A Chat Room

Hey, so I used to be really, really active on this site. Back in the old days with the Mibba Chat, writing bad poetry and stories... making profiles for others to use (I mean the coding side) and avatars and stuff...

Anyone out there from the old days? My memory is shocking, so you’ll have to forgive me!

I was never all that active (all of you guys totally intimidated me!) but I remember your username from way back in the day. Welcome back!

I kind of miss all of the coding for profiles and the 100x100 avas we used to have. And the chat. I lurked around the chat a lot but never ever really went into it. I barely talked to anybody on here pre-2014.

I miss doing it all to be honest, I should really make the time to get back into it, but now I’m married to a programmer and he thinks my coding is awful! But hey, it worked back in the day!

I always remember so many people lurking, I used to as well, and would talk if I knew someone about, but it was mainly having to wait until all the Americans came online normally! I stayed up for hours every night, it’s a wonder I actually finished school with decent marks.

I think it was more that I joined after everybody had mass-migrated from GSB/INO/Quizilla and already had their friend 'cliques' and I was too scared to invade those, haha. I ended up in my own little clique in the Elliot Minor fandom (which when I look back, was so small and pretty grim ha) but honestly, I stayed well away from everybody else because I was too scared to talk to folks

I do as well at stages. If I could find the time to sit down and actually make the effort, I'd re-code my profile but I honestly cannot be bothered because it's a mess and I'd have to find the motivation, ha. Hey, as long as it worked when it had to, that was all that mattered! Nobody was particularly amazing at coding back in the day anyway, we did what we had to in order to get along.

Yes! And it'd always be so busy when I was about to head off to sleep and I'd spend ages online when everybody else came online, but then I'd sacrifice sleep and actually doing homework and stuff. To be fair though, I did the same throughout uni and even now I kind of still do it (although not to as bad an extent) so I can't say it's something I ever grew out of, ha.

I used to hang out in the chat room all the time and I made so many friends from it. I remember being heartbroken when the chat feature was deleted. It was my life back in the day!

I used to read on here everyday for years. But now I can't see any new stories. I can only see stuff from 12 years ago for about months now. When is it getting fixed.

All updates can be viewed in the site news section of the site, but to make a long story short the site's creator Dujo needs to update / fix some coding for the site and admin are attempting to get in contact with him. We'll know something once they know something.

I understand that it's frustrating but Dujo is not an easy person to contact nor has he (publicly at least) frequented the site in at least five years. The last time he posted anything that I can see is a comment on a wall two years ago. He has a family and a life outside of Mibba; we need to be patient with him.

I was also really active on this site around that time. Iwent to college and all desire to write flew out the window. Then all the stories I was subscribed to stopped updating.
I'm writing again, and I've tried posting on here, but I literally don't know how any of it works anymore. Like, how do I italicize? HTML? CSS? I feel like I've been gone a century, and I come back to a ghost town. Where is everyone?

There are still some people around here, but the site has been in some problems, you can keep writing and post them, don't worry about other things, write it first.

About your question:

You can put your content between "[ i ][ / i ]" to italicize it, like "[ i ]abc[ / i]" -> abc (No blank in those tags, just for displaying them.)

In the same way, put the content between "b" tag, you can get BLOD

Other tags include "quote", "url", "img", ...

The site has been having some technical issues. We're not sure when it'll be fixed.

i never noticed this wee chat room until now, but god, i used to be mega active on this site. i mean, early days mibba. i went by sonny moore. back in the day, fluctuated between "skrillex", "fftl." & "matt good" ahhh those were the days eh

I've been around for what feels like a century, but I think a decade is more appropriate. I used to go by Ryan Ross. but I was super intimidated by a lot of people, and usually subsided in my own little bubble on here. I still have a hard time really connecting with people, yikes.
