I figured if I put some distance between the two of us, then you would get hurt because of me. Three, I am an idiot," he said, adding the last bit to lighten the mood a little. It was the truth though. He didn't know how he was able to walk away from her when his home was right with her.



"I know you are, but I'm still scared that you will leave again," Ava admitted. She couldn't help the feeling, and she had to let it out. She looked up at him and met his eyes. She moved her hand up and touched his face, her thumb on his bottom lip. "I have to know that after this hunt you won't go disappearing into the night without me there with you," she rambled. Looking into his eyes, she knew that he wasn't going to do that.

He knew that he couldn't leave her again. He couldn't hurt the both of them like that again. He couldn't go through not having her in his arms again. Just couldn't do it.



Ava finally pulled herself together and sighed. She rarely cried, but it was usually in front of Dean. He would hold her and comfort her through it all, and it was what she needed in moments like this. She believed him when he said that he would disappear. She smiled weakly.
