He teased. He wouldn't mind fucking afterwards but he loved to climb and camp and hike. He was all about the outdoors.

Ryker took the drink from her, realizing why her mom was so worried about her. He watched as she moved to the dance floor. He took a swig of his water as he watched her before he let her take his hand. "You really like this dont you?" He teased her.

Lennox thought about it as she relaxed against him. "I mean it was fun. We can do it again if you want." She said as she held his hands. Lennox kissed his cheek then started to get dressed. She smiled at him, "We should get going." She said.

Nova pouted and shook her head. She should be able to do what she wanted. A drink wouldn't hurt her. She shrugged it off. When they got to the music and she looked back at him as he yelled into her ear to speak to her and she shook her head. He really had no idea at all. She came to theses places to sink away from her reality for a while. Nova smiled at him and pulled him close her body pressed to his as other bodies bumped into them pressing them closer to each other. She smiled up at him as she moved against him her hips sultry and teasing to the beat.

Cameron was kind of surprised she said she would do it again. "Careful I might take you up on that." he said knowing he would wait a while and let her think it over so she didn't get burned out and wouldn't go with him. He smiled at her thinking she was amazing as he looked down at her hands. She kissed his cheek and he watched her dress. She was just as sexy getting dressed as undressed. He chuckled and dressed then nodded pulling his shirt on as he hopped out of the truck. "Sure Lex anywhere you need to go." he said and winked at her. Once he had cleaned up and out his truck back in order he hopped in the cab of his truck and looked over at Lennox. "Tell me where sweets."

Ryker danced with her then after a bit he took her hand and took her away from the crowd. He stepped outside and looked at her, "I have to ask you something. If you don't like this life then why do you do it?" He asked. "You can tell me you know." He said before he kissed her cheek. He knew that she use to tell him a lot of things that she didn't tell anyone else.

Lennox got in his truck and looked at him, "Well, we could go get some ice cream then head back to my place if you want." She said. She liked just spending time with him. "I have to get some homework done though." She told him. She knew if she didn't do it that night that she would probably never do it.

Nova looked up at Ryker as he pulled her outside. It was cold tonight. She looked up at him as he finally stopped. She sighed as he asked her that question. She paused when he kissed her cheek and frowned looking down and pulled her hair to the side. She wanted to be snarky and push the question away but he was persistent and it was Ryker, the one she has always had a weakness for. She sighed again and looked up at him. "If you have to ask that question then you aren't ready to hear my answer." Nova turned from him and pulled her arms around her waist. "I think if anyone should understand me it would be you Ryker...." she looked at him. "Do you just choose to ignore it? Or do you really not understand? You see it all, I can't hide anything from you so how do you not understand yet?" she asked and shook her head. "I'm going back inside." she said and moved towards the door. "I can find my own ride home." she said her eyes having gone hard to hide the pain.

Cameron sighed. "Homework. Ever the good girl." he winked at her and nodded. "Yeah ice cream and homework. I think it's a deal." he said and started to take the long drive back into town. He listened tot he radio and hummed a long. He was completely tone def but he loved music, or listening o it at least.

Ryker frowned as she started to walk away. He grabbed her hand, "Nova, stop please." He said. "I know you have a rough life, but I don't think hiding in here is a good idea." He said. He didn't like the idea of her trying to drowned her sorrows in alcohol. Ryker looked down at her, "Are you sure you are okay? I really think we should go home." He told her.

Lennox laughed, "More like if I don't pass my math class my grandma will never let me leave the house again." She said, smiling. When they got to the ice cream place she got out of the truck and walked inside with him. She ordered a chocolate and vanilla twisted cone. She waited for Cameron to get his ice cream then sat down with him.

Nova looked at him as he grabbed her hand and stopped her. She let the door close that she had opened trapping the noise inside. She sighed. "Why does it matter Ryker?" she asked him looking at him. "If you don't want to be here say it but why does it matter what I do? My parents hardly notice and when they do they only forbid me to do it again. Tell me Ryker who really cares? My closest friend and family is you. So tell me who really cares?" She shook her head and pulled her hand carefully from his. She didn't know what else to say to him.

Cameron laughed. "I could help you with that." he winked at her. "You should start by actually going to class." he teased and parked his truck. They got out and got ice cream sitting down together eating. He had gotten cookie dough of course. Cameron guessed he could work on homework with her. It was all in his truck anyways.

Ryker frowned as he looked at her, "Nova, I care. Don't you realize that. My parents care about you and so do you parents. Even if it doesn't feel like it. "This is not good for you and living like this won't end well. If you hate being at our place so much then work to get away from it." He said. He hated to know that she was giving up.

Lennox laughed a little, "Class is so boring though." She said to him. She finished her ice cream. "Come on, let's go back to my place." She said. She walked back to his truck and got in. Once they got to her house she grabbed her stuff and walked in. She smiled as her grandma greeted them and hugged Cameron. She had always likes Cameron. Lennox walked with him to her room and sat down on her bed, pulling out her books. "Alright let's get this stupid stuff done." She said, smiling.

Nova shook her head. "You know what I have learned Ryker? I have learned that love is not something you know it is something that is proven to you. There has only one person that proves it to me every time I push them Ryker. Only one and I don't even know if he sees me." she said her eyes searching his. "So yeah until I know I am hurrying myself. I don't know what else to do. It's what everyone else around me does just in their own ways." Nova said and shook her head. She didn't feel like partying anymore. "I want to go home." she said and went around the house towards Ryker's car. She feared two things. She feared he wouldn't understand what she was saying and yet she feared he would too.

They got back to her place and he took his bag inside. He sat back onto her bed and chuckled at her reluctance. He pulled out his books. "Alright let's see here. Where are you behind at?" he asked. He knew that Lennox's grandma loved that he helped her with homework. It was probably the only reason that she allowed Cameron to be around her. He grinned and flipped open his book.

Ryker frowned as she spoke and started to walk away. He rubbed the back of his neck and followed her. He felt like he knew what she meant, but he was afraid to ask her. He wanted her to like him as more than her friend, but he was also afraid of the rejection. He got in his car and looked at her, "I'm sorry." He said before he started the car and headed towards their house.

Lennox looked at him and smiled, "I don't think i'm that behind." She teased him. She ran her fingers through her hair then watched him. She leaned over and kissed him, moving closer to him. She knew it was more of distraction, but she also wanted to kiss him.

Nova looked out the window not bothering to wipe the tear that slipped down her cheek. “I don’t feel like talking anymore.” She said and rolled down the window turning up the music not paying mind to the cold night air. When they got home she had her composure back and smiled at Ryker. “Thanks for the fun tonight.” She smacked his arm playfully and the jogged up the stairs and then slipped up into her room closing the door and locking it. She sighed dressed turned out the lights and laid under her blankets staring up at the ceiling.

Cameron hummed as their lips met. It was such a surprise. He ran his hands up her back and cupped her cheek slowing the kiss down and ending it naturally. “Careful you’ll spoil me if you do that to often.” He teased and kissed her temple. He sat back and looked up at her. He wanted nothing more than to let her distract him with her sensual ways but he couldn’t in good sense do that.

Ryker walked inside with her then watched as she ran into her room. He frowned as he walked into his room and shut the door. He sat down on his bed and rubbed the back of his neck. He got ready for bed then laid down. He looked at his phone, texting Cameron, So tonight with Nova was a bust. She is pissed at me. He knew he had upset her. He knew the next day would be better because movie night with Cameron and Lennox would finally be there. They did it ever weekend.

Lennox watched as he moved away, "You know you aren't doing your part." She teased him. She went back to working on her stuff. She was glad when she was finally down. She shut her book and tossed it on her desk. "Ugh! That was awful." She said as she laid back on her bed and stared at her ceiling. She glanced over at him, seeing him texting away.

Cameron was finished with his homework way before Lennox was so when Ryker texted him he frowned sitting back and going over it. Well what the hell did you do... or say... or not say... or not do? Fuck women are hard. Cameron snickered to himself because he knew any of those thing could really screw up women in a deep emotional way. He looked up as Lennox tossed her book and smiled. "You did brilliant. Ryker is having some problems. I'm just trying to help him sort through it." he said and smiled at her. He sat up and slipped his phone in his pocket waiting on a response. "Hey you want me to cook tonight?" he asked.

Ryker stared at his phone, I don't fucking know what I did! I will tell you more tomorrow night. It is a long ass story. He sent the text then laid his phone down and closed his eyes.

THE NEXT NIGHT

Ryker sat with Cameron as they waited for Lennox to show up so they could start watching movies. His parents went out so they had the house to themselves. "So I asked her why she partied so much and then I guess she got mad because I was trying to find out too much about her." He explained as he told him about Nova. "I didn't think it would piss her off that much. Up until that point things went well." He said.

Lennox walked into Ryker's house. "Hey assholes." She said, finding the two guys on the couch. She sat down with them, seeing that they had been talking about something. "What?" She asked, looking at them. She had went to the mall with her friend during the day. Well the girl was more of an acquaintance. Sometimes she wanted to talk to a girl for once. She looked at Cameron and smiled. "What did you do?" She asked, looking at Ryker.

Cameron nodded as he listened to Ryker. “Damn, well what did she say?” He asked thinking that maybe it was more complicated than that because it seemed Nova trusted Ryker more than anyone. He looked up as Lennox came in and fell into the couch with them. Cameron poked her side. “We’re just trying to figure out why Nova is pissed at Ryker this time.” He shrugged and looked over at Ryker. “I have found if you have a girl problem ask a girl.” He said and looked at Lennox.
