Hayden looked at her, "Well, I think you made the right decision by coming here. You would have probably died out like the rest of them anyway." He said. He sometimes didn't catch on to when he was being a dick and he knew he needed to work on it. He sighed, "I'm sorry, I just don't think your pack will last." He said. "It was nice of you to offer to help your sister though." He said. "My father honestly would have probably killed her off when he found out she was ill." He admitted to her.
Lennox didn't say anything as he sat down and she continued to eat her food. She didn't really know what to say to him and it had pissed her off last night that she had tried to be nice to him and he shut her down. She just wanted to tell him off and make him feel like shit. Lennox stared at her food then finished it and got up. She washed off her plate and went to the living room to sit down. She sighed as his mother came through the door. Lennox crossed her arms as she sat there and listened to her in the kitchen.

Riley sent him a glare as he talked bad about her pack. It didn't help when he apologized about it either. Rolling her eyes she stood up before moving to her suitcase, quickly pulling out her sleep clothes. She didn't care if he wanted to talk or if his parents were still there. She was done with him and everyone for the night. If she had to sleep on the couch that's what she was going to do. She hated how she'd opened up to him and let him in. But she should have known better. Stepping into the bathroom she quickly changed before heading out of the room. Walking down stairs she made it into the living room thankful his parents were gone. Before she laid down on the couch. Her eye focused on the black screen of the tv.
Weston watched as she quickly got up and left the room, not like he cared. He was just glad she was eating. He didn't know what he'd do if she wouldn't eat. Quickly finishing his plate he sat back full, a small smile on his face. He was feed and didn't have any harping in his ear. Closing his eyes he heard footsteps though he didn't dare open his eyes. "Is this how you plan to treat your mate?" She questioned him, his eyes opened locking eyes with his mother. "Never mind, I don't know where you get off on speaking to me like that." She told him talking about last night. "You will get married to that girl out there and will give me grandchildren." She told him, before he stood and shook his head. "Mother you don't have any power, none." He told her, watching as she blinked at him. "Blair and I plan on getting married, but she decides on all the details every last one. And if our wedding isn't what she wants down to the last detail then you can kiss grand kids goodbye." He smirked at her. "And you leave her alone, whatever you've got going on in that head of yours won't work. So if you can't give her the wedding she wants then get out of my house and never speak to me again." He told her. He really hated that she'd put him in this situation and was demanding more of him. "Also we will tell you when we're ready to marry." He told her, "I have already spoken to dad about when we're expected to wed." He told her. He watched as she did her best to process the information he was giving her, and knew it was eating at her that she didn't have to upper hand.

Hayden sighed as she walked into the bathroom to get changed. He let her go downstairs and got changed then walked downstairs. "Are you seriously going to sleep on the couch because I upset you?" He asked, crossing his arms. He didn't know how they were going to make this work. He had to wait a year to even mate with her and it was going to be a very very long year. He shook his head then walked to the kitchen to get himself something to drink. He couldn't stop thinking about the hunters his dad has mentioned. He didn't need them getting close to the village.
Blair laid on the couch, staring at the ceiling as he told his mother offer. It was kind of amusing to hear how upset the woman got. When she heard his mom walk into the room and ask about when she wanted to get married she didn't take her eyes off the ceiling. "Well, I hate him so...probably a long time." She said, hearing his mom huff and leave. She didn't think she could ever picture herself being with Weston like everyone wanted. He didn't want to open up or be nice and she didn't plan on playing nice to him either. She looked over when she heard him walk out of the kitchen. She rolled her eyes as he looked at her then looked back up at the ceiling. She felt like she was a prisoner in his house.

Riley rolled her eyes before sighing, "didn't want to make things difficult for you." She told him knowing that it was bullshit, but they were going to have to take thing slow so she'd remove herself from the bedroom. She wasn't the only one that noticed the way things had shifted in the bedroom last night. And sure he had pissed her off so she wanted time away from him. She hated how he could make her feel so important and then in the same breathe make her feel like shit. She let out a sigh before rolling to face the back of the couch, not wanting to deal with him now.
Weston stood and took his plate to the skin, he could hear the two in the living room. He couldn't help the laugh that worked it way out of his chest. She was something else, and he couldn't say he didn't like it. Moving to the living room he looked at her his brow raised. When she made no effort to speak he took his chance. "Thank you for making breakfast, and dinner last night." He knew he hadn't bothered to thank her for anything she'd done since he'd brought her hear. Taking a seat in his chair he looked at her. "You wanted to talk last night, what now you have nothing to say?" He asked.

Hayden sighed, "Okay, well you go up there and sleep and I will take the couch." He said. He stared at her, "I'm serious go. You aren't sleeping here." He said. He didn't care if she was stubborn or not. He was just as stubborn. He watched her and then grabbed a blanket. He laid on the couch and fell asleep.

The next morning he got up and got dressed then headed to Weston's house. He knocked then stepped in. "We need to talk." He said to his friend. He watched as Blair went upstairs and looked at Wes. "My dad says they think they spotted hunters outside the perimeter. I was think we could go check it out with the guys." He suggested.

    --

Blair looked at him, "Last night you said you didn't want to talk to me. So, how is today any different. You clearly don't care what I have to say." She said before she looked away from him. She didn't like the way he made her feel like she didn't matter. She got up when Hayden came in. She sighed as she walked upstairs. Blair stopped where she couldn't be seen and listened to them. If there was one thing that scared her it was hunters. Blair was lost in her own thoughts as she leaned against the wall. When Weston came around the corner she gasped and jumped as he bumped into her. "Sorry." She said, walking away from him even though she was sure he came to talk to her.

Riley huffed as she pushed herself up off the couch, before heading up stair to the bed. Crawling in she was enveloped in his scent. A sigh left her before she cuddled up to his pillow and fell asleep. Upon waking the next morning the house was rather quiet. Pulling herself from bed she wandered down the stair a frown pulling at her lips as she noticed Hayden gone. She felt like she'd been kicked in the gut. Did he even sleep here, her thoughts were running wild with her, making her pace the floor. She knew that they were suppose to mate and he'd even said it was okay that he had to wait. But that didn't mean there wasn't other options out there, other ways he could cheat. Though was it cheating? She was confusing herself and really she was worried about the stupidest of things.
Weston turned his glare to the tv knowing she was just trying to get a rise out of him. "Last night I wanted to sleep and I wanted you to shut up so I could." He told her honestly turning his attention to Hayden as he walked in. "Hey man," he greeted he watched as Blair left the room, thankful because he didn't know what he'd end up staying to his best friend. Though his thoughts quickly changed, he knew that hunters were bad news and letting them get to close to camp could uproot everything. "Yeah, give me twenty minutes and I'll be ready." He told him, before looking up the stairs, motioning to him he was speaking about Blair. He watched as his friend left, before heading upstairs. "Whoa." He said grabbing her arm as she tried to run off from him. "Were you listening?" He asked softly, if she was it would be easier on him he wouldn't have to explain everything to her.

Hayden walked back to his house and walked inside. He found Riley in the living room, "Sorry, I had to go talk to Wes. I didn't want to wake you up." He said. He knew that just disappearing wasn't a thing to do. "We are going to go check out the perimeter today. I want you to stay here." He said. He didn't want her getting in a fight with anyone in the pack and he didn't want her to wander off and get caught up in the whole hunter thing.
Blair looked at him when he grabbed her arm. She stared at him for a moment when he asked if she was listening to them. She nodded, "Yes." She replied. She pulled her arm away from his grip. She didn't move away from him though. Blair didn't know why, but the thought of him leaving and not coming back freaked her out. She knew that if something happened to him that his pack would easily just get rid of her. "You're going with him?" She asked, trying to snap herself out of those thoughts.

Riley furrowed her brows at the sudden need to speak with Weston. She wasn't stupid and knew he was trying to hid something from her. Right now she wasn't in the mood to deal with him, "are you going to eat breakfast before you leave?" She asked as she turned to head to the kitchen. She could make something, though right now she'd more than likely spit in his due to her foul mood.
Weston nodded, "we're going to make sure they are hunters." He told her, before moving closer to her. "Look I know that you hate it here, but I need you to stay in this house while I'm gone." He told her. "No body will bother you hear, maybe my mother, but she's really harmless." He told her. "But please don't go running again around again. I need to make sure this isn't a threat." He told her. He wanted to make this work even though his heart wasn't in it. But he had a short time to get over it. "So please promise me you'll stay inside. Because I can't be worried about you while I'm out there." He knew he needed to fully focus out there.

Hayden nodded, "Yea I will eat." He said. He walked with her to the kitchen and looked at her, "Do you want me to help you?" He asked. He didn't know if she had a certain thing she wanted to make. He got them down some plates then set them down. He sighed as he got them some forks. He looked at her, "I really need you to stay here okay?" He told her. He didn't want her to try to run off.
Blair looked at him, "I won't leave. I promise." She said, looking up at him. She didn't need to risk dealing with hunters. She bit her bottom lip lightly and looked away from him. She hated that he could probably sense how scared she was. She looked at him, "How long will you be gone?" She asked. She was glad that he wasn't being a jerk about everything.

Riley quickly pulled out some eggs and premade sausage, though normally she'd cook it herself. Throwing some of the patties into the microwave, she started digging thing out for what she was wanting to make. Hearing him she sighed, but didn't stop her movements. "You said you wanted this to work last night." She knew they weren't his exact words, but knew where he was coming from. "So I'm not going anywhere." She told him, before pulling the sausage out of the microwave, quickly shredding it into little pieces she threw it into a frying pan. Cracking a few eggs she mixed everything to gather turning on the hit and letting the egg cook. Once they were done she poured a bit of salsa into the pan coating everything before stirring it up real good. Once done she covered the top with shredded cheese. Moving way from the pan letting the flame still cook it she started to prepare a couple of tortillas, once done she scoped some of hot food into the tortilla before rolling it up quickly and giving it to him. "Want anything to drink?" She asked him, since he had to eat and run.
Weston looked at her a soft smile forming on his lips as she hid her face from him. He knew they both could feel the tension between them. They both wanted to mate, but because they didn't want it to be forced they were choosing to lash out at each other. Also both wanted to do it for love and not because it benefited the pack. "I don't know, it all depends on what we find." He told her.

Hayden smiled as she handed him the food, "Thank you. Water is fine." He said. He sat down and ate then finished his drink. "I shouldn't be long." He said to her. He looked at her for a moment before he left and headed to Weston's house. He opened the door, "Wes, let's go!" He called. He waited for his friend with the rest of the guys. He was hoping it was just a human that wandered to far but he knew better.

    --

Blair nodded, "Okay." She said. She heard Hayden yell for him, "Be careful." She said. She watched as he left and paced for a moment. She decided to clean to keep her mind off of him getting hurt. When she finished cleaning she sat on the couch, pulling a blanket over herself as she found a movie to watch on tv.

Riley made him a glass of water placing it before him, then headed to stove to quickly make her something to eat as well. Once her plate was on the table she grabbed herself a glass of orange juice then took her seat. She watched as he practically inhaled his food. She knew now something was really up when he didn't stop to enjoy the food. Shaking her head she turned to her food, taking a bit until he said he was leaving. "Be careful." She told him, letting him know she wasn't stupid and knew he was up to something dangerous. Once he was out of sight she started to eat again. But she wasn't as hungry as she'd been before.
Weston smiled as she told him to be careful, "Will do." He told her leaning towards her. He froze as he realized he was going to kiss her. Quickly turning he headed towards the front door, cussing himself in his mind. But the moment he was in the forest he quickly changed, then taking of in the forest after Hayden. Wondering if they were really going to come across the hunter or if they'd moved off. He was hoping for the later.

Hayden ran through the woods and stopped when they got to a cliff that over looked a clearly. He growled when he seen the camp that the hunters had set up. He looked at Weston then decided to run the rest of the perimeter. When they got back and changed, he pulled his jeans on. He looked at Weston, "We need to go tell my dad and get our shit in order." He said as he walked. He was really worried about this because the hunters were closer than they were before. He walked into his parents house and once they were done talking he went back to his place. He walked inside and locked the door. He looked at Riley, "We have a problem." He said.
Blair laid on the couch and watched the movie that was on the tv. She sighed when she realized that it was getting dark. She looked over as the door opened, sitting up as Weston came in. She could tell that something wasn't right. She crossed her arms, "What did you find?" She asked as she pulled her blanket closer.

Riley cleaned up the kitchen after she ate, moving though the house she didn't know what to do with herself. Sighing headed into the room and decided to start picking up in there and do laundry. She wondered if his mother did it because there was so much of it she wondered if he ever washed it or put it up. She figured since she didn't have anything else to do. As the day dragged on she managed to get all the clothes washed and folded and put away. She'd even managed to find herself some room from her stuff, she was officially moved in now. Nibbling on her lip she headed down stairs to on dinner. She knew that he said he'd be back shortly but she was starting to get worried now. Sitting down on the couch she did her best not to worry about him. It wasn't till the door open that she felt a bit of relief flood her. But his words paused her relief. "What?" She managed to peep out wondering if something today had changed with the treaty.
Weston headed home after dealing with his Alpha, he wasn't sure what the plan was but he knew that they'd be keeping close eyes on the hunters now. He offered her a soft smile knowing she'd been worried. But what he had to tell her wasn't going to help with her that. "We found them just on the west side of camp, I'd say there about twenty miles out from the perimeter, though they'd heading for the mountain so not sure how far they really are." He knew they'd been up hill from them and he'd never been good at determining distance.

Hayden walked over and sat down beside of her and looked at her. "My dad thought we had some hunters near use the other day. So today I took Weston and the guys and went for a run to check it out." He explained, "There is a camp of hunters about twenty miles from our perimeter." He explained to her. He could tell she looked upset. "It will be okay though because I went to talk to my dad and we are working up a plan just in case." He said. The last time they had dealt with hunters he had been really young and his pack handled it well. Hayden looked at his hands then looked at her, "I want you to stay in the house unless you are with me okay?" He told her. He didn't need her getting killed.
Blair nodded when he talked about the hunter, "Oh." She said. She was freaked out and she just wanted them to be gone. She looked at him, "What are you going to do?" She asked him as her fingers nervously played with the blanket that covered her legs. She pulled them up so he could sit on the couch if he wanted to. She was worried about her family now and if the hunters were going to go after them again. Blair looked at the tv, then back at Weston. She hadn't told him all about her last run in with the hunters and she didn't know if she was ready to tell him or not. She knew she was afraid though.

Riley looked down at her hands wondering why he felt the need to keep this from her. A soft sigh left her lip before she looked up at him. "Have you talked to Mark?" She questioned him hoping someone would at least warn him. "I know you don't like him, but he's dealt with hunter a lot and can give you some information it might be useful." She told him, before getting up and heading into the kitchen to check on the food. She really didn't want to talk about it too much as ever time they spoke about her old pack he was quick to became a dick.
Weston took a seat next to her before he shook his head. "I don't know," he sighed before leaning back his eyes slightly closed. He was very nervous. He now had her to think about, and she wasn't worried about him she was worried about her family and all her old pack. So he felt that was his responsibility as well. He knew that most wolves weren't concerned with their families after they mated, but you couldn't stop loving them even if you wanted to. "Have you eaten yet?" He asked her knowing that she'd more than likely been fretting all day long.

Hayden sighed when she mentioned her old pack. "I haven't spoken to him but i will have someone alert them." He said. He knew right now was not the time to upset her. Hayden got up and followed her to the kitchen, "What are you making?" He asked as he watched her move around the kitchen.

    --

Blair shook her head when he asked if she ate, "No, I was just watching movies. I can make something. What would you like to eat?" She asked as she pulled the blanket off of her. She decided to make something simple and made some hotdogs and macaroni and cheese. She knew they were both tired. She stared at the boiling water then looked at him when he came in. "Are they going to make you go out there again?" She asked him. Even if he didnt think she worried about him she did. When the food was ready she sat down with their plates.

Turning to look at him as he enter the kitchen she smiled. "Spaghetti." She said, to him taking the noodles off the stove to drain them. Once they were done she mixed it with the sauce, then started to make them a serving of it. Turning to look at him, "are you hungry?" She asked knowing that today had been stressful, and didn't know if he was hungry. Plus he'd more than likely want to shower as well. Though her thoughts were cut short when the timer beeped letting her know the garlic bread was done. Taking the pan out of the oven, she placed it on the stove before placing a couple of pieces of toast on their plates, then took them to the table. "Thirsty?" She asked him walking to the fridge she pull the picture of tea out and placed it on the table before grabbing them cups. Sitting down next to him.
Weston was about refuse her cooking but she was up and already about before he could drag himself into the kitchen and appose. Weston was caught off guard by her question as it didn't seemed like she minded him being gone. "More than likely, it just depends on what's needed." He told her, though he knew if his mother had anything to do with it he'd be here suppose to be working on them working towards mating. Though things were still a bit complicated.

Hayden nodded, "Yea i am pretty hungry. He sat down at the table and poured himself a drink. He began to eat. "Thank you." He said. He finished eating then cleaned up his plate and went upstairs to take a shower. He stripped out of his clothes and got in the shower, relaxing under the warm water. When he finished he got out and got dressed. He walked out and went downstairs. "Are you tired?" He asked her.

    --

Blair nodded, "Hopefully everything will be okay." She said. She ate her food with him then cleaned up in the kitchen. "I think I am going to go get ready for bed." She said. Blair got up and walked to their bedroom. She got ready for bed then laid down. She laid there waiting for him to come to bed. Blair was scared to fall asleep alone. When he came to bed she didnt say anything. They laid there in the darkness and a gunshot rang out in the distance. Blair instinctively slid closer to him, feeling his body against hers. She pulled the covers closer and closed her eyes.

"You don't have to thank me every time I cook for you." She told him, knowing it was going to happen all the time weather he like it or not. She enjoyed cooking and as long as she got to do what she'd like in her free time she didn't mind being in the kitchen. After finishing eating she watched as he left the table, she assume it was to shower. But she stuck around to clean up the kitchen. She'd been so lost in her cleaning she didn't realize that he'd even came down stairs. "Yeah I am." She told him, before hearing the gunshot. "What was that?" She asked wondering who'd be shooting knowing their was hunters out there, or wondering if that was the hunters.
Weston finished his food and headed straight to the shower he wanted nothing more than to wash this day off. He knew it was useless to fret over the day. After showering he pulled on a pair of sweats, then walked into the bed room. He noticed Blair already cuddled up into the sheets. Slipping into bed beside her he closed his eyes hoping to get some sleep. Though the moment a gunshot rang out he felt a shift in the bed and her body pressed against his. A soft smile pulled at his lips and his arm slipped over her waist. "Everything is going to be okay." He told her softly, "I've got you, nothing is ever going to happen to you." He whispered to her.
