Aiden was more than happy to be back in his apartment and sleeping in the bed he shared with Bailey. A light giggle left Bailey as he nipped her ear. Though she was quick to kiss Aiden back gently, and sweetly. Slowly, she dropped her head down and rested her head against his with a content sigh. Bailey was excited to tell Aiden that she loved him. She knew that he was going to be over the moon once she finally said it back. But, in truth, she wanted to at least be a week away from the situation that had just occurred.

"You can choose." Bailey murmured to him. Her fingers slowly running through his hair. "Just don't pick anything gross." She teased him. Though Bailey wasn't concerned about that. At this point, they had an idea of what each other liked. Bailey let out a small hum before slowly rolling off of Aiden so he could leave the bed.

"I was thinking eggs, but now I want to make something gross." Aiden teased, humming happily as she ran her fingers through his hair, pressing a kiss to her cheek before sliding out of bed and heading to the kitchen, pulling a pair of sweatpants on along the way. Once there he made a big show about pulling out lots of odd ingredients that wouldn't go together, like ketchup and orange juice and yogurt, although when Bailey wasn't looking he worked on making the both of them omelettes, putting in everything he knew she liked in hers, and making his the way he liked it.

Once that was done he cooked a big plate of toast for them to share, and set everything down at the table before calling Bailey in. "Bails, breakfast is ready!"

As Aiden cooked them both breakfast, Bailey spent her time getting dressed and ready for the day. Though she did keep an eye on Aiden as she did so, watching all of the strange things he seemed to be putting into their breakfast. She couldn't help but wrinkle her nose at the sight of the soy sauce. Though once he called her for breakfast, Bailey made her way out with a large smile, being able to seem the omelets from the bedroom. She plopped down in her chair after giving Aiden a kiss. Happily, she started to eat.

"Thank you, Aiden!" Bailey said pleasantly. She took a few bites before beginning to speak again. "Did you want to go to the packhouse today? I could come with you if you would like. You know, show everyone that things are good again and that I'll be around more often?"

Aiden chuckled and returned Bailey's kiss before sitting down across from her and digging into his meal, nudging his foot against hers under the table, just because he could. He grinned a little when she offered to come to the pack house, shaking his head a little. "You don't have to. I don't think they expect me back there for a few days, which is fine by me. Besides, I doubt James will let you in unless you bring him brownies or a cake." He chuckled at the thought, taking a bite from his omelette.

"Is breakfast ok? There wasn't too much in the fridge, and I tried to put everything you like in, but not all of the vegetables looked too good, so I threw most of them out." He explained, wanting to make sure she was eating well. He'd been worried about her over the past week, worried she wouldn't take care of herself or would just up and leave, which scared him.

A warm smile moved over Bailey's face as he mentioned not having to go back for a few days. She lightly nudged his foot back before leaning over and pressing a kiss against his cheek. "Good," Bailey murmured lightly into his skin before pulling back. "The truth is, I want you all to myself for a little bit." Bailey pressed another kiss to his cheek before leaning back and beginning to focus on her meal. Bailey had been ready to start helping with the pack but she loved the thought of having all of Aiden's attention.

As Aiden started to mention the state of the fridge, she offered him a small shrug in response. Bailey hadn't gone grocery shopping after she had sent him away. Though, she hadn't been eating all that much or even well when he hadn't been around. Nor had she taken much care of the apartment but that was an easy fix before he came back. It seemed she forgot about the fridge in the process. Though, Bailey didn't really want to mention any of that to him. Aiden was quick to worry too much. "Breakfast is delicious," Bailey assured him with a warm smile. "And we'll just have to go to the store at some point."

Aiden grinned as she nudged his foot and leaned over to kiss his cheek, making sure to turn his head to catch her second kiss with his lips. "Hopefully you won't get sick and tired of me like everyone else. Then I won't know what to do." He teased, giving her hand a squeeze before focusing back on eating, humming in satisfaction. He, like Bailey, hadn't been taking care of himself while he was away, having got in a number of fights with James and the others over eating or bathing. He could tell that she hadn't taken the best care of herself, but because he hadn't either he figured he'd not point it out, as they'd both clearly been miserable when they were apart.

"We can go out later if you want. I can make a nice dinner for us, if you'd like?" He offered with a smile as he finished eating, standing to clean up and wash the dishes.

"I won't." Bailey assured Aiden, a warm smile on her face as she spoke. She glanced over at him for a long moment before turning her attention back to the meal in front of her. They were both quiet for a bit as they ate their breakfast. Though Bailey didn't mind She was rather hungry and, in all honesty, Bailey was just happy that Aiden was near again. She didn't need him to do anything right at that moment except be near.

As he spoke, she lifted her head back up from her meal and looked to him. After a moment, a small smile moved over her lips and she nodded to Aiden. "Yes, I think that is a great idea."

Aiden grinned as she said dinner sounded like a good idea, smirking a bit as he turned back to finish washing the dishes. "I'm full of good ideas." He boasted teasingly, pressing a kiss to her head as he walked past her to go back to their room to get dressed for the day, returning a few minutes later.

"So, what would you like to do in the meantime?" He asked as he took a seat on the couch. He honestly didn't care what they did, as long as she was with him. He'd missed her so much over the past week, and he'd do anything with her if it meant that he got to spend time with her and that she was happy.

Once Aiden was sitting on the couch, Bailey stood up and made her way over to him. For a moment, she stood in front of Aiden before plopping herself down onto Aiden's lap. A little hum left Bailey in thought before she continued on. "Movies." She whispered to him before lightly tugging on his shirt. "Lets just binge watch tv and cuddle," For a moment, Bailey peered out from his chest to see how Aiden reacted to her idea.

Aiden happily wrapped his arms around her once she was seated in his lap, pressing a kiss to her forehead as she admitted that she wanted to hold him, a little smile on his lips. "That's alright with me, Bails.." he murmured, running his fingers through her hair soothingly. He grinned when she suggested that they just cuddle and watch movies all day, nodding as he pressed a brief kiss to her lips before grabbing the remote. "Movies it is."

A week or so passed since their reunion, and things were going very well for Aiden and Bailey. Aiden had stayed home for a few days straight after she first let him come back, happy for the time alone with Bailey, although after the third day he decided to head back to the pack house to make sure everything was alright and that his pack knew what was going on. They were all excited of course about Bailey becoming his mate, and James and a few of the others were enthusiastically planning a party for the occasion, with plenty of food for the large pack to enjoy. Aiden had even brought Bailey to the pack house with him a few times, explaining to her what he usually did and dealt with on a given day, and explaining a few of the things that she might want to take on once she was properly his mate, although he reassured her that she wouldn't have to do anything if she didn't want to.

Today though was an off day, with Aiden trusting the pack to take care of itself while he stayed home with Bailey. Today was laundry day and he'd offered to help fold clothes while she swept and made lunch for them, although he was getting quite frustrated. He'd already had a hard time matching socks and had had to ask Bailey for help more times that he'd like to admit, and now he was struggling with folding up a fitted sheet that had been washed, mumbling to himself in frustration as he scowled at the fabric. What really upset him was the cat that was sitting on the fire escape outside one of the windows, as he knew based on the smug look on its face that it was laughing at him.

He finally snapped when the car began to scratch at the glass, lunging for the window to scare it away, although he'd gotten tangled up in the fitted sheet, and ended up on the floor after he tripped over himself. He sat up with a groan, mumbling about the goddamn cat, and how one day he'd catch it and make it pay, and that if he ever saw another fitted sheet again he'd burn it rather than fold it.

The first few days with Aiden back had been bliss for Bailey. She was more than pleased to have him all to herself. Plus it seemed that both of them needed the time to love and be loved. Though Aiden heading back to the pack made things a bit more difficult for Bailey. Not that she minded him taking care of the pack but the new additions of Sandra's old pack worried her. And, though she didn't want to admit it, Bailey was a little nervous about them reacting to her after she kicked out their alpha, even more so now that she was soon to be helping Aiden as well. But the pack members she knew welcomed Bailey back happily and the others were still warm to her. And each time she went with Aiden, she felt more confident in the belief that she could help Aiden.

Though while more time with the pack had was slowly soothing Bailey, the opposite was occurring with getting Aiden back. The first few days, Bailey had easily convinced herself it wasn't time yet, but as each following day passed, Bailey grew a little more anxious about telling Aiden the truth. It was a good kind of anxious, but none the less, she could feel the pressure. Bailey could feel herself falling into the trap of wanting to find the perfect time to tell Aiden that she loved him. But, at the same time, she felt as though it would burst out of her. It was just little things that he did that made her feel so strongly about just blurting it out. But, though she knew how Aiden felt, she knew he deserved to be told in some grand way. Bailey knew he wanted her to feel the same way badly for some time. So, she was slowly coming up with a plan, but whatever it was needed to be done before the next week was out. He had to know before the mating ritual. At least the thought didn't plague her 24/7, it already seemed impossible enough to hide anything from Aiden with the way he just seemed to sense her feelings.

None of this, however, was on the young woman's mind as she set the broom down against the counter. She had been watching Aiden closely as he seemed to struggle with the laundry, and now with the cat outside of the window. It was comical, really. How he reacted towards the furry creature, almost like a real dog. But once Aiden got himself tangled up in a sheet, Bailey grabbed onto the counter for support as she started to laugh hard. "How did you even manage that!" Bailey barely was able to get out through her laughter. "I don't even understand! Oh, I love you so much but you're like a puppy! That little kitten was just -." Once the words slipped out and Bailey realized what she had said, her hands flew up to her mouth and covered them. Her eyes widen and she looked to Aiden, wondering if he had even heard what she had said. Part of her hoped he did and the other part was fearful that she had just ruined her confession. She looked straight at Aiden, waiting to see how he would react.

Aiden groaned as he tried to untangle himself from the sheet from where he lay on the floor, cursing softly as he promised himself he'd get that cat next time, that the only reason he hadn't was because he'd been caught off guard. He glanced over at Bailey and pouted as he saw her laughing, sitting up to look at her with a little childish frown. He was about to respond to her and say something about the cat deserving it, although as he processed her words he blinked in surprise, staring at her for a moment before his eyes lit up hopefully, feeling like his heart was beating a mile a minute.

"You.. You love me?" He asked hopefully as he scrambled to his feet, being extra careful to not fall again since he was still a bit tangled in the sheet, although he really wanted to run to her and kiss her at the moment. Bailey loved him. Or at least she'd said she did, but based on her reaction it seemed like she hadn't meant to say it, which worried him a bit.

Bailey could feel her heart melting as she watched Aiden. The way his voice filled up with hope, how he scrambled to his feet and looked to her. It seemed almost impossible how much she swelled up from that little moment. Bailey let her hands drop, laying them back down onto the counter, revealing a large smile. Any nerves that she felt had dissipated, though she did still feel a bit disappointed that he found out like this instead of what she was beginning to plan out.

"I was hoping to tell you in a more... well, a romantic way. I kinda had a plan forming but it seems I couldn't hold it in anymore." Bailey let out a little laugh before giving Aiden a small nod. "Yes, I love you, I love you so much Aiden. And I promise I haven't been holding back for too long. I realized it when you were gone at the packhouse and I just realized how much I missed you and needed you and, well, loved you."

Aiden released a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding when he saw Bailey smiling, shuffling over to her as quickly as he could with the sheet tangled around his legs as she explained how she'd been trying to figure out how to tell him and just how much she loved him. Once in front of her he need down at her like an idiot for a long moment, gently cupping her cheek in his hand before he pulled her into his arms and spun her around happily, pressing a loving kiss to her lips once he set her back down.

"I love you so so much, Bailey. I can't tell you how afraid I was that you wouldn't.." he trailed off, resting his forehead against hers. "I knew you must feel something when you agreed to the mating bond, but I wasn't sure if you felt the same as I do toward you, or if you would ever... God, I love you so much, and I'm just so, so happy that you love me too." He pressed another kiss to her lips, keeping her in his arms.
