Ezra leaned against the door frame and studied at the way Evie applied make up, it was so different than what Ella did. Not that he was comparing Ella was always kind of bland but she was still beautiful. Evie was even more beautiful “I guess I should get going huh?”

Evie glanced at him in the mirror "I'm sorry am I holding you up? I can head back to my place if you need... I'll let you lock up and stuff?" She asked, picking up the coffee and taking a sip. "Fuck!" She said, her face brightening up in fright as the cup slipped from her hand. "Shit.. that was shorter than I expected, fucking hell" she swore, standing up brushing the hot liquid off her legs quickly, not even paying g atte tion to the now soaked carpet.

Ezra quickly shook his head, “no baby of course not, I just figured you’d lock up when you were ready..” he sighed and was quick to help her, “hey, it’s okay, come here let me clean you up a bit.” He grabbed a clean towel and rubbed some of the liquid off her, “did you want me to wash your pants?”

Evie shook her head softly "no it's fine I'll do it when. I get home" she said with a soft sigh, sure king some cool air in to her mouth to try and cool her tongue. "ez I'm so sorry, I'll pay to have your carpet cleaned I promise" she told him quickly.

"Yeah I can lock up.. can you leave me your key?" She asked.

Ezra nodded and looked at his nice carpet that now has a coffee stain on it, he’d be more annoyed if it wasn’t Evie. “Evie it’s okay baby, don’t worry about it.” Ezra has a spare key made for emergencies so he handed Evie one. “All right babe, I’ll see you later okay? Have a good day.”

Evie nodded gently, taking the key and slipping it in her pocket, wat Hing him as he left. She finished her make up and cleaned up the coffee stains as best she could. She decided to take a quick look around his apartment before she left. She felt bad moving around amongst his stuff, she knew she had no right to be nosing through it. Her heart stopped for a second when she opened the lid of a box that was in his dresser, seeing a bunch of stuff that had clearly been Ella's, along with photos of the two of them together. She wondered why he kept it all.

Ezra sighed as he walked out and headed to his friends’ to figure out their weekend plans. Clearly hanging out with his girlfriend wasn’t happening she had plans with her friends. Which was fine, he wasn’t trying to control Evie or anything, he sometimes just wished she wasn’t quite as wild and maybe that’s why he and Ella lasted so long. She didn’t really party and was loyal. Not to say Evie wasn’t loyal, he adored Evie she was the best, Ezra was just really insecure and needed to get out of his own head.

Evie could hear her heartbeat in her ears as she closed up the box, shoving it back in the dresser as she just sat there for a moment. She had never really put thought in to the fact that Ezra might not be over Ella... After all they had only broken up when she figured out he was cheating. Would they still be sneaking around if Ella hadn't realised?

Evie sighed loudly realising she didn't have time to wallow in those thoughts right now. She gathered her things and headed off to lunch.

Ezra walked to his friends’ house to just chill drink maybe place some video games just a lazy kind of weekend. When he got there they were all sitting around, “I heard your ex was dating again does that bother you?” Josh had asked Ezra. “Why would it? I’m the one that cheated Ella can do what she wants..” it did sting that she was quick to move in though, they had been together for a couple years.

Evie had a loovely afternoon at lunch, and had even treated herself to a couple glasses of champagne with her friend. By the time she headed back to her apartment to get ready for the night ahead, she didn't even need to pregame.

Her company has just been given a new account that was a really big deal so they we're all heading out to celebrate. Evie was really hoping she might get to be the lead solicitor on this one. She began to get ready, fixing up her hair and makeup before moving to her closet and trying on some outfits. Once ready she smiled at herself in the mirror and began to take some selfies. She sent a few to Ezra with a little drunk laugh before gathering her tings and calling a cab.

Ezra was having fun getting buzzed and playing games with his friends it had been awhile since they’ve hung out. At the same time he wondered what Evie was up to. He yawned while he heard his phone buzzed he looked at it and smiled. Evie was always such a damn tease.

“You look good baby, you having fun?” He was curious as to what they’d be doing but didn’t ask. He didn’t want to come off as needy or anything like that.

Evie smiled at his reply. "Just finished getting ready babe, on my way to the bar now" she replied quickly before hopping out of the can and heading inside. She liked the people who worked in her firm, they we're all young enough and we'll able to have a good time.

Ezra sighed and messaged her back, “have s good time babe and text me if you get too drunk,” he sent a winks face. Before going back to playing games, he couldn’t drink anymore seeing as he’d probably had to pick up and drive Evie home.

Evie had a great time while she was out, posting pictures and videos up on her story as she got progressively drunker and drunker throughout the night. At around 11 she sent a message to Ezra. "Alex is having ab after party, get drunk and come over around 1:30 I'll get you the address x" she text him with a giddy laugh.

Ezra messages Evie back letting her know that it was okay but not to get too drunk. He didn’t want to take her to the ER, not that it would happen. He sighed softly as he continued watching sports and just having laughs with his friends.

Evie continued to drink with her work pals, paying no attention to Ezra'a message. As the night came to a close she followed the small crew of her work friend that were closest back to Alex's house, along with several of Alex's friends and forwarded her location go Ezra.

Ezra read the message and looked at the time it was getting late, “I’m gonna go, Evie is probably too drunk to walk”’eh chuckled. He messaged her again, “hey, you doing okay? Is it cool if I come see you? Evie?” He rubbed the back of his neck. Starting to worry Evie loved to drink.

Evie saw his message, and began typing a response when she was pulled up off the couch by one of her work mates to dance. she began to laugh as they moved, assuming Ezra would just follow the location she had given him earlier.

Ezra followed the directions to the area not even thinking about it, he wanted to make sure she was okay. As soon as he pulled up he parked the car and walked up to the door, knocking waiting for someone to open the door.

One of the people at the party let Ezra in, expecting he was just another guest. Evie was sat on the sofa with Alex and a few other people playing a game of never have I ever. With the mix of both alcohol and drugs in her system, she knew she was pretty high and she was loving life.
