The hidden beast inside - Closed

Caleb nodded softly, "well it's through here, would you like me to help you across the hall?" he asked her. He had noticed her limping on her ankle. He moved towards her, to offer her his arm.

The house was pretty secure, especially this section of it. It had huge doors with bars designed to keep the monster outside of this section. In additon to that there were gates with locks in all the hallways, that were kept locked all the time.

Alma hesitated a moment before taking his arm, finding it much easier to walk with his help. "Thank you... Do you live in the cells too?" She asked curiously after a while, glancing around at all of the locked gates and wondering if it could really keep that monster out.

Caleb helped her across to the bathroom, "I stay within the castle, it's safer that way," he said lightly. He smiled weakly, "the monster sticks to being outside, most of the time," he added. He opened the door into a large bathroom, with a tub. "Like I said before, down here, you're safe, the doors are designed to keeo the beast out," he added.

"Castle?" Alma asked curiously, releasing his arm to grip the edge of the tub once she was close enough, turning on the water to fill the large tub with warm water. There were only a few castles within a reasonable distance from where she had been taken, and if she could narrow down which one it was, then perhaps she would be able to escape after all. However, she didn't think that anyone lived in any of the castles she knew of.

Caleb looked at her, "yeah, the Castle," he clarified. He watched her closely, "I'll go try and find some fresh clothes for you," he said lightly, "and maybe a bandage for your ankle," he added. He headed out of the bathroom, and upstairs, unlocking one gate at a time as he did so.

He felt bad for her, it must have been frightening to wake up in a strange place, but he hoped he could make it as pleasant for her as he could.

Alma frowned when he didn't give her much more information, sighing as she heard him locking the gates as he departed. Once he was gone and her bath drawn she stripped out of her dirty clothes before climbing into the bath, releasing a content sign as she let the clean, soapy water surround her and help release some of the tension in her muscles.

Caleb searched the castle, eventually he found a dress that would fit her. It was admittedly quite short, but he figured she wouldn't mind since it was cleaner than her other clothes. The clinking of the gates, annouched his return towards the bathroom.

He walked in slowly, covering his eyes, "I found something, hopefully it'll do, until I can clean your old clothes," he said lightly.

Alma sunk lower into the water when she heard Caleb return, eyeing him nervously over the edge of the tub, glad that the bubble bath that she'd put in the water had created enough suds to hide her. She nodded a little as she looked at the dress skeptically, wondering if it belonged to the last woman held captive by the monster.

"Thank you.." She murmured after a while, sinking below the surface of the water for a few moments to soak her hair before surfacing again, wiping the water from her eyes.

Caleb had nodded, and left the dress hanging over a chair in the room. After that he'd left the bathroom, to tidy up her room a bit.

He made up her bed, and collected the plates from her breakfast, before heading back upstairs. He was worried that she would never trust him, and he couldn't let her know the truth.

Alma waited until the water had turned cold before she got out of the tub, grabbing a towel and drying herself off before she slid on the dress, frowning as she tried to tug it down to cover her legs more, although this only made the neckline drop down too low for her taste. She sighed in frustration before slowly heading back out to her makeshift room, blinking a little in surprise when she saw that Caleb had made up her bed and tidied up the room. She felt bad that he was trapped here too, and being forced to take care of her.

Caleb had found her bag among the things upstairs. He had searched it, removing her phone, and placed it on the table in her room, with a small note. "I found this, Caleb".

He was upstairs relaxing down to his own meal. He really did hope that Alma was feeling more comfortable, in her room.

Alma's eyes lit up when she saw her bag, although she frowned when she realized her phone was missing, and while she assumed that it must have just fallen out somewhere, she couldn't help but think that maybe Caleb had taken it. She pulled the books from her bag and set them on the table, flipping through the pages for a few minutes before growing bored and returning to her bed, tugging the blankets around her to cover her cold skin, the short dress not keeping her very warm in the damp, cold cell. Soon enough she was asleep again, there not being much else to do when she was imprisoned.

Caleb settled down to relax for a few hours. After awhile he thought he should go check on her. He made his way downstairs, and looked in on her. He noticed her beautiful legs, as she'd curled up on the bed, the dress sliding up.

He moved into the room, and crouched down, pulling a blanket back over her exposed legs. "God you're beautiful, I can see why he spared you," he whispered softly.

Alma remained sound asleep even after Caleb had come into her room, despite the loud clanking of the gates as they opened. Her exposed skin was covered in goosebumps from the cold air, and she was grateful when he came and pulled the blanket back over her, letting out a little sigh as she curled up under the blanket once more, snuggling into its warmth.

Shortly after her eyes fluttered open, looking up at him sleepily as she stretched lazily. She frowned in confusion when she realized that he was watching her while she slept, rubbing at her eyes sleepily as she started to sit up. "Caleb..?"

Caleb shifted back slightly, when she spoke. "Uh sorry, I just wanted to check you were comfortable," he said softly. He noticed she was confused, but not scared; which warmed his heart. It had been so long since he'd had interaction with another human.

He moved back to the chair, "sorry that the dress is a little short," he said.

"I didn't know that I'd fallen asleep... I was cold and just wanted to get warm." She frowned a bit as she sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes again. She looked over at him when he sat down, tugging the blankets around her securely to ward off the cold. "Where did the dress come from?" She asked curiously, wondering if he knew.

Caleb looked at her, thinking for a moment. He couldn't tell her the truth, "No idea, I just found it upstairs," he said lightly. He blinked lightly, "I could try find you a heater for in here, it would help with the cold," he said softly.
His eyes drifted over her again, "would you like a book or anything to pass the time?" he asked

Alma frowned a little, watching him pause before he answered. He was lying, she knew it, and she couldn't help the panic that filled her as she worried that whatever fate the previous owner of the dress received would become her own fate as well. "A heater would be nice.." She murmured absentmindedly, suddenly feeling awful, like she might throw up. She probably had a concussion from when her head had hit the pavement, which would explain why she was so tired all of the time.

"No, I'm fine.. I had some books in my bag." She said, gesturing to the table before running her fingers nervously through her hair.

Caleb nodded, "okay I'll try find one," he said softly. He watched her sit up, eyes watching over her. 'Was everything in there? I found it outside," he asked her.

He stood up moving over to her, "how are you feeling?" he asked her, sitting down next to her.

"My phone was missing... Someone must have taken it.." She didn't want to accuse him outright, but she didn't want to pretend to be stupid, either. As he got closer it was easier to tell that she was not well. Her skin was rather pale and clammy, and it looked like she had a fever and could be sick any moment, the poor girl shivering slightly in the cool air. "I'm fine.." She murmured dismissively, even though it was obviously not the case, looking up at him warily.
